  • Very few that I follow. Proud to say you were the first fitness influencer I started watching on YouTube before the fitness fad started when you wore the blue shorts and did you videos in an empty gym at night Keep up the good content Scott!!!!

  • Hey Scott, for progressive overload, i was thinking of keeping the weight and from a rep range for example 8-12 i would start 1 week with 8 reps then the next week 10 and then 12 and once i reach the end of the rep range, i up the weight 5 lb. Would this work?

  • How does it feel man. BSN is the WORST supplement company out there. Why dont you just scratch the whole company bro. It has the worst fucking ratings out of most of the supplements out there. Go to labdoor.com and you’ll see NONE of ur product get a score above 80 and none of your supplements have an ingredient safety grade above a 55% like HOLY SHIT.

  • Coach, the behind the back dips don’t work the long head very effectivity, have a look at the bi-articulate muscle theory
The long head being bi-articulate crosses the shoulder as well, creating shoulder extension slightly
Putting your arms behind the back during those dips will cause shoulder extension so the triceps are now functioning at two places hence it limits it’s contractile ability

  • What really made my triceps grow and get stronger was close grip bench press. Like immediately after I started doing them and ditched the push downs and stuff I started seeing my tricep strength go up enormously

  • As a subber of someone like TMF, most if not all of channels like that do a vid revolving around an ad. I don’t watch the tmf fitness vids, but other vids have great tips. But i think ppl subbing to those channels for fitness sub for the wrong reason

  • Hey scott, hope ur doing great ma man
Ive been dealing with some sort of issue lately as I’m 6 ft 185 pounds and I just can’t do push-ups anymore! I workout 2 muscles a day and on my chest/triceps day I do bench press, dumbbell press and then I’m supposed to finish that with regular pushups and incline pushups but i just feel that my chest can’t handle my body weight after the presses! Sorry for making this too long but I hope u have an answer or a solution

  • When you said subs I thought I would check when I subbed here, over 10 years old!! I am still unfit as I was then but still like watching your content lol

  • Hey, can you review Obi Vincent channel. I like his videos but given the current situation of youtube fitness community, I don’t know if he is legit or not.

  • I go to Athlean for great functional workouts and the science behind what they target and why were doing them.

I come to Scotty because I think he’s the best at teaching safe correct form, and to hear him say the word GAAHHHHBAGE!!

I go to Shredded Sports Science for some of the best nutritional science to learn what to put in my body to maximize results

I go to Every Damn Day to hear him absolutely take the piss out of the liars fakers and grifters out there.

Thanks to all of you for drastically improving my physical and mental health and steering me away from the mountains of shitty advice out there, much love! ✌

  • Athlene x blocked me on Instagram wen I told them there is a guy who explain u r not a strength Coach don’t know y they blocked me

  • Wondering if you can put together a home calf workout using minimum equipment? My calves have suffered the most since I live in Cali with gyms closed!

  • You the man Scotttt watching all the way from Trinidad and Tobago

  • This is my 10th day doing your cardio workout program. I am fullualy ready for this workout right now. Bring It On Scott. Kaley Moyer

  • So after doing this for about 4 months I can tell you that it totally works! You have to push yourself with diet and exercise. This by itself won’t do a lot. Try doing some cardio like 5k a day. When I started I wasn’t necessarily fat but I did have chubby sides and after just 2 weeks I saw improvement. I totally recommend this to anyone trying to get fit. I’m 17 by the way.

  • C’mon Scott “NeckVeinsKing” Herman design a similar workout using bands. It’s literally been a year since I’ve been telling you to. C’mon man in the name of those gains

  • Kinda disagree with the protein talk. Yes you need enough protein, but its CARBS which will make your muscles huge. Protein are overrated. A high protein diet are used on cuts and for weight loss. My macros are like 200g protein but 550g of carbs. Carb up and you’ll see gains

  • Hey Scott, just wanted to say thank you for sharing these workout videos, I’m a mom of 3 kids and trying to get in shape. I use your workouts often. Thank you for your generosity.

  • I loved this video Scott! Not only were you (and the pop up comments) CRACKING me up the whole time, but I learned a lot too, about how to build better/larger glutes. Thank you!

