Once-forbidden foods like bacon and chocolate are now an option again.     Her website claims she has analyzed data for years, yet provides zero citations throughout the entire presentation, or at the end. Interesting.

  • Tahini is for hummus, mash it up with some salt, garlic and lemon juice and as much tahini as you like. I also use tahini sometimes as a salad dressing wirh some lemon juice and olive oil. Its very nutty tasting, slightly smoked tast.

  • If fat loss is the goal, one needs to be in a caloric deficit. If one is in a caloric deficit, fat gain will not occur, regardless of macronutrient composition (Fat, Carbs and Protein). Carbs and fats balance each other off in the body naturally, unfortunately Christine doesn’t mention Protein and consuming large amounts of animal protein leads to many non-desired medical conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure. Plant based protein is much preferable and easier for the body to break it down. Protein also converts to insulin. Christine also blocks critical questions on her Facebook page which should raise alarm bells. Have you tried out her ideas over a long term period?

  • I guess Dr. Oz figures he can still make money if he’s promoting hidden sugars like bread, banana, yogurt etc. can’t make any money off of the keto lifestyle. Doesn’t matter to me if I add healthy fats to toast or any other carbs (it’s a deadly combination) and I will binge like crazy! it’s the carbs which is just sugar that i have to ditch in order to stop my food addiction! This herbal juice will increase the immunity of the human body,, increase the metabolism for avoiding constipation and normalize the body weight and cholesterol and blood sugar and keep the body safe from all sickness, infections and inflammations.

  • Bad grammar: “The highest percentage of transfats ARE contained….” Wrong. The subject of the sentence is “percentage”. Thus, the sentence should read “The highest percentage…. IS contained….” rather than matching the number of the predicate, or the verb, IS, to the nearest noun, “transfats.” A common mistake, but a mistake nonetheless. The number of the verb, or the predicate, should agree with the subject, not with the nearest noun. Surely you can hire an editor or proofreader who knows their grammar?

  • Bullshit! Sugar is just the current fad that the so-called nutrition “experts” attack. If you want to be healthy, it is simple according to my nutritionist: Cut out all wheat, dairy, sugar, animal fat and anything that tastes good. Limit yourself to healthy crap that you have to force yourself to eat. You will be slim and healthy, but you will also be hungry and unhappy. Just the sort of person that no one wants to be around.

  • Raw milk is banned in america because it might contain bacteria known as superbugs. What most people don’t know, is those superbugs are a result of adding antibiotics to cattle feed. Not to keep them free of bacteria, but to fatten them up so higher profits are realized. The bacteria then become resistant to antibiotics hence superbugs.   • One can be thin around the body due to exercise and still have well-developed atherosclerosis. Not that your face shows that at all-the fat face says to me, “Stop eating all the animal products!”. The legs don’t lie: you are constantly doing cardio. Where are your blood tests to show true health? In addition, where are the stamina exercises and results (5k, for instance) to show what your health allows you to be capable of? Also: it will never be ethical to kill others who wanted to live.

    You talk about how eating high carb, low fat diets means eating foods that are replacing the fats with table sugar, HFCs, or other highly processed syrups, as if this were a given.

    As a Vegan, I do read the labels and I do avoid table sugar and HFCs myself: I (and I’m sure many other Vegans) are not drawn to products that advertise to be low-fat. (Or if they are naturally, we read the labels since we’re doing it anyway to ensure there’s no animal products, to make sure we like the rest of the ingredients.). If a product shows some type of syrup as the top half of its ingredients? I don’t buy it. I like foods sweetened with fruit: dates, for instance, apples, bananas, pineapple, 100% fruit jellies, etc., and I like whole foods. I do like coconut nectar (made by aging or evaporating it at low temperatures), and a minimal amount of organic raw blue agave nectar in an occasional treat.

