She Lost 215 Pounds With This Mantra: ‘Weight Loss Isn’t Linear’. by Kim Westerman. July 6, 2017. 46 Comments.

As if being a mother of twins wasn’t hard enough, Roxanne Crozier was finding it harder and harder to make time to take care of herself. At the beginning of last year, she was knee-deep in looking after her 2 year olds and paying less attention to her own health as her habits had slipped. It could be a few pounds or it could be a life-changing experience, but weight loss is something that many people struggle with every day. We’re constantly bombarded with images of perfect bodies and transformations that seem to happen overnight when in reality it takes real time and real work.

But the best plan for View Article The post Mom Loses 215 Pounds By Following This Mantra Every. The Australian actress has lost more than 40 lbs., but previously admitted that she has a bit of work to still do to get down to her goal weight of 165 pounds. View this post on Instagram Woo back. I know that weight loss isn’t linear, but I’m still disappointed. OK, so about a month ago I got on the scale at my bariatric surgeon’s office and weighed in at 277.

I began a 1600 calorie/day limit on MFP and started tracking my food. Starting weight: 283lbs. Current Weight: 198!!

I’ve lost 86 lbs and 40 inches (10″ off my stomach alone!). After 25 years of being on the weight loss roller coaster, I’m finally on the path to get off this ride and I want to share! Feel free to skip the ramble and just go skim the bulleted lists:). To date, I’ve lost 153 pounds I take it day by day.

This has taught me patience and has even taught me to slow down and think on a day-by-day, meal-by-meal basis. I feel for the first time in life like I am searching and the journey is the best part. The main thing I’m trying to find now isn’t weight loss. Lost over 100 pounds in a little over a year.” “Weight loss isn’t linear.

Sometimes you won’t lose anything. and more attractive after using such products. My overarching mantra: A. Then there’s potential inaccuracies in logging food/exercise.

Those reasons and more are why weight loss isn’t linear. Stop thinking about is as your body being stuck. That mindset makes it sound like your weight is out of your control. Weight loss and gain are not linear.

You should see loss over the course of 4-6 weeks if you keep to your plan. As of December 2017, Jewel weighed 310 pounds, so she lost 76 pounds. Her mom weighed 224 pounds, bringing her total weight loss to 80 pounds since her surgery in.

Second place went to Jaime! (I never got a before picture, sorry Jaime) But, here is her “after” picture and let me tell you, she looks amazing!!! Jaime started the competition weighing 234.8 pounds, and she lost 40.2 pounds! In 8 weeks!!!

Her weight loss percentage was 17.1%! Great job Jaime!

What mattered was that she was losing weight at the same measured rate of six pounds a week, plus or minus two pounds, and she would go on losing at a decreasing rate until she was down to one hundred and thirty pounds, plus or minus ten pounds.

  • I am paraplegic and have buy your book in german languge. When I eat only salat, non starchvegetable and carbs like potaties I lost now 4 kg ( around 8 pound). But for me is heavy to eat much 3 times the day, because I can’t walk and used electric wheelchair.
But I am so happy the weight go down…Thanks for the great book. ⚘⚘
Maybe therefore sometime I eat in the evening 3 or 4 pieces chocolate and drink Latte Macchiato with plantbased drink, which have fat. This two thinks are bad…the route is the goal..

  • So weird when he started talking about mate matching, anyways I am bizarre in that way because I’d rather provide for myself than be dependant on some guy. It is not happening

  • Intermittent fasting= not eating less calories but minimize the window where’re you eat. (The calorie part I feel is important bc I don’t want people to think you eat less, you actually sometimes eat more!(

  • NB I healed on a raw food diet (5th year along, experiment seems to be working)
Whole foods plant based only took me so far along in health recovery.

  • Very helpful explanations in this video — especially considering the whole world is increasingly telling us to eat more protein and less carbs. I’ve had people tell me this diet must not be right for me if it’s so hard. Dr. Lisle’s explanation about hiking Kilimanjaro with a sprained ankle is a perfect metaphor. I’m watching this one again and taking notes!

  • 53:19 ego trap and pT work together 55:45 maximun intesnisty of eT occurs at peak compliance to avoid PT. 59:05 problem with aiming for perfection; 1:03…”long term excellence…”…..those who benefit did not comply 100% but 80%

  • Thank you so much Adrienne for sharing your weight lost journey, I remember watching you on Chetah Girls my daughter loved you all. You first 15 are amazing. What a blessing to know you have a close walk with God. Putting your spiritual man first it is a true mind set! My husband like yours is a true blessing as well. He is so supportive of any changes. • I have found that lasers have helped my skin so much. I have mild rosacea and if it were not for modern technology, I’d have a face full of broken blood vessels. I think that men often really do not understand how women feel about these issues (Although that is a separate topic from safety). I know there are some risks, but I’d rather take that small risk than live for the rest of my life with “the human condition”. I mean, I drive a car most days, too. Talk about risk to my person, right? And didn’t the human condition also include high infant mortality and infection? I’m just saying that it is not black and white here. I also fasted at True North for seven days last January. I am normal weight and health, but wanted to try it. It was a great experience.

  • I lost 150 pounds being on a plant based diet and I would still cheat ( Vegan Junk food ) but it’s what I do most of the time which is real plant foods without oil. Dr. Lisle made me feel so proud of myself! 1 out of thousand that blew me away! Trust me I’m not perfect and I know the enemy that’s the difference! I also now have great blood pressure and great cholesterol from almost leaving this world, Vegans Rock!

