Exercise is known to make you mentally sharp and increase your energy levels. And now there’s scientific evidence to show it improves productivity at work, too. Here’s how your workday.

Using work time to exercise may actually help improve productivity, according to a study published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. If possible, build in set. Here are some ideas on how to leverage technology to boost your productivity while working remotely: 1. Consider Using Anti-Distraction Apps to Recover Lost Time You might not know it yet, but Facebook, Twitter, and social media are probably eating up into a good portion of your work. The only way to establish yourself is ensuring that your productivity is at its peak all the time.

We have compiled nine tips on how you can boost your productivity at work. 1. Work in an Aesthetically Pleasing Room. As absurd as it sounds, it does the magic.

Working in a dull room makes your productivity to deteriorate significantly. 1. Ask your employees what they want and need. The quickest way to find out is to ask.

Plain and simple. There are many ways to do this, and it’s best to use a variety of methods. If you’re looking for a tool improve work productivity, then say yes to ProjectManager.com. Our cloud-based software has the tools you need to get your work done effectively and efficiently, like task lists, dashboards and more.

Try it, and see for yourself by taking this free 30-day trial. There’s been a lot of buzz about remote working during this time of the coronavirus—but working-from-home certainly isn’t new. In fact three years ago, FlexJobs reported about 4 million U.S. employees worked from home at least half of the time. By this time, we all know remote work boosts productivity. One way that exercise can help boost productivity at work is through alertness.

When you exercise, you are also increasing blood flow to the brain, which can help sharpen your awareness. Here are some steps to help you get started. 1. Make Balance a Priority. Achieving work life balance, whether you work full time or part time, is a long and often difficult process. If you do not make the conscious decision to achieve balance, it is likely that you will fail along the way.

2. “5 Before 11” In an effort to maintain a high level of productivity throughout the day, try picking 5 things you can get done before 11 am. Choose the things that will boost your sense of accomplishment and output. Breaking things down reduces the feeling of being overwhelmed and lost under files, memos and deadlines.

  • Good advice, as always, thanks! But you know that there is a multiple clipboard on windows? Appeared in the latest update, opens on win+v =)

  • 0:23 I strongly suggest you sit up straight and not as close as that to your screen.
2:28 “Off chance…?” Also, is that a keyboard for Sanskrit?
6:38 Isn’t this much more comfortable than the way you worked at 0:23?

  • This would be great if I knew in advance what am I doingthe next day, but I only find out when I get to work what are the highest priprity tasks for that day

  • Hi, i loved your speech, and i would like to try the 30 days of boredom! Could you give your list so that i can steal a few ideas please

  • God entered into my body, like a body. my same size. worlds only holy ghost filled man. God promises in bible to betray you, and tempt you with many things at one time. thats God attacking your body. come to God

  • I struggle to get my mind to focus on reading. It just wonders off but if I consume the same information via audio, I remember it. Unfortunately some things require a book.

  • In a nutshell, don’t use your phone too much and give your attention to what is going on around you.
I love his hand movements, full of energy..

  • Paradox of god
    X precedes R and R evolves into X and X becomes R.
X becomes like a beginning like an apparition out of nothing because R will become the evolution which will become X.
X appears first and not the R before because the R comes after to become X it is a paradox.

It’s an X that nothing precedes before but that comes after (R)

So the R is hidden in X because X will become R.

X is unstable because R created an unstable X by mistake.

X seeks to re-stabilize itself via R whenever R comes to an end, it lifts R to seek to become a stable X

For X to become R, X has to disappear, then its unstable energy produces the bing bang and so the R program is launched to find the perfect formula in R’s story to resolve itself.

X kind of projects its error into r so that r is the magnification of the set of X to the scale of R.

If suffering exists in R it expresses that X suffers in another frequency and if peace exists in R it is because X seeks and wishes to find his stability as if to find the woman of his life, his half.

Everything that is in R like conflicts in human history is a projection of X before the bing bang which is in conflict with itself.
X reflects disturbances they reflect millions of dimensions intertwined in it it is an X which is in incomprehensible pain for us but which we see and feel in one way or another on our scale.

