  • I felt deceived with the term healthy. Tasty would be fine, but healthy? Doesn’t match up with the movies “What the Health?” and “Vegan”. Or Doctors like Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. John Mcdougall, Dr. Michael Greger, etc.

Without counting calories I’ve lost weight by just making sure most of my calories come from healthy sources. By learning more about spices and herbs, I rely less fats and salt.

  • Artificial sweeteners are found to still cause spikes in blood sugar and destroy a variety of good bacteria in your gut, not to mention the joint pain and vision problems associated with certain artificial sweeteners. Definitely get off the diet sodas!

Instant Pot is a great appliance, it is a cooking tool, nothing more. makes cooking faster. but the ingredients make all the difference. you put in crap and you look like crap. its not medical science, and you do not need a doctor to tell you that when you eat bad you will feel bad.     I always save up my carrot, onion, celery etc scraps in the freezer to make a broth when I’ve enough

Now I have to add, I cooked 8 full chicken breasts (bone in) in my instant pot for 12 minutes and they were all fully cooked 165 to 175 degree internal temp. They were not browned first. I think 20 minutes would severely over-cook them

  • Your food would taste and look better if you browned it in an actual skillet.

    The instant pot has tall sides(obviously), which traps moisture and leads to the meat steaming as much or more than it browns. Plus it doesn’t get hot enough to do a proper job even if it wasn’t too tall.

  • Artificial sweeteners are found to still cause spikes in blood sugar and destroy a variety of good bacteria in your gut, not to mention the joint pain and vision problems associated with certain artificial sweeteners. Definitely get off the diet sodas!

  • I have an instant pot. It’s the same as boiling whatever you put in there. and it may take only 4 mins to cook something but takes 20mins to warm up.

I’m 5’1 (156cm) and need to lose some weight so I need to eat less than 500 calories per meal if I’m gonna have 3 meals a day + maybe a snack. I actually probably do eat that much already if not more but that’s why I’m overweight. I’d like to see some meals with lower calories, maybe 350-400. It’s so ironic being a fat vegan, no one takes me seriously when I say being vegan is healthier lol

  • Ah I’m really disappointed to see this here for me basing meals around numbers of calories consumed encourages such a damaging relationship with food.
    This is also something which the YouTube Algorithm seizes upon if I watch one calorie-focused video then I will start being recommended weight-loss apps and ‘transformation’ videos and other content which I have tried so hard to delete from my feed.

  • Greatly appreciate this video! Instead of sauteeing in oil, a healthier alternative is using water or broth (or any liquid, really). Oil inhibits the production of nitric oxide in the arteries, causing a slowing down of blood flow. Even small amounts of oil does it. Even olive oil is very damaging to our arteries. And people with heart issues should definitely eliminate all oils (as per experts like Dr Caldwell Esselstyn). I’ve been cooking oil-free for two years now and I don’t even miss it. I sauté onions in water to perfection. The secret is to let the pan heat up until water droplets sprinkled onto it “dance” on the surface. Then add all the onions at once. Stir repeatedly. About 10 min in, they will appear to start sticking to pan, that’s when you add about a tablespoon of water or broth and continue stirring. Continue adding liquid as needed. Healthy method and delicious. Chef AJ has a video on it.

  • Greatly appreciate this video! Instead of sauteeing in oil, a healthier alternative is using water or broth (or any liquid, really). Oil inhibits the production of nitric oxide in the arteries, causing a slowing down of blood flow. Even small amounts of oil does it. Even olive oil is very damaging to our arteries. And people with heart issues should definitely eliminate all oils (as per experts like Dr Caldwell Esselstyn). I’ve been cooking oil-free for two years now and I don’t even miss it. I sauté onions in water to perfection. The secret is to let the pan heat up until water droplets sprinkled onto it “dance” on the surface. Then add all the onions at once. Stir repeatedly. About 10 min in, they will appear to start sticking to pan, that’s when you add about a tablespoon of water or broth and continue stirring. Continue adding liquid as needed. Healthy method and delicious. Chef AJ has a video on it.

  • Man credits Instant Pot for his nearly 40 pound weight gain…. This device has nothing to do with weight gain-loss, it’s what you cook in it and how much you eat. Tonight we’re having lean corned beef brisket, cabbage, potato, carrots etc.. BTW, I swear this is the 2nd most used appliance in our kitchen.

  • They so missed the point with this. Why not share some healthy meal plans for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am impressed and happy this young woman found something that helped her lose weight, but she did this, not the Instant Pot.

  • Your food would taste and look better if you browned it in an actual skillet.

    The instant pot has tall sides(obviously), which traps moisture and leads to the meat steaming as much or more than it browns. Plus it doesn’t get hot enough to do a proper job even if it wasn’t too tall.

  • Great video and recipes especially the stir fry and i need the onion in the stir fry usually a red onion and garlic(i have my own home grown garlic this year). I have onions and garlic in everything I can’t live without those 2 ingredients.

  • I tried the Lemon Chicken recipe and followed it exactly. It was inedible:( There was this awful bitter aftertaste presumably from the lemon? Maybe because we added the entire lemon (white part of lemon rind is bitter)? Anyone else experience this? Feel bad, waste of chicken:(

  • Great marketing opportunity. Roasting, slow cooker or pressure pot will work the same it’s what you choose to put in to cook and put in your body. I see food mainly consisting of whole plants but this report didn’t even bother to mentioned it. Sadden that the focus is on the product not on what type of food was cooked and the great choice she made to eat clean. Either way amazing for her and props for her dedication ❤️

  • network television programs like this are for the brain dead puppets who will believe anything. Instant Pot is a great appliance, it is a cooking tool, nothing more. makes cooking faster. but the ingredients make all the difference. you put in crap and you look like crap. its not medical science, and you do not need a doctor to tell you that when you eat bad you will feel bad. PERIOD. I use my instant pot daily, but it ain’t keeping me trim and healthy unless I use nutritious low fat, low sodium low sugar ingredients. MODERATION.

  • Yeah but cutting out processed food will automatically mean the only allowable food is healthy, whether u use an instant pot or not

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE my instant pot!>>> ur2.pl/1046 It is definitely not a necessity for everyone, but it has certainly made my life easier. I think the 8 quart version we got is maybe a little large for most people’s needs, but I really appreciate the versatility of being able to put a larger quantity into the pot it’s made dishes like stir-fry and rice possible to cook at the same time. If you’re on the fence about what size to get, or if you should get one at all, I would say go for it!

  • I have a question for the first recipe while I was sautéeing it kept automatically switching to off after it was on for a minute? I had to keep putting it back on sauté??

  • You put the tiniest amount of hummus on that wrap. I almost cried. You need at least 5x that amount. Not even joking or exaggerating. Hummus is a main ingredient! Get those beans!