  • I eat mainly WFPB diet, and as a result dropped from 110 Kg to my current weight of 62 Kg. (dont need or want to loose more. BMI= 21. age 64) I have been that way for 3 years but I occasionally eat a bit of fish or Chicken (maybe once every 3 or 4 months)

All my respect to Dr Lisle for having the courage to admit the we humans were also designed to eat meat. Most Vegans will not even entertain the thought.

Whether we need it or not is a different subject.

    Chapeau sir Chapeau.

  • At 36:15 Dr. Lisle starts a 25 minute explanation why indefinite abstinence from unhealthy food should not be the goal. The goal should be to do an excellent job, whether that is to do “B” level work, or “A-” work. It should not be to do “A+” work. I’ve listened to well over 100 hours of Dr. Lisle, and this explanation of how Self-Esteem, The Pleasure Trap, and the Ego Trap interact with healthy eating is one of his best.

Thank you Chef AJ for helping Dr. Lisle share his work.

  • Our instincts want hypercaloric food, but we live in a food desert. Junk food abounds. We are required to fight our instincts to be healthy in this pseudofood environment. This is absurdity but I do it.

  • LOVED THIS, especially about our genetic instinct to eat rich foods for survival, and his 80% goal for whole, natural diet. Many weight-loss coaches suggest just 1 eat-anything “cheat meal” a week, to avoid feeling totally deprived. (That would be 1 out of 21 meals, or 95% whole, natural meals)
TH A N K S Chef AJ! UR So Awesome!

  • Doesn’t salt sugar and fat appear in nature in the form of fruit? I’m thinking like a fig that has sugar, fat from seeds, and I’m sure it has some natural sodium. I eat watermelon seeds to and I’m sure they have that. Just wondering

  • What I said in an other video: I agree with what you said: do not focus on losing weight, focus on being healthy. And what you’ve shown until now is not healthy physically and, more important, mentally.

PLEASE, just came here to tell everyone not to follow their advice. PLEASE. As a person who’s living with another family member that has a mental eating disorder, this concerns me. This is a type of advice that triggers bad eating habits:
just drink water until you don’t feel hungry anymore (even though your body is telling you to fuel yourself with food). WTF?
“eat healthy, not for pleasure” (EATING HEALTHY CAN BE DELICIOUS!, eating healthy doesn’t mean drinking green juice every morning)
Being afraid of foods like bread is NOT HEALTHY, because then you feel bad about yourself when you do eat it. And you will, because it’s yummy, and nutritious. EAT BREAD, EAT PASTA, and don’t feel bad or ashamed, unless you want to make the first steps into an eating disorder.
And please, STOP glamorizing de diet culture and losing weight at all costs. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL IN ALL SIZES and that’s the real meaning behind LOVING YOURSELF. If you want to lose weight that’s okey, but just ask for PROFESSIONAL ADVICE and GUIDANCE.

  • I really like both you & Dr. Lisle but I am very confused. According to Dr. Brooke Goldner author of “Goodbye Lupus” & most recently “Goodbye Autoimmune Disease”, raw food is the most healing & nutritious food on the planet. She says she has many patients who have been WFPB and have been unable to heal completely and reach optimal health. She goes on to say they all share the same 3 things in common: 1) Not enough raw food specifically greens; 2) Not enough omega 3 fatty acids as found in flax & chia seeds; & 3) Not enough water. Once all of these things are increased (in some cases all cooked food is removed) Dr. Goldner has observed healing in her patients. So when I hear Dr. Lisle say raw food is not the healthiest and that cooked food is just as nutritious I’m very confused. This goes against Dr. Goldner’s observations in her patients (and herself as she was once a patient), of which there are many she has helped including some WFPB doctors. I would love to know your thoughts on this. Thank you again Chef AJ for all you do to help people reach their optimum health.

  • thank you for this Chef AJ and Dr. Lisle, this has been very helpful. The part about being hyper vigilante nutcase who still has a difficult time with the WFPB way of eating/energizing ourselves and the weight loss issue. I love eating clean, as it were, and yet I notice that even at 183 (at 5’5″) with lots of room to lose, I only lose weight (right now) when I manage portions to be small (think Rice Diet Report/Rice Diet Solution portion sizes). It truly helps to hear that eating in the healthy WFPB appropriate portions are against our innate evolutionary drive. It helps me to stick to this path, even with slow weight loss.

  • Hi Chef AJ, I just wanted to let you know that I have double checked and this video is indeed a repost of a previous video you have released on your YouTube channel on January 5, 2019 with the title “The Pleasure Trap vs The Ego Trap”:

  • Thank you Chef AJ for taking the time to post this, and for Dr. Lisle giving his permission. I would like to know the difference between your two programs, UWL and FitFabulousoverForty. Thank you

  • Look up intermitent fasting, cut the nuts, limit seeds….don’t eat ick…follow basically Dr. McDougall diet. Cut out salt, sugar, oil, alchohol, most flour. Be vegan take Vit B12, vegan Omega 3s and learn to be a creative cook. The end

  • I feel like i have listened to this one already but i could listen to Dr. Lisle all day Im strugging with losing 15 lbs and i think its the nuts because im eating very very clean. Thank you AJ

  • That’s so interesting what he says about raw food lifestyle and too thin and side effects etc… when I was low-fat starch based (I lived on rice & potato with sides of steamed veggies and raw fruits ) and I was my smallest ever size 0 & Skipped lots of mensural periods. I was a stick. Years later, for digestive issues, I switched over to a raw food diet, no more starches, still low fat & I went up a few sizes (size 4-6) and gained about 10-15 lbs. All raw food, no oils nor nuts/seeds. Also started to have regular mensural cycle. So ‍♀️

  • Thank you so much for this advice. I have had no support throughout my weight loss journey & really welcome your help here. I am yo-yo ing with the last 10 pounds: I get close then slip a bit, then go at it again. I need to stop worrying about it. I am healthier & fitter than ever in my life.

