Eggs are a good source of several nutrients tied to brain health, including vitamins B6 and B12, folate and choline (63).

Vitamins B1, B6, B12, B9 (folic acid) and D, choline, iron and iodine exert neuroprotective effects and improve intellectual performance. Taking vitamins B, C, or E, beta-carotene, or magnesium may improve brain function if a person has a deficiency in any of them. If a person does not have a deficiency, these supplements are.

Omega-3 fatty acids play an important role in brain health. They’re especially beneficial when it comes to improving symptoms of depression, cognitive functioning, and overall mood. Add more omega-3s in your diet by eating fatty fish like mackerel, salmon, and herring. It’s also in nuts and seeds like almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, and flax.

But unique to the MIND diet, researchers found that green leafy ones like kale, collards, spinach or lettuce were specifically shown to lower the risk of dementia and cognitive decline. Greens are packed with nutrients linked to better brain health like folate, vitamin E, carotenoids and flavonoids. Many brain supplements focus on omega-3 fatty acids (such as those found in fish oil), vitamin E, various B vitamins, or various combinations.

Why these? There’s strong evidence that certain diets — like the Mediterranean diet, the DASH diet, and the MIND diet — can help improve cognitive function, according to Dr. Marshall.

In addition to overall diet, certain micronutrients (vitamin D, choline, folate, and iron) and fats (omega-3’s) show more consistent evidence suggesting a beneficial role in cognition and mental health throughout the lifespan.

  • L Arginine is a protein, not a chemical   She don’t know what she’s talking about. I’ve studied vitamins and herbs for a dozen years and know what it is

  • I love this video but I just wish you had given some specific examples of what sort of exercises you would do during those 20-30 minutes and also what time of day you would do it at. For instance, does a quick 4km run in the morning work best or does weightlifting in the afternoon better? Maybe give 3-5 examples of exercises that would work best. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the video! I`m taking Organic Alpha GPC Choline because it gives me the best results yet. Amazing information in the video! I also researched to see what substances the brain needs and I am feeling better than ever!

  • This video wasn’t even about “4 Ways to Increase Mental Performance | Cognitive Boost Routine | Life OptimizationThomas DeLauer”! I know all about how to increase endurance activity though!:D

  • Dont eat msg, e621, monosodium glutamate. Could trigger miggraines. Avoid anythinflg that (over) stimulates. Coffee, sugar, tea etc

  • Which natural supplements provide the above nutrients. You forgot to mention that. Whether all these supplements are available across the counter?

  • Hello
My mother has either vascular Alzheimer and/or Alzheimer disease. Which product is most effective?
Choline? CDP choline? Acetylcholine? Phosphatidylcholine? Alpha GPC?
Would you please tell me? I’m really confused.
What other supplements should my mother take to treat Alzheimer disease?

  • 4 ur dad’s migrane..no cold cuts.cut sugar..no aged cheese.no can food.no wine..exercise5xweek..learn to say No….natural deodorant…do not repress crying….check 4 food allergies.no MSG..not only found in some Chinese restaurant exclusively…and most important Pray and and offer that pain.for others less fortunate…

  • I’m calling it now Thomas, you will have over 7 million subscribers within the next 3 years. YOU are going to blow up even bigger than what you have. Another great and informative video, thanks.

  • Is it possible to try all of them? If yes, then how would I know which one really worked for me? I am afraid of supplements because of my kidneys. I know people who have been taking supplements for a long time had developed kidney stones. Is it possible to alternate them? Which brand of all these supplements can you recommend to us? Thank you.

  • What about deep breathing? Can you do a video on how that affects the brain. I think most people breathe shallowly, and I can’t imagine it’s good for us.

  • I started watching 2 videos of you today.. And it helped me already 5%. By the time i finish watching all your video i would be 100% better again. I will keep you updated. Thank you for this good motivation!

  • Hey bro,I have all them foods every day..
My depression & intrusive thinking has almost dissolved since my “strick” brain food diet:-) Also spinach, cottage cheese, roasted see weed, blueberries, bananas & ohh boy my mood has lifted!, stay awesome bro:-)

  • Depression to Expression
maybe your da should try magic mushrooms you might think im mad but i watched a documentary about a man that suffered from cluster headaches he would be in agony with them and tried everything once a month he takes a dose of shrooms and he has complete control over his cluster headaches wish him the best anyway tanx for sharing videos too!

