  • This was super amazing and very helpful. I can’t wait to try these and this was the first video I’ve caught of yours. Wow, it will keep me coming back for more!!

  • Cauliflower? Can i use potatos?
I look on u tube resipe books and couldent find buthing on freezer meals thanks so much u make my life easier

  • I have watched a couple videos and I think they are great. I know you are a busy mom but I really like the videos that you put the ingredients in the notes. Great video I will be doing some of the recipes

  • I’ve tried making your meals, but each time I freeze the meals and thaw out, the vegetables always come out mushy. How do I get the vegetables to thaw out and reheat firm?

  • Definitely trying the stuffed pepper one! I just made a sour cream noodle bake separated it into dishes and froze one. Super nice for school. Thank you!

  • Can you make more videos like this, or of any of your recipes are freezable could you mention it. It would be greatly appreciated.

  • Luv the great recipes, Sara, I didn’t know you could just freeze fresh Spinach without parboiling, thanks! Luv how organized your freezer is, we have a large chest freezer, but I luv how your upright freezer is set up! #FreezerMealGoals

  • Why is it that (nearly?) all dishes include cheese, meat and are baked? Doesn’t seem that creative to me besides the facts that it’s not healthy and sustainable…

  • I had to modify your recipe for Stuffed Pepper Casserole. I didn’t have any ground turkey or chicken, just breakfast sausage and ground beef so I used beef stock and brown rice. It turned out great!!! When I go to the supermarket next week I will pick up some pork stock and maybe try a breakfast version of this. And I did have a Green Chili that I added.

  • I grew up with beef in Shepard’s pie. Not a cauliflower fan, so will stick with potatoes. Also, we always added a layer of cheese on top (yummy). Loving your recipes.

  • I used to make freezer burritos with layers of coming inside, but now to make it quicker to prepare I just mix them all together and then use the mix to fill the tortilla!

  • Thank you so much for these!!! I work long hours and I’m trying to finish my masters degree, what involves my boyfriend attempting to cook a couple nights a week. Lets just stay most times he cooks we end up in ordering in.

  • Sometimes you put the garlic in at the beginning with the onions, sometimes you add it after all veggie/meat… how do you decide?

  • tasty i’m begging you, please, for the love of god… post a recipe compilation that doesn’t involve dairy products. i’m so lactose intolerant that even watching these recipes makes my stomach hurt

  • This may be a stupid question, but when you make the meals, do you just bake the meal as normal, let it cool, freeze it, and then cook it again from frozen when you want it or do you let it thaw and cook it again orrr???

  • I watch Rie make some amazing things on this channel and it makes me like this channel more every time. Then I see videos like this and I wonder if I’m watching the same channel.

  • I really love your channel, newly subscribed. Is there any way to know how many calories or an approximate on these three meals…just curious…keep up the good work

  • OMG the amount of cheese in every video is staggering!
I’ll start looking and think “ hey this looks good” and then at least two types of cheese is dumped in and I immediately go off it….

  • It’s really obvious that you just got random recipes and slapped on a title.. because you didn’t even show how to freeze/thaw the meal. and WHO is freezing pasta.

  • I find if you leave the cookies to defrost on the cookie sheet for at least 30 minutes, you do not have to add cooking time. I like to defrost them when I am making dinner, then cook them after dinner is done. That way the oven is already warm and we have warm cookies after dinner.:)

  • That casserole looked Devine! Was there a video on the pasta portion of the casserole? The rest is self explanatory, but it oh boy wouldn’t I love to try that!

  • Hey there! Question: I love your channel and have a question on substitution for your corn bread on top of the chili in this recipe as I can no longer have corn. What would give me that delicious crusted topping-potatoes? Help!!!

  • after spending quite a bit of time youtube you’re officially my go-to Youtuber for food!
can i make 1 suggestion? in some recipes adding in amounts (cups, tablespoons, etc) would be really helpful. but MY GOSH everything you make looks incredible! SERIOUS FOOD INSPO happening! <3

  • You’re my sister from another mister girl! Lmao….I love you! Thank you so much for these freezer meal ideas. Now….gimme some more!

  • I made the turkey/pepper dish. It was sooooo good. Much more flavor than I expected and we couldn’t even taste the turkey flavor because of the tomatoes. Thank you for sharing!

