  • Great vid!! You know what could be interesting? A demo on how to do full body, push or pull day on just the cables and throwing in calisthenics during the rest periods to make it a metabolic workout.

    I know there are times I hit the gym and it’s packed and I just want to stay in one place to avoid people or waiting for equipment. You don’t even need more than one cable and 30 minutes.

  • So true! Back in 2010, my then husband smugly said to me “You’ll quit in a couple of months!” One day during a heated argument about my healthy lifestyle he yelled at me “your body is changing”. Now its 2018 and I have added extra gym sessions, over the years I learned how to train better and my physique and strength has improve dramatically. I train like a powerlifter with some additional exercises for aesthetics and conditioning. I am very happy with my training and will not change it for anything/anybody. Even though I am a mature woman going through menopause I have no issues with weight gain or not being able to do things. I plan to add rockclimbing to my regimen. The problem with our society is that most people have no idea about nutrition and training, are lazy AND insecure. Everybody is looking for that magic pill that will melt the kilos off.

  • This is why I secretly workout. I come from a family that isn’t healthy. My mom and dad are fat (not tryna be rude to my parents i love them) my sisters are skinny, no muscle at all. My cousins are all fat and muscleless. Is that even a word lol. I have no friends who loves exercising, for them it’s too ‘boring’.     I have only recently come to realize that my mother is such a person. “You won’t survive on your own”, “Should you rather pick something easier than that high school”, “You won’t get into university anyway, and not into such hard program”, “Do you really think you have the stamina to finish your degree” were said among other things. After hearing this all the way through my life this kind of statements only make me think: “Oh you wait and see.” (moved out of home when 15, graduated that high school, got into that uni program and finished it)

  • I went from 108 to 63 kg and sometimes the feedback from outside is so confusing. First many approve of it but when they see some drastic changes in you they pull back the validation of your path. It is important to have distance to it. I noticed some of them failed at it and dont want to see that you can do it because that means it is their fault. Some see you when you are on your diet and super low engergy after a long day of working and workout and cannot understand why you are doing it.

  • When people refer to their good genes, what we should really consider is their diet. Most Indian cuisine is vegetarian base. The same goes for people in the Mediterranean regions who do not develop HBP and heart conditions like the rest of the West because of the nuts, olives, garlic, olive oil, spinach and everything organic based diet. When you cook, try to introduce cumin, coriander, ginger and the most wonderful of them all turmeric, preferably the organic kind. You’ll be glad you did. Now ditch the empty carbs and everything white flour based that’s once digested turns into sugar, enemy no. 1.

    I am 33 years old as I write this, literate for 28 (25 in English), on the Internet for 21, and as far as I know nobody has ever covered this properly. Now, this might just be my bad luck for not finding it but that is becoming less plausible every day.
    But the closest I’ve gotten to an answer is things like “you have to really want it” or “make a decision to X and stick to it”. That’s as if I asked someone “how do I assemble a PC?” and got the answer “You assemble a PC by putting it together.”

  • No sugar coating it. Finally someone who gives truth instead of trying to make everyone feel good. I do put some tv on but its more of a background sound for me to focus and it works as a timer.
    For me the biggest help was pre packing meals once a week and changing my mental state. I do make a check list and they all need to be done by the end of everyday.