  • I love this video! This is the first non workout video I’m watching of yours. I’m not so much trying to lose weight, but we healthier (which will cause the bit of weight loss I do want)

I do need to start thinking of food as fuel. I’ll even take junk food(sometimes even cereal like fruutloops or cookies!) on my long hikes which is extremely pointless haha
I’ve been working on eliminating chips and continuing with my extremely limited soda intake

  • Do Asian ppl eat a lot of soy? They are pretty healthy men and women overall. I do enjoy and appreciate what I’m learning from your videos. I just take what works for me.

  • All of the women in my family has hippo, so I grew up eating no soy. My parents would put soy as an allergies. When I went to college I strayed off my normal eating habits because I was poor. I gained a lot of weight and fast. I have been experimenting a little. I have noticed that going soy free again does help with the side effects, but I fail sometimes. I lost 6 pounds on the first month of being gluten-free. Thank you for sharing, this is helpful.

  • Finally someone who talks sense. I’ve been saying this stuff for year. And free radicals are also at the source of all life-threatening illnesses such as cancer.

  • Sugars cut acid in tomatoes. I’d like to learn more about soy because tons of asians eat soy and arent fat. Plus there are vegans that eat soy that are thin. I understand that soy does interact with hypothyroidism. But it would be informative

  • thanks for the tips! i’m starting a diet to help me lose weight along with a work-out regimen. Sometimes I run out of ideas on what to eat so listening to your videos is helping.

  • You’re welcome:)

    1 foods without nutritional value
    2 deep fried foods
    3 gmo-soy products
    4 meat/dairy with added hormones
    5 added sugars

  • I hit a plateau after losing 37 pounds and now I’m back to losing a pound a day after finding this keto pill on

  • You use a lot of terminology like inflammation, free radicals, and antioxidants….Is there a way that I can email you directly or something being a new viewer with Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism? I know I may be able to find a Conact Page on a website, but I worry I wont get you personally because I have been burned in the past by pages like this.

  • You had me until you mentioned no added hormones in meat & dairy. All animals naturally have hormones so when you consume animal products you will always get their hormones. Also dairy is full of fat, hormones, blood, puss, feces, & very many unnecessary ingredients. If you switch to a Plant-based milk & cheese you don’t have to worry about any unwanted ingredients. & it’s actually nutritious for you.

  • Sorry Sis, you can’t target exercise.
Cardio will help to shed fat. Weight training will help to shape your body. Do a bit of both

  • Great improvements! check It’s cheaper than amazon! idk if they have that protein powder but it’s worth checking out. Going trough primal potential’s url gives you an extra 25% off and 1 month free membership.

  • I had hypothyroidism. I did only two things: 1) Gave up dairy and drastically reduced meat intake and 2) drank a concoction of dry coriander seeds soaked overnight in warm water first thing in the morning. Less than 2months later, I no longer have the problem

  • Just found you and enjoyed this video. Will subscribe for more! I’m interested to know if you also cut out flour and refined grains. I eliminated flour and white rice, and also sugar a year ago and feel so much better!

  • I swapped my tequila sunrises with tequila sodas with limes in it! I wanted to continue drinking my tequila with something more refreshing and not as sugary. Everyone thinks I’m so weird and I didn’t know anyone else actually drank it!

  • I am 61 yrs old and have hypothyroidism like yourself. I am very excited i found your site. I love your jorney. I recently went meat and dairy and sugar free. I lost 13lbs. My doctor was amazed. I added yoga and 30 mins treadmill and biking. I am excited to continue. I have been looking for inspiration and i think you are going to hekp me

  • Great informative video:) I’m curious when you might choose your whole milk over the almond milk? I noticed in other videos you have almond milk in your coffee. What’s your go to use for whole milk?:)

  • LOL! Agree with Dr. Lisle, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every so often! As for me, I’d rather be single, celibate, penniless and living at the Y than with the wrong person (already have that t-shirt). So grateful for Chef AJ sharing these great videos, especially from Dr Lisle; they’ve been life-changing for me! Thanks so much!!

  • All milk is full of hormones, added or not, because it’s meant to give nutrients to baby cows. Nobody needs milk past the infant stage, human or non-human. I’m not a vegan, I’m just stating the facts!!! Meat on the other hand is often full of hormones in order for factory farmers to raise the biggest animals possible and therefore make the most money.

  • Milk does NOT have added hormones whether it’s conventional, grass fed, organic, or what ever, they are all tested THE SAME. Your misinformation is astounding.

  • Oh man, I am hypo. I drink soy milk with my protein powder bc where I am really doesn’t have many options when I want milk with it I didn’t even think to correlate the two… guess I’ll suck it up and just drink it with water till I have more options

  • What about eating oatmeal, as in overnight oats? That has become my breakfast. I do use almond milk. Am hyperthyroid, among other things.

  • tomato sauce typically has sugar to balance the flavor and cut the bitterness of the tomatoes. it’s not just added for the heck of it.

  • Could you link a source on the soy thing? I’ve seen plenty of research saying it’s a myth that it’s even possible for us to consume enough soy for it to be harmful. I’ve never seen anything to back up that it’s true…?