  • Just started freezing meals for my significant other as I head overseas to work. Not sure how it’ll turn out but your video was a great guide thank you so very much! Sending love from Singapore!

  • Do you want some comparison trivia from Australia?
In Australia what you cooked as Shepherds Pie is Cottage Pie, we use lamb in shepherds pie. We do not layer the meet and veg. We brown the meat and then add the veg to the meat, mixing them together.

  • Can you tell me where the hell you living to get this size of Mozzarella cheeze for 2$?? Here it’s like 14$ lmao.. Nice ideas btw!

  • Love the kids. Well done on the meals. You’ve given me some good ideas. I’m at a burn out point. Keep doing the same ol stuff all th time. Thank you

  • You can use that water you boil the chicken in as chicken broth. Just add a little s&p, onion powder, garlic powder and throw in a mir poix veg mix from the freezer. Strain and you have chicken broth

  • When using frozen vegetables making shepherds pie do you cook the vegetables first? I just came across the channel yesterday and I absolutely love it. I am motivated to cook again. Thank you so much! Love seeing the Mommy part of you while cooking that is real life (at least for me). I will be making several of the dishes.

  • Hi Sara Lynn! Question, would the food be prone to freezer burn with it sitting in the freezer for 4-6 months with only a foil wrapping?

  • As a twist on the creamy mash, I love to infuse some garlic clove in warm milk (dairy or non dairy, as you prefer) on the stove until the garlic is falling apart. Some garlic paste will do the trick as well. Then mix the infused milk and some broth (veggie or chicken) in the vegetable mash. If it’s too runny, just stir on a medium high heat until the liquid is absorbed. And mix a hint of butter, just for the beauty of it.

  • They look delicious, but you only gave re-heating instructions on the first. Is it just a general rule to try 3-4 minutes straight out of the freezer?

  • I have a tiny freezer with only four shelves. Do you have any tips on how I can still do meal prep? And also we use all four shelves so I have basically no space:(

  • Love these videos because almost everyday I’m super busy so it’s nice to just pull out something I already prepared from the freezer

  • These recipes make me so thirsty! Feeling like I’ll need a big ass glass of water, tea, coffee to get it down. I’ll pass but thanks for the inspo!

  • All 3 look so delicious and unique! As a single person, I like to have access to single servings. Do you have advice about how to portion these into single servings before freezing?

  • Girl! I just found your channel and I’ve been binge watching ever since. I’m learning SO much! When you took the mixer to shred your chicken*mind blown* lol

  • I just discovered you. You are my hero!!! I’m the same type of cooking mom meaning, I love to make dinner but make a very large amount & freeze half of it. It’s an enormous help. I always say I’m gonna set time on the week & put together make ahead meal & nver end up doing it. Lol! So I love your idea of making dinner & serving one while freezing the other. Thank you!

  • For the chicken and rice dish I’d add some carrots and peas for veggies. Or make some veggies on the side. Everything looks tasty. Can’t wait to cook these

  • Ughhh, shepherds our makes me puke. It’s one food that I absolutely despise. I had it way too much growing up as a kid. Hers looks a lot better than my mom’s though which consisted of ground beef, mashed potatoes, cheese and if we were lucky some mixed vegetables.

  • Being a mom of 8 boys, yes you read it correctly, these are some great ideas. I love the cookie and the casserole freezer meals. Thank you

  • How long can I keep these meals in my freezer? I wan to meal prep my lunches for work but I don’t know how long they will keep in the freezer.

  • Definitely not keto friendly but some of them can be changed up to be keto friendly…I’ve loss over 100 lbs in a year not going back

  • When u cook the shep pie add a sprinkle of cheese on top of the “mash” and when u added the cauliflower use a fork to form them lines;)

  • i’m intimidated by reheating food from the freezer. can you show some occasions when you get pre-cooked meals out fo the freezer and reheat them for dinner please? i’m living for these videos!!