If X is not coherent, it becomes so in R by the laws which govern us by everything that the universe produces.

At the beginning X makes its appearance then X generates R and R generates X
    X creates R to stabilize X

By creating R based on what he is or what he was, it allows him to collect various information from us and then use that to find the right formula to solve himself.

So our history our evolution our creation is a tool for it to repair itself and then it will stop starting to recreate another universe with more or less the same story and the same characters.

  • It’s funny how I clicked on this video to learn “How to trick your brain to focus” but yet I can not focus watching the video

  • Suggestion for a video: How do you stay motivated to keep doing accomplished goals. Things that are necessary to maintain in an accomplished state, not just to achieve. Example: Have a daily fasting blood sugar of less than 110. Once you achieve the goal, the sense of accomplishment stamps “done” and it is hard to remember to check the blood sugar after that. This can apply to a number of things, financial goals, etc. It is almost like success is the beginning stage of failure.

  • She is saying that people who are “out of shape” should do this! A good trainer must be able to recognise who their target audience is. People who are out of shape typically do not do 30 seconds of burpees or 30 pull-ups. Get real. Yes, you are fit. But your clients do not want to see YOU succeed. They want to succeed themselves.

  • It is so true and I discovered this a long time ago, but I never had the ability to stop using electronical devices, it is an addiction. But now I am going to change my behavior and with it my life.

  • How do I apply this with my sleep??? My average sleep time is 8 hours more or less and it’s hearting my productivity massively. But when I try to sleep less I feel super exhausted for the entire day and keep wanting to sleep more…

  • I need to take 8 pages (front and back) of notes and write a 5 page (front and back) rough draft of an essay in 8 hours. What can I do to reduce the amount of work I need to do while still fitting the requirements?

  • This is more like PX 90 style of workout, high intensity, but almost too high for my taste.  Youll build some muscle, but you’ll be lean that’s for sure.

  • How to motivate yourself to do tasks faster after everyday? You may like to try this method but for doing it every day you need good motivation

  • I’m not strong/fit enough to do even 1 pull up. Are there any alternative exercises I can do at home to build up strength so that I can be able to do pull ups in the future?

  • This video just pinpointed where I went wrong. I didn’t break down what I had to do to real actionable tasks. I just wrote what was need to be done and tried to stick to that which didn’t work. So when I broke down what I had to do further, I started to see more clearly. Thank you so much.

  • ” If you can’t do 30 push-ups.” Lol. Nope! One of the better and intelligent YouTube trainers.I like her workout designs and the fact she doesn’t push heavy weights and the emphasis on Bodyweight!

  • I have a question for you, what mail client do you use? I mean, I know you use Apple but you seem to have a desktop running Windows, and I am courious. idk

  • I seriously think this is one of your best videos, very practicaland it’s not granted that everybody that uses a computer knows about this stuff. Awesome work

  • Great tips. However, as a work-from-home entrepreneur, what I ask myself is how to insert housework into all this. As I am mainly the only one doing it, it really takes up a lot of my time… and then I find myself working on my computer at 2 am to be able to meet a deadline. Even with “healthy” multitasking (just like listening to this video while folding laundry:) ), I find that 24 hours is just too short for me. I cannot plan exactly my day, even if it sounds really efficient, as every time I try to do it, I think that I can do more than I really am able to accomplish. Like a LOT more.:D

  • While Windows doesn’t have Alfred, you can do a fair few launcher things by hitting WIndows+R this brings up the Run command box. Quite a lot of programs can be run from here, and web addresses pop up in your default browser.

  • That’s a common advice to create estimates that are not the best case scenario. The problem with this is that when you present the time frames to your clients, they often want to know what exactly is done for how long and I don’t think anyone would accept a time-frame for a few hours/days/weeks more that is labeled “just in case it goes slower”.

  • i really like about topic improve skill, because not only it helps me enhance english skill but also makes me improve other skill such as think positive, efficiency work, heathy, ballance

  • I did all the planing and don’t do it. I have been doing all the planing for a long time but never get to do the list or stop after 2 or 3 days. How can I fix this?