  • I’m not going to cut out sugar but I have been trying to be more conscious of it. I’ve switched from a 14g sugar protein bar to a 5g one that also has more protein and started buying plain yogurt and adding only a small amount of raw honey same with oatmeal. But you know if I want a cookie I’ll eat one to me its not about cutting all sugar out like some evil thing its about being conscious of it daily so you can have it when you REALLY want and enjoy it instead of in stuff where there’s no need for it.

  • Just curious, I love your work out videos and I’m not trying to be anything at all. Why do you “not believe” in a vegan diet? I understand it might not work for you, especially because some people have healthy concerns, but it is certainly not an unhealthy lifestyle. Many people are vegan because of environmental sustainability as well, not just because they don’t want to eat meat. We simply can not sustain meat in our diets the way we currently are. I encourage you to look up reasons why you should stop eating red meat and dairy, and to get a better understanding of agricultural practices and how they harm the environment, if you don’t already.:)

  • Here’s a lesson on agriculture: there’s literally no “hormone free” meat. Every animal has them and you can’t avoid it. If your paying extra for “hormone free” poultry or pork, then stop, because the FDA prohibits added hormones. Hormones are sometimes added to dairy cows however to stimulate milk production.

  • Coconut oil is actually not good for you to ingest on a daily, it is solid at room temperature and is a saturated fat! Definitely needs to be consumed in small amounts or should be avoided all together. On the other hand, avocado oils and olive oils contain healthy fats!

  • Great video. I cut out all dairy and it seriously contributes to my weight loss and maintenance. Dairy milk has one purpose… make baby cows put on weight and grow fast. Think about it. Organic almond milk is a great alternative and cheese you won’t miss after you give it up for several weeks.

  • Sugar is added to tomato based EVERYTHING for a GOOD reason, they are very acidic so sugar is added to cut the acidic taste, it’s a good chemistry thing. Not just unnecessary sugar. Like adding salt and pepper. It has a purpose.

  • What do you recommend for vegetarians? I eat soy burgers etc because I don’t eat meat so a lot of the vegetarian options have soy.

  • Just a side comment on the “why would they even put sugar in pasta sauce?”. My mom always put just a pinch of sugar while cooking tomato sauce, and apparently she did it to counteract the natural acidity of the tomatoes. This doesn’t argue what you were saying which it is undeniable there’s tons of sugar where there shouldn’t, just thought it was a curious fact on the specific issue of the pasta sauce XD

  • U being grossly skinny is not cute. Especially for woman. As woman we naturally hold on to fat for birthing a baby. So teaching woman to be super skinny is wrong.

  • My girl used naturekindness .com for sometime and it really helped her lose some inches. She also used to run every morning for 30-40mins. Never seen her being so confident. Really proud of her.

  • Wait..i just watched Dr. Oz in a previous video where he told the sugar eater to warm the oats with banana. Water etc. Dr Oz youre looking confused when this Dr. Said eat carbs cold??? What???? Which ones Drs.

  • Their meals were all very low calorie.. so basically intermittent fast with a calorie restricted diet who would have thought!:p

  • Unfortunately, I can see this that we need to add in school science subjects the basic understanding of our eating habits and nutrition to get used our kids to healthy life style eating. We can’t ask them to eat healthy and schools are providing unhealthy food and stuff as sweets, chocolate, chips, etc..

  • I’ve lost about 50 pounds while tri-aining. For me, the MOST important part has been planning my food out the day before and ACCURATELY weighing and measuring everything I eat. Every. Thing. It’s a royal pain in the rear and it takes a long time at first, but it really gets easier and faster. It’s second nature now, and it honestly feels strange to eat something without weighing it now.

Also, at a moderate deficit of 500-1000 calories per day, I think it’s more important (and simpler) to be consistent than to bounce up and down in intake. My understanding is that you won’t damage your metabolism unless you severely cut calories down below your BMR. You’ll have to adjust intake as you lose, since when you weigh less, you burn less. But that’s not metabolic damage; that’s just science.:-)

  • You should do a speed bag video I think its the best neutral rocky style work out.. maybe start out with some eye of the tiger skipping:)

  • How in the actual F**K are these guys doctors?! Maybe they just play one on TV??? Many of the things they talk about is backed by science, but this whole notion of “WHEN” is bogus! It may have a small effect of hormones and such, but it is NOT a magic wand. Shows like this is why America is so fat!

  • hello my name is Bunga from Indonesia.

  • I work 3rd shift and my lunch break is at 3:00am I can’t help eating that late at night because I can’t eat again until after 8:00am breakfast

  • Slow and steady wins the race!!!! People always look for the “quick fix” when losing weight but losing 1-2lb a week will not make you feel hungry on a day to day basis. Crash dieting will get you lighter quicker but will also hit your power on the bike and leave you with less energy to train.

  • I love how you turned a stressful situation into something that made you a better version of you. My love and respect goes out to you

  • My biggest issue is chips! And I’m waayyyyy too lazy to bake my own kale chips and they always come out soggy. Any store bought alternative people know of that will give me my spicy chip fix but it’s healthy??

  • In the first few months when you lost the majority of your weight, can you be more specific on the exercises you did that helped you to lose that weight? Like I know you said you used the elliptical for 30 ish min 6x a week, but what machines/strength training/circuits did you do in addition to that? Thanks!:)

  • Thank you I’m gonna try it thanks cause I wanna lose weight because I’m over weight for my age and its almost summer vacation so I wanna look good for my new grade

  • I hate it when people ask me to subscribe right off the bat like dang give me a minute to breath. I don’t even know if I like you yet

  • Great vid! I’m losing weight now. I would suggest that people with issues have them thyroid checked and all of your levels. Also drinking water is important

  • Adrienne thank you so much for the video, you said something about friends that I just needed to hear. Also please don’t listen to those horrible comments because my daughter and I have always admired your appearance, you are gorgeous.