    One doesn’t have to eat table sugar or highly processed foods with a high percentage raw Vegan diet, that is high carb, AND has good saturated fats, like medium chain saturated fatty acids from avocado, coconut, palm oil, etc., which flush out of the body, unlike animal saturated fats, which are long chain and do not.

    I agree fat is good for us: the right kind, though. Our bodies make all the cholesterol we need from plant saturated fats. Dietary cholesterol, however, is completely unnecessary for a long, happy, and thriving life as many long-term vegans are proof of.

  • CHOLESTEROL is NOT a problem.. Blood cholesterol lowers when dietary cholesterol is high. Anything that raises insulin stops weight loss. Low GI, high saturated fat is the only way. Period

  • Salmon Farming is not banned in Washington State. Non-native Atlantic Salmon is banned. Washington state has several of its own native salmon species which are farmed. Its the shellfish in the wild that salmon eat that makes their meat pink.

    I carb all carbs out for a week and ate fat and as much as i wanted and I lost 5.5kg in the first 7 days! I feel amazing as well, razor sharp focus and clear headed and no energy crashes at any point during the day. Amazing!

  • Most of the additives mentioned you refer to being banned in Japan, EU. But almost all are also banned in Australia and New Zealand (both countries share the same food regulation, and hence cover both). BHA, BHT, Potassium Bromide, Olestra are all banned. BVO is not banned but likely to be banned in the future. I think there is a continual theme with food standards in this video though.
    Additives are generally in place to either save costs and add to efficiency. The health value of some of these is questionable, but where most advanced countries deem the risk high enough to warrant prohibiting or high restricting their use, they’re generally considered safe enough to use by the US FDA.
    Ironically despite this allowing the US to make the production of food cheaper and faster, in some countries such as Japan, there is such an abundance of healthy affordable alternatives alongside US fast food outlets, there is rarely a need to purchase something like a Big Mac to save money when for even less, a decent bowl of ramen can be consumed. This and serving sizes allow the comparison of obesity in the two advanced economies to be contrastive.

  • I permanently changed to the Ketogenic diet 4 months ago and have lost 20 lbs of fat and 4 1/2 inches off my belly (have picture proof), no longer need my Rheumatoid Arthritis medication, after 3 twelve hour work days in steel toe boots on concrete floors, my feet are repaired after one night of sleep, and as of lately, sometimes my feet are not even sore after 16 mile shift.  I am never hungry, I am less irritable, more energy, my clarity of thought and even the passage of time seems to have changed much to my benefit.  I don’t have to get up and go to the bathroom every 2 hours at night, I sleep like a rock, wake up refreshed, my teeth are whiter, bumps bruises and cuts heal in days instead of weeks, hemorrhoids are gone.  My first son has seen the results and has also decided  to convert.   I have watched so many hours of lectures from doctors and authors and other Keto adapted people on You Tube, I was convinced before I started this would be a success.  I also wanted to prove to my family it was purely the diet, so I made sure not to increase my activity level on my days off.  I went cold turkey on the carbs, I figured, since they are an unnecessary nutrient, why not.  I was surprised how addicted to carbs I really was… the first day or two my mind was in a fog, like I was in a dream state.  I almost caved in by the second day, but I was determined.  Then the next few days was weird too, it was like I had a flu or cold, but only the symptom of having to blow my nose constantly, no cough, congestion or  sore throat.  I found out this was my body purging out toxins.  After that initial hurdle life has been getting better by the day, I am still holding off on the exercise, although I have more energy that I know what to do with.  I want to see how much I can actually lose first on the diet alone, and so far it has been going at a steady rate of 1.4 lbs per week and have went 3 holes down on my belt, going to need new pants soon.  So be patient, it might take time to Keot adapt, but it has been well worth it, and I would never go back.