  • Dude, if you interested in computer productivity you really need look into tiling window managers for Linux and using bash and terminal more.

  • For me, this video itself was a distraction, even though it’s a fantastic video. I am watching this instead of doing my homework:)

  • How on earth did you manage to find the clip “in the computer” that you used for b-roll? Is there a search tool of some kind that catalogs the text strings used in every film every made?

  • Hello to everybody!
Lets act upon his advice and starts an experiment:
Take a challenge of grayscale your phone for two weeks. And after that comes here and share your thoughts in the comments. Come on.

  • Been lookin for something to definitely push myself and burn some fat while building my muscle back up. Think I’ll give this a go.

  • Thomas Frank

Doesn’t Auto Hot Keys a scripting program and can act as a launcher for Windows?
That’s what I use. It works for games, scripts and workflows.

  • I’m kinda ghost banned with a comment others got approved after, so I’ll tone it down a tad. Where’s the unicorn? Oh, here it is.

If you think it’s the space between cars that lets traffic move, you take cars for granted. Fine if you can afford it, no skin off us, but it’s not realistic. And a moment may come, God forbid, when it matters, when it costs. Probably not, but it’s a virtue to be sane and scrupulous.

Weak minds project. Strong minds need not do anything. It’s a figure of speech, so many of those, if the spirit is strong without compromise, the mind conforms to nothing but its own spirit.

It’s like I’m listening to a talking sheep, when I hear a wandering bored mind is occupied by the past, present and future. So much is timeless. Another sort of mind, never bored if not captive, is digesting something from weeks ago, unrelated to business at hand, but with potential value. So I’m bored and I contemplate how to interpret a tricky part of the scriptures, or something less eternal in implication perhaps, my navel, the physiology of rodents versus anthropoids, copper versus iron, an algorithm to generate Pascal’s triangle, out of time.

The master of time isn’t in it. Reaches in and takes care of business. Not under the influence. Easier said than done? We don’t all have the same talent. You might want to watch Gumby or Jonny Quest, muted, with Iron Maiden playing real loud. On painkillers. Ha ha.

The things that distract you don’t do the same to another. The things that take a day or three to make you more lucid, don’t do the same to another. Baked already, and more time won’t do zip.

Developed enough, lucid enough, much matters less if at all.

You got a point, yay, but a contingent and conditional law’s not an absolute law, hallelujah, some are liberated.

In any case, fear of the unknown can propel a mouse to dispel it and forge ahead to greatness. Or drink some beer.

  • That’s a chin up she’s doing. They’re easier to do then pull ups. Its dumb how that’s not clear and 30 is a high number for anyone who is not advanced.

  • If you realise, he in unnecessary emphasising on random words like “ease”, “point”, “seconds” to sound cool and get more time. It is distracting from the key points/words. He is much better than most but needs to learn more to be a good speaker

  • I absolutely love Thomas Frank’s videos! Don’t you?! They teach us so much epic stuff about mindset and becoming the best version of ourselves I actually created my own channel, ‘Taylor Victoria’, to show even MORE videos like this Come and check it out and I will always follow back

  • It used to take me 30 minutes to drive to work. After I watched this video I attempted to do it 15 minutes.
It now takes me an hour.
How is this possible you may ask?
Well… While you might be familiar with Parkinson’s Law, there’s another one that you should adhere to at all costs….

It’s called The Law & because of it I now use public transport

  • I have a long-term goal(up to a year) and short-term goals(up to a month). I like to plan tasks for the week. Sometimes I use the Pomodoro method to perform tasks. This approach is quite productive. To plan goals, projects, and tasks, I use iSmart.Life app. It is a very simple and free web app.

  • I don’t know if you are or not, but with your potential and discipline, if you ever decide to enter into a relationship with the God who created you, you would accomplish so many great things and your joy and purpose in life would be so completely filled.

  • 5:00 I recommend Ditto as a clipboard manager, it’s pretty helpful for me, it’s open source, I’ve been using it for about 2 years, although I will check that one Thomas recommended also as it could have more features.