  • Yep, that’s what Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount. Show your breasts and wear tons of makeup to entice boys and men. Good job Christian Lady!!!

  • I love ur videos, but. You’re not in ur teen anymore. How do you manage to eat 4000 calories and maintain your weight unless you train like an Olympic athlete almost as much as 4 hours of training a day? Also, how do you even eat 4000 calories a day? Do you eat two McDonald combos three times a day?.. That itself seems like a workout for me. Plus, unless someone is addicted to food, why would you even count the calories and eat that much lol? Are you still growing by any chance? This whole ” you need to eat around 3500 calories a day” in order to lose or maintain your weight thing is totally wrong. Biologically speaking, we’re not meant to eat a set amount of calories everyday. Were meant to eat when we are hungry, and I highly doubt that staying active whether through swimming or biking (unless you spend the whole day doing these) will make you eat 4000 calories ”everyday”. Plus, everyone processes certain nutrients differently than others. It’s not just about the quality of nutrients. Some people might gain 5 lbs of fat from eating 30 slices of bread some people might gain 2 lbs. People have different food sensitivities to certain food.

  • My friends all follow the “fetching tuti space” (Google it) and they have shed between 9 and 16 pounds each so far. After hearing about their results, I decided to research this plan on google for myself, and I lost pounds myself as soon as I started following the “fetching tuti space”.

  • For those of us that work just eat fruit in the day and a cooked meal at night. Make sure the cooked meal contains lots of greens and cauliflower. Bananas are a great filler for you if you are hungry. I stuff my face with bananas and am carbed up to the hilt. I have lost 62 pounds in 3 months with very little exercise and am never hungry. Don’t count your calories, make your calories count. Don’t eat white foods except for cauliflower. that means no sugar, white rice, bread, eggs and dairy. Remember fruits and berries are natures candy/sweets.

DO NOT FAST! FOOD IS FUEL. Once you realise that your taste buds are secondary and your well being is primary then you can make the step. Do not starve yourself as your body will go into survival mode and store fat. Drink more fluids, sleep a little more and the weight will drop off you.

  • One thing I have found when training hard is that my weight spikes from time to time due to my body making repairs to my muscles, etc. I find when my muscles are sore, my weight spikes for a few days then drops back down. From my research, I figured out it was due to all the stuff my body creates to repair the microtears in my muscles. (My bad memory means I can’t remember what exactly that stuff is.) I try to drink a lot of water to flush out as many toxins as I can and I usually see a weight drop after my muscles stop hurting. I was thinking maybe you could look into this and do a video about it? Sometimes it gets really frustrating for people to work out hard and see the scale go up in response. Don’t give up, it will go back down!

  • more fitness videos i just started working out and eating better and i legit took notes on this video because dieting is really hard for me

  • Sometimes when I can eat healthy I chose to do that but when I can’t I try to eat less…is That ok? I mean I consider the total amount of calorie…but sometimes think I’m never going to church a thing when I eat unhealthy

  • I eat Oreida or Nathans crinkle cut baked fries. Taste great, low fat less than 20 gr. of carbs per serving and 90 to 100 calories per serving of about 15 fries.

  • You look healthy before and after but you can tell in the after how much building muscle can lean you out! I love watching videos like this

  • Adrienne is the greatest singer artist ever. What the hell?? Get out there and show the world what we are missing. What a great awakening on the mask. I was freaking blown away!!!

  • Omg! You inspired me:) just started three days ago on my fitness journey and I’ve found it difficult to keep motivated. But to see your results and how happy this made you. It is definitely inspiring to me. Thanks a lot!

  • I like that she has to say the same exact thing 5 times over in 5 different ways before she can move on. Still never got to the point. Best 12 minutes of my life. Thanks

  • Adrienne “l Love you” THANK YOU for your wisdom Your Positivity is so wholesome n fresh… gets me excited about my Life! THANK YOU for paving the way and reminding me to appreciate LIFE and to put GOD first in everything l do! THANK YOU for inspiring me! You Look amazing and so does israel. ONE LOVE xx xx

  • So much misinformation about how fat loss works. It’s about insulin and nutrients. Calories in vs calories out is overly simplified. It’s a lot more. Fix the nutrition, and pay attention to the actual micro nutrients. Shitty foods don’t provide enough nutrition which leave you hungry, shitty foods contain too much sugar or chemicals that may be low in calories, but trigger hunger hormones.
Use time restricted eating, and cut the simple carbs like bread and sugars. Allow the body time to rest and recover and that includes the endocrine system. Complex carbs are actually good such as steel cut oatmeal and a well timed banana or other whole fruit with a protein following a hard on long workout..
I lost 65 lbs 225-158 lbs in 5 months last year. Maintaining at 165 ish but with more strength now. Yes, power takes a hit for awhile, but it comes back even better. I am 54 and going back 4 years of power data, other that my 5 second peak power, best 1 min to 2 hour best power have been in the last 2 months. FTP is 15% higher than it was exactly a year ago.
Look up insulin resistance and go from there.