  • I’d tell myself to pick a balanced split, do it for 8 weeks ect and then change it. I kept changing stuff and because of that didn’t make much progress.
Don’t dirty bulk either. I just got fat.

  • Triceps were my favorite body part to train until a bad elbow injury. Getting older now, but 8 months later and it still hurts to train triceps. Any suggestions on how to at least maintain decent triceps when dealing with a chronic elbow injury? Love the videos by the way and Rikki is hilarious!

  • Hi Scott, what about the opposite? I mean instead of increasing the weight and decreasing reps. In my chase firstly I hit my first heaviest set (4-6 reps) and then I decrease weight and add more reps (3 to 4 sets in total). Would it impact at the same way to get more volume and/or strenght? Salute from Peru!

  • Hi, When I an doing pull-ups or lat pulldown, I get pain between my shoulder blades, mostly on the right side. Can i replace it with seated rows? Or another exercise?

  • People always seem to forget overhead tricep presses, you’ll never get full triceps with benching and cables alone. Need the overhead

  • Luckily when I started back in summer of 2013 when I was 15, I done my research and there was already plenty of YouTube videos to watch on how to do the exercises and I never once egolifted

  • I love you Scott. Smart, no hyperbole. Rational. I know Greg Doucette gets lots of clicks because of his rants and histrionics. And I know you need to build income. But, don’t lose your unique identity. Bostonian, a natty, rational and truly a nice guy. But don’t overdo the “Goddam rage.” It doesn’t feel authentic, even though you are exactly right. Thanks.

  • Sorry but the 40/40/20 (carbs, protein and fats) don’t make any sense, you are saying teens should eat 300 grams of protein a day? Really 1 gram of protein per bodyweight is all you need for protein.

  • I just found this channel and I really appreciate how much this guy actually cares about the quality of people’s workout and their well-being because not every fitness influencers do

  • Scott stop with the hate
They are fashion and lifestyle focused channels, they include just the basics, not a fitness advice channel
People watch his videos for fashion and lifestyle tips, not for fitness tips, he justs shows the basics which everyone can do

  • Wanted to thank you for the tip on bench pressing. I have a shoulder issue that bothers me when I flat bench. I elevated the bench a little as you demonstrated and was able to bench with no issues. I was surprised that just a few inches of elevation made that much difference but it did. Definitely a like.

  • For anyone looking to make this more difficult I suggest replacing the dumbbell standing oblique crunch things with bicycles. I found the oblique crunches to be very easy and the bicycles make it much more difficult especially after the psycho crunch.

  • Can you make a video showing these types of exercises but with resistance bands thrown in? I notice there are vids out there about how to exercise with bands and how to exercise with free weights but very few about incorporating both. I am into combining both for muscle growth because the dumbbell starts out hard and gets easier a the top and the band is easier at the bottom and gets harder at the top (doing bicep curls as an example). This shreds the muscle because it is under constant tension the whole ride! Thanks, Scott!

  • Fantastic instructionals on body building! Wish there had been someone like you around when i was a young man, anyhow, ur here now, and i truly appreciate you young man, great job!

  • I was searching a channel for my husband. I want him to build muscles. He is 27 years old. He is also motivated. I am happy that I found your channel Thanks

  • Hey Scott, you do a good job creating balance in the accessible information about health and fitness that is out there. When you are really mad about something you see or heard that is really bullshit and not helping people further, do make a video about it! Because people who don’t know better have to see the right way to not harm themselves when working out and you need to channel the anger and frustration too! Keep up the work!

  • I have been following alpha m for a while now…

Sure, his fitness videos may not be very accurate but he has other content that may be beneficial on confidence and style…

I will definitely make Scott’s channel my top choice for fitness though…

  • The camera angle when you are showing elbow flares should be from the front. But here it was from the side. Beginners wouldn’t understand the difference seeing this video. Hope you keep this in mind in your next videos Scott. Thanks always!

