One day, by chance, an FA member entered my life and told me her story. It sounded like mine. She was a food addict, but she had found a solution and it was free. So I decided to try it one day at a time.

This was the first time I decided to lose some weight, and I was successful. After about seven months, I was at 215 pounds. However, I stayed at that weight for about two months and I started to slowly gain weight the weight back.

  • I eat way to much, when I’m not hungry I eat, when I’m hungry I eat a lot, when I’m slightly hungry I eat, when I’m thirst I eat, whenever i was bored i ate, every time it’s a highly sugary food, everytime I try to diet I can go for like 2 days then I eat like 1 highly sugared food and I completely give up. I have to survive with 20$ until next paycheck, I end up borrowing money because I spent mine buying food and binging, also I get very mad and irritated when I can’t eat what and when I want to eat, I get very frustrated.   • My dearest friend has reached 425 1bs, I knew her when she 150, 5′ 9″. She told me just last week, I don’t want to be a mom, I can’t handle being a wife, I have tons of money from the government, and I live like a queen. Then she calls me, I am broken, I hate what I look like, I hate the way people see me. But, hand her a Pepsi, it’s gone. Eats all kinds of meats, pizza, everything that no one in their right mind would eat. When the Dr. said, being the best you can be after being committed to eating well, I thought of her. She doesn’t want to have expectations from others, she has it made as well as bone pain, kidney problems, diabetes, migraines, can hardly get herself to the bathroom. I guess it is all a choice. I sent her this link, she won’t care. People want to be unhealthy, success is too difficult to try; personal success is too much, being a good friend is half-ass with her. Where does this person go from here besides the grave?

  • Has this helped anyone? I did WL hypnosis with a local therapist a few years ago, and it worked. I was losing a lb a week it was greAt because I didn’t feel like I made any changes. My boyfriend noticed I was eating about half of what I used to eat. A few years out and I’m back to old habits and up 20lbs. I’m active and work out but I eat way too much.   • I eat about 500-900 calories a day. Theres two reasons for this. 1. I figured less calories faster weight loss. 2. Because I have a medical problem where everytime I eat I get really nauseous so I have a tendency to either not eat or eat very little. I’ve been trying to eat at least 1000 calories a day but because I get nauseous its really hard to force myself to eat while I’m nauseous. I’m gonna start doing this and the looking better exercise. I hope it works.

  • I dont have a problem with over eating, though I am over weight. I have a problem with instant gratification. I have no desire to cook anymore. I literally eat a fast food meal once a day. Maybe a bowl of cereal in the morning every so often. But I usually eat once a day because I don’t want to cook, so I wait til the very last minute where I’m very hungry, usually between 4 and 7p. And then I go get fast food. It’s been this way for almost 10 years. Idk how to break that habit when I just am too lazy to cook and just hate cooking for myself. I think I’m doomed.

  • Okay, so my experience. Put this on for the first time last night. I dreamed about a childhood friend I haven’t seen or thought of in years. She was never very nice to me. In the dream, we are grown and she invites me to be in her wedding party. We are in some remote resort like the Catskills or something. Over the week, I get more and more marginalized (just like when we were little) until finally I’m out of the wedding. BUT, I’m not mad. My feelings aren’t hurt. I just make arrangements, and I leave! I don’t want to be there, I’m fine with it, and I leave! It felt so good. I never have positive dreams like that. And according to my little smart watch, I spent 2 1/2 hours in REM sleep. Also unheard of for me. Really interesting. I hope to heaven everything is cool with the messages here like they’re not telling us to invest heavily in cod liver oil, or wire money to Venezuela or something.

