Looks fantastic. I see so many possibilities for this recipe. I probably would have cut the chicken up before putting in crockpot then eaten this like a rich soup. I can see also adding cooked rice to the soup. Now, you have me wanting this as a soup. Think I’ll run to the store. I live off grid thus no electricity, so I’ll put it in cast iron on low in my gas grill
How much of the better than bouillon do you add to water to make the 6 cups of broth in the second soup (the one kind of like Olive Garden)? Love your videos ❤️
Your my 1st youtuber i started watching way back!!! Lol!!! Im still subscribed!!! You are 1 of the VERY few… That hasnt changed!!! Still so sweet & humble!!! TFS
What is with all the plastic? Crock pot liners? Individually wrapped chicken breasts? Is it really that hard to wash your crock pot? And can’t you at least put 2 chicken breast per bag. You could also just freeze your chicken breasts on a cookie sheet then put a bunch in one large bag and they don’t stick together.
Thankyou for sharing. O started following you a few months ago and I have tried several of your crockpot recipes even last night and they have all been a hit. I made them for a larger family so added or omitted things but overall all good. I tagged you on some in Instagram. Had to give credit where credit is due. Look forward to trying some of these. Especially the mac and cheese.
I have penne and rigatoni I don’t have any ziti. Can I substitute one of those for the ziti? Articles mean nothing unless they are double blind peer reviewed studies for major medical centers and institutions and contain real science not pseudoscience that some person out their writes. Dr. Elizabeth MD Ph.D Ph.D
For the chicken marinara subs, one can use bull’s eye bbq sauce instead. My little guy loved it!!! I cooked the chicken in an instant pot for like 25 min. with water of course!!! Happy Cooking!!!
doesn’t look like that lentil soup mix was rinsed… I never used to rinse mine, until one day I did and OMG the horrible gunk that comes off it!!! Rinse. repeat
These look delicious! A small tip though, I recommend softening the cream cheese via microwave for 35 seconds ( time depending on your microwave ) and then whisking it. it comes out super soft like whipped cream for easy use and stays that way if your gonna allow it to sit while everything is cooking.
I wonder how much condensed soup actually gets eaten as soup (put in pan, add equal amount of water and heat through) compared to how much gets used as a cooking ingredient. in my flat, I can confidently tell you it’s zero.
Thanks for writing the recipes since it’s much easier to us to write it down. Can you add them in a PDF so we can print and make our own cook books? Never seen anyone do it. Thanks again
I just discovered your channel and love love love it. I bought a new Sunbeam slow cooker recently when my old crockpot had to be replaced. But, my Crockpot recipe book didn’t inspire me. Your recipes are so easy and look so good. I will be following you this Winter here in Australia. Please more slow cooker recipes! Thanks.
Thank you so much for collabing with me! I love your videos! Yesss avoid the drive thru! I need to learn how to make chic fil a fries in the crockpot though
You should not cook beans in a slow cooker. They should be soaked over night. Then should be cooked in a pressure cooker. https://nutritionfacts.org/video/how-to-avoid-lectin-poisoning/
This may be a silly question, but if I make the French Onion Chicken and use four breasts do I also double the soup mix? Thank you for sharing everything looks yummy!
Don’t y’all hate when u come home thinking your food been cooking all day then u walk in the door u don’t smell nothing because u forgot to plug in the crockpot.
I tend to shy away from meals which have a high dairy content because my habit is to frezze and I have never been sure about how they will freze but I have a small Slow Cooker so I will do a mini version of this I think. It looks to be a good filling for a Pie as well, thickened up a bit. Not sure how I would do that though.
What is your baby wrap called? I am going to have my second grandchild and I’m a young grandma. I would like to get my daughter one of those wraps but hell if I know what the name is to even Google them!:-)
Just want to say, I love crock pot cooking, my favorite thing. I love coming back from wherever and walking into the house and having that smell of cooking food, lovely. Also want to say, I’ve tried other crock-pot youtuber recipes and yours is the only one where every meal tastes fantastic. Thank you!
Hmm, that looks so good. I’ve spent a few hours watching your videos on my smart TV. Lovely stuff. If you ever get tired of your husband (lucky chap) I’ll be first in line.):
Thanks for the Video! I’m allowed to use a crockpot in my Truck while I’m OTR my APU can hold a Microwave 750 watts, TV, and a blender where I can make my smoothies.