  • You Scott.. i love your channel, i was brought to your channel few years ago from someone mentioning you on other Jeff Cavalier’s video, didn’t take long to click subscribe.. and then later on i found Jeff Nippard’s channel (which i don’t remember when did i subscribe to his channel, but i glad i did, he gave out a lot of good information as well).. and then Jeremy Ethier’s Channel, which always include a lot of research done by people.. I LOVE YOU ALL.. and you just mention Omar as well, i’ve been hearing his name as of lately on youtube fitness as well, who is he? you said he have good content as well, i should go check his channel up soon..

  • I am 14 years old and wanna start weightlifting since calisthenics really aren’t for me but everyone discourages it should i start?

  • Hi Scott, I hope youll be able to read my comment. I followed your fitness video tutorials since 2011. Thats the year I graduated highschool. But while im in college, I honestly followed and subscribed to Alpha M’s channel as I was honestly fascinated on his way of teaching style (take note I was still very young at this time and I dont know any better). So that was also the time when I decided to start working out and since Aaron is also teaching about fitness, I honestly also tend to watch and videos and believed in him as I looked up to him.

But as I grew up, and as I learned from my real gym instructor, he taught me alot of things and he was even very against of what Aaron Marino is teaching on his video. He (my gym instructor) explained to me everything and I was really ashamed about it.

Take for example, his video titled “The Build A Better Body 6 Week Plan!” Just watch the video and its 9 mins of supplements advertisement. In this video, its like hes trying to show to me that the key to gaining muscle is from taking those supplements that he is talking that I honestly never heard of (as a beginner). Plus I cant even afford to buy Whey protein powder monthly, then he advertised to us about supplements that I honestly dont know about. Also his video about “Lose Your Gut In 30 days” the title says 30days but the workout program he implemented is a 8 weeks program. How can 8 weeks be 30days? Im fucking dumb in math but I know that 8 weeks is 60 days. Correct? Plus not to mention, the first 3 mins of the video is non sense.

Going back to his 6 week plan, are those supplements hes talking really necessary? Because what I did was watching all of your dumbell workouts and I gained muscles from those workout programs that youve been teaching. Plus plus Scott, just read the comments on the video. Haha its really crazy alot of people are pissed.

  • Killer workout!
I enjoy it and i like your encouragment through this, you really stoped me from takinh a “few seconds rest” many times.
    Keep up the good work!

  • Is it weird that I keep the same intensity through the whole thing but after the first set my abs just don’t burn anymore, thing is I wouldn’t be as confused if I was already ripped but my abs have only just started to come through naturally and I feel like if i find it easy they should be more prominent. ( im 15 and an ectomorph, also open for different techniques and stuff like that) basically why does it stop burning and hurting even tho I’m skinny

  • Funny thing is I saw these “organic twins” perform this exercise. I was confused on why not just use dumbbells. I thought it was the dumbest shit ever doesn’t even look like it would feel right! “That’s half a million people you’re teaching how to destroy their shoulders” hahaha favorite part of the video! Stay real my friend!

  • Scott this might be completely off topic. I been wanting to do CPT PROGRAMM either with ISSA or NASM. For me since i live in india being Ncca accredited does matter i just want get some solid foundation. Which would you recommend.

  • I guess I been doing it wrong all along. 7-8 sets:( I have Been doing 4-5 sets of 6 Reps I hurt the back of my knee doing leg extension. I was in such a pain had to drag my left leg out of the gym. Thanks for the videos very helpful

  • Dude, why are you focusing on shitting on other people. Seems really shallow of you bro. Love your stuff normally, but this seems childish.

  • Are you kidding me? I can maybe get through 1 round…I think some people are just born with stronger cores..and the rest of us arent meant to have abs

  • I Agree, ive been lifting for 7 months now and im 21. At start i took alot of supplementation and food and i grew, but fatter, not muscular. So i decided to shredd, but i didn’t eat much, and i wasn’t training hard. So what happened was i lost alot of ny gains. So i stop for 3 months and a half. And now i trained again with a high intensity personal program consisting of mechanical damage, metabolic stress training and progressive overload. With calisthenics.
Yes its much much harder but now i see my gains more even though im not consistently training 2 a week.

do high intensity but smart training, eat a lot of healthy foods and have an adequate rest.