  • Hey Alyssia, I love watching your channel. I was wondering if you could do a superfoods explanation video/ what superfoods are actually good for you? That would be very helpful

  • Sheppard pie can also have a cream soup base to be different. You could throw tater tots on top, or biscuits. Great meals. Still watching lol. Ok another suggestion, which may sound strange, but please give it a try. Make one lasagna with breakfast sausage. It is amazing. Different then regular ground beef. Can be much cheaper too. Loving all the meal ideas. I’m getting my month of meals together. I’m alittle behind. Thank you for the videos

  • For tator tot hotdish if you can find sweet potato Puffs(tator tots) those taste amazing instead of the regular tator tots. I usually get the brand alexia in an orange and white bag. Some Walmart’s carry them not sure if they all do or not? But if you can find them you should definitely try them!

  • Can we make the Sheppard’s Pie with Mashed Potato Topping instead of the Cauliflower Topping?

I personally like mashed Cauliflower but unfortunately the rest of my family does not like it at all which is why I am wondering if I can use the Potato instead. I definitely want to make this dish and freeze it but I’m not sure if you are able to freeze mashed potatoes on the top or should I just make the meat part and prepare the mashed potato Topping fresh while the meat is thawing before putting in the oven?

  • Anyone have any recommendations on what to use other than aluminum pans? Also do yall reuse yout aluminum pans or just throw away?

  • I really love all the freezer meals for the week that you have posted. They are all SO good and are saving my work week life. More of these please!

  • I added the onions and garlic with the green bell pepper let that cook. I then added corn, kidney beans, rice, oregano, salt and pepper.

  • oh wow I love this idea. I’m due in September and plan on doing the large dinner freezer meals but these would be awesome to add so I can have an easy lunch! And since I have allergies I can’t have most processed frozen dinners.

  • I’ve been freezer cooking for a while now and your plan here and in part is the best one I’ve come across. Every recipe looks like one my family will enjoy and you instruct in such a clear way. The prices suit our budget perfectly as we are retirees. This payday I am going to follow your plan. Thank you so much!

  • these look delish!! i’m thinking of trying the pilaf for dinner, but could only find regular short grain brown rice (it’s still raw, though). Would that work as an easy substitute or would that affect the cooking time?

  • Pretty much all food is freezer friendly lol. I store leftovers and foods for my meal prep in the freezer all the time and they taste fine

  • just made the shepards pie…. SO INCREDIBLE! me and my boyfriend are now obsessed and will make this all the time and totally be sharing with our friends:D THANK YOU!!

  • I just bought the big book package, and somewhere you say to defrost freezer meals for a day before heating up. Can we just put these straight in the microwave? You know that’s what we’re all going to try to do, because freezer meals are for when we forgot to plan.

Also, how do I use DIY Ranch seasoning from Unjunk your Food? Where can I find your recipe to make dressing from it?

My favorite summer ingredients are stone fruits and yellow corn (which I can’t find anymore-why?) and holy basil.
My new favorite summer salad is watermelon, peaches, basil (regular Italian, but I’d like to try other kinds) and feta.

  • oh my God, i love your receipes!! thank you so much for sharing healthy meals, it helps me a lot to find ideas to mel prep and to follow my weightloss journey

  • Just moved the London; waiting for uni to start loved your back to school videos!! (But I’m more intrigued with freezer meals cause when uni starts; there aint any time to cook HAHA)

  • This is unreal!! I’m a student and decided to start working in summer as a side job so as to have some experience. I was finding it so difficult because I didn’t know what to eat and nothing was prepared. I ended up eating junk food and buying from convenience stores and having nothing healthy in hand. I’m so happy with your videos, you have so many to choose from and the brilliant part is that they are all so different! I can see the effort and dedication that you put in every video and that is why I appreciate you so much!! Looks like you love what you do, and that inspires me so much to do the same, work-wise. You deserve a million subscribers, I know you’ll get there and proud to be one that will follow your journey with this channel and where it takes you!!
    Much love:)

  • Yin Yang sign in the salt and pepper. I love it. Small detail makes a big statement showing the effort put into these videos. Subscribed as soon as i saw that!

  • I appreciate the video as I was looking for ideas for homemade frozen meals that can be made at around $1-1.50 per meal. I almost stopped watching at the first dish because of the expense of buying fresh berries on top of meat is just not in the budget, but the second dish is a great idea and can be made more cost-effectively. I am unsure of the third because I would want a less expensive and more environmentally friendly substitute for the beef, but the beef seems pretty integral to the dish.

