  • I’m 5’2, 132 lbs to 125 lbs then it frustrates me because I’ve been in 125lbs to 124lbs still for 2 weeks…and in that I’m doing jump rope for a week…

  • 6’3 25 year old man, I did 107 lbs in 6 months in 2015.. 302 TO 195. Even more daunting is that I kept a majority of it off, never going above 230 again since, (195 was really lean, I’m comfortable and fit at 215-220).. I didn’t do 10 hours a day in the gym. I did 2 hours a day in the gym coupled with mixing a very low carb diet with a whole food vegan diet. When I’d get bored of eating meat and salad, I would switch to fruit, salad, and beans and be vegan, keeping calories around 1500. It was the hardest thing I ever did. No one else understands the will power and courage it takes to face that mountain and not be overwhelmed by its might. To put your head down and take it one step at a time. 99% of people don’t have it in them, be the one percent! I never thought I could do it until I decided to do it. You can too!

  • I have no clue who would tell you that you can’t gain weight eating as much fruits and veggies as you want, the type (fruits and veggies) help your nutrition and metabolism for sure but if you eat too much (calories in verses calories out) you will gain weight. I also heard that if you roast the potatoes and then roast again they lose their starch.

  • I came across this channel today as I wanted to learn how to jump rope with the correct technique as a beginner. I have had a jump rope with me for over a year now but never got around to get serious with it because I wasn’t doing it right, and it took me a complete year to realise that I could look up a proper beginner technique on youtube. I have resorted solely upon jogging for my cardio which was too exhilarating and not much fun and now due to the restrictions owing to COVID-19. I have become a lazy couch potato for past three months to the point that I gained 45lbs and lost my gains which took me 2 years to get (not a highly motivated lad here!) So looking at this particular video with Dan describing his journey, I have a spurt of motivation to begin and now I am back at the starting point again at 260lbs with my goal to lose weight become lean.

  • I can’t find the initial video I commented on to come back and update!! So I’ll do it on this one. Started jump rope end of march\april 2020 starting weight 184lbs / current weight 166lbs. The biggest difference came after I got my Crossrope set (lean) the first pair kept getting tangled and frustrating. I’ve lost 3 inches around my waist, 4.5 inches around my belly button. I’ve learned the high knees, running jump, the cross over, boxer step, straddle and double unders!!! I plan on eventually moving on to the heavier ropes!!!

  • It’s easy to lose weight just diet properly. Even a five year old can do that. Age is not such a big factor when it comes to losing it despite slower metabolism, as you can always make your diet stricter. Finally, age 32 is not old, you fucking 10 year olds people used to die at the age of 30 at one point in time, but with the advanced technology that we have today, people can live four times 32. I legitimately know people forty years old that are much healthier than twenty year olds for one simple reason; lifestyle has nothing to do with age, and such age is not even old in any way, shape, or form in the first place.

I have tried to add fruits to my water, but it still tastes either too bitter, too sweet or like NOTHN.

  • Funny you should mention that, when I was trying to lose weight (I’m gonna have to live alone or find somewhere private where I can treadmill in peace without interruptions causing sudden exhaustion) and I was just calorie restricting, I lost the most weight when I ate a lot suddenly, breaking free from “starvation mode” or whatever the technical term was, the only issue is that I didn’t like eating that much after eating so little, and it was harder each time to go back to eating so little, and low calorie foods that aren’t just eating less end up costing more than I can afford

  • U look amazing brother..I recently turned 43 and starting to get back in shape I LOVE jumping rope but I seem to get HORRIBLE shin splints anymore! Like to the point that I can barely walk..I have very good shoes and have used a mat..any tips or info on how to avoid this?? I’ve had great success with jumping rope in the past and want soooo badly to start again. Thanx so much for ur inspiration!

  • Just bought a rope yesterday after watching this channel for a week and counting calories and eating healthy. Starting at 236 (postpartum) so I’m hoping this works for me.

    I get this is coming somewhat late, against the upload date of the video, but have you considered calisthenics instead of the gym?
    I dont prefer dull and repetitive gym training, and calisthenics provides me perfect substitution.
    You move your whole body, almost every muscle is working together at once (no head&shoulders days like in the gym), youre out in the open, and it pairs up amazing with rope as you dont get much leg workout in calisthenics and you need cardio.
    Anyways, thats my fav combination, wouldnt change it for a world at this point, so thought of sharing it.

  • How long was yer first weight loss stall? I feel like since I’m older and at the menapaus age, this may b harder til my body gets more use to it. Not quite sure yet. But, I would believe it would b a big part of it. luvs!

  • I’ve been getting a similar reaction from my family saying I’m too fat to give weight loss advice even though I’ve just completed a course to become a weight management advisor and know more about nutrition than most gp’s (proving their training in nutrition is extremely lacking). My weight loss is slow because of hasimotos but the keto diet makes me feel much better than any other diet. For me it’s healing first then hopefully weight loss will follow. Keep up the good work. You’re the best keto YouTuber in the uk.