  • I used to take a taste of everything I would be making-lunch meat, whipped cream, cheese, etc. Since listening to this I have found myself thinking I don’t really want a taste and I put the food away. I am doing intermittent fasting and keto and I find I now go all day, upwards of 21 hours without eating and not being hungry. I never thought I was an emotional eater just compulsive possibly both I am thinking. I don’t seem to place food so high I my must have list. So far this seems to be working for me

  • I am a recovering food addict and in this pandemic, along with some other issues, I have found myself eating emotionally. This tape has helped more than you know. I’ve told everyone I know. Of course since it’s subliminal you could be telling me to run through the streets naked, but since I haven’t done anything weird, and I am not turning to food for comfort, then I’m gonna stick with it.   • But it’s also okay to eat fast food every once in a while! I feel like many people are either extreme because they eat too much junk food, or extreme because they eat absolutely no junk food. If you are healthy it’s okay to eat some junk food sometimes, as a little treat, if you want it. Treating yourself is important too, just make sure not to overdo it.

  • I had the strangest experience while listening to this. I woke up crying, after I had dreamed I was visited by 3 souls that have left this earth and my life. I was only 42 minutes in. A very surreal and emotional experience for sure… I switched to the rain one and hopefully that will be less emotional of an experience and I can get some real rest.

  • Adrian, I’ve been biking an average of 10 miles a day, eating 1200 calories a day (mostly low carb, lots of veggies) since July 1. I use the Lose It! app to track everything I eat. I also did Intermittent Fasting 16:8. I lost a few pounds the first week BUT I gained it all back as of today, July 26. I havent changed anything. What am i doing wrong? Why isn’t this working for me? I have 20 lbs to lose and I’m trying so hard.

  • It’s crazy how out of touch so many of us have become with our hunger response. I actually am not even sure I fully know what it feels like. My food addictions, even though I’m lean, are powerful especially for sugar and caffeine. I am hopeful I can continue making a change. I definitely feel great 12 days in to Fuhrman’s 10 in 20 plan. Food is so powerful.

  • I’ve always had a food addiction. I even suffered from bulimia because of it. When 2019 started I knew I had to stop hiding from it. I’ve lost 50 pounds since 2019. I’ve actually had to cut people off because a lot of people eat like this and it was my bigger trigger

  • I like this video but isn’t it dangerous and unhealthy to only consume only 600-800 calories a day. Even weight loss programs don’t offer that low of an option for a goal. Not trolling or being mean just inquisitive about it.

  • Sometimes when we think we’re hungry we’re actually thirsty. Sometimes when I think I’m hungry l drink a large glass of water then my “hunger” goes away.
    Also if I go out to eat l only eat half my meal and take the rest home and eat it later instead of trying to eat the whole thing in one sitting

  • Only listened to the first 3hours or so last night. Today was the first day I didn’t crave any snacks. I usually line up healthy snacks (6 or 7 different fruits) to get me through the day especially working 8 hours in front of a PC. I didn’t have cravings or feel hungry in between meals. The snacks remained untouched and forgotten. Might be a coincidence but I’m doing it again tonight.

  • I have this issue. I used to be addicted to candy. Everyday I ate candy sometimes 2 bags. I overcame that problem but now I have an issue with losing weight bc I like to eat.     I’m 18 and need to lose about 90 more pounds. I’ve lost 20 already. I deal with so so so much shame because I don’t often seen people my age struggling with such a high weight. A lot of people I follow are older than me when they deal with this. I feel pretty alone and bizarre. I see a nutritionist and I get conflicting advice all the time. People who have naturally lost 100 pounds might suggest keto, one might suggest just calorie counting, one might say to go vegan. I never know who to believe. It seems like so many people try to promote their way to make money. I want to do what’s right but there are so many ways.

    Right now I’m eating 1400 calories. It seems like a lot but my nutritionist says it’s low!

    I’m learning to forgive myself. This is a real addiction. I missed out on having that great and tight teen body but at least I’m doing something about it, right?

    This video gives me hope. Although I don’t think I will do a liquid diet, there are some things I can work on like eating less candy. Sugar is my biggest problem of all time.

  • I’m definitely dealing with food addiction. I eat till I’m sick most of the time and I am always anticipating the next meal. Sugar is massive for me as well. Fasting helps though

  • I’ll admit I was really skeptical at first, but I tried it anyway. This video is doing some incredible things for me. I am sleeping the entire night through. This hasn’t happened for me in years. It used to take a long time for me to go to sleep, now I sack out in like the first five minutes of this video. For me, this might be more of a sleep aid, with a “stop eating” bonus. I used to wake up in the night and think that a full stomach would get me back to sleep (which is really bad for you). Even when I wake up in the morning, I am not desperate for breakfast. I am completely amazed that this is working for me! Thank you tremendously!

