  • Like the sound of a lot of those:) you can even get away with sweet n salt popcorn at under 100 calories if you have Metcalfe’s, definitely my favourite half healthy snack at the moment:)

  • When you start advertising certain products for a certain company, I start questioning whether you are also sponsored by someone when you comment on foods in other videos.

  • I appreciate all of these videos and your recommendations but young Timmy is not going to poop himself if you give him those chocolates as a treat every now and then.

  • Thanks for all the HARD WORK to go into the grocecery store and show us THE BAD, THE GOOD & THE UGLY. LOL!

  • Oil pulling, yoga, vitamin C,D, sunbath for 2 hours saves u frm covid as God Jesus saved all sinners by His death n ressurrection on 3rd day. C ‘Ressurrection’ in Google..

  • So basically the only “snacks” that are considered healthy for your children are fruit and vegetable, how majorly exciting for them! All snacks are bad hence they should be used in limitation along with a varied healthy diet

  • ok, I followed everything. but how is a microwaved muffin healthy? it’s honestly healthier to buy a freshly baked muffin from a coffee shop or bakery in my opinion. just sharing my opinion, no hate.

  • I never even knew natural flavors are artificial flavors.. they shouldn’t have allowed naming of ingredients like that to confuse people

  • Those sugar free chocolates are good though but I finally can believe how artificial sweeteners bloat you. Lol omg my stomach hurt so bad after I ate a couple usually I only ate one a day.

  • I’m truly very surprised you are constantly commenting against natural flavors but then recommend items full of sugar and carbs. LaCroix has zero carbs and that’s what I eat. ZERO carbs.

  • This channel really keeps me in check on having a balanced diet and not over/under eating.
I was wondering if you checked out Caitlin Shoemakers videos before? I used to binge watch her videos.

  • I feel like people that eat like this are always sick and the reason is we need pestisites and germs ect to a extend so that our bodies can not grow parasites.. I don’t know if u know a lot of science or u think it’s a hoax but all organic all the time will end up killing u.. we don’t live that long and for the amount of time we are on this planet we can handle all these things in our bodies non of it is a source of any deadly diseases yes it’s good to control things for diabetics and cholesterol which most of the time are genetic diseases but either way we can avoid what we can and over eating as a whole is more of the problem than what we eat but all in all we can’t avoid all foods and alll foods as this point are basically bad but u decide u can either eat what u can or just don’t eat and die up to u.. even air isn’t 100% healthy at this point.. and gmos are in almost everything and their the reason we may be able to stop world starvation so it’s not bad really there isn’t much more of an option so live ur life eat well when u can the rest is useless

  • I make porridge in the microwave. I use either dried or frozen fruit, oat milk for me and toddler soya milk for my daughter and porridge oats. I just stick it in the microwave for a few minutes and it’s done.

Much cheaper alternative to the ready made stuff and not really that much more work.

  • As a parent of 4, including a kiddo with multiple life threatening food allergies, it’s been SO difficult finding allergy safe snacks that are healthy. My kiddo can’t have dairy/nuts/eggs/soy/wheat

  • I gotta download the app, every time I watch these videos I cringe when he mentions the food I literally just got from the store thinking it was healthy or food I have been eating for 847474years, lol I can’t believe he went after my Triscuits..nooooo! RIP Triscuits, I loved the Rye flavored kind

  • Hi I love your videos specially because I have a 16month old, so I’ve been really trying to make healthier choice for us both. Can you please make a video of a grocery haul with foods I could use to cook with for him.

  • I know it’s an older video but boom chicka pop real butter uses expressed oil now! It’s the only one I’ll buy since bags you pop yourself are cheaper

  • Hi Abbey, I know protein is important, but I was wondering: How come you as a Dietitian suggest to eat soooo much protein? I have clients myself and protein deficiencies are not really the case, unless you live in a 3rd world country or starve yourself. It’s more fiber and micronutrients I’m concerned about.

  • Hi! Do you think in the future you could include the fat grams and carbs when listing the nutritionals? I personally watch your channel for ideas for healthy, vegan options as I have chronic pancreatitis and have to stick to a low fat, vegetarian diet. I know with the keto craze the carbs might help people, too.

  • Your videos are very helpful and entertaining! I just subbed. Maybe you can use a smaller camera like a GoPro since you have a lavalier mic?

  • Best Ways To Cut Calories From Snacks
Buy pre-measured snacks, no more than 100 calories.
Choose fruit over a bag of pretzels.
Choose plain yogurt over flavored yogurt.
    Choose flavored seltzer over soda.
Choose celery stalks over dried fruit.

  • Love the video! So many great ideas! I always run low on healthy snacks ideas and since I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, my go to lazy snacks are always crips or something unhealthy. Maybe do another video specifically on healthy savory snacks? Just a thought. Keep on the great work!