  • Can you do a series on crockpot meals? I find a lot of crockpot meals that have to cook for 4-6 hours but work 8-9 hr shifts that makes it hard.

  • I freeze meals like this too, but am having a hard time reheating…I try defrost then heat or just heat, but stays frozen in the middle…..ideas?

  • No seasonings at all. Must be bland as hell. A little salt and pepper in ground beef does not add anything especially once you drain it.

  • I’ve heard people saying that if you freeze Food all the nutrients are Lost, is it true? I have been following you for over a month and all your food prep and freezer meals have been working sooo well for me! I personally don’t care ir some nutrients are lost, because Food prepping makes it easier for me not to buy take-out but I would still like to know your thoughts about this!

  • Hi, just found your channel! Love it! You are beautiful and your children are adorable. I’m 68 and, too, am learning you can shred chicken with a mixer!! Duh….loved the recipes and look forward to learning more from you in the near future…..Mary

  • But, why no from-frozen directions if the video title says “freezer friendly”? Wouldn’t the ceramic or glass pans break if going from the freezer to a hot oven? I’ll admit, casseroles aren’t my specialty, but I’d hoped this video could teach me a few tricks as advertised in the title. ‍♀️

  • What’s the point to freeze “healthy meals” when you use tomato paste, cans and other processed foods to begging with? I mean… aren’t cans and jars already saving you time? I guess I need to look somewhere else.

  • I watch a lot of vegan youtubers but never really bother recreating their food exactlybut all of these look amazing! Definitely going to try them

  • have you ever tried tater tot casserole with cream of chicken? Also, sometimes I use leftover taco instead of plain hamburger… deeeelish

  • I just came across your channel and found all these wonderful, family-friendly casseroles. Can I come to your house for dinner? Everything looks so delicious!! TFS your ideas.

  • Ok I’m not gonna lie…as a student with little money I clicked on this video with a lot of excitement and anticipation. Since then I have concluded 2 things:

    1) Holy feck I do not have the money to buy half of these ingredients.
    2) I made a tortilla based lasagne a while ago as I didn’t have any lasagne sheets in my flat and was just trying to put something together that I could eat for a few days. Now although it was edible and surprisingly better than expected, I can tell you now that it is not worth your time deliberately doing it if you have the option not to, i.e. do not make the fecking bean casserole. It makes me genuinely sad to see what I did at 2am in desperation as the basis for a recipe on Tasty

10/10 would recommend other things I’ve done though like bacon and mushroom lasagne (hence the lack of lasagne sheets), bodged bolognese using tinned tomatoes, beef stock and herbs worked well and was done in 10 mins and last but not least Moroccan rice i.e. rice, tinned chickpeas that were reduced and spices.

Good luck to all fellow students out there and may the lords of the reduced section of your local supermarket look mercifully upon you

  • We have very different tastes and I don’t tend to like the things you make, but I can’t stop watching your videos your personality is just so fun

  • Heyyyyy why not prepare the pans then freeze them and pop em out of the freezer and bake the day you are going to eat em? Just a thought?

  • Great video Alyssia, I so need to try a few of these recipes, especially the BBQ Chicken! I luv your olive oil bottle, do you happen to remember where you purchased, sometimes the big bottles I purchase of oil are just cumbersome! Thank you!!

  • Honestly? I hope nobody cooks this on a regular basis as it is mostly fat and carbs…

It might be tasty but it is far from a healty diet.

  • I love watching these videos and it gives me a lot of inspiration, but at the same time I feel like if I tried to do this particular meal prep it would probably take me 3-4 hours, not just two. I can’t imagine doing all the stuff in each of those steps in only 10-15 minutes!

  • These have to be the most tasteless meals. Too many people making “recipes” based upon how well they look on FILM and not by taste. Salt isn’t a spice. Color doesn’t make food taste good. Mmmohmygawd.

  • Can you please include how you reheat and how long you safely keep in refrigerator? Curious in relation to breakfast burrito wraps? Great video.

  • Hi, have you ever tried Barilla Lasagna noodles? They’ll take your Lasagna to next level! They are thin and more like homemade. No more expense but so worth it!