  • My mom and I both are addicted to food. I want so badly to become healthier. I hate myself because It’s like I just can’t control myself when I eat. I think of the best ideas to try to overcome it, but when the time comes my brain pushes it all to the side and I just feel like complete crap afterwards. I’ve been telling my mom for months that I want to be healthier, but she always makes excuses to not to do it. So all my temptations are always right there for me. �� I’ve gained almost 50 lbs during quarantine and I’m just spiraling into a world of depression but the only thing there for me is food.

  • Around 9 minutes in you said that high carbohydrate foods made people feel hunger sooner and more extremely than the high fat group. I… Have the opposite problem. I’m trying to go low carb/keto (not sure if I’ll reach keto cause fruit is just too good to give up) but I find if I eat a high fat or high protein meal, like chicken or hotdogs (unhealthy, I don’t have them anymore very often but it still happens with them, without buns obviously) or even egg based dishes I’ll get intensely hungry after only half an hour, or less, and that hunger doesn’t go away unless I eat something high carb. That is just, completely opposite. Do you know why that might be? Is it just because my body is used to high carb? Or is there some actual reason? Cause it makes it real hard to eat right when the right foods leave you hungry and dizzy as shit:/.

  • I have been following this and others similar for a year and very little weight loss. I think they are wrong about calories. I saw all the videos that a calorie is not the same for bread vs. carrots, I get it. But that doesn’t seem to work for anyone I know or myself. He said you don’t completely digest beans and half the calories go in the toilet. I just cannot believe that. When I eat until “almost” full and stop and then compare to the restriction of calories, the restriction works for weight loss, and that is for my friends doing the same as me. I think we have proven him wrong on that. So, I think he is totally wrong about calories.

  • Sugar and refined carbohydrates are NOT the same. About half of sugar is fructose. And fructose is processed by the body completely differently from glucose. There is also a significant hedonic difference between these two foods (sugar is much more palatable than complex carbs).

  • Restrictive diets aren’t good either though. Majority of Americans are still overweight or obese.When you stay you can’t have a food item you are saying something is “off limits”. Is it also proven restricting yourself can trigger binge eating as well. This video is missing a lot and mainly highly dopamine response but someone like Amber or anyone saying things are off limits isn’t healthy either. It has been proven.

  • I’ve been listening for about 2 weeks. I am able to fall asleep and if I wake up, fall back asleep easily. Plus I have lost 7 lbs. so far.   • Been using it for nearly 2 weeks, I’ve experienced absolutely no eating changes, I might be sleeping deeper but not sure, as far as weightloss and exercise its had no effect.

  • Fuhrman is a fruit phobic person. Fruits are the highest foods in antioxidants, and without them, all the diseases overruniing the world-parkinson’s, ms, als-lou gehrigs disease, cancers, infections and viruses, and many more, are possible. Eat lots of fruits, leafy greens, and 10% or less fat (no oils), seeds mostly rather than nuts.

  • What’s cool about this, even though it may seem hard if you’re used to the American diet, is that it’s actually easier. You just have to get educated and motivated and then try it for awhile. Learn how to make delicious foods salads with blended nut and seed and fruit and vinegar dressings, vegetable bean soups, steamed veggies and brown rice or quinoa, maybe with a peanut butter sauce you make from pb, garlic, and the water from steaming the veggies. You don’t have to give up eating, you just eat more of these healthful foods first and put off the unhealthful ones and after awhile you don’t want the unhealthful ones. Like I think about meat sometimes, but I would only want to eat it with lots of greens and onions and mushrooms, celery, and cashews, etc. and then, I’m like I don’t really need it or it would be a flavoring at that point. Or it’d be down at a level, 5% of calories or less, that might not be harmful. So you feel better all the time, don’t have unhealthful cravings, don’t get sick as much or as bad, poop easily, not to mention have lower weight, lower blood sugar, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol right, everything is better including your mood. You can exercise better, you can cook for your friends / family, Your taste buds are better you enjoy food more. It’s at least quite good and perfectly satisfying and you don’t feel like crap when you’re not eating. You might want to start gardening, check out permaculture, and then you don’t need the disease care system, you can save money interesting that “health” insurance costs as much as healthful food. You can turn your back on this but you’re fucking yourself. This actually empowers people it doesn’t sell them garbage that hurts them, it empowers them to take care of themselves.