WOT? No Celery, Parsnip, Green Beans like the thumbnail? I have an almost religious aversion to any recipe that calls for just one carrot!, which is only slightly better than half an onion!! It seems so mean & stingy. But I do love soup, you can stand a spoon up in mine & it won’t fall over. P.s. Does the soup have to boil in order to cook the barley properly or does the long time get to the centre of the grain? My Soup Mix has to boil for 10 minutes or the Split Green Peas & Barley never go soft they’re like mingy little bullets hiding behind the lovely lushness of the red & yellow lentils & yellow split peas to ruin your enjoyment!! But, I’ve never made soup in my slow-cooker. I’m going to try it this weekend. Thank you.
I watched this video a few days ago and I finished buying the ingredients to make it today. Why does it always take a trip to 3 different grocery stores? Lol. I think it’s a Midwest thing where no single store can have all the ingredients for a simple recipe. It’s going in the slow cooker when I get up in the morning. Thank you for showing us this fantastic recipe.
Funny thing, I paused the video to look up “double cream” as soon as you said it. One of the first search results was a discussion about a person from the UK, who was visiting the U.S., trying to find a heavy cream that wasn’t super-heat-treated because (comparatively) it makes the heavy cream not taste so good. A suggestion they had (and for your U.S. subs) is to try Trader Joe’s. Also, they suggested to find a local/region dairy and see if they sell to the public. As for me, I’ll try Trader Joe’s first, and then try a local dairy. (I’m not a normal daytime person, plus I’m a “damn Yankee” so even though I come from “Dairy Country” in the North, they might not give me the time of day.)
I usually put the noodles in the bowl and then add the broth mix. Otherwise, when you go to store it, the noodles soak up all the liquid and become mushy!
I’m not even a fan of mushrooms and this looks so good!! Your videos have always looked good:) but it does seem like the focus adjust on the new phone is much better! ❤️
Thanks for the video. How many servings are your meals typically? Is that a regular size crockpot? Its only my wife and I at the moment and I am wondering if I should half your recipes.
and if you don’t want it vegan add diced pork then you got pea and ham soup. I would use trotters and remove the bones before serving, but thats a vegan meal I would even eat!!!!!
Here from IG. I do not have a crockpot but I do like watching these videos to get food ideas. I may invest in one in the future. Everything looked good and seemed simple enough. Thanks for sharing and new friend here.
Gotta try the mac and cheese…maybe throw in some ground beef or sliced up hot dogs!! I am so glad we got a couple little glimpses especially at the end of your precious little princess so sweet! I am loving your hair!!
This looks amazing!!! I’m going to get some lentils and put some of this soup on before I go to bed so tomorrows lunch will be devine!!!! I’m in love with you! hahah.
Thank you for the recipes. I’m gonna try to make some of them with little changes to match my taste but they look delicious and I subscribed since it looks so creative and easy. I love how u don’t have to use too many ingredients but don’t ignore taste. It’s simple but not basic if you know what I mean. Anyways, keep going! I’m especially interested in trying the chicken marsala sub. Yummy.
Just had a thought. Can one “blitz” the soup with a “slender-blender” to make it a “Creme o’ Vegetable Soup”? Love your channel. Keep up the good work.
Your breakfast casserole reminds me of a thing my parents used to make for me when i was younger. It sounds…so weird, but, they were Bisquick pancakes with ham and cheese in the mix. It was actually so good. I am nostalgic now ❤️
Hi there, started watching your channel a few weeks ago, while searching out crockpot recipes. Made the crock pot Zitifamily loved it! I am a RN and I have worked overnights for 6 years. Unfortunately our eating habits have included, a lot of take-out over the years. I made a resolution to cook more at home this year. Love being able to start a meal when I get home from work and have it ready for the fam, for dinner that evening, cooking it, while I sleep. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
Yum, that looks amazing, I love using my crock pot especially on Sunday. I love having a meal ready for when my family and I get home from church. Plus soups are just amazing anyways.
My Mum used to make some lovely stews in her slow cooker.
Once, she accidentally left the recipe book inside the slow cooker. We smelt something burning, looked inside the slow cooker & found the recipe book. It was rather brown.