  • This video deserves 1M views, all the recipes look so good and could be made adaptable in any country. You could save families 1000s on their grocery bill. More like this!! Welldone.

  • I love how the Lord blesses us as woman, wives, girlfriends, mothers, mothers to be, SAHM, and working career women to all come together like this and share ideas and be a blessing one to another…..Thank you Lord for blessing me to be a part of this. This is beautiful! And big ups to the red discount stickers on the meat at Aldis….those stickers are a blessing!

  • Thank you so much it was fun to much now I need to go make these for my family I really enjoy your channel I’m new here thank you for sharing

  • Hey! Thanks for the video! I have a question…the problem I run into is freezer burn. I have the same containers as the video, and it won’t last more than two days without getting freezer burn. Do you use the same containers all the time, or do you know of any better ways to protect the food? Thanks!

  • Great video cottage pie is what you created shepherds pie would have you using lamb mince ground lamb to you Americans. Great content keep up the great work.

  • I’m a new subscriber and I love your content. My kids are 22, 20, and 18 but I have chronic illnesses and love cooking easier when I can. We also finally got an Aldi and I haven’t been since 2010. I was amazed at all the new stuff they have. This store is twice the size of the others I had been to, especially the one we shopped at in Germany. When this one opened I saw an older couple that was mad because they had been waiting for it to open and thought it was just a store with generic items. I asked them if they knew about the guarantee and they didn’t really know anything and when I told them they were surprised and didn’t end up leaving. So glad to help others discover the wonder that is aldi!

  • the issue here is that she’s so restrictive about what she does that she would likely stab you in the spine if you contradicted anything she says or does. sure, very efficient.. extremely efficient.. ive worked with your type before. And now, if everything goes perfectly for you, all is well. And if not, you purchase gun licence, and research bomb making, and then you go postal. No thank you. Nut baller. Please smoke a cigarette and drink a martini. For humanity. Please, 70% of all humanity has done both. You’re the outlier. The anomaly. The freak. But I have saved your video, because I want to be the median. The peacemaker between the freaks like you, and the ones that you judge so so so harshly

  • I’m one of those people!.. I’ve never had Shepherd’s Pie! Didn’t even know what it was. Same goes for meatloaf! (Don’t kill me! We’re Mexican so this just isn’t something my momma cooked ya know)
Love your video though & your baby!

  • Well so far… I’ve made the chicken pot pie and I’m literally in love. I used a bag of frozen veggies, and left over chicken. (Part shredded chicken made for bbq chicken sandwiches 1/2 was reserved for either this or the chicken and rice and part left over rotisserie chicken from dinner last night. Haha).
But I took 1/2 my filling and froze it separately then we’ll make a new pan later with the crust. (I don’t have a lot of freezer space until we get my new freezer)

  • I find the task of chopping up fruits and veggies daunting. Can you do a video on tips and tricks how to go from the store to meal prep ready? Love your videos even my kids look forward to watching them and picking out their favorite meals.

  • Does the cottage pie and where’s the gravy? I lived in the UK for 15 years and I’m tired of hearing cottage pie called shepherd’s pie and not having gravy. Yes shepherd’s pie is made with lamb Shepherds herd sheep.

  • i HATE warm sweet things so i hated oats my whole life but i wanted to like them cause they’re so good for you and cheap and my mom was like “so don’t make them sweet” and i was so shook. pretty much have had savory oats everyday for breakfast for like a year and people think it’s so weird but it’s BOMB

  • The cheesey potato casserole and the Chicken parmesan baked ziti look good. The other three?
Looks like something a small child came up with when their parents “let the make dinner”. Especially that last one. NONE of that goes together. Ick!

  • While I enjoy these videos, can we get some freezer friendly meal prep that does not include that much dairy, pasta and greasy stuff?

  • Your Sheppard’s pie sounds and looks divine. My hubby is diabetic and can’t have all the carbs so I am always looking for recipes for him.

  • I think thats the most appetizing savory oats recipe Ive ever seen, honestly it doesnt tempt me that much when people make savory oats but this one looks just FANTASTIC!