  • I watched a documentary where these people who suffered from severe migraines took either a very small dose of lsd or shrooms (I can’t remember which it was, but it wasn’t enough to make them hallucinate) and it totally went away for a significant amount of time. I’m really blurry on what exactly they took but you could read into that if you haven’t yet

  • There are green teas with flavors like pomegranate or citrus. That would count right? I try to eat tuna for omega 3’s and dairy free yogurt to keep my gut flora in check cause let me tell you if gut flora is out of whack you will be quite depressed

  • I don’t have Depression luckily. I’m always looking for more positive motivations for exercise etc.. thus I’ve dropped by. My advice would be to do as many push-ups as possible in on go when you get up. If safe, have a Cold shower for say 5mins. A good multi-vit mineral, little or no Iron if you’re a man. Give thanks for 5mins for small things, even your teaspoon. Oh yeah, make your bed first thing, it establishes a goal achieved. Drink more tea than coffee. Do all this and you’ll be in state for the day. Have a great on all….

  • Thought this might be useful…

(I wish it was more comprehensive…)

I try to keep the cost of food down by buying/eating:
    1.) Bananas
    2.) Potatoes
    3.) Peanuts
    4.) Apples
5.) Green Veggies in general-Broccoli, Spinach, Cauliflower, Lettuce, Green Beans, Collards, Kale, etc.
    6.) Oranges/Tangelos/Mandarins
    7.) Grapefruit
    8.) Beans/Lentils
    9.) Onions
    10.) Carrots and Celery
    11.) Cereal
    12.) Pears
    13.) Nectarines
14.) Organic Chicken, Turkey and Eggs factoring in heavily with animal protein, etc.
    15.) Organic Corn
16.) Grapes-Purple/Black, Red, Green, Thomcord, Muscat, etc.
17.) Drinking a lot of Water
    18.) Hot Cocoa
    19.) Pork (off and on…)
    20.) Garlic Powder

I also try to eat a fair amount of these medium to more expensive foods:
    1.) Salmon
2.) Berries-Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, etc.
3.) Cherries (more in the Summer)
    4.) Pomegranate in the Winter
    5.) Almond Milk/Chocolate Almond Milk
    6.) Cashews
    7.) Pistachios
    8.) Walnuts
    9.) Almonds
    10.) Asparagus
    11.) Crab
    12.) Avocados
    13.) Olives
    14.) Artichoke
    15.) Dates
    16.) Beef, sometimes Lamb…
    17.) Dark Chocolate
    18.) 100% Fruit Juice
    19.) Tartar Sauce
20.) Avocado Oil-kinda trying out Organic Ghee with Himalayan Pink Salt now…

Sushi, Duck, Shrimp Salad, Filet Mignon and Ribeye, Boar, Bison, this stuff is GREAT, but yeah, I can’t afford this stuff all the time…

Its also all about how much of the more expensive stuff do you go through/how quickly, etc. If I can get half of my plate filled with veggies, I know I’m doing pretty good and keeping the cost down per meal… I think salmon is worth the cost, for what you get… Same thing with berries, cherries, almond milk, nuts, avocados, and dark chocolate. Beef is the true wild card here… I just try not to have it more than a few times a week I guess…

  • Has your dad tried botox injections? They have really helped me. I still have break through but not nearly as bad. They stink so best of luck to him.

  • I just wanted to let you know that I have been watching your videos for the past couple of weeks and they help me a lot. You are my go to person that when I watch your videos, I calm down. I too suffer from migraines so I know what your dad is going through. Has he ever tried Botox for them? My family has a history of migraines and I know they can be absolutely terrible. I food that I eat that really seems to help with my low mood is blueberries. I like to freeze then and then chomp on them when I am anxious.

  • Using fasting to control blood sugar?? You mean letting blood sugar drop way too low and then forcing the body to raise it by provoking a stress response? That doesn’t make any sense.

  • Hi Scott! Just discovered your channel and enjoy all the helpful videos as well as your awesome personality.
Just want to add one comment about whole grains-mainly wheat. Gluten of course is no good for you whether you have celiac or not but on top of that the worst thing is how genetically modified wheat is (at least in the US). GMO’s are horrible for your body. Dr Josh Axe, look up his FB, just did a video today about the horrible effects of GMO’s.
Just my 2 cents. Keep up the great work!