Just curious, do you put the food into individual portions in case someone wants something different one day?
New super excited subscriber. I am working all of these into my weekly meal plan! I loved when you said, “I don’t even eat mushrooms, but this was good!” I was seriously thinking I would try all of these except the Marsala, but you have talked me into it!
Made this for dinner tonight, and it’s definitely one for the recipe box. forgot it was a slow cooker, so i had to make on stove top and it still turned out great. Followed exactly what she did except cooked mushrooms separately in butter then deglazed pan w white wine just bc I had some open. Add to chicken, et voilà perfection in a pot! Btw I’m certain this is delicious as originally written, but I think it’s only right if I recommend something I share exactly what I did differently, which was born out of the fact that I started too late for the slow cooker and had to improvise. Oh and I had no cream so I used whole milk just bc that’s all I had.
Omg where did you get that tool you were stirring the ground beef? The square, block tool? And that wisk tool you used to stir the stroganoff once you added the cream cheese?!
You’re awesome btw keep up the great work awesome aussie I love this reminds me people like Gordon Ramsay can fuck right off with their ill-mannered shit.
This is definitely going on the “to do” list. Getting to my favorite times of the year (colder months) and I know this will be a hit. I have just been revisiting your SOUPS and SLOW COOKER playlists, soooo many amazing recipes and got reminded of several I wanted to do, specifically the Broccoli and Stilton…. that’s gonna be so tasty. Thanks again for sharing your cooking talents and your delightful personality. Have yourself an AWESOME WEEK! LK PS my LUCKY says MEOW to your JASPER
I just found your channel last week and I really enjoy it. I saw an old video where you said you homeschooled. Do you no longer? Also I would love to see some more organization videos. I homeschool and have 4 kids and I’m always struggling with organization.
Great recipes but I hope you don’t mind me saying but any chef I’ve ever seen will tell you to never use cooking wines they say they have a lot of sodium and not much wine, im sure your recipe is good but would probably be phenomenal with real marsala, it being a fortified wine and excellent in recipes, I love your videos keep up the good work!
Hey there Handsome, I make slow cooker soup to, it’s so nice to throw a few good veggies in to a crock pot let it cook all day and when your ready it’s ready too. I love to use something like a chuck roast for this, but my favorite thing to do is use V-8 cocktail juice instead of beef stock. Stewed tomatoes and it makes lovely broth and taste amazing. I wish you’d try this. I know you’d love it as much as I do. I love your show.. keep sending the USA your lovely recipes. Please. Thank you for your time. I enjoy watching you do your thing, cooking.!
I don’t like using milk/cream in my slow cooker, so I changed up my ingredients and used one can of mushroom soup, one can of cheddar cheese soup, and 1 cup of chicken broth, and then the cream cheese, garlic, s&p and chicken breasts. And I used Crimini mushrooms instead of button with twice as much garlic. It turned out SO delicious! I might try it with pork medallions next time. Thanks for the wonderful idea! It will definitely be on the menu regularly!
Thank you One Pot Chef! It’s mins to 3 and I’m going to make this now.. don’t have a crock pot so I’ll be doing it the old-fashioned way… I had no idea you can use barley in soup..lol I will try
This is so ridiculously meat heavy. Why not add some chopped carrots and leeks to the slow cooker in the chicken sub recipe, and bulk it out with fresh lettuce in the sandwich? I would also tuck in some cherry tomatoes as those are cheap as chips here in NZ.
Last video I saw was the ribs and realized after watching this I’ve missed several recipes my alerts are now turned on. P.S. the baby backs turned out great!!!
>>> ur2.pl/1064 I love this crock-pot more than I can say. I just wish I actually liked cooking to any degree. But I digress… I had considered the insta pots, but the price tag was much more than I felt was warranted given the fact that I’m not all that interested in spending more time planning and cooking meals. So this seemed like the best option for me. And I’m very happy with my purchase. Especially in the cooler weather, it’s nice to be able to drop something in the crock-pot before leaving for work and know dinner will be ready, but not grossly over cooked, when I return home. My old crock-pot was perfectly functional, but I was lured by the keep-warm feature of this one.