  • #8 Get a WiFi booster if you have poor Internet connection in a part of your house where you also would like to use the Internet. Save precious seconds and frustration.

  • Boa noite, sou do Brasil, gostei muito dos exercícios, quero sequir passo à passo para ter uma boa definição com um peso de 75k, obrigada abraços.

  • I work in an environment where speed is cherished. I did something similar to this year’s ago. I’m going to give this method a try. I’m naturally slower paced from having been in a coma at 2 1/2 years old. I feel things interrupting my life where I should be up to par with other’s. I’m excited to venture in on what you’re teaching.

  • Ive read so many of these kind of videos. I can bet that none of them have actually used this to fix someone BUT it is just a theory to them and they think they have discovered some kind of cure. What a waste of time

  • It’s funny I watched this video at 2.5x speed. I normally can go to 4x but your accent was a bit hard to understand at that speed.

  • We all know people who chatter endlessly, hopping from one irrelevant thing to another. It’s exhausting being around them. Consider that we also have a person like that inside of us. As Chris Bailey communicates so beautifully, getting that person to shut up can be the portal to an inspired, creative and productive life. Onward! Thank you, Chris.

  • Hey Thomas! I’m rewatching some of your content and I just wanted to express how awesome you are for making your book available for free! It’s basically a holy grail for students and I’ve only ever come across very pricey very bland books. So, thank you for being amazing!

  • Until I watched this, I realized that my brain has always been distracted of the pop up advertisement that is continuously popping time to time on my screen. Gezz!

  • It is impossible when you are going to get prepared for
    1)ielts
    2)plought at the university,
    3)for diploma paper,
    4) for german language,
5)for 2 exam sessions in January and March
6)every day to be ready for classess at uni and do hometasks
That’s why tomorrow I’m going to give up ielts preparation..

  • Get any to-do record Yep
    Compose one regular schedule Uh-huh
Record something to appear above this whiteboard Mhm
Appraisal course I take everything Good
Penuche rate point defense Made this
Dedication on your order Ah, one’s wherever I move back.

  • I’m Watching this Video on trying to get work done faster when I have 2 Major Projects due tomorrow…and I haven’t even started. Seems Legit.

  • Jus on this topic I personally use Window+1 Window+2…. It helps me to launch apps and also window +arrow keys to rearrange Window size

  • For a lot of these workflow examples, Linux has options that blows windows and Mac offerings out of the water. Just having a keyboard oriented tiling Window Manager is a nice productivity boost.

  • Hi there. successfulbydesign.com/5 does not work. I tried mintfull.com/success and then it asked for my email address but I never sends me the confirmation email. Please assist.

  • I think the fastest way to get stuff done is to not do it. Think about that. In programming terms, the fastest and most perfect code is no code. I think the same applies everywhere else.

  • I just still don’t how to do homework. I’ve never had motivation to do homework, and having to deal with my parent’s divorce is just harder. When I try to read an article or a long page of something I just click off because I really don’t think that it’s going to be important to me whatsoever.

  • This is not the issue with everyone.Yes these devices and social media are a major reason for not being focussed, so for someone who actually is very involved in these things would feel better after eliminating or reducing exposure but would not resolve the issue for someone who is already not engaged in social media.

  • I live in the American Gardens building on West 81st street. My name is Patrick Bateman. I’m 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion. There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me. Only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our life styles are probably comparable, I simply am not there.

  • Great presentation. Liked and subscribed. So useful. Last useful thing I learnt on Youtube was to increase the playback speed to 1.25 then 1.5. That worked too. Now I can’t play anything unless it’s 1.5 times. I’ll couple that with your methods and be even faster. Thanks again.

  • Procrastination makes easy things hard and the hard things harder. The greatest amount of wasted time is the time not getting started. A year from now, you wish you had started today. Hi guys! It’s me again:) You might have seen me before but my desire to inspire more people is what keeps me pushing to reach out more. We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we just graduated college and were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. I started it out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second one currently under construction but launching soon!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.