  • Has your dad tried to get topamax from a doctor. Can be prescribed to him from his doctor. I use to have the same thing. Started taking it years ago and it has helped me so much! Hope he tries it and it helps. Let me know! I love almonds and nuts but your right so darn expensive!!

  • Pumpkin seeds are delicious…good sprinkled on eggs florentine….

Not sure if they’re any good for you but I love shelling pistachios…very satisfying!

Funny because I weaned myself into olives in much the same way!

  • B12 is sooooo important for mental health/ brain function and energy levels. The majority of people are deficient in it because it only comes from soil, people who eat meat get it from the animals eating grass, but a lot of animals nowadays are fed with grain so the animals have to be injected with it. I would recommend anyone, whether you have a mental illness or not to take a supplement for it.

  • Everything this man says is true. But add. Magnesium. L. Threonate. For mental function. Its great. Better than regular magnesium. By far.

  • Oily fish…mackerel, sardines, salmon etc…! Not to everyone’s taste but they’re high in Omega 3 and 6 and great for the brain…

  • I will share it with you as well steroids steroids steroids YouTube steroids some more steroids flexing flexing flexing money money money

  • Could you do a video about bipolar issues and keto. That would be much appreciated. Thanks for all you do! Will you feed your baby keto btw?

  • Excellent information my friend! So much in line with what I talk about on my channel. And thank you for putting this into creative commons, I have given you credit for my reuse even if you didn’t ask for it:) cheers!

  • Thank you Dr Oz for all the trouble you take to do the research and then educate us on various topics. There is one thing I would like you to tell me.
May I take Collagen Tablets and which one is the best? I heard that they are also good for painful joints. Lots of love and regards from Pakistan

  • Thanks so much for always doing what you do! You have a great channel anout very important issues and I find it inspiring. It’s very much appreciated and I always look forward to the notification to say you posted another video:-) I can’t wait to make a dark choc/avocado/quinoa brownie slice with all those yummy nuts in it! PS. Tumeric/Curcumin has been a great help to me, helps to un-inflame everything that stress and anxiety can inflame…if you know what I mean? (Not very ‘sciencey’ with my explanation I know haha) Thanks again:-)

  • That’s perfect:) This is a fantastic point in the right direction, it could help out my Mother a lot. I still would appreciate validation, for her benefit, that she won’t short circuit or blow a fuse by taking in conjunction things like CHAGA, Lions Mane, & Magtein. It’s just rather difficult working with people who’ve been thru so much. Like all of us, they get overly cautious, don’t know where to start, or what crosses the streams, or when to cross the streams.? They don’t listen to me very well unfortunately, & it’s like pulling teeth to get them to consider, but I absolutely love these people so I gotta try..? I only cultivate & conglomerate the best resources I can find, but they’d never forgive me for the simplest mistake. Lol idk, I can’t see it getting any easier without these brain accelerants/nootropics. The only problem is, if they work they might believe they actually got a firm grip on life, when I know in fact that grasp ain’t so vitally conditioned like it once was. What do we do then y’all?!?
Thanks Tom! You all take care & God Bless:)

  • Andy cutler also recommended Ala but people with merc tox need to use his protocol as it can make u worse if u have heavy metals it needs to be used at half life. So every three hours around the clock for three days and rest for four days. It must be said that Ala has the power to move metals from the liver into the brain but this is why it needs to be taken seriously and in small doses. I’ve had experience with Ala I took 200mg and felt amazing for four hours and then my brain exploded for weeks. So Plse people check out andy cutler protocol before u take Ala. Especially if u have amalgams. Or know u have heavy metals

  • I was on CoQ 10 gummies.I will order more.My HDL is below out of range although my total cholesterol is good and I have history of low TSH/Hyperthyroidism and had an appendix out 40 years ago.i am 47.I wonder what else I should be on.I also have some IBS although thats limited fortunately!I dont want to over fill my body with supplements but i do need some boosts!

  • Pro certa Avh helped me with dizzyness. It has a patent on delivering more oxygen to the brain. All I know it worked for me. Basically be dizzy in morning. Took these pills, dizziness went away.

