None of the settings change the range of a sound or how well you can hear or different ranges. The perks of having night mode or TV is that the ringing effect of flashes and explosions is a bit lower. One thing that is bad about night mode and tv is that the sound gets compressed more meaning that after a while your ears will start to wear down and make it so that your ability to distinguish sounds on different frequencies will become worse.
I mean the HyperX Cloud Alpha is an amazing headset and immersive and the dual chambers are mwah you know. Just saying if you like HyperX this is the best headset

I’m on default settings and my headphone is a really cheap one, around $9. But I can hear footsteps really clearly. When my friend use the same settings and headphone, he can’t hear anything.

Damn this reminds me of what happened to me recently. I had pneumonia for the passed few months and when it was at its peak, I had SO MUCH mucus that it made me dead in my left ear then my right ear. Couldn’t hear shit for a week or so. So weird when I put my headset on. I couldn’t use the Astro modkit cause it already feels like it sucks your brain out.
In Nightmode: If you are shooting all sounds will be quieter (so its harder to hear footsteps)
In Hi-fi: the volume of every sound is normal (so you can hear footsteps) but the gunshoots are quite loud

You can only hear sounds thru windows if the glass is broken. If it is left there it makes hearing thru the window very hard. Barricades on windows only muffle sounds
I’ve actually had this exact thing happen to me before, there was a cut on the inside of my ear and my dumbass thought it would clear up with time. After a few months I ended up getting it checked out, needed eardrops, and it disappeared. It actually is quite scary when it happens.

My headset is closed back type and when I turn on 7.1 features, I can pinpoint where’s the footsteps coming. Maybe someday I’ll try semi close to know how far the differences.
None of the settings change the range of a sound or how well you can hear or different ranges. The perks of having night mode or TV is that the ringing effect of flashes and explosions is a bit lower. One thing that is bad about night mode and tv is that the sound gets compressed more meaning that after a while your ears will start to wear down and make it so that your ability to distinguish sounds on different frequencies will become worse.

I mean, some of the information in the video is a bit misleading. There is no positional audio with an headphone jack. You need a usb headset to have true 7.1 surround sound