  • Your pronunciation of Wustershire was perfect I’m from Manchester, England. I know these things. Theres also some debate amongst Brtis about, whether or not Shepherds pie should be with beef, because a shepherds wouldn’t eat their own lambs. I don’t really care as long as it tastes good!:D

  • could you do a different kind of soups video please? i love tomato soup but the canned one is so high in carbs and not healthy at all, would love to see you remake on it! xoxo from michigan

  • Hey tasty,

I just want to point out that Walmart is selling out of date cupcake decoration kit. I’m very very sad that they don’t even care about the expiration date.

    Your dear, Fan

  • The first batch turned out great but the frozen batch never cooked the corn bread on top properly….im disappointed! never going to freeze meals again……unless someone here has any tips…pls help!
PS: I had defrosted it overnight in the fridge before popping it in the oven for lunch

  • Hi Sarah Lynn!! Thank you for the shepherds pie recipe! I made it for thanksgiving today and I was so surprised! I didn’t miss the potato crust at all! Definitely making this again for Christmas!!

  • Loved all of it what I’m not fond of is the frozen zucchini it gets too soggy for my liking but that is not your fault! Lots of love your way

  • I Am ok with boiling the chicken breasts, because I can shred it all at once and bag it, season it and dump it on crocker…. so I do not mind cooking it first.

  • I’ve tried meal prep and freezing zucchini before and when I reheated it it was super soggy and gross. The slices were thick and lightly sautéed. So disappointed when I reheated it. What’s ur tip to keep the crunch once u grill zucchini?

  • I’d love a video on freezing seasonal items. I know how to freeze avocados and tomatoes but there are so many things I’m sure I could be freezing wrong or have no idea how to freeze that are in season but that I’ll want later.

  • I buy the glass one’s so I can reheat in over and throw out my microwave. Now I make TV dinners with the left over’s I had to throw out. Save’s tons of food. And my food is not destroyed by microwave. And some days I do not have to cook just pop in oven and make a side salad. These are good for portion control too.

  • Your channel is fantastic anyway, but this video is one of my favorites! With school coming back around and a hectic schedule not everyone sits down to eat at the same time. This saves us from grabbing take out!!

  • Absolutely loved it. I was searching for freezer meal ideas as I have started living alone and left with no time to cook an elaborate meal after work. Please do share some more ideas.

  • We tried the stuffed pepper casserole tonight and my husband loved it!! I will freeze half of it for later.  The addition of smoked paprika gave it an extra special touch.  Thanks so much!!

  • I love this. def making cookies to freeze this weekend!!

Can we have more videos like this please!! I love your other meal prep videos but my fridge isn’t very big but I have a stand alone freezer so I have plenty of room!

I want to meal prep by freezing some meals to have on hand during exams but I never know what can be frozen or how best to do it.

I want make a frozen veggie pack like you buy at the supermarket with my own from my garden. I had one attempt freezing the vegetables but it was terrible. I had to turn it in to a soup rather than a stir fry. It was so soggy.

  • I cant have worstershire sauce coz of gluten. Whats a good alternative pls. How do u freeze it for one serving? We have not had luck with freezing stew ect

  • love the recipes, but a question… after taking them out of the freezer, do you wait for them to thaw or put them directly in the oven as is??

  • Hi there!! I just bought some 3 compartment containers and would really, really appreciate more of these meal prep ideas. I like this style of meal prep a lot! It is really straight forward and is honestly exciting to have these meals planned out instead of me having to think of meals on my own lol. It is awesome to just buy these ingredients throw them together and go on with my week. <33

  • Hi Sara these recipes are delicious especially the chilli chicken bake keep creating more freezer meal videos they are great

  • Thanks for the recipes, they all look so yummy! Question: For the cornbread chili you say in the video 400 and in the recipe 350. Which one is it? I also wondered what size dish you use? Thanks!

  • Can we freeze most of the other dinner recipes you’ve done if we let it cool completely? Going to make big batches of cooking on the weekend and have meals ready for the next week at uni.

  • These look delicious! So tempting to put ALL my casserole dishes in the freezer for 4 months…but sometimes I need those dishes to make a quick frittata or pan of brownies or breakfast popover.

Watching this, I was thinking that you could do a video about how to make chicken stock from those rotisserie chicken bones. (In the crockpot. With leftover parsley and other vegetables.) I do that all the time, but I’ll bet your other viewers might appreciate it.