  • Real food > supplements. First learn to implement proper foods to your diet, then if you still feel it’s neccessary: buy supplements.

  • 11:12 That was a smooth scenographic shift in the background:) Is it a montage or the door really slides so quietly? I dig the Brit-Pattern on it:)

  • Look so I bought something off of amazon like last week and the pills came in my box Ian buy it at all but bruh I needa focus rn bc I gotta Permit test to take ion got time to fail

  • All mental health problems are caused by severe calcium deficiency. This begins in the womb or in infancy. The human body can assimilate calcium only from fresh, natural, uncooked foods especially leafy greens and grasses, wheatgrass. Artificial supplements do not work. The best way to get the calcium from greens is through green smoothies.

Brain chemical imbalances have never been proved.

One of the reasons why mental health problems generally develop or manifest in late adolescence is because of the body’s need for tremendous amounts of calcium due to the sudden spurt in physical growth.

Calcium is needed for proper neurotransmitter function.

It is also important to minimise chronic cellular inflammation by avoiding white sugar, refined carbs and oils and fats that increase cellular inflammation.

Cellular inflammation prevents the absorption of nutrients vitamins and minerals.

  • If he hasn’t tried it, tell your dad to try Imitrex or it’s generic equivalent. I despise pills and don’t go suggest them to anyone but that shit works miracles. I used to get blow your brains out migraines. That pill stops them in 20-30 minutes every time. The only thing that ever worked. It’s the only pill I’ve ever asked a doctor for. It takes a prescription but it’s worth the trouble. I wouldn’t wish a migraine on anybody. Hope it helps and good luck!

  • Omega-3 Min 1000mgs
    Phosphatidy Iserine 100 mgs daily
    Ginko Biloba 120 mgs daily
    Co-Enzyme Q10 30mgs or more per day
Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mgs per day

  • This video should begin by recommending that the viewer consult with a physician or pharmacist before using these supplements, particularly when combining them with prescription medications.

  • Yoooo thank you! Ever since freshman year in high school It’s been hard for me to remember stuff and I can’t even talk without stuttering nowadays. I am beginning to realize that something is wrong with my brain

  • Imigram nasal spray. Prescription drug that provides artificial serotonin via direct absorption to the brain via the nose. Relief within 20 mins. It doesn’t stop the migraine but dulls it down to a low level headache so you can then sleep it off.

  • What this video does not say is that Omega-3 from plant sources (called ALA like in flax seed) does not readily convert well to DHA and EPA. To get sufficient DHA/EPA you need Omega-3 from animal sources including eggs (the yolk).

  • Nice video. But all of these supplements share the goal of brain longevity. If you want acute improvement from personal experience I strongly advice you to try Vitamin D3 and Creatine Monohydrate.

  • I’d like to do cold showers in the morning but I heard that it’s bad to do it after workouts because it prevents the muscle inflammation which re-grows the muscle. True or false?

  • Try to get your dad into a really solid corrective chiropractor if you haven’t already. I’ve heard that it can really help those who suffer from migraines.:)

  • Well done! Your research gets my pass (I’m a scientist) Where in Canada do you live? Fortunately I get to enjoy the Mediterranean diet and I have witnessed the benefits of those foods. Also, you can save some money by taking vitamins and mineral pills. Cheers!

  • The best supplement for brain nd the most powerful antioxydant know to human kind is: put your bare feet on the earth! I guarantee you if you walk or stand still for one hour bare feet on the soil, you will have a whole body super energy… Try it. With your supplementarion together, you will feel like superman! Put off your rubber isolating shoes which blocks the charging of your body of electrons

  • Where’s one of the very first “nootropics”…..caffeine?
In terms of energy, focus, and cognitive ability…..very few can beat it!

  • Medea puppet, doesn’t have a clue, there are many things that help memory and yes many products that are crap and some that are good, buyer beware but don’t throw the baby out with the bath water! Do your research and slowly experiment. This guy is a joker and laughing all the way to the bank! You won’t find any new information on the Dr Oz show, just big pharma misinformation and a horse and pony show!

  • Hi. I want to try anxiety/ocd medication but my mom doesn’t think I need it yet I really want to try it cause not a lot of things have worked what do I do???

  • I also need some help remembering things I forget things! Could you help me Dr Oz I would appreciate it very much thanks for your time! God Bless you always and family be safe Amen!