  • This title is misleading. These are not foods you can’t buy in other countries…you are talking about the additives (chemicals) that some of these foods contain. Foods are processed differently in the US because they have different regulations. In Germany we have pasta in a box (only two ingredients: durum wheat and water), potato chips (potatoes, sunflower oil and salt), granola bars, bread, etc. The Germans love their bread, and they are very strict of what can go in the bread. I worked for the food industry in the USA and I can tell you, they don’t care much about consumer health.

  • Good effort, but the presentation of the science here is poor.
    For example, the brain insulin receptor, GLUT 1 is not regulated by insulin. Not only that, she completely skipped over glycogen when explaining excess glucose storage. Glucose generally does not get converted into fat when glycogen stores are not full. You know what does go to fat with little effort when you consume too much? Fat.

  • Nothing about oxalates? Plants are poisonous, lectins, oxalates, anti nutrients, groitagens, etc etc! Carnivore is the cure for plants and sugar poisoning!

  • Guys, stay away from sugar for one month, don’t eat till 6 in the evening, then eat a high quality banana. It tastes like a fucking miracle. 15 times better than any sweets I can can imagine!   • Why is it that when a person tries to open our eyes to how we are being duped by the food industry, they get a lot of thumbs down?   • This is kinda saying that staying healthy is an expensive process. For a middle-class family in countries like India, where I am from, this is a diet that will dip through your pocket and drill into your heart when you see the grocery bill. Leafy greens? An iceberg lettuce costs about 100rs, avocados cost over 80rs each, almond nuts are over 400rs a packet(what? We need to eat 1 almond every day or something?)…cost of blueberries can give you a heart attack in itself. Whereas it costs only 20 to 30rs(at most) to have two toasts and one poached egg. Oats and seeds are great alternatives but a morning meal with a handful of oats, berries, seeds and yoghurt will cost like 60rs in total. Now, please make these lists thinking the price crunch. It’s just like people saying extra virgin olive oil is better…well, obviously! With 120rs price for 100ml of oil, what else can people eat with whatever left of their monthly income spared for food?

  • The FDA does not permit fast (acute) poisoning, but does permit slow (chronic) poisoning, such as from fructose. So corrupt & stupid.

    The F.D.A. has become a colossal failure.
    Big Foods ‘for greedy profit’ has killed more people with processed and counterfeit food than both world wars and all worldwide terrorist attacks combined. Just Google ‘the Swiss milk study’ or the ‘Harvard milk study’, you will find that drinking more than three cups of PASTEURIZED milk daily has the same mortality rate as smoking three packs of cigarettes. Food is sterilized to prolong shelf life. This sterilization process neutralizes or destroys nutrition. t You do not even want to know (but you should) what those nuggets are really made from. They no longer qualify as actual food. Everyone except an uneducated, dolt or ignorant person knows what fried or fast foods do. Drive-throughs are responsible for more deaths than drive by’s. If terrorists wish to maim kill and hurt Americans all they need do is open a fast-food restaurant. The F.D.A. may have started out as a competent research establishment but is now an obsolete deep state throwback to the cold-war era and should redirect their priorities away from politics and promoting the marijuana war and before they allow big foods to kill everyone off.  I also suggest banning enriched flour.

    And try to get some omega 3’s in your diet from sources like Wild salmon, mackerel and sardines, as well as flax seeds and walnuts.

  • You should not try to eat less, you should try to eat more. If you eat lots of veggies, then you can eat all you want. For example one large head of cabbage is 307 calories; one large head of cauliflower 210 calories. It will take days to eat one large head of cabbage or a large head of cauliflower. Therefore, you can fill up your plate with this steamed veggie with onions, garlic, tomatoes, olive oil etc and a small portion of meat. Get the picture? You don’t have to count calories or starve yourself, you need the nutrition in veggies and fruits.

Also based on WHO records, the top 3 countries with the higest life expectancy Monaco (89 years), japan and singapore (85 years) have predominantly plant based diet. Their meat consumption per capita is only 70% or less compared to USA meat consumption of 120kg per person per year.