  • Another crybaby, stop be jealous and just do your thing.
You are not some knight in shining armor trying to save everyone on you tube.

  • Too much of anything is overwhelming and usually a big waste of time. In my 20 years experience of training I’ve found that sticking to the basics usually yields faster results and my clients are more likely to train HAHHHHDAH if their list of exercises for the day is short and to the point.

So does your current workout program contain all 7 of these exercises? If not, it might be time to switch things up!

  • This dude kind of feels like a bargain bin Gordon Ramsay with all the yelling he does. He is right about the Glute Bridge / Dumbell Hip Trust though.

  • Hey scott
    When giving us advice
    Flex your butt
It will give you a nice ass
(And now i have 6 million subscriber for the advice )

  • I usually watch fitness content at 2x speed to consume dat knowledge fast, but went backwards and it’s the funniest trippy shitt watching your videos at 0.25 speed

  • Saw your video this morning. Tried these exercises today at the gym and oh man they killed me. Definitely subscribed to your channel.

  • This video just sent me down a 6 hour research rabbit hole, I now have all the information I need for macros and calories to make my own full meal plans for cutting and bulking.

  • I LOVE training triceps guys. They are by far my strongest muscle group and one of my strongest isolation lift is the POWERBOMB! (seated dumbbell overhead extensions)

So because of this I’ve never had a hard time developing my triceps, especially the long head, because when my form starts to break down I notice right away and take action. If I’m not “feeling” my triceps working to the max during a lift, I immediately try to figure out why and correct my form.

In today’s video I’m going over 4 of the most common exercises where form breakdown happens all too often due to “flared elbows” and I’m confident that once you learn from these tips you will be on the path toward maximizing your triceps growth!

  • Scott, thank you. Just thank you. Haven’t watched the video as I am about to, but I’ve been hoping someone calls out this man sooner or later. Can’t keep getting away with throwing misinformation

  • Thanks for this video Scott.. I was looking at some “expert’s” programme a while ago. There was no emphasis on these exercises. Instead each day had about 7 different exotic sounding exercises that I literally had never heard before in my life.

  • Heres 10 words you can use for breathing through a set
    1. CHarlie
    2. CHocolate
    3. CHaplin
    4. CHimney
    5. CHimiCHanga (halfway!)
    6. CHad
    7. CHeese
    8. CHalk
    9. CHutney
    10. CHeerio

  • Scott, not hating because I certainly carry quite a bit of fat on me, but what is happening to you? You look really flabby lately. Would you be able to make a video on some of the things that you’re eating that maybe aren’t good for you?

  • Scott!!! I cringed when I saw both your faces and I knew you were going to go into Alpha. Lmao. You are right I watch him when I need ideas for fashion (cause I’m already fashionable) but definitely go to you for fitness. I have seen your fashion and I’m like what is he wearing. You lucky you have a good body. Lol.

  • Wait so can i bring it up higher than that position. Or is that wrong bcs the hammer curls I’ve been doing i bring it up almost the same place as a regular curl?

  • You say eat 40% calories from protien, but I only wiegh 120 and I need 2700 calories which would make protien wayyyy to high for me… what should I do?

  • You funny. Too long First round long enough but not hard enough. Otherwise not bad abs should be short and intense. Full crunch probably not best idea either.

  • Very informative video. I am super happy that I discovered your channel over 5 years ago because if I did not I am not sure if I would have continued to workout or got as many gains as I did get. I love when you post a new video because it gives me so much information. Thanks man. I hope you never stop putting out videos.

  • I really like you and with all due respect, what about for us that do not have the necessary money to buy extra dumbbells! Again i do not try to criticize i am only asking for guidance is it so harmfull to perform excesises with plates that are usually done with dumbells? I would like to thank you in advance whether you replay or not sir.

  • I find this video very interesting. I’ve been working out for 4 years now and I get compliments all the time for my butt, from girls as well as guys but the thing is I’ve never done glute bridges or hip thrusts, ever. Maybe I owe that to me playing soccer 2-3 times a week all my life.