  • Dr. Oz could you please help me with the memory pill that really workthey test things out on young people not senior citizen what have memory issues

  • What helped me boost my memory is a snack called “Vanilla Calm by Yogi Granola”. It is a granola made with organic adaptogens, herbs and superfood mushrooms that have shown to improve memory in various studies. Its also quite delicious. Worth a try if you have memory problems, brain fog or frequent stress & anxiety.

  • This video is underrated. It basically tells us what to do in order to maintain a good mental health which is vital to be able to function well mentally and think clearly. I love you Thomas.

  • This is all stuff that has not been researched enough about. Almost none of the effects have been drawn as conclusive, and none with the mental effects. Almost all of the time your body produces the needed dosage in your body and adding more of it dosn’t really help, probably like overfilling a can, if you keep pouring over the limit it will just fall out.

  • Optimal mental performamce. Easy steps
    1) Sleep 8 hours a day
    2)Engage in attention sustaining tasks
    3) Eat lot of vegatables. Go out in sun
    4) 1 hour exercise everyday

  • First great video

Has there been a study to compare cold showers to really hot showers? Water itself is conductive. Does an extreme temperature ether direction. Produce a similar affect?

Usage of creatine along with L glutamine. Over a long period. Should help Brian fiction. Does the consumption
Times of day play a role on Brian health. Ie like we have 45 mins after a workout to feed the body to repair it. Could use of product increase retribution of studied material?

At there others material supplements to increase brain performance?

  • Is the bdnf increase from a cold shower temporary or permanent? I’m not sure how increasing bdnf from various sources work, is it like a temporary boost like having a cup of coffee?

Wondering if there is extra benefit to cold showers every day as opposed to just doing it on the days I need it.

  • Yea dude I love my cold showers. If you were standing in the next room you wouldn’t think so. You would think someone is torturing a cat.

  • I knew you switched to short term high intensity respitory rate. Both you and Mike found this at the same time. He grew you grew I grew along. Did you read about the soviet(the small “s” is intentional they don’t deserve capital) Olympic program from the 70 and 80?

  • I have a good way to maximum my mental performance.
First, eat a banana and drink a cup of green tea 30mins in advance.
Then, either run 60mins ; or go to the gym to do weight training for 50mins + 15 mins running.
    # Not sure why it works for me, hope it is helpful for you guys.

  • Chocolate is basically a drug the way your body responds to it. Plus the caffeine in there as well as green tea can can cause irregular heart beat, as well as cause you to feel irritable.(I prefer teas without caffeine after my not so pleasant health hiatus.) Green tea saps the iron from your liver or something like that. better than coffee? hell yes but best tea in my book at this point is organic chamomile with unbleached tea bags. (In moderation just like with all tea(& everything else) because, I found after an experience with pericarditis.( & fuck-shit high dosage ibuprofen & sum omeprazole was it?.idk) My digestion system was upset with me, & so tho I could obviously tell that though tea is a great natural anti inflammatory. Chamomile specifically can overload your liver &/or kidneys. Causing irritation (Logical considering tea is perceived as medicine by many. & what’s medicine without moderation?. Death, haha, or at least discomfort.) and therefore become a negative positive, hence moderation.) It contributes to a mellow feel, but agreed on the “..end all..” better in tandom with god, meditation, & commitment to a better life emotionally & physically. Grain though delicious, is one of the greatest inflammatory causing processed foods consumed by Americans. (That, cows milk, and meat,(not sure about other milks) why exactly: common sense tells me this is due to the fact the grain is literally processed in the body as sugar. As well as, though nutrients such a A &/or D &/or protein usually VIA Soy, which is super fuckery. Considering all that & all corn & soy beans is, in America last time is checked over 80% genetically modified. (Plus fun fact: corn is a grain, you knew that? Shit i didn’t once. So basically that means; double fuckery attack.) So when you see soy anything or corn anything, unless specifically stated “GMO free” & this is validated by an actual reputable source. its more than likely genetically modified. & GMOs have been proven to cause Tumors malignant & non, cancer, & birth defects in rats. Oh yea & modified anything, example: modified corn starch is. Yes a GMO. It’s cool they tell you though, it could be more weirdly obstructed knowledge like “partiality modified, but not really though: Corn Starch. Sooo yea, grain, as much as it’s Delicious, it’s super bad for you and taxes your body more so than it contributes even with added feels goods, & do goods. Oh n quinoa⬅that right? Was a favorite n sapiens,⬅ that right haha I was able to get over, but holes in my esophagus n possibly my bile sack I.e:that is leakage? No mothaa.. Way.
No dirt against u buddy, just sharing knowledge. U wanna help me: right? Well I appreciate u, & I wanna help you, & who ever else is interested in betterment of thy self.
Random closing thoughts: Coconut oil is not an health food, its a saturated fuckery treat, bound to give you a heart attack. At most a decent additive to an organic moisturizer. Or an occasional cooking oil (In what: mo-do-ration, not being funny or a smart ass, jus a bit of flare, u know.) due to the fact that it doesn’t fold under moderately high tempatures.
Chayote: boss, raw, bossness natural anti inflammatory( I like raw zucchini 2)
Black seed (black cumin seed) oil? Cures everything but death? What? Woord? I’m down, EBay!!
If blessed with the luxury always buy organic & natural produce & products. & 4 the black seed definitely make sure its non-GMO, in an amber glass for the oils protection, & 100% cold pressed (Nigella sativa) black cumin seed oil. & smile no matter how badd it is, shit, it could be worse, as long as we above ground, there’s room 4 growth: BosS statement!!