  • She does not work. So she has plenty of time to prepare and cook healthy food. She doesn’t because she is so lazy. It does not take long to make a healthy stir fry. In her videos I do not see bowls of fresh fruit, hardly any fresh vegetables, it is mostly frozen or packaged food. Most with a high fat and calorie count

  • There is nothing wrong with her eating a high carb meal. Carbs are low in calorie density. Whole grains are great to lose weight. The problem is that the carbs she’s eating probably have plenty of fat in them. “The Fat you eat is the fat you wear.” Why are most Asians so skinny? After all, they eat tons of rice white rice to be exact. Because carbs don’t make you fat.

  • I cannot get decent life insurance because my BMI is deemed too low. I had a DEXA scan and my body fat is actually really normal. I eat mostly the way that the good doctor is telling us to eat but I do have my hiccups and I’m not perfect.

  • Hi I’m very intrigued by this and I tried it last night. However I didn’t get to sleep until 4am. I was unsure if it was too quiet as I could just hear the music (whereas on headphones I can here the whispers slightly), but I didn’t want it playing too loud either.   • Love your video!!! When I experimented I learned that Carby foods are addicting cause of the sugar in it. To break it you have to fast or do only low glycemic for a week or liquid only. After you burn off the sugar you lose all cravings

  • Since coming across Fuhrman’s book, “Eat to Live” and watching him a number of times on PBS I have considered Joel Fuhrman the most ‘authoritative’ expert in nutrition that I know of: He seems to have an innate genius knowledge (which has been acquired via experience as well) of nutrition that is unsurpassed. His knowledge and comprehension of all-things both nutrition and medical seems that much better and more on the ‘genius-level’ than all other nutrition experts that I am aware of.
    The books “The China Study” and “Eat to Live” are something tantamount to the closest thing to a ‘nutrition bible’ that I have ever come across…

    And back then i was thinking if i could go and exercise and diet at the same time. But the problem is im scared if i cant do it and i tried it but it was so hard. For me when you are fat its a leap of faith its either you choose to die eating foods or to be physically and mentally healthy and that take much effort.   • I’ve recently been going through a really tough break-up. Coupled with the pandemic and my eldest son’s birthday and death date. I’ve only been listening for 2 days but yesterday my sister invited me for birthday cake my favorite. When she handed it to me it wasn’t appealing at all. I took the first bite tried to chew and had to spit it out immediately, the sugar was just overwhelming.

  • SAD ratios are misleading. Most of the 30% meat is processed crap. The real ratios are closer to 5% whole plant, 5% real meat, 90% processed. Getting rid of (substituting) the 90% processed is what makes the new diets work, be they vegan or carnivore. Combining fats and carbs probably doesn’t work well, seeing as fat sugar appears to be a highly addictive combo, so choose one or the other. Both choices seem to generate very similar benefits according to annecdotal evidence. ��

  • My experience with your recordings have been great. I have tried 3 and this one is the charm. I don’t have a binge problem or anxiety, or a motivation problem regarding food as I have discovered here.   • I had gastric bypass 8 years ago and lost a lot of weight but the main 2 reasons I had was to lose weight and because I have diabetes type 2. But I started to binge eat and put on about 28 pounds I put this down to not coping with emotional eating, it’s like my brain doesn’t talk to my stomach lol.   • I think this saved me & I don’t say this lightly. I struggle with emotional/binge eating. For the past 10 years my world revolved around food. Trapped by it. Before I listened to this I was ordering fast food every/every other night. I had no control. I wanted to stop but I felt like an addict. Things were falling to pieces. My body suffering. My mental health. I stumbled across this and honestly I’d tried everything else so why not this? I’ve been doing it for 2 weeks now. The biggest relief is that I don’t sit and think about food constantly. I don’t have a constant battle in my head. I haven’t ordered fast food in these weeks and I haven’t binged.   • She should stay 1 year to my country. There are no McDonald’s Starbucks KFC Burger King etc. You rarely find fast food there. I live in another country where you can find these and I’ve only been to McDonald’s 4 times. I eat 5-7 times a month fast food.