    Ancient china Imperial records also suggest superiority of predominantly plant based diet. Out of 250 Emperors, who feasted on meat, only 4% lived to beyond 70. Whereas out of 400 abbots of Imperial temples, who were vegetarian, 70% lived to beyond 70 years, a great achievement in ancient times.

    Which high meat consumption community/country can match above records? We should not confuse high refined carb which is causing obesity/chronic illness with whole plant food eaten by mankind over the centuries.

    a) our cisors and canine teeth for meat eating is only 12% of our tooth structure.
    b) the acidity of our digestive juice is only a fraction that of a carnivore.

    e) kidney patients are advised to keep a low animal protein diet to avoid further stress to their kidneys.
    f) scientists studying microbiome reported that best microbiome is found in diet containing fruits and vegetables.
    g) research on anti aging suggest that high protein diet activate mtor pathway which accelerate aging.
    h) the way animals are reared and meat cooked introduce too much carcinogens.

    I am not advocating a vegetarian diet but just cautioning that a high protein/high fat diet long term may be going to the other extreme which does not promote longevity. Cheers.

  • Fibres don’t go very well with people who have SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth), they already have lots of good bacteria overgrowth in the wrong place(small intestine) good bacterias produce more and more fermentation out of these fibres and makes matters worse such as more bloating more cramping and stuff. So the wiser thing would b to not consume too much fibre or slowly introduce the vegetable u r not comfortable in your diet and increase the consumption day by day until u r absolutely comfortable with it.

    They don’t have uniform pale face, they have patches of paleness in their face, especially the area across the eyebrows, around eyes and nose bridge and side of nose down to mouth.

  • iam a 44 year old Indian male living in south pacific, my father mother and elder sister are all diabetics, the nurse and the doctor at the clinic had been telling me that diabetes is genetic disease and were putting me in an impression that nothing can be done and iam screwed because fo the genes where i come from, i was recently diagnosed 2 months ago with prediabetes and my levels were 42 mmol/mole, then i immediately went on to plant based diet along with fruits for 3 weeks then i was feeling very weak with not much energy, then i switched on to LCHF diet and with in 1 month of the LCHF diet and sugar levle have comedown to 38 mmol/mole, i also did quite a bit of walking aswell sometimes i walked up to 22 kms, i do not have any cravings/hungry all the time like any other diabetic, because i know i was on high good fat diet that was keeping me away from all the hunger and cravings, now i don’t have that weakness or numbness in my legs and hads when iam hungry or whatever i have lots of energy sometimes feel weak but not many times, iam able to sleep 8 to 10 hours of uninterrupted sleeps,earlier on use to wake up just after 4 hours, i lost 5 kgs in 2 months, i was 77 kgs and now 72 kgs, why iam telling u this is this diet works and does wonders. now my doctor was like ” what did you do and how did you do” end of the day friends we are our own doctors, a doctor will just take his fees and do sweet talking thats all, now my bp is also 123/82, used to be 138/95.. its been only 1 month ive been on LCHF, i was very skeptic about this diet like ” how could lots of fat can make me better or over come lots of ailments” but i was wrong and this diet works iam a classic example of this great diet AMEN.

    I haven’t been A fan of seed oils. But I love butter, but not that much butter. Butter also goes best on starchy foods. Low fat dairy is a joke.

    Bacon goes bad in the fridge, as well as sometimes the eggs. Chicken needs to be skinless, unless fried chicken, as I don’t like the skin. I mostly cut off the non tasty fat on meat and prefer grass fed. Steak is a good place to add bacon, however. Hell, I don’t always eat meat either.

    I have kept off at least 40 pounds after cutting down on pasta, and keeping more leftovers. I can vaguely comprehend a diet, without gluten grains (don’t know where I would be putting much butter), but not without white rice.

    I have no problem if others like other foods than I, but don’t tell me to eat gross foods, because you like them. Being constantly stressed with having to eat a horrid diet, is not healthy.

