Over the past 96 days I’ve run over 1000 miles. It has been an incredible experience and I’ve learned so much! In this video, I discuss and explain all that I’ve learned! Enjoy the video:). My Instagram: https://bit.ly/2ErHlcp. Live Happy.. Be Healthy.
This is a 1 mile time-trial using a BOB REVOLUTION Jogging stroller. The final time was 4:23. The course is a winding greenway trail in Davidson NC with normal pedestrian traffic. The terrain is predominately flat with one minor hill. Our idea was to simulate a real world scenario to demonstrate the durability and maneuverability of the BOB stroller even at such high speeds. The video features Two-Time Track and Field Olympian Anthony Famiglietti using his own personal daily use BOB REVOLUTION Stroller. The weight vest with additional weights were used to safely simulate the weight of his one year old son.. Its interval day. Your client has a VO2 max of 58 ml/min/kg and you want him to run on the treadmill at 85% VO2 max for 3 minutes interspersed with 3 minute recovery jogs.
If the treadmill is set to. Up until this point the longest run i ever did was 8 miles and i was not pushing a stroller. The longest run besides that was around 5.5 (my typical running route). I didnt intend to go so long today but man i was just feeling great. I managed to get a personal record of 9.24 miles!
As an interim safety measure in the wake of Scott Kalitta’s fatal crash, the NHRA has decided to shorten the length of the race in the Funny Car and Top Fuel classes from 1320 feet down to. I decided to set a goal of working towards running 3 km without stopping. When I started out I could barely make it 1 km without walking, but I just decided to keep going even if I had to walk parts of the run.

The friend asked why, and Tom explained that he’d been at home looking at his training log, had realized he’d miscalculated his running mileage for the week, and had decided to correct the error by running the extra miles instead of changing the number in his log.

I share my runs with my 2 yo. He loves them. If you wear a Garmin how do you keep it from losing its pace? I can see my cadence drop as soon as I put my hand on the stroller. Also what mount did you use for the GoPro? the handlebar mount?
I thought this was really impressive until I saw that long downhill, none the less still very hard to be having to push something and only getting movement from one arm at a time
All these elite middle distance runner and super skinny I’m wondering if there are any who can do these kinds of times with any muscle on their body plz only sub 5 respond not fat keyboard experts at sub 8
Anthony can kick my ass in a race while taking his kid for a stroll..PMSL…lovely place to run too and props to Anthony and crew for recording this epic mile…always need motivation for my own running and that was insane..well done guys and thanks!
Nice run! To simulate real world conditions, Sponge Bob needs to toss some important things (like his shoes and socks) out of the stroller from time to time.
I personally did a similar thing, recorded my best time on a trail, went on holiday to France and rode 1week of les orres bike park, then went to alpe dhuez to race the mega (racing brings the beast of of me if you know what I mean, just hit everything twice as fast, with less care and just go for it) and now I’m returning home to see how much better I got, hoping to shave of 30 seconds of the 3min lap, I know it sounds like much but the record is 50 faster and in my recoding lap I went of track and lost 10-20 seconds.
Do u listen to music when u run? I’m a beginner the most I have ran is 3 miles. But I also I have really bad asthma. I can’t break past the mental part of running. I’m good for like a mile and a half and then it gets to me.
How much variation does the combination of Garmin GPS and Strava produce by itself? Measuring the start and finish position definitely impacts the segment time.
I was doing something similar over lockdown. I have a 1mi DH section behind my house and decided to see how much I could improve on it. I went out every other day, or so. Scoped the best lines, worked on areas I needed to improve like, sprints, berms, and switchbacks. After 25 attempts in 2 months, I managed to shave off 1:05! My goal was 0:40! Added bonus: I’m now 3rd, all time, in my age group (45 and up) and only 5 seconds off the leader, so that will be my next goal
Made big improvements and dropped a bit of weight when I was furloughed for 3 weeks, but all back to normal now working 6 days a week and don’t have the time or the energy to get many good rides in
Does it get more difficult not being able to wave your arms while running? whats your pb on the 5k running alone? great vid and great race, it was fun to watch
I ran through undergrad and medical school. It helped so much to be able to deflate and either go over issues or even use it as a study time. In medical school I would bring a list of anatomy or other things I would memorize while running 1 hour per day. In medical school I studied so much that I would study while grocery shopping or driving too. I am a surgeon so I still remember the things I studied then.
I decided today that im going to run 1000 miles before January. That’s 105 days from today. I don’t run regularly but I am very fit and athleticly built and do 5×5 3 times a week and an ab workout 4 days a week. I will carry “surrender to the experience” with me, its perfect! Wish me good speed x
I never have a problem losing signal with a GPS. You may be losing cadence if your GPS is using an accelerometer rather than satellite triangulation. I mounted it on the handlebars. I have tried to mount it looking back at the face of my kids, but I prefer the handlebar view. You can see another one of my videos with a different mounting with my double stroller.

Fucking awesome! I recently started running a month ago and would never see myself running that fast anytime soon. Keep up the good work!
I think Rich hast trouble getting faster because he is verry consistently fast every time! Ride 1 and 2 were almost identically fast. Impressive.

this is so weird for me to watch because I live right near here and he is driving on the exact roads that i take to school every day.

yeah but what does lots of miles of running have to do with dirty feet! you can still have clean feet with tons of running.anyway
My coach runs that in like… well 50 days. And that’s just normal days. He gets in a comp. and it’s like more than 100 miles a day .