  • Your dad needs CBD oils. Or just to smoke weed. I used to get at least 6 migraines a year, where id be puking my guts out and crying and since I started smoking I’ve maybe gotten 2 in 4 years.

  • Want to know something really trippy? Experiments have shown that that dopamine hits BEFORE the event you perceive as causing it happens.

  • I’ve been extremely tired and exhausted by the evening hours, physically and mentally!!!
Is this because I’m not doing something right in my keto journey???

  • 4:56 We need to be careful about words. The scientists have decided to say “we’re exposing our brains to stress” but I don’t agree with this. Rather “we are exposing our brains to stimulus” is a much better way to think about it. And is much better wording.

  • Hi Thomas. I have a question and haven’t been able to find info about it. Do SSRI antidepressants affect my weight loss or might affect me getting into ketosis? I think they do affect me but I would like to know more info on it. Thanks a lot!

  • Nice video Scott!! I really admire and love you bro, you are fuckin awesome!!!! Since I am a vegan I am so much happier, having compassion for all animals feels so good, and also vegan food just make you feel so energetic and awesome. Cheers from Argentina, keep doing videos I love them so much

  • I’m currently co-authoring an academic article with my professor which researches mobile fitness applications and how they effect and relate to cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT). We noticed that it some key factors in successful long-term results consist of CBT techniques like Goal-Setting, Self-Monitoring via prompts and cues and Social Support. It’s interesting because Social Support relies on Personal and Social accountability. I plan on expanding this research in the future. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • Their lattes have maltodextrin in them btw! I haven’t noticed a difference since I stopped using them, besides having a crap ton of extra money, but you can message them and they will tell you what products have maltodextrin. obviously they have calories and will break a fast but the malto. has a higher glycemic index than glucose!

  • Pure orange juice meaning from a regular orange does not have the same sugar as processed sugar which you buy in the grocery store. Sugar is not Sugar there are different forms that act differently in the body

  • Where do you buy your shirts? Also isn’t there a method of knowing your pushing yourself to where you need to be based on your heart rate, height and weight? Could you share that? Also could you do a HIIT video for people with diastasis recti?

  • Boosting cognitive function is important. Sadly, I am not surprised how few people have watched this video relative to some of his other ones. Do a video on getting abs, get a million views. Do a video on thinking more clearly, get sixty thousand.

  • Can you make a video of how to avoid nightmares? i have them every night:( thank you so much for your videos, hugs from argentina

  • Dude, I’m not trying to pick on you. I LIKE and I’m SUBSCRIBED and I’ve rung the BELL to be notified and I SHARE your videos. I posted about your over use/misuse of the word ‘literally’ and you immediately self-corrected the very next video. Do you know how rare of a quality that is in a person? Phenomenally brilliant! So, here’s one more teensy-weensy correction. You’re pronouncing ATP incorrectly. You’re adding an ‘s’ before the ‘phosphate’. It’s adenine tri-phospate, not trisphospate. Carry on with the great work! You look perfect, you sound perfect, your content is amazing, your thumbnails are great, your merch is awesome… I think I’m in love with you… and I’m straight! LOL! I hope you’re becoming a gazillionaire on YouTube!