You had me at cream cheese. This recipe would also work in a Dutch oven in the stovetop. I have no oven so I definitely look for recipes I can convert. My daughter has a crockpot and showed me the Fiesta chicken recipe.
I recently discovered split peas. I got a bag and the macros blew me away! I like buff dudes fitness vids and I saw they have this video. Gonna give this recipe a try. Thanks
Next time have your microphone on a little higher….I so wanted to hear your demonstration….and at the end, please show us your plated results. I am wondering, do your find that your smaller frozen veggies take less time to cook than your larger cut veggies? I would also add some beans for fiber and protein. This is a detox vegetable soup so it is not designed for meat. However, if I were serving “meat lovers”, this would be a great base for a beef and vegetable stew. Joyce from Sunny Florida
Lovely dish, I don’t mind the calories for this one! I will definitely try it for next week. I’m glad we can find all the ingredients easily. Thank you
Ok i know I already commented but had to let you know I made the chicken masala last night and my hubby LOVED it. I mean he is a foodie guru and he loved this. I added Shitake mushrooms because he loves those and your recipe was amazing. Making the ziti, mac n cheese and strogonoff this week, too. Am recovering from a long stay in hospital so needed these easy to prepare recipes. It helps me to be able to improve my strength while standing and cooking without getting exhausted. My physical therapist likes this for me, too. So thank you so much Kelly. You are making a difference with all that you do. Love ya! ♥♥♥
Hello we would love to see you post your great slow cook recipes in our facebook group search FB for “Slow Cooker Recipe Crockpot Group”… We have over 22k members… If you do live cooking streams even better!!…. Thanks… Remember itll boost your youtube subscribers too BTW you could be the Thor of our group man
This definitely is true, and the tip is to buy meat on sale, My family and I found some really low fat hamburger on sale, it was at our local Aldi, and it was going to expire if it was not frozen or eaten within 48-72 hours, so our Aldi cut the price in half for all those containers of beef, there were SIX of them at about 2.4-2.6lbs per container. So we purchased them, and brought it home, wrapped and froze it. We go to a local market that sells chicken on sale, at 10lb. quantities or more, so we typically buy our chicken like that. The investment of a chest freezer that we also got on sale for about $120, was definitely worth the amount of foods we can purchase on sale and freeze it. We also bought Magnum ice cream pints, and they were 90% off, That was RIDICULOUS!!! We got it for 99 cents per pint, usually thats $4-$5 per pint where I live!!! So I was super happy about that sale as well! So defintely those are some tips to someone looking to save some cash in the long run. If you keep the freezer packed it doesn’t take much energy to run the freezer either.
I made this last week and it’s fantastic! I am going to make some more this week. My slow cooker is too small. I had to freeze 1/2 the ingredients uncooked, so it’s ready to just dump in the Crock Pot tomorrow.
I was looking for a new easy soup to make. We’ve been having some cooler weather and this seems like it would be filling and warming. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thanks Kelly. All the recipes look real good. I watch you both as much as I can. I am always running behind on my videos. But learn a lot. That’s for the ideas!❤
I have to say your waffle breakfast sandwiches it’s so good me and my husband and kids used turkey lunch meat on our and we dip it in honey mustard sauce we had that for two nights in a row for dinner thank you for sharing that recipe
I hope you rinsed the lentils, etc, before adding to the pot. I would add a handful of frozen peas, a stick of celery, and I never peel my potatoes. All a matter of taste, of course, and no criticism intended. Your videos are just great.
Here’s a tip! Cube your chicken against the grain before cooking in a soup it will be ten times more tender than whole chicken breast cooked in soup then shredded!
Well I didn’t take pics but I I’ve tried & enjoyed your crockpot: chicken & dumplings, BBQ chicken, teryaki chicken (made it twice in one month & used homemade yum yum sauce), pizza bake, Italian brown sugar chicken, brown sugar mustard chicken, ravioli lasange, ravioli with meat sauce, potato soup, (Cheesy chicken, broccoli & potatoes (more cheese would be better) and used your prepping tip for cheese sticks. Thanks for all the helful info you share.
That first one looked disgusting with that nasty gloppy cheese. I hardly call it cooking when you use sauce from a jar and pasta from a box. LOL this isn’t cooking. Garlic from a jar and mushrooms from a can LOL. I can’t continue watching.