  • Former AphaM subscriber here…
At 2:58 you give the exact reason why I am a “former” viewer… I got tired of not only prolific ad placement but also a somewhat judgemental mindset.
I enjoyed the channel at first, but it devolved after about a year and a half.
    Sad…
I like that you can make fun of yourself while still being 100% honest, something others sometimes fail to do.
    Keep on keepin’ on, Brother.

  • Mr.Scott..Your anger is justifiable…Your genuineness is obvious..Blasting at the misleading ones to save the innocent ones from all the trouble they are going to face just tells me what you are..Proud to be one of your subscribers…God bless you and family….Love you Scott for what you are…

  • Gyms are closed in my country, what do I do if I dont have a barbell and weight?
Going to alpha.m and this is not your lane bro chill out and stop getting 4 views from a real youtuber
    Joke’s on you

  • Scott’s physique is completely natural. His physique is neither too bulky nor too skinny just perfect for all the guys. Amazing work Scott. Keep up the good work!

  • @ScottHermanFitness
6:36 i think your form isn’t perfect (i do like your all other videos since a lot of time, accept my passing here)

  • 1. barbell bicep curl
    2. ezbar bicep curl
    3. dumbbel concentration curl
    4. hammer curl
    5. tricep powerbomb
    6. tricep pushdown
    7. bench
    come at me

  • I would tell my young self: Don’t worry, no gains (nor girls) await you, even if you work hard. You can relax because there is nothing to lose.

  • If you look at Jeff Calvalier or Scott Herman they have some videos how to do “x” exercise right they go into detail usually over 5 minutes. How will you learn a workout from an Instagram video less than a minute long? With limited audio?

  • Hey Scott, I’m not sure if you’re aware of who joe weller is, but recently he made a body transformation video, I was wondering if you would consider a collar with him? Or faze censor perhaps. Just seeing a collab would be great

  • How can you make videos for BETTER GLUTES sicne 2015 and still not know that “Barbell Glute Bridges” and “Barbell Hip Thrusts” are the best glute builders?

Do you guys see the pattern yet? THEY DON’T CARE. It’s just filler to sell their products.

    Change my mind.

  • @ScottHermanFitness
Hey man are you able to quickly suggest how to put all of your exercises from “The Only Two” Series into a weekly schedule?? I’d say I’m a beginner/intermediate lifter. Would really appreciate!!

  • As I’m doing this exercise I find myself talking back to you and sometimes I even try to beat you to the position of the next exercise. Keep up the good coaching!

  • Thanks Scott! This workout kicked my ass! First time working out in months. Finished the workout (while taking necessary breaks because Of failed reps during the sets). Practice makes perfect!

  • thank you for the tips and trick and the methods i will do to make its strong and fade back to me i build muscle with homemade tools

  • I’m only starting to realize how lucky I was that I found scott because he shares the same last name as my first name, and he turned out to be the best fitness channel out there, and not like the other bogus channels

  • If I had the ability to go back in time, I would convince myself not to waste money on Mike Chang.

Yeah, I was a really dumb person when I started with gym.

  • So this exercices are heavy compound that everyone need to do them to build a lot of muscle. If you do this 7 exercices you can add some isolation work to grow your weak points. And that’s it!You have a muscle building program that will build you a nice phisique
You don’t need a special bodybuilding program from a special coach..all what matters is to progress on these 7 exercices!
    Good luck and train heavy

  • Everything you said was on point accept the thing about knee sleeves and belt, it doesnt matter how much weight one’s squatting if it makes you feel better and gives you an extra edge of confidence to push harder without any fear of injury then why not put on a belt or knee sleeve nothing wrong in that I guess! May be that guy who knows have proper chronic issues with his knees and lower back injury which he wants to save himself from.. dont judge

  • Can’t forget the #1 exercise… it grows all your muscles and has to be done correctly for maximum growth. I call it the food curl.. all you do is curl your arm up towards your mouth and put food in it. Without that exercise we won’t grow and it’s the hardest exercise of them all to do correctly

  • DUDE STOP HATTING ON AARONS HUSTLE AND STOP BEING A BITCH BECAUSE HE MAKE MORE MONEY THAN YOU THIS VIDEO MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A LITTLE BITCH SO STOP

  • Coach Greg advised that letting that barbell go way back increases th range of motion in skull crushers, and nobody wanna crush their skull and tat last tip is unnecesary

  • Wow! This is terrific.
What an explanation!! You’ve covered some significant points that are the cause for little to no improvement. Most beginners and a few trainers too would benefit!
    Many thanks!
    Respects from India!