  • Hey Thomas, speaking of nootropics what is your opinion on L-Tyrosine supplementation for cognative preformance?

BTW would it break a fast?

  • I’ve tried many supplements and 15 different medications for my OCD and the only thing works for me is risperdal consta it’s an anti psychotic i know some of you may say it’s bad etc… but it’s the only thing that worked for me and i find B complex works well as it makes me calm and energetic at the same time… OCD is bad people you will do anything to get rid of it.

  • My mind wandered and I missed out in some important points…

Can you tell me 1 or 2 things I should take away from this Thomas?

    Free Man

  • As much as they can suck. I’ve never felt like shit after a cold shower. I sometimes finish my showers with ice cold water. I turn the hot completely off, turn my back to the water and…. lol

  • This is good but talking about brain health without any meditation is like talking body health without taking sleep in the equation.

  • I like this vedio very much it is really helpfull

  • I think we should challenge Four Sigmatic to harvest chaga sustainably.

Rosalee de la foret has challenged them, I have yet to see a meaningful reply from them on how they address their harvesting practices.

  • Awesome video, man!

In earlier videos, you encourage holding off on caffeinating until at least 30-60 min after waking to give natural cortisol levels a chance to do their thing. Would you apply the same counsel to cold showers? Or are they okay right out of bed to wake up?

  • You say not to consume protein because it will interfere with stable blood glucose. I’m fairly certain that Dave Feldman (author of cholesterol code and avid experimenter) did the carnivore diet with a continuous glucose monitor and found that the glucose graph gave no indication of when he consumed his meals, therefor the protein gave practically no blood glucose increase. This is just one person, but I wouldn’t be surprised if more people reacted the same way. It may also be in the context of carnivore diet only. There are many variables at play, as always, but I think that protein gets a bad rap unnecessarily.

  • Thomas, you are the proof of these great points! I’ve never seen anyone stay so perfectly focused and clear…and be able to convey SO MUCH incredible information in such a short amount of time. You are absolutely amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing tons of critical and beneficial information with us!!:o)

  • Deep sleep, fasting, music (binaural beats, relaxing music) yoga (legs up wall or inversions to increase blood flow to head) head massage helps also, green tea (l theanine helps calm the brain & helps focus) cold showers (helps wake you up) peppermint or grapefruit oil (helps you focus) & HIIT for sure, also getting fresh air or working in nature (natural lighting) hope this helps someone:)

  • Gingko Biloba Supplements can cause Minor Seizures. I use to take them as a child, teen, and mid 20’s until I realize it was giving me a Headache and my Minor Seizures stopped.

  • hey! for how long should you take a cold shower to get the most benefits? better to take one long one r very short more frequent ones?:)

  • Well done. Great clip.
I look forward to seeing some more clips on increasing one’s mental performance. Especially, considering so many of us are work shift (night) work these days.

  • Hi Thomas, I’m 20 and trying to bulk right now but struggling to put on weight. I’m not doing keto so was wondering if you would recommend buying a bag of dextrose-glucose for making post-basketball shakes because I play basketball at night so don’t really want to be making potatoes or rice. Also, would you advise taking BCAA’s? Any help would be much appreciated.

  • ALA can also be extremely dangerous if you do not use it correctly. Also, ALA grabs ahold of metal in your body, after 3-4 hours ALA is no longer working, which means that it stops being magnetic to the metal in your body, which means that it releases ALA in your body again. So if you’re going to use it, you need to use a low dose and take it every 4 hours. That’s the only way it will stay magnetic to the metals and helping the metals until they pass through your kidneys. Oh and you need to use magnesium with it.

  • I thought there would’ve been some type of nutrient suggestions as of what vitamin.
utrient would\could balance what emotion or deficiency, but I guess not, it seems she was distinguishing the health according to regions…..oh well!

  • Kratom like chocolate and cheese makes you feel good because the opiod receptors are activated. However if you drink kratom use triphala or milk of magnesia to aid with digestion.

  • @Doctor Oz so just random it’s nothing to do with all the online memory pills but is Fish oil naturally supposed to help with brain functioning?