  • Love watching all things Adrienne. I’m also 4 11 and during these quarantine months and even though I never ate out at the fast foods open.. I gained more weight than ever.. you can’t tell but I know it’s there because it all goes to my face and of course stomach atea. Ppl say well after 4 kids you still look amazing but I dint feel amazing and that’s what I wAnt to feel healthy not feel crappy. I have never had to work out in my life so maybe I need to in order to tone. My goal is to lose fat not weight necessarily so this helps…

  • This is very helpful!! I have watched sooo many weight loss videos and this one really helped! I love you so much and you look great:)

  • I had observed how carbohydrates were connected to weight gain and also generally to steer clear of carbs, on the contrary had in no way never ever viewed using them to lose excess weight. The number one idea behind the 4 cycle fat loss strategy would be to train your system to burn fat for fuel as opposed to carbohydrates. It’s founded on scientific research into the higher than average carb eating habits of the Japanese combined with their impressive long life expectancy. The investigation would suggest that it’s their substantial carb-cycling eating habits technique that can help to continue being healthier into old age with a low body mass index (reduced incidence of overweight).Read more here

  • Great video… I don’t count calories and probably eat more calories than I need but my body fat is less than 10%. If you only focus on calories then you can put yourself into an unhealthy nutritional deficit. Eliminate sugars, processed foods, and sugary drinks like juice, soda, and alcohol. Instead eat a lot of vegetables and healthy fats and you can never count calories again. Also, note that you also need to eat a lot of calories when you exercise/train a lot to make sure you don’t deplete your adrenal system.

  • I’m finding the nutrition thing harder than the training. I have switched to oatmeal with nuts and fruit for breakfast. At least I’m not hungry one hour afterwards anymore. Got lunch to tackle next……
I also find that I drink way less beer when I train. It’s weird. I just don’t feel like drinking.

  • Happy to say that I lost 19 pounds so far this month thanks to a little help from the keto pill I found on

  • i’ve never done CrossFit but i like their food pyramid: eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, few starches, no sugar. my hunger goes down when i do it. just reducing refined/processed carbs and eating whole/natural foods makes a big difference.

  • Hi Taren, just out of curiosity. What’s your height? You’d mentioned that your “resting” weight is approximately 160 lbs and you’ve gotten down to 152 for races. I’m 5’9″ and I’m usually around 167 to 170, but I feel like 155-160 might be more appropriate. However, it’s super hard for me to get down to that weight and stay there.

So I’m wondering how tall you are, because if we’re the same height, then that’s probably where I should be as well (obviously).

  • Good video, it can be a struggle for many people to control weight. I have been fighting my weight for years even with doing triathlon.

  • started this year atb190lb and down to 170lb now. Used the lose it app to track food and exercise. With the triathlon training I find that if I want to eat some chocolate or have a beer then I just do a bit of a longer bike or run. doesn’t feel like dieting then.

  • You need pistol tattoos on each each lower leg, pointed towards the ground, so you can imagine them going of with every peddle, every stride… NTK will like them:)

  • Great video! A free app called MyFitnessPal really helped me start losing weight. I was able to easily set my goal weight, track all the food I ate, and see where I needed to cut back. It also let me input exercise, save meals I ate frequently, and track my macros later on. I was also able to track my weight loss and see how far I’d gotten. If you like the numbers side or just need an easy way to figure out how much you should be eating, I would highly recommend it. I mainly used it because I didn’t know what a good amount of food was to reach my goals.

  • You didn’t mention anything about the fact that when you workout (especially if you are just starting out) you might gain some weight from building new muscle. I actually found that my weight stayed pretty much the same over 4 months of training, but my legs became like rocks and my arms gradually got more firm as I upped my swim training. I was doing a phase 2 south beach diet until my nutrition needs from working out so much required me to start eating more carbs.

  • Yes B***. I haven’t followed you before, but I did just watch a reaction video to this vid of yours. And I’m like… really disappointed with how they trashed your methods. I think people are too weak, are too scared and careful to go out and get what they want. You did it girl. And honestly, everytime I want to firm up or lose some pounds, this is the type of shifting and sacrificing I do. It works! Everytime, it works. I’ve been vegan 7 years now, and sometimes I slip into vegan junk food, and I pick myself up everytime by getting rid of the junk, focusing on my goals, finding workouts that make my body happy, and finding foods that I love and that my body loves. Like… f** the losers trying to bash you and fool people into thinking weightloss has to be slow and easy. Fuck honestly, I lost so much weight when I started intermittent fasting… go hard. Hardcore Marine Corps.

  • My best friend eats on a small plate or saucer, then when she’s satisfied she pours water on the remaining food (small amount of whats left) so she doesn’t over eat. She’s kept her weight off for years!!

  • 1) is the black and white photo in your podcast room Winnipeg? 2) you need to repaint your podcast room, not a happy color. I like your old office:) keep training and doing your youtube vlogs:)

  • I dropped 50 lbs two years ago and with that extra energy it caused, I took up triathlon. It was a life changing time period. For me, I needed a big catalyst. I went from gross to fat. So shocking the system was exactly what I needed. I lost about 1lb/day for the first 30 days and the remaining 20 lbs came over 45 days.

I needed a structured cleanse-then-diet program to teach me nutritional elements that fostered good habits.

    All totally worth it.

  • I just found this channel yesterday and I’ve been watching everything!! Thank you so much for this video. Thyroid problems run in my family snd I’ve just recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and this video was very informative.

  • dinner for breakfast, gross! sounds like an infomercial. i’ve never watched a full episode of dr. oz. is he legit? this all sounds so fake.

  • My best friend recommended the keto pill she saw on and so far I’m down 9 pounds in 10 days without changing anything

  • Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s, “the salad is the main meal” works to lean out. So does weight training. Been at it for 44 yrs & it is SUPER effective. I changed my diet to plant based & I can keep my weight stable & I feel incredible. It must be the diet.