I’ve lost almost 30 pounds and I have another 20-25 to go and I obsess about junk food more than ever despite almost never eating it. That says a lot about the addictive qualities of some of these foods.

  • I might not have crazy food habits, binge eat or anything crazy but I realized over the past week, prepping for an upcoming fast, that I clearly have a food addiction. I’m going to cure it through this fast too.

  • Hot cheetos are scarily addictive. I don’t have a weight problem because I try and watch what I eat and I exercise daily…I’m 46 and it gets harder when you get older to stay in shape. But hot cheetos. Omg. I won’t even buy then bc i know how addictive they are. They are like Twisties that have crossed to the dark side and developed a Meth habit. Just say no to hot Cheetos.

  • When this lady says maintain her bodyweight. She’s not mentioning that the majority of that bodyweight is not essential. Its not muscle or bone or veins and brain meat. Its mostly fat which is simply excess energy.

  • I swear, I feel like I have this issue, but I’m not big or anything. I’m a healthy weight. Every time I try to say I have a food addiction, everyone is like “BUt yOuR sLiM” ����‍♀️. I feel like no one gets it. I don’t necessarily think about food 24/7 because I’m busy and occupied most of the time. But when it’s time to eat, I eat SOOO much. Food literally takes up most of my budget. I order UberEats every day, quite literally, even when I have a fridge full of food. The issue isn’t weight for me, but a matter of survival. I cannot survive spending this much money on food. It’s way too much ����.

  • I’m falling asleep faster, staying asleep, and having more deep sleep than I ever have. My appetite is decreased and my mood is improved. I’ve been listening for 3 days and I think this is going to be a life changer.

  • When I was a kid, I would always get jealous of some of my classmates because they always eat mcdonalds for lunch while I got homecooked meals. But now, I’m so glad I got used to homecooked meals rather than fast food. Thanks mom!

  • I’m here late, but I have such a serious food addiction. I’ve been prescibed oxy for my severe chronic pain and I’m not addicted to that, but I can’t stop thinking about food 24/7 and have gained so much weight in the past year that people don’t recognize me in photos. (My photo on here is from way before of course lol) thank you for sharing your story and I’m glad I found your channel❤️❤️

  • Thank you so much for this video. I am 5’5″ and 18 years old…. And I am 265lbs. This is the heaviest I have ever been. For me when I was a child I was a little bigger, but still healthy, but now I see that I have an actual food addiction. I struggle and become out of breath going up 7 steps of stairs. I am 2X and I always eat. I eat because I’m bored, tired, hungry, depressed, angry, anything. And I don’t eat healthy I eat fast food and I noticed now that I eat HUGE portions. So thank you so much for your video because it seems so much easier now that I’m looking at food as a mental thing I feel very encouraged to lose weight!

  • This is amazing. I listened to it last night and for the first time in months I slept the entire night instead of waking up at 3:00 a.m. when I woke up at 8:00 a.m. I felt so relaxed and rested.

  • I fall asleep pretty quickly but I haven’t managed to listening to it all the way through, I keep getting woken up by my dogs or my kids or the headphones go flat

  • Do I have to listen to it all the way through for it to work? My sleep is broken up by little children during the night lol. And I turn it off when they end up climbing into my bed at some point.

  • Does she not do any other dopamine-releasing activities? I never get as excited to eat as she does to eat. Her whole face lights up. I just find other things more rewarding than eating.

  • Please could you explain how can this work if I can’t hear the words? I can only hear S sounds… The talking is completely inaudible. I understand that my subconscious can hear a whisper but there is nothing to hear.

