No set amounts. But kale is something you just ad one torn up leaf. You cook this up in a frying pan for 6 minutes on medium heat and then flip it over for one minute. I myself took 12 units of insulin each day, I no longer need the insulin. I am injection free for 6 months now. Remember we are not all the same, but we get treated as if we were. Don’t take meds that are not required. Take what you need. Some of the side effects of them are not very good. Listen to your body, it will decide what is good for you.

  • Worst advice I have ever seen for a diabetic. Oatmeal not only raises blood sugar but all that bulk is difficult to digest. Diabetics lack balance of PH, good/bad bacteria and maybe more prone to IBS. Cinnamon can irritate the digestive tract, it stimulates sugar cravings. Oz is so off about potatoes because a small amount of red potatoes is fine, with brocolli and a good portion of red meat, poultry or fish. Scrambled eggs with spinach is good for breakfast and chicken and low carb fruit for lunch. Water, tea or coffee with lemon for drinks.

Now for breakfast you take 3 eggs and stir them up in a large bowl, add 1 chopped up avocado, 1 teaspoon of tumeric powder, fresh kale you just tear it up into small pieces, spinach you add also. No set amounts. But kale is something you just ad one torn up leaf. You cook this up in a frying pan for 6 minutes on medium heat and then flip it over for one minute. You can add a spoon of ketchup for flavouring. I watched a roommate who injected a full tube of insulin each day, drop it in half within 1 1/2 months. I myself took 12 units of insulin each day, I no longer need the insulin. I am injection free for 6 months now. Remember we are not all the same, but we get treated as if we were. Don’t take meds that are not required. Take what you need. Some of the side effects of them are not very good. Listen to your body, it will decide what is good for you.

  • That’s good advice I would recommend Intermittent Fasting in feb morning to keep insulin low also if you do eat breakfast have some eggs or some kind of protein not just Oates. Have the Oates with almond milk, Manuka honey and dark chocolate 90% coco.

  • Steel cut oats is a great choice to begin your day. You can add chia seed, almonds, and cinnamon to spicy it up! Not only is it a healthy carb, but it is a slow burning carb that provides you energy throughout the day and speeds up your metabolism!

  • Worst advice I have ever seen for a diabetic. Oatmeal not only raises blood sugar but all that bulk is difficult to digest. Diabetics lack balance of PH, good/bad bacteria and maybe more prone to IBS. Cinnamon can irritate the digestive tract, it stimulates sugar cravings. Oz is so off about potatoes because a small amount of red potatoes is fine, with brocolli and a good portion of red meat, poultry or fish. Scrambled eggs with spinach is good for breakfast and chicken and low carb fruit for lunch. Water, tea or coffee with lemon for drinks.

  • If you’re gonna have cows milk or cream ever, defs just go the full fat. But for alternatives, I recommend unsweetened almond milk. The taste is not quite as wholesome as cows milk but, it’s one you can adjust to and it’s so much healthier for you and they come with b12 fortified options.

  • I was told by 2 different functional Drs. To stop doing oatmeal. I was doing it to lower cholesterol. They told me that oatmeal was really high in Carbs and was raising my blood sugar. Instead, I soak chia seeds, hemp seeds and ground flax overnight in a nut milk. Low carb. Did not raise blood sugar. Oz is not always right.

  • I just got tested and my blood sugar is 286 mg/dl during fasting. I am gonna start to quit sugar. I really love drinking ice tea with sugar and coffee with cream and sugar too. Now I have to avoid them altogether. Wish me luck.

When I was working out and reading the labels I noticed the sugar levels were high on a lot of protein bars I would purchase ( I can’t remember the names at this moment),the one thing I couldn’t give up was energy drinks due to work.   • 25g per day!!! Holy fuck I read nutrition labels but didn’t know what the amount was. Most things have about 22 per serving! Wow no wonder it’s so easy to get addicted. I’m going to be looking at these things more closely now. Soda has had no place in my life for years now but it’s time to cut out any other “protein bars” and stuff with hidden sugar.
