Foods that are good for your heart. -- That diet includes, of course, heart-healthy foods such as nuts, fish, whole grains, olive oil, vegetables, and fruits, but don’t be afraid to treat yourself occasionally with a glass of red wine or a piece of dark chocolate. Nutritionists suggest using this list as a guide to create meals and snacks with a healthy focus. Just a few simple swaps could make a big difference for your cardiovascular health.. Eat fish high in omega-3s, such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring, and trout.. A handful of healthy nuts such as almonds or walnuts will satisfy your hunger and help your heart.. Berries are chock full of heart-healthy phytonutrients and soluble fiber. Try blueberries, strawberries, blackberries or raspberries in cereal or yogurt.. Seeds. Flaxseeds contain omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and phytoestrogens to boost heart health. Take them in ground or milled form to reap the greatest benefit. Chia seeds also provide omega 3, fiber and protein and can be eaten whole.. Oats are the comfort-food nutrient powerhouse. Hello! I am confused about what you were saying that you should only eat foods that are 700 calories or less per pound, but you recommended quinoa which is 1696 calories per pound. Also, i was always confused because quinoa is a seed and contains 14% of calories from fat. Just hoping you could clear this up! I loved this style video!:)
I quite often have chips with my dinner. Recently, I’ve swapped from potato ones to a new kind made out of parsnips, carrots and sweet potato. They’re lower in fat and higher in vitamins, minerals and fibre. I prefer them so that’s a food swap that will work.
Conversely, I tried switching to low sodium salt and I won’t stick with that because I don’t like it. I end up craving actual salt and I don’t like the taste.

I am literally at the exact weight you were before 155 and I’m 28. In high school and early 20s I always naturally maintained 127 to 134ish. I’m 5”5. This is really inspiring I just need to lose some tummy man and face weight man also slimmer thighs

Heyy emmie i would like to see more what to eat in a day for weight loss cause i don t know how much i have to eat on this diet:)) i really can eat a pot of lentils and feel full but i m scared that that s too many calories love you. I loved this video so much! It really helped me straighten out some of my priorities. For example, whenever I have a “healthier” pizza (maybe a whole wheat or cauliflower crust, maybe less cheese, maybe some veggies on it that I don’t like) I just end up feeling the need for “real” pizza a day or two later. Versus with french fries, I choose sweet potato fries instead whenever they are on the menu, still a treat to me, but with slightly more added nutrients and french fries aren’t a huge favorite for me so I don’t feel like I’m missing out, just that I’m eating something else yummy:)
Shes actually eating a higher fat diet than carbs. She could eat more carbs and cut the fat and still amount to the same amount kf calories because higher fat foods have like 50-70 percent more calories than carbs.

Wow great job. In the beginning of June I weighed 135 pounds. I’m 5,2 and 135 pounds is not really a good weight for me. I didn’t like how I looked so I decided that over summer I was going to eat healthy, exercise, and drink a gallon of water every day. So I started to do that and over the month of June I was able to lose 8 pounds. And In the beginning of July I weighed 127 pounds. After that i have lost 3 more pounds. So now I weigh 124 pounds. My goal is to weigh 115 pounds. I only have to lose like 9 more pounds to reach my goal. Does anyone have tips for me on how to lose the last 9 pounds? Even if you don’t, please comment on this so I can come back to this comment and update you at the end of July on how many more pounds I lost.:)

Love these types of videos! One thing I do to make chips (crisps) is to use a mandolin slicer which makes the potatoes suuuuper thin, and then use the microwave!
I know some people are scared of the microwave but these turn out so perfectly that it’s worth it to me to get that true chip crunch!

I snapped my fingers at a bowl of chips for 3 hours and they didn’t turn into carrots. then I tried slamming a jar of mayo, trying to make avacados, but all I got was a kitchen covered in mayo. what am I doing wrong payless?

Hi Emmie! I find that if I add a little bit of fat to my diet (around 20g a day total), I am more satiated and thus eat less calories overall. What do you think? Is it still possible to lose weight despite eating some overt fats? Thanks!

Healthy fats, avocado, pb are not weight loss foods but yet Ive lost weight, reached my goal weight eating a WFPB diet including all macronutrients, carbs,protein, veggies and fats! ♀️

Hii Emmie, I would like to address something: bread has less calories than rice and oats so I don’t understand why you say rice and oats are weight loss foods but bread isn’t. Bread is a starch and low fat so I think WHOLE WHEAT bread is perfect for weightloss as well as rice and oats.❤️

I quite often have chips with my dinner. Recently, I’ve swapped from potato ones to a new kind made out of parsnips, carrots and sweet potato. They’re lower in fat and higher in vitamins, minerals and fibre. I prefer them so that’s a food swap that will work.
Conversely, I tried switching to low sodium salt and I won’t stick with that because I don’t like it. I end up craving actual salt and I don’t like the taste.
one of the secrets to a healthy food swap is to make sure that you actually like the food you’re switching to.

Hey girl! Just out of curiosity, I am really trying to quit coffee…It messes up my sleep so badly and ends up causing me to feel fatigued. I know its not great for me. What do you recommend your patients do when they are trying to quit? I have tried SO many times to quit and am just needing the extra help/push!

Hello! I am confused about what you were saying that you should only eat foods that are 700 calories or less per pound, but you recommended quinoa which is 1696 calories per pound. Also, i was always confused because quinoa is a seed and contains 14% of calories from fat. Just hoping you could clear this up! I loved this style video!:)