  • Stop talking with your hands it’s not necessary and incredibly distracting. Unless you are signing? Do you not have a publicist, public speaking coach? You need a Dramamine to watch your videos. These are your own words……”Too much of anything is overwhelming”. Good work though, just an professional observation. Carry On My Brah.

  • Scott, I have problems developing my tricep long head so this is timely. On the skull crusher is it better to do it with dumbbells using a neutral hand position or a bar using a pronated grip? I don’t have a curl bar so I’d be using a straight bar.

  • i never put comments on youtube
but this is the first workout routine that actually works for me
i really like the part at the end when you say
“Good job guys” and you seem tired too
    keep up the great work!

  • Hey Scott! Platinum member, I love your website, videos, and home programs. I’m on WEEK 1 of MONTH 3.

    Question:

Because I mixed some calendars of yours up, I’ve been on this schedule for the past 3 months while following your 12 WEEK HOME PROGRAM:
    MONTH 1
Sunday: Upper Body 1 and Abs 1
Monday: Lower Body 1 and Abs1
    Tues: Rest or Cardio
Wednesday: Upper Body 1 and Abs 1
    Thursday: Rest or Cardio
    Friday: Mildly Active Rest
    Saturday: Mildly active rest

When I hit Month 2, I kept this schedule and used MONTH 2 workouts. When I got to MONTH 3, I kept this schedule and did 1 WEEK of MONTH 1 workouts as you advised in your plan.
Now I’m on WEEK 1 of MONTH 3 and I discovered that your calendar is different than this.

Basically, I’m wondering if I should switch the routine up and do what you suggest or keep it how it is. I feel great, your meal plan macros are working and I’m seeing consistent physical changes.

Thanks Scott! Keep being one of the best on the internet in the fitness world.

  • Hey I have a question. Wouldn’t doing a standing side crunch with a dumbbell in each hand just balance out? Like, pulling 20lbs up on the right would be made way easier with 20lbs also pulling down on the other side, no?

  • Everybody talks about how fast you can grow as a noob especially if you are a teenager. But doesn’t quick weight increasing(in the exercises) puts too much stress to your joint, ligaments etc? I’m afraid of increasing the weights as quick as my muscles let because I read that muscles adapt faster than joints etc. What do you think about it?

  • 8:50 my wrist hurt while performing this exercise, i make sure that everything i do is just as what you told.
    Any reason or advice?

  • I know this video is three years old, but I’m going through a rough time and this made me feel so alive again, what a great workout!

  • I think it’s pathetic that so many here criticise Alpha for his age and doubt he even does weights.
Going by some comments, one would think that no one over 30 can look any good.
    Its just laughable.
Calling someone a Boomer is also weak.

  • Returning to the gym after another injury. Would like to focus on full body workouts now. Is there a way to take the exercises listed in this video and do them over 2 workouts? My goal is to train 1 day on, 1 day off, and so on. Appreciate any advice.

  • I’ve started my channel a few months back and also post fitness themes content. it would mean a lot to me if some of you guys could check it out and let me know ur options.
    Thank you

  • I do hammer curls with weights with the weights facing straight is that right and to my shoulder is that right I think I am doing them right

  • Question, which option makes the most sense to you based on resistance training life style.
X grams of protein per pound of lean body mass
X grams of protein per pound of total body mass
X grams of protein as a percentage of total calorie intake

  • makes no sense to breath out on the way up, tried it and it just makes it twice as hard. Maybe would make sense if it was some kind of strange breathing exercise.

  • Thank you Scott Herman for this lower body and upper body workout for this morning. I really like doing your workout programs with you on YouTube. I just have a great time doing it. Kaley

  • Scott I have a Trainer but some times I forget so I like your videos. I’m 33 200 pounds 5foot5 is it possible for me to get back into shape.