  • Hi Abbey, I’ve been watching a lot of your videos lately and I love that you are encouraging people to build a healthy relationship with food, and to focus on intuitive eating rather than being trapped in diet culture. I was surprised by how different this video seemed from a lot of the others…I kept expecting you to reiterate your usual “you don’t need to eliminate gluten unless you are specifically intolerant” point that you often make. Instead, the fact that many of these products are gluten free seemed like another one of their virtues, like their being a good source of protein, and are satiating, etc. I was also surprised at your glowing review of the “Think Thin” oatmeal…that label seems to be exactly the kind of possibly disordered or triggering thing that you make entire videos calling out. It seems like many people would not benefit from starting their day eating from a container that reminds them to “Think Thin”, and even if the product is super tasty, that seemed like a great moment to mention that these snacks are meant to be a part of a positive and mindful eating experience, not to be promoters of diet culture and negative body image. I know that it must be repetitive and exhausting for you to keep making all these points in every video, and apologies for nitpicking when the rest of your channel makes your positions on these issues so clear, but I was struck by how someone might take this content very differently than intended without having seen so many of your other videos.
I do really enjoy your content, and thank you for being such a positive and encouraging presence here on youtube.

  • Im curious, how does heat effect the bacterial probiotics in some of these products? If you have to microwave or add boiling water, wouldn’t that kill the bacteria? Love your videos!

  • I have to start taking painkillers through out the day due to a spine injury, but I also desperately need to loose the guts. But I have to eat when taking the medication or it burns my stomach. Have you got any suggestions?

  • I was at 7/11 recently, and while they’re not the most reliable when it comes to finding a healthy snack, they did have something interesting…PROTEIN GUMMIES! They were made with split pea protein, and one bag had about 10 grams of protein and 27g of fibre! They were 100% vegan, clean ingredients, made in Canada, AND they tasted just like your standard sugar filled fruit gummies, with only 1 gram of sugar. They were on the pricey side, $3.50 CAD for 50g, so I’ve been looking for them at other grocery stores to compare. Haven’t had any luck finding them, but definitely something I can lean towards other than a bag of chips when I get the late night munchies.

  • I also like the simple whole unprocessed snacks though like Brothers Green took a write-in of sliced cucumbers sprinkled with chaat masala SO GOOD

  • I like Trader Joe’s yellow lentil and brown rice pasta a lot. 15g protein and only 190 calories. Super good for a pasta in my opinion.

  • I wish my kids like “healthy food” and snack consciously. I can’t get them to consume healthy snack at all. So frustrating what they are doing to their body

  • veganism is a straight up scam do not promote it at all its put too many people in the hospital
not to mention its a 60 year old ideology and humans LITERALLY cant be healthy without animal fats or protein long term all vegans look like crypt keepers after about 5 years

  • I think its funny how even though you are giving away so much information FREE! They still want to complain that you haven’t mentioned all the micro-nutrients and other information about each item… People, please do your own research! Take everything you learn online and follow up on your own.

Thank you Abbey for making fun and easy guides for us to follow! I love your content and will keep coming back for more tips and your F-bombs 😉

  • You are my biggest fan i voted for in food network star kids from the first round i was scared when you and lexi were about to be eliminated but i never gave and i hate isaiah he is my brother’s fan vye

  • Bobby approved Larabar Chocolate Brownie super clean ingredients but has 10g of sugar/includes 10g added sugars (20% Daily value) thoughs about that??

  • Omgoodness.. I ended up buying the Keto pancakes Birch Benders and I was so disappointed! Disgusting

Thank you for all the info.. I need a Trader Joe’s or a Whole Foods near me!!

  • White refined sugar? regular Vegetable oil? Those are not healthy! Your reading off macronutrients, how many vital nutrients and phytochemicals are in some of these snacks. We are discovering new phytochemicals everyday and freelee and Kristina aswell as Joe cross and John rose (take John with a grain of salt LOL) are getting first hand experience in this field. Before it’s even possible to do large scale study, as time goes on and research gets better you’ll find this lifestyle is hard to criticize.

  • Abby, I’m a new subscriber and I really like your videos. I was wondering what the other macronutrients are, not just protein. How much fat? How many carbs? I’d also love to see (not that you have to do this) some videos on how one can be healthy if they have very little money. I’m a student and have barely enough money to afford more than dry beans and dry rice after my bills and rent are taken from my small paycheck. What do you recommend when someone can’t buy a whole lot at the store?

  • I love Annie’s!! I buy tons of stuff for my son from Annie’s, a lot of great options in this video that I didn’t know about too! TY!

  • I wanted to know your thoughts on hot probiotic foods, I’ve always learned that live cultures die at a certain heat, so how can probiotics stay potent if they’re cooked in the oatmeal?

  • Could you do a video about the epidemic of celiac disease that apparently is sweeping the globe and will probably wipe us all out. I mean, with all this Gluten-Free nonsense that is happening.

  • Ohhhh some of these are great options! My hubby is in Fire Academy right now and needs some good snack options to fuel his grueling days… I’ll have to check some of these out! I’m always on the hunt for good protein packed snacks for him:)

  • Thanks for sharing all of these awesome snacks. Love your videos. And Canadian customs officials can be so strict sometimes, I always pack so much food when I visit Canada and they always question me, especially all of my vegan food.

  • A over weight nutritionist telling people what’s healthy I choose to go to those who actually have the results I want freelee, happyhealthyvegan, durianrider lost so much weight from freelees rawtill4!