  • I watched this yesterday at the gym after running two miles. I looked at my bf and said “Adrienne said if I don’t don’t wanna give it up then I don’t want it bad enough”. He said “Ik she was my fav” thanks. Adrienne for being so real. I needed to hear tht.

  • Its a miracle that I am alive today. I encounter HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS (HSV1/2) for good four (4) years, six (6) months and twelve (12) day with my calculations, before I meet the great Dr. Abumere. I am Tina Richard from Fresno California, united state of America and I was affected with herpes virus.Herpes is a viral infection cause by the Herpes simplex virus, marked by painful, watery blister in the skin or mucous membrane or on the genitals. This was what I suffered for good four years. I have visited CVS Pharmacy in Fresno for treatment but no improvement. I meet Dr.Abumere online while I was searching for herpes cure I read a testimony about his work. I give a try that now becomes a testimony in my life. I contacted Dr.Abumere on Email: [email protected] or WhatsApp: +2349021975055

  • Hey A! Love your channel you’re such an inspiration! You said that do first 15 in the morning, Read, write & pray. What do you write in your journal? I would love to start this in my routine as well. Also you look great! Besos Stay blessed

  • Thank you so much for this information . I know this video is about weight lost but can you pllleaaasse give the details on your hair, it’s sooooo beautiful

  • We’re the same height & you look great! When I first lost weight I was around that same goal weight 105-110 but now I’m 125 with muscle mass. I still get discouraged though.

  • Hey mate! Firstly, I really like your videoit’s got a different twist on it but is simplistic and above all, enjoyable to watch and motivating. However, I disagree with the whole calorific calculator thing. Apps like MyFitnessPal are really good, I won’t lie, as they are a highly accountable and easy way to track what’s going in vs what’s going out (especially linked with Training Peaks). Online calculators though I don’t think should be a go-to, merely because for every single person weight loss will be different, varying on things like age, activity levels/intensitys/durations, work, stresses and environments, just to name a few. I beleive the best way for HEALTHY weight loss is by taking a controlled and disciplined approach to eating, and by trial and error figuring out what works and what doesn’t for your body and activity levels. It takes time, and isn’t the best short term approach, but in the long run I find it works really well. I used this approach and now the whole “controlled eating” thing doesn’t feel like a task!

  • I don’t understand why people body shame so much. You’re 4’11 and that’s really short…and ugly. Why is it that people don’t « short shame »? I mean, a fat person can become thin but a short person can’t become tall.

  • I love your work out clothes and your eyebrows I just stated my own weightloss journey and I’ve started a Youtube to keep myself accountable. I really enjoyed your video and it inspired me.

  • My girl used naturekindness .com for sometime and it really helped her lose some inches. She also used to run every morning for 30-40mins. Never seen her being so confident. Really proud of her.

  • I’m not sure about how much weight i actually lost but i do know that i lost it. 2 years ago outta the blue i started to do a little work out and the next thing i knew i was whering jeans that i couldn’t get over my thoughs and i still rocking those jeans. Now this year i notice i lost more weight because the boxer shorts i love to lounge around the house in we’re literally falling of me. So by me working out, going for walks and going up & down stairs i just knew that i was losing weight.

  • U look fabulous. I’ve definitely been eating different with cucumber water it feels smooth going down. I’ve given up chocolate. I have been eating gornola and vanilla etc.

  • Me encanta tu contenido! Gracias❤️❤️

  • Roll on large exercise ball while watching tv..push back and forth with bottom…I did that for a month I grew a shelf my mid lower back was so nice

  • I just have to say, from the first song you sang on the masked singer, I was absolutely certain you were the Flamingo. Same with Raven and Black Widow, I was 100% certain of who was under those masks

  • Thank you so much for your wisdom…the 1st 15: pray, write and open the word, green popcorn, get your stamina up, 8 fit app, no eating out, lemon water, steam vegetable, cut out who does not support you and take pics to watch the transformation….i am crying right now…thank you…you look beautiful…please keep sharing your knowledge and wisdom….

  • Any one tested out the Custokebon Secrets (search on google)? I have noticed several amazing things about this popular weight loss methods.

  • Its surprising how people have not heard of naturekindness .com Many of my friends have had a good result using them. Also, they used to do cardio 3 times a week + a good diet.

  • 29:18 “eat a diet consistent with man’s natural history..”; ” not supposed to be able to comply with the TN diet..”…”triple stimulation”

  • My girl used for sometime and it really helped her lose some inches. She also used to run every morning for 30-40mins. Never seen her being so confident. Really proud of her.

  • Its surprising how people have not heard of naturekindness .com Many of my friends have had a good result using them. Also, they used to do cardio 3 times a week + a good diet.

  • ALL carbs turn to sugar which increases insulin and basically turns the sugar into fat, no matter what time of day you eat them. Also, everyone’s metabolism is different. For someone who is insulin resistant, they would need to cut carbs until their body gets into ketosis and resets. One thing they have right is the resistant starch when cold. But, one diet does not fit all here.

  • has helped my friend so much with his weight loss. He also used to workout 3-4 days a week and follow lean diet. I have never seen him so happy and confident.

  • My girl used for sometime and it really helped her lose some inches. She also used to run every morning for 30-40mins. Never seen her being so confident. Really proud of her.

  • Hello there, I want to know if Custokebon Secrets, will really work for me? I see many people keep on speaking about this popular fat burn method.