I love that you put John 3:16 in your description box. Not many boldly proclaim Jesus name anymore. May God bless and keep you. Please pray Psalms 91 over your family in these last days, we need to be in the shelter of His wings. Thanks you for the recipes.
Just bought a beautiful new slow cooker, after two years without one…so looking forward to making this…all my favorites, chicken, mushrooms, cream! How can you go wrong! Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day!
Love slow cooker recepies, I made your chicken, pots, carrots and butter & herbs last night and it went down a storm so I will be giving this ago next thanks Cheryl.
I am so so grateful that I found your channel! Thank you! Your recipes are wonderful! My sons will appreciate new flavors! Also some days I can barely move. (I have severe RA) but these are recipes I can handle. Thanks again!
great recipe! here’s another to try.. not sure if you can figure out how to do in slow cooker but that would be great. https://www.cookingwithalia.com/moroccan-lentils/
I love that you use several of Pioneer Woman’s Crock Pots. I have the turquoise blue and yellow flowered one and I love it. Brings some cheer to the kitchen! Great recipes. I really want to try the White Bean Chicken Taco Chili! Looks yummy!
May i ask why you use a CHICKEN stock when you are making a VEGETABLE soup….Would it not be better to use a vegetable stock in a vegetable soup…Surly chicken stock is for a meat based soup like chicken
I made the ham and egg casserole for breakfast today and it was a hit! In case anyone wants to know i assembled the casserole the night before and placed crock pot insert in fridge.( i sauteed ham and onions together) In the morning i cooked 3.5hrs on low.absolutley delicious. Thanks Jennifer for an awesome recipe
Mushrooms! Who the heck would use those? Just anyone in their right mind! Chicken and Mushrooms such a classic combo. Actually Cheryl if we replace the milk and soup with more cream and water and a few more mushrooms perhaps another spoon of cream cheese to make it thick it IS a weight loss dish. You would eat it over cauliflower rice! That would be all it would take to make this a Keto version of this dish it is very close already. Milk and Campbell’s has too many carbs/sugar but are easily replaced! And the veg you had with it is Keto too! You have given me an idea for it. Thanks!
TFS
What about some sort of seasoning during the cooking process? Salt, pepper chilli flakes and the likes. Surely this is going to taste bland
Oh those baby hiccups! So sweet I love how easy your meals are, you are one of the few channels where I actually use the recipe ideas.
Another delicious dish. Do you have liners for the crockpot? They really save time with cleanup…and you don’t need to heat water at the start
Gary must be ecstatic to see this.
I wonder how much condensed soup actually gets eaten as soup (put in pan, add equal amount of water and heat through) compared to how much gets used as a cooking ingredient. in my flat, I can confidently tell you it’s zero.
Im from New York and stumbled upon your video. Subscribing to hear more of your recipes and hear your beautiful voice! Love the accent!
Love your hair Kelly! So cute! These recipes sound so good I think I’m going to make the chicken with the London soup mix and the stroganoff! Yummy!
Thanx Teach., there were two recipes you did that I will be trying for sure, as I have been searching for them, for some time now! Peace and love! xo
Brilliant video thankyou for this im going to make this soup in my slow cooker we all appreciate these hot souos and stews this winter
What is your baby wrap called? I am going to have my second grandchild and I’m a young grandma. I would like to get my daughter one of those wraps but hell if I know what the name is to even Google them!:-)
I wanna make the ziti but I don’t have any crockpot liners:( think it will be ok if I just spray the crockpot good with cooking spray?
I don’t know my potatoes didn’t breakdown but I used red skin potatoes. The beans ended up still firm but everything else was cooked. oh well.
Please help…the one time I put pasta in the crockpot it turned to mush is there anything special that needs to be done? What did I do wrong?
Thank you.
I’m 39 and just started be a stay at home mom and wife and love learning from this channel how to make simple meals my kids live so thank you
I watched this video a few days ago and I finished buying the ingredients to make it today.
Thanks, good recipes… I usually make the Mac ad cheese one in the end for my kids every Friday lol Happy Friday. I put sausage in it!
The best shredding tip is to put the chicken in a bowl and use the mixers/beaters! It shreds in seconds! Has saved my hand from so many cramps lol!