  • It’s definitely her fault. I prefer junk food too, just like most of the other people and yet Im not a fatass. I was a bit overweight for a couple of years eating junk food. Turns out high bp runs in thr family. I’ve been eating low carb diet with calory counting, exercise and lots of protein intake and I lost 7 kgs upto now and will lose another 12. No one can convince me that it’s the food and not her fault. It’s only her fault and as soon as she realizes that she can go without junk food she’ll lose weight. Just read the damn labels.

  • My clothes don’t fit me the same anymore.. I’ve gained close to 20lbs. I’ve tried to get help from my family and friends but no one takes me seriously. I’m praying that God can give me the strength to overcome this.

  • I just found this video. I def have an addiction. When I order food I order 2 meals for MYSELF. I eat at midnight. I’ve been so hard up for something that I have opened cake icing and eaten it. smh

  • Thank you for making this video. You explained it very well. I came searching for videos suspecting that I have a food, sugar & carb addiction. Your descriptions helped me get things very clear in my head. I struggle with cravings. I’m currently using keto to control my eating & sugar addiction. I recently did a 5 day water fast in order to help break my food & sugar addiction. Now I see old tendencies coming back, and cravings even on keto & over eating is coming back. I had initially dedicated myself to 16/8 fasting but have not been doing it. I’m thinking it’s time to fast again in order to heal this. Thanks again for sharing all so clearly. Not a lot of people take food addiction seriously but the way you laid it out explains why it IS an addiction.

  • I listen to this while I work (freelancer with long periods of time alone), layered with soft classical music, and this has worked wonderfully! I also eat low carb, which has already been incredibly helpful to my lifestyle change efforts, but your recordings (this and others) definitely takes the edge off when I have stressful deadlines that used to drive me to snack. And even if it was a low carb-friendly snack-and not too excessive-I simply didn’t need the extra calories or to continue that unnecessary habit. I believe the impact extends to times when I’m not listening, as well, but I’d rather not take chances when possible.:)

  • I really hope you read this first off I want to say that you are very beautiful secondly I want to say that I have lost 70 pounds and now I realize that I’m starting to gain back because of my addiction to food and because of my addiction to binge eating. I have watched so many countless videos and none of them have helped until I came upon this video. My addiction to food is definitely out of boredom. And food has always been there for me I can always count on it. Tomorrow I am restarting my program and I feel like I’m going into this with a clear mind thanks to you. I don’t know why your video clicked with me so much but it was so relatable and I thank you so much for it. Hopefully I can update you in a couple of months with my results.

  • She needs to do keto. It’s legit like the best sugar detox diet you can do and kills the addiction. But you still gotta be committed and don’t cheat.

  • Quarantine weight has finally got to me. Time to end the emotional eating. Thank you for this video. Week one of my journey to get my body back in shape. But if I’m being completely honest, it’s been much longer than 3 months that I’ve had this need I just was ignoring the calling to do something for me to put health as a priority.

  • I agree with healthy eating, but the stat about British children and sugar consumption being linked to violent arrests later is a stretch. Correlation does not equal causation. Did the kids who ate the most sugar also have inattentive parents? Maybe single parent households where it’s easier to throw candy at the kids to pacify them? Maybe little discipline (indicated by high sugar consumption) is also a cause for violent arrests later.

  • My problem is primarily sleeping. This tape has helped with my sleeping. Should I continue with this for my sleeping or is there something that you can recommend that may be even more effective.

  • I’ll be full and still want more food. Like I can’t wait for the next meal and I’ll think about it all day until I get to eat. Most of my pay check goes to food. I went to McDonald’s last night after dinner. I’d already eaten and yet I still went to McDonald’s. I felt high like a drug addict while eating it and then after I felt awful and hated myself. This happens way too often. I was doing so well with my weight loss then for the 4th of July I engorged myself the day of and a few days after with left overs and gained it back.

  • This was a great video. I met a woman on a cruise who told me she was a good addict and as she explained it I was like I am too!!! She attended food addicts anonymous yes that’s a thing. I am taking black seed oil and is really curbing my cravings and I’m finally off the junk food and losing weight!