  • I’m mad, not because of what you are saying about your experience, which is totally fine if you’re happy with that kind of lifestyle. I’m mad because you say some things that are triggering for more than half of your subscribers and viewers and as an influencer you should be more careful and gentle with other people’s health before giving advice, as you’re not a registered dietitian. You should be sharing only your personal experience.
I think that it’s wrong to tell people on a platform as big as youtube, that friends are not friends for encouraging them to enjoy their food, I get your point but imagine another situation. Tell a 14 year old who’s insecure with her/his body and might be experiencing early sings of an eating disorder, to cut out their friends because they want them have food with them. They might be cutting out on food because people like you who are making them feel like being thin or “socially acceptable” is the only way to live, or at least yours. Tell your 14 year old to not eat a piece of bread or a pasta dish or remember when somebody told you that. It really hurts. It’s so irresponsable as an actress in movies as you might be the reference to many teenagers. Please stop sharing this type of content on which you give advice to people, just keep in mind that your viewers might not be mentally healthy which it’s mas important as physical health.
I know that your intention was good and you’re sharing what worked for you and you think could work for other people but be mindful about the current social situation.
Thank you and I hope you understand my point of view.

  • I agree eat a later breakfast I say around 10am-12pm

Light breakfast but very nutritional breakfast. Lunch go crazy. Dinner light; the key is before 7-8

  • The fact that someone I admired so much is giving such problematic advice to such a huge platform makes me want to throw up. Get help, Adrienne. Stop punishing your body and stop telling people to punish theirs.

  • watts/kg means nothing on the flats on the bike. your drag coefficient/watts dictates speed on the flat while watts/kg does when it’s not flat. the gradient dictates the importance of watts/kg, and speed does for watts/drag.

  • Thank u for your story. I feel so encourage and ready to go, your words was that final push I needed, because I had been thinking about it and most of Why u started was what I recently said to myself. I realize my health is very important. By the way u look great before and great still never allow other people words get to u. I know u dont anymore but we still all have those days. Thanks again &God Bless u.

  • Hey I loved your video really great information. I found a great choice for fast weight loss and it really worked on my stubborn belly fat LOL, just wanted to share just in case you’re interested @t

  • When it comes to eating healthy, you must try not to fall victim to modern day fad diet plans. Extreme diet plans are a risk for your health, especially ones that seriously limit your everyday nutritional intake. While they may induce quick weight loss, these kinds of diets are never a long-term solution for your waistline. You should check out Custokebon Secrets on google search engine as it is not just another fad diet where you starve yourself.

  • Do anybody know about Custokebon Secrets? Does it really work? I hear many people lost their fat with this popular fat burn methods.

  • Wow, you look great! It really inspired me to get on it. I’ve been using this program but am slacking off. In watching your video it made me realize I CAN do this. Thank you!

  • I get bloaty as well my fasting I eat after 5 and I’m.still alive and well and the weight falls off and I dont even faint my body likes the break

  • “I wanna be healthy”
Is chugging a 1.5l water bottle when your body’s telling you that you’re hungry healthy? I don’t know about that.

  • You know it’s really sad how much extra sugar is added to stuff; especially when it doesn’t truly make any difference to the taste because you know the manufacturer is adding it just to get people addicted.

  • Watch Annabelle Hayes I think… Chloe tings; it’s so many good workouts. The Daily Student is a good YouTube channel to know about weight lose

  • In addition to core training try stomach vacuums! Check out Vicky Justiz video on it. It’s something you can do anytime, anywhere and it really tightens your core for a snatched hourglass figure

  • i needed this! been struggling with weight loss and dieti haha. thanks taren

anyway can you do a video on intermittent fasting and whether it is advisable with triathletes. cheers

  • This came right on time, I’ve been talking about this for some time and just started yesterday. So I loved your tips, majority of them were the same but you pointed out a few things I didn’t think off and what was really helpful was that you started off this group conversation invthd comments lol. So I was able to read thru the comments with their tips, also im going to try chloe ting and there was so much that they mentioned that I think would be beneficial. So I just wanted to tell you that you look great and thanks for more good content.

  • Do you have a yard to rake or the yard to pretend to rake? Do that every other day for 1 month spending 2 and 3 hours outside and dragging the pine straw to the edge of the road will snatch your waist. Even took all the fat off of my back.

  • Thank you for the tips. I had been wanting to get rid of tummy that won’t seem to go away after having 7 darlings. I helped me to think of things I could try. I’m pretty good with eating healthy, even though I’m not a vegan eater. I guess a treadmill is in order, and water increase. You look AMAZING!

  • I started strength training (without dieting but eating right) and lost my baby weight too. Cardio I gave up on because you would lose weight without looking toned. Strength training gave me weight lost and toned body. I did one day only of cardio.

  • Also everything you’re saying is just simple easy ways to lose weight w/out a lot of extra. I think we tend to make it more difficult cuz we think about what we cant have. I need to lose 10lbs and this is so simple but I need to get my mind right. I have a treadmill and spin bike. But that quarantine wine be calling me! I also follow the Shredded Vegan which helps me w/my workouts.

  • To tone up your arms just do push ups. Simple body weight exercise. You can do modified on your knees and get good results with toning your arms. Lift your butt follow Bret Contreas “the glute guy”. Just simple bridges, hip thrusts will lift your butt; Also, what did you do to your hair. It’s cute.

  • Mg snack of choice is microwave popcorn. I’ve gotten better choices and sometimes smaller bags.i agree with you. I’ve started doing the doggie bag also. I started only doing entries instead of meals when we would eat out. Helpful

  • If you want to lose some midsection weight, try Chloe Ting’s 2 week summer shred! Works REEEEAAALLYY well and only takes 20 minutes a day. You’re looking absolutely amazing, though!
