  • You can’t convert k1 in plants to k2. So forget about this list.
    Egg yolks and duck fat are two of the best sources of k2. Liver, butter and cheese are good too.

    I guarantee you that the vast majority of doctors (especially in the US) don’t know a blessed thing about vitamins and supplements. And by stating that people should speak with their doctor first, you can pretty much guarantee that the person who is considering taking any vitamin will be advised not to by their physician. The will nearly always recite some statistic that there is no approval from the FDA or there aren’t any or enough clinical trials, etc…. Unfortunately, physicians trained in the US are not given adequate study or information on vitamins and nutrition usually just a couple dozen hours of the most basic education. I know this because I was told so by a doctor (internist) that I have known for many years. He now recommends vitamins or supplements if he feels the patient can benefit from it. He will use drug therapy as a last resort. He almost ALWAYS recommends CoQ10 supplementation for his patients who are using statin drugs long term. Also, I know and am very good friends with a surgical nurse of 40 years who told me basically the same thing. There is a huge anti-vitamin bias in the medical industry. If anyone asks their family doctor for advice before taking a certain vitamin or supplement, the doctor will almost always advise against it largely because part of being a doctor in modern-day America means pushing drug and medication solutions. In addition, many doctors literally receive cash benefits from drug companies for getting their patients to use drugs and medications. So, for many doctors, they have a very strong monetary incentive to prescribe drugs. The rule of thumb in the medical industry is drugs/medication/surgery solutions only no vitamins.

  • I completely disagree. My wife is on Warfarin, she tried eating greens, (They are good for you) Except they threw her warfarin way out of wack. The doctor called and asked what had changed. She mentioned she was eating broccoli, spinach and greens like that and she was told about vitamin K. The next test she had showed her results were back to normal and the doctor asked what she did. She said she gave up eating foods with vitamin K and that’s what brought her blood back to normal. Vitamin K is good for you BUT Warfarin we find keeps her blood more stable, less guess work, and more time goes by without another recheck!:)

  • Sir I wanna ask one question…..vit k is given Im…. it’s dose is 0.5 ml….It is given directly or it needs to be diluted with normal saline

  • INR levels and diet is all down to consistency in what you eat. I’m on 7.5mg 6 days a week and one day at 10mg. I’m about 2.4 INR and I just started doing Keto. I eat vegetables like nothing else and my INR stays solid. I know how to adjust dosage based on diet now as well… Cheers for the ol’ US of A, mate!