    To add to that most cruciferous vegetables are disgusting due to my having a gene that makes them taste disgusting. TAS2R38. They are only around a couple of thousand years old, as well.

    Enjoy your food, but I can’t eat that crap. My body knows when it’s had to much fat and usually when it’s had too much glucose (fructose is a deciever).

  • Since May 2014 I have stopped eating processed low fat food along with the carbs that go with them. I am now on a high fat low carb diet, my weight has dropped from 92kg (obese) to 69kg BMI 24 normal.I eat plenty of good fats eggs bacon steak cheese full fat yoghurt.I have dropped 4 trouser sizes.I feel better sleep better more energy and have not taken a minute more exercise than before.Sugar and carbs are killers anybody that thinks different have been brainwashed.Give up the pasta and grains people and eat real food.

Can you tell me why I feel full all the time, bloated and gassy always burping and passing gas as well. I also feel like I am choking and gasping for air. I eat good healthy food etc. The problem is I cannot digest it properly. I also take vitamins. A, B, C, D, E and K2. As well as Co Q 10 and an Omega 3, Betaine and digestion pill with bile salts. I also had Hpylori a few years ago. Could I get it again? I have bad sciatic nerve pain. I do all the excercises suggested for this but ends up with lower back and leg pains through out the day. I also don’t have a gall bladder and had a complete hysterectomy. I am so afraid to go see a regular doctor or to the ER because of Covid 19 because with my difficult breathing problem which I know is from digestion, they would say I got it.     When you travel, what nutritionals, food items do you take with you? Minimally? If you are going to be gone a month? I’m currently traveling with cacao, spice blend of cardamom cinnamon, turmeric, black pepper, ginger for health benefits. Greens powder in case I can’t get clean vegetables where I go.

  • Norwegian farmed salmon doesn’t contain chemical colouring.. they’re fed crustaceans for the colour….. (Danish red dyed foods, with nitrites.. as is rife elsewhere, is not allowed here) Along with a bunch of food colouring, so don’t expect brightly flashy sweets here… Fruit colours only
    However that doesn’t mean the industry doesn’t have some questionable ecological impacts, or other problems.
    PS.. Titanium dioxide is going on the list.. soon hopefully… If you quickly check what makes your toothpaste white, then check where else it’s used, like……….     People claim that carbs are bad because they increase insulin levels, that’s true, however, eating meat (usually on the high fat diet) as a replacement is illogical because it gives a higher spike in insulin.
    2) Does she give references that show saturated fat is protective? Hmmm, I don’t see any.
    3) She also claims that the ‘authorities’ say “eat low fat but high in sugar” Who the hell says this, no government authority promotes sugar.
    4) Makes the correct claim that we need cholesterol to operate properly, doesn’t tell anyone that our bodies make all he cholesterol you need, in optimal ratios.
    5) Says cholesterol lowering drugs increase heart disease risk, seems a little illogical. It seems like she uses this argument as ‘Hey, lowering cholesterol is bad because, look at what the drugs do’ whereas it’s the side effects of the drugs, not the fact that it gives lower cholesterol.
    6) ‘We need saturated fat for healthy membranes’ that’s also correct, but…our body makes its own saturated fat. (to my knowledge)
    7) low cholesterol = premature death. I would need a study for this, but I would assume this is correct if they are very low, high cholesterol doesn’t have an opposite effect.
    8) Uses myth that Inuit populations are healthy. It was actually a misconception, this myth arrived when we first discovered Inuit communities. Studies now clearly indicate the opposite.

  • I eat a combo of these ‘healthy’ things every few days. Otherwise I’m fasting. And when fasting is over. Fried chicken, potatoe chips and trifle puddings. Healthy is not for life. We all die, why prolong a boring tasteless life? Spinach tastes good. But ‘unhealthy’ foods taste better. Mix & match. Don’t eat healthy for the sake of it.