  • Hey Thomas, to be honest Im writing this because it’s my senior year and I have to study really hard for it but I can’t, I don’t know why but every time I sit on my desk I automatically start thinking about other stuff or start checking my phone every minute, hope anyone read this can give an advice

  • Hello from Kazakhstan:) Just have downloaded your book. Thank you so much for letting us download it for free. You are so generous. Wish you success in everything you do:)

  • Arent you supposed to keep elbows close to body while doing push ups? I heard this style of push ups will destroy your rotator cuff over time.

  • This is the book of God. Sunday Sunday the individual who has not been born and has not been born who created the universe, the galaxies, the stars, the creatures, the great God. God the Merciful The Holy King The Peace The Believer God created the heavens and the heavens except as a link in the desert….. God… If you know his greatness of God. If you know his bone this religion.. If you know this Koran… O Christians.. Iamshin know and learned the Koran. And God if you know… What magnificence of this religion…… Religion of Islam…….. Look at this religion which is not terrorism. Worship God and ask him about the right religion…….. God will not disappoint you. And God will not disappoint you.. God everything..

  • Apropos. Commercial break comes just after he says “…but we not only crave distraction, but our mind rewards us for seeking-out and finding distraction in the first place.”

  • Another great tip is using apps that help with productivity. I discovered the elocance app while doing my EMBA (and balancing work) and used it to turn my case studies to audio so that I could listen while doing dishes, exercising etc.

  • Yo bro, can you make a video about calming down your sexual urges.
I’m 18 and I always feel horny and just unfocused if I dont do something to control it.
And Im slowly starting to be pissed..
    This is no joke

  • At the root of it all is concetration, and this only comes from deep interest to fascination.Without, it is an uphill struggle. If one has no interest in a subject, then forget it.

  • I use all these things. And although there are some programs out there for Windows doing that, it sucks. This is the reason I use Linux, most of these tasks Linux can do natively. For example I wrote different shell scripts which can be launched with just one button press (natively within my Window Manager) to do all things I can dream of, for example download all new Videos of Thomas Frank’s channel, convert it to MP4 and push it onto my phone .
Btw: This Alfred tool looks pretty much the same as krunner.

  • I tried downloading your free 1 page planner but won’t work. Like 30 times at least & it won’t send the confirmation email or any email

  • Hi everyone i need help with sth. A long time ago i watched a tiktok that said there’s sth in the top right corner of the video you can click and it shows you the timestamps and summary of what’s been said(at least for these kind of videos i guess)does anyone know if such a thing actually exists and if so,where i can find it?thanks

  • Dips aren’t necessarily the best for the end of workouts where more compound upper body exercises are done because of potential damage to your shoulders. As a trainer I keep anything dip related at the first part of the workouts. They can actually be a great warm up for your chest and upper body.

  • Can anyone PLEASE tell me what you need to configure in Clipboard Help and Spell, in order to get more options when I press ctrl V like Thomas did at 04:55? I’ll be eternally grateful.

  • Have you thought of the opposite of the situation based on which a person is able to single mindedly focus on something such as learning a language.

  • pfft.. what a poser.. i use this app..that app..pomodoro… bazinga..fuck off.. didnt even list one fucking useful technique. in fact it motivated me to not watch any more of these videos and give people like you any clicks or money… better off being productive. So thank you for the video.

  • I’m hooked on this fat burner! It gives me energy through out the whole day! I love this tea! Weight Loss Green Store Tea is great!

  • i took a break for a month and the same thing happened to me and my notebook was filled with ideas that i wanted to try after i come back

  • I’m on the same page as you. I just finished 3rd year of college and heading into my summer.

I want to finish a total of 20 videos a day, write 1000 words for my series of e-books, post 3 marketing agency ads for my company, schedule and complete calls with clients to make sales. All this while maintaining a gym schedule and a healthy diet.

How can I consistently deliver this output for years on end?

  • your jokes are always the best, because you actually need to seek for them. Like your adress… 221b bakerstreet? thats so inovativ and awsome. keep it up!