Oh my God, zero seasoning was used. I really wish more minority people came on here and shared recipes. This is getting ridiculous
1 corn 1 onion 1 pound of red potatoes 1 sweet potato 2 carrots 2 celery’s 1 can diced tomatoes parsley 2 garlic cloves salt pepper garlic salt Vegetable broth low 4 hours
That’s wasn’t great to be honest. When you binned the frozen veg in it spoiled it for me but nutritious either way so top marks for that
Looks great! Have you ever watched queens cabinet? That lady can cook up some food. Try to watch her cooking videos she is awesome!
Gotta try the mac and cheese…maybe throw in some ground beef or sliced up hot dogs!! I am so glad we got a couple little glimpses especially at the end of your precious little princess so sweet! I am loving your hair!!
I been following your recipes for years you make everything soo easy. You really deserve more followers than you have! Keep them recipes coming please
Kelly yr Vlogs the crockpot ones have me cooking thanks so very very much for sharing. Because of yr Vlogs I enjoy cooking with Crock pot so much
Your breakfast casserole reminds me of a thing my parents used to make for me when i was younger.
I love these recipes! Thank you
You’re awesome btw keep up the great work awesome aussie I love this reminds me people like Gordon Ramsay can fuck right off with their ill-mannered shit.
Just wanted to say hi, I’m a new subscriber. I’m excited to find your channel, I love this kind of content❤️ I’m going to try each of these recipes!
Kelly search YT for a simple recipe to make your own Onion soup mix it is soooooooo much cheaper, instead of paying 2.50 for less that one ounce
Thank you One Pot Chef! It’s mins to 3 and I’m going to make this now.. don’t have a crock pot so I’ll be doing it the old-fashioned way… I had no idea you can use barley in soup..lol I will try
I chuckled at ‘Maranana’ because I was thinking your recipe would actually be chicken and bananas. Just regular marinara! Whew.
This is so ridiculously meat heavy. Why not add some chopped carrots and leeks to the slow cooker in the chicken sub recipe, and bulk it out with fresh lettuce in the sandwich? I would also tuck in some cherry tomatoes as those are cheap as chips here in NZ.
Great video! Thank you for the new ideas. Do you have the other recipes written out somewhere? I only see the Marsala recipe linked in the comments.
I like the look of the spaghetti, but I’d use bite sized pasta like rotini or cellentani instead. Much easier to eat with a spoon. =)
I would of used cut spaghetti it’s alot smaller, I think by using whole spaghetti only cut in half was more like spaghetti with chicken noodle soup
I recently discovered split peas. I got a bag and the macros blew me away! I like buff dudes fitness vids and I saw they have this video. Gonna give this recipe a try. Thanks
Well to hell with the calories, that looks scrumptious. That’s a definite on the menu planner this week. Thanks Mrs What’s for tea xx
Thank you
I just got a free crock pot, but its a long shallow one, can I still make all these recipes in it. I believe the volume is similar but its shallow.
Thanks… Remember itll boost your youtube subscribers too
BTW you could be the Thor of our group man
This definitely is true, and the tip is to buy meat on sale, My family and I found some really low fat hamburger on sale, it was at our local Aldi, and it was going to expire if it was not frozen or eaten within 48-72 hours, so our Aldi cut the price in half for all those containers of beef, there were SIX of them at about 2.4-2.6lbs per container.
Yum, this might be able to make me a mushroom convert
Was wondering if you have always loved to do home cooking? Would love if you did a Q&A some day
I have to say your waffle breakfast sandwiches it’s so good me and my husband and kids used turkey lunch meat on our and we dip it in honey mustard sauce we had that for two nights in a row for dinner thank you for sharing that recipe
Wow that looks scrumptious, not really a fan of creamy chicken things but I’ll be chapping on your door next time your making this
Well I didn’t take pics but I I’ve tried & enjoyed your crockpot: chicken & dumplings, BBQ chicken, teryaki chicken (made it twice in one month & used homemade yum yum sauce), pizza bake, Italian brown sugar chicken, brown sugar mustard chicken, ravioli lasange, ravioli with meat sauce, potato soup, (Cheesy chicken, broccoli & potatoes (more cheese would be better) and used your prepping tip for cheese sticks.