  • Fat & Carb don’t mix well together. You have to eat separately. If you eat them together, your belly will be fatter. Animal fat is more better than plant fat. The ratio of conversion from plant fat to active form of fat vitamins is too low

  • I always find this information interesting. The scientific data has never changed, most scientific studies show that cholesterol and saturated fat is good for your health. The corporation backed research companies have been throwing out the studies and continually setting up studies to get the answers they wanted. I can not remember where i heard this but one “non-biased” research companies slogan was… “We get you the results you are looking for”. The results should follow the science not what a company is looking for.

  • This amazingeveryone I know does the exact opposite of the “Fat Revolution”! This totally contradicts everything kids and teens like me have learned; but I completely believe it. It’s amazing to wrap your mind around that 44 year old women and the 51 year old womenit seems like a magic! But what is totally unbelievable is it’s REAL. And if you think about it it does make sense. It’s crazy and it might (if we try to convince the world) save the world!

  • A great source of insoluble fibre are raw organic hemp seeds. I pop some into a coffee grinder for 10 seconds and add to my freshly made fruit and vegetable juices. Blessings to all, have a great weekend. Gareth

  • I eat very unhealthy but not much fast Food. I eat allot of fat and I´m still skinny. Most of the time you are just unlucky when you are fat or heavy.

  • I’ve heard bottled salad dressings are really bad. Lots of bad sugars and oils are in those products. I wished the US would ban unhealthy products or at least have companies put the health concerns on the package so we can make healthy informed decisions.

  • Yeah, bacon, eggs and cheese are good for you. You can tell because the more meat and dairy people eat, the fitter and healthier they get.
    The obesity epidemic we are experiencing in western countries is caused by the steady increase in fruit and grain consumption since WWII. Especially vegans are known to be typically obese because they eat too little saturated fat.

    For instance, a diet high in saturated fat got me down from 85kg to 107kg while on a 90% carbs diet I went up from 103kg to 73kg in just a few months. High carb forced me to run ultramarathons to get rid of all the unwanted surplus energy.
    I quite enjoy being tired after a high fat meal. Gave me a good excuse to have some schnapps, too. Quite missed all that on high carb. Lesson learnt in the future I better stick to bacon and stay away from those bananas!

  • Avoid konjac due it’s choking hazard and raw milk due to the real possibility of dangerous levels of harmful bacteria. The ban on Kindereggs is probably also prudent all three have clearly killed people, mostly children. Nothing else in this video is any problem in moderation.

  • I used to follow a low fat/complex carbs diet and all it did for me was make me sick and fat! Now I feel so much better and healthier since changing my eating habits to include good amounts of saturated fats! Butter, coconut oil, bacon, meats, chicken with the skin, fatty fish, eggs all kinds of good veggies and berries with homemade sour cream (Yum!) are part of my regular foods. I eat no factory foods at all. No new newfangled vegetable oils and no sugar! My cholesterol is 148 down from 181!

  • A good way to explain sugar irritating arteries to trap Plaque is the old Sewer & Waste Water Pipes used to be Cast Iron which is course & rough on the inside,… That’s why Plumbers tell you to NOT flush Wipes if you have an old home with Cast iron pipes,… They will stick on the course surface & clog,… Newer pipes are smooth PVC!

  • Personally I find calories in, calories out to work precisely. But, I also cook all my meals at home and only really have sugar if I’m having coffee, fruit, or dairy and it already had some in it.

  • and yet we have those kids that keep guzzling Monsters, Dr Peppers or those (marketed as healthy and valuable) juices containing 12g/100ml sugar by weight in volume. Standard 0,33l can of this is 40g of sugar, that’s like 8 tea spoons.

    I like soft drinks, everybody does. But i resort to 0 calorie ones, sweetened by aspartame or other sweeteners. It’s sometimes difficult to buy them. In LIDL there’s a whole bunch of sugar-rich soft drinks but barely any “zero” drinks.