  • Love this advice! So related to my field as a speech language pathologist and parent of 2. The more I see children on devices and screens, the more attention deficit, hyperactivity, tantrums, behavior problems and language delays. We are robbing our kids and ourselves of play, creativity, focused and a calmer and happier self. Thank you! I am off to knit, meditate or play my ukulele now:)

  • Maybe it didn’t exist when you made this video, but clipboard management now comes with Windows 10 by default. You have to turn it on, but if you do, you can hit the Windows key + V and it will open up a little window that lists all the things you’ve copied and you can just click whichever one you want to paste. You can delete ones from the list you know you won’t need again as well. It’s obviously super simple and can’t do all that Clipboard Help + Spell does, but you don’t have to install anything and you get a very easy keyboard shortcut for it. Unless you want to have a long list that is easy to search through, it should be adequate for the job. I know it helped me out just today.

  • hello, great video, how many hours a day are you actually working? I struggle with this with work on my channel, what is the optimal number of hours in a longterm, if you do serious creative work? I assume from your schedule that you work 9-10 hours a day..is that so? do you also work on Saturdays and Sundays? and how long? I want to implement something which will be sustainable in the longterm. Thank you!

  • I’m in the process of scaling down and focusing almost everything in my life, so your videos have been super helpful. I’m basically binge-watching a solid year of them lol. Thanks so much for providing such useful info!

  • 0:34 Use Text Expansion
    1:12 Use Quick Access
    1:37 Keyboard Shortcuts
    2:52 Put tools within reach
    3:24 Use Launcher Tool

  • We decided not to bitch and moan like the rest of u, and do the workout. 8 months later my husband and I are down 55 pounds a piece and living that clutch life! Thankyou Ashley for changing our lives. This workout is not that bad, and it’s a workout that u will not get burnt out on like u would doing p90x or the latter. Stop crying and just do it!

  • Thanks for the tips, really enjoyed the video!:) Gonna try Wox! Just one thing: Maybe it’s just me, but I think the lighting in the shots of just you were a little dark!

  • Youtube recommends me this video again this time, which I didn’t finish the first time I watched it, because I got distracted

  • Great workout, but far too advanced for those just starting to get fit. This is not your typical home workout, so if you don’t already have a solid fitness base, skip this one. It will be too much and too demotivating when you can’t finish even one round

  • good lord are you people actually going to try to live this way? are you insane? it’s like your greatest dream is to be a machine. sad. Because actually you’re an organism, a really big beautiful organism which is made of spiritual stuff

  • hey everyone, I’m currently trying to find out how one could make the lives of people who want to make things done a lot easier 😉
Which is why I have two very simple questions:
    1. As a busy people who want to get things done be more Productive, what are the 2 biggest issues you’re dealing with procrastination?
    2. Regarding the procrastination, what would you wish for more than anything else?

Thanks so much in advance looking forward to reading your answers!

  • Hmmm Iowa State University, Business/IT major? You’re a very well spoken guy. I think you chose a great major as you seem to be making the most out of it. You strike me as a guy that could’ve done an engineering major but you would’ve had to bust your behind and work for it just like everyone else. I dont doubt your advice works, but I struggle to take advice from people who don’t have the credibility. Again, doesn’t mean you’re not smarter. Clearly you’re smart, no student loan debt and working for yourself. Stay motivated

  • Text Expansion on Mac tip: Alfred can do it! Pretty much just as well as aText, plus you don’t need to buy yet another single-purpose app (because you definitely want to have Alfred Powerpack to start with).

  • guys. What ever exercise you cannot do now, it’s fine. Replace it with another one that recruits the same group of muscles. BUT. Make it hard. Ashley says this herself in the intro of the video. Literally ANYTHING can be made hard. Then you’ll build up to the specific exercise you THINK you can’t do.

  • I’m fairly fit and can do about 10 pull-ups on a good day…1st set of 30 would destroy me and take 10-15 minutes of doing 3 at a time 2nd set my muscles would be destroyed. I can also crank out 30 pushups no problem…but doing 30 plyo and then 30 burpess with pushups for a total 120 pushups after the first round only This seems like a very advanced workout