  • I try these but it feels like I’m working my triceps as well. And I do triceps/shoulders/chest on one day and biceps/back on the other, so don’t want to mix them up. Do these definitely not work the triceps??

  • hi Scott you can always be my friend and i love you. you are my cool friend im only 50 year old and im friendly man love David

  • Today is a week past my one year in lifting as a 15 year old, good to hear I was doing these right for the most part. Great content as usual man

  • #HulkBrother Hey Scott sometimes it’s hard to believe that you’ve been helping us from more than 10 years.
You still look super cool and excited when u teach us things. So much respect and love brother.

  • Today I am starting over with your program and this time I am not skipping your workouts anymore during the day time or during the night time where i workout at night. I am going to be really serious with your daily workouts program. Today I am fasting today and i am not going to eat within the 24 hours. Kaley

  • SCOTT, NO HATE BRO, BUT THERE IS NOOOO WAY YOU’RE 5’10”. BASED ON PHOTOS/VIDEOS YOU LOOK LIKE 5’7” RANGE. DON’T INFLATE YOUR HEIGHT PLEASE.

  • Here is the new rule of thumb to make gains. Sees GYMSHARK LOGO, doesn’t follow advice. #GAHHHBAGE

  • You know what Scott?
I’ve been a follower of yours for many years now and you’ve helped me gain many gains and I’m really digging this new line of videos that you have coming out, exposing all the BS on social media nowadays that’s fitness related. Well because your right, and now we have you to stand up for people like myself who aren’t absolute experts and are just trying to make the best of our situation! And you pointing it out for those who dont notice, really is a critical thing that needs to be done.
BUT, what I feel as a fellow hermanite is that we need to take action and let those assholes know that we know what they are doing, and it needs to stop! Make sure THEY NOTICE THAT WE NOTICE AND WE WANT IT GONE! So for everytime you call someone out and if I agree (after research if needed) I will share the video to the person / people you are calling out. I hope that hundreds if not thousands of others do the same, so we can end all this b.s. and go back to what is important. MAKING GAINZ!
(Btw I started watching your videos when I was in 10th grade, now 24, and back then I honestly didnt even notice your accent!)

  • Preach!! All these guys out there just put out stuff they have no knowledge about just to promote stuff solely for their own personal gains. A bad “belt day” is more forgiving than a bad squat day when you snap you back or tear something else. When newbies try these “nonsense advice” and follow them, they gonna get depressed at not seeing the results “promised” after putting the time and effort in. Luckily Scott is here to put em in line. But its genuinely sad to see how selfish these people have become.

  • Chhhshhhshshhsshhhshshshhshshssssshhhhhhhhhheeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back down and breath out Chhhshhhshshhsshhhshshshhshshssssshhhhhhhhhheeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 3 more Chhhshhhshshhsshhhshshshhshshssssshhhhhhhhhheeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
    Chhhshhhshshhsshhhshshshhshshssssshhhhhhhhhheeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Last one
    Chhhshhhshshhsshhhshshshhshshssssshhhhhhhhhheeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • I start this routine during quarantine, it’s been 3 weeks now and I do it every day i can see great change in my abs! Thanks alot Scott, hope to see more workout

  • I think you underestimate how many people watch your channel because they were inspired by channels like Alpha. It’s okay for people to present information in a way that you may have a better approach and/or disagree with. So yes, these videos do feel like drama videos. If you have a better approach, simply make a video and highlight what is important to you. What works for some doesn’t work for others. That’s okay.

  • He does the TSCH noise so that he remains tense while exhaling. Proper breathing and a tense body helps prevent injury. Doesn’t have to be “TSCH” of course, that’s just how he likes to do it.

  • You’re a man to man inspiration on me Scott!!! I’d love to meet you physically!!! Scott!!! You’d be a great one for me to share things man to man with too Scott!!!

  • You lost me as soon as you called out PTs for not having certain exercises in their clients’ programmes, and then only gave two different barbell squats as your MUST DO “variations”. Of course these are great, but the average person can get all the development they want from goblet squats, split squats, safety bar squats, etc. if due to structural issues, previous injuries, or just a dislike for the exercise, barbell squatting isn’t for them. Encouraging all the people out there with horrendous back squat, deadlift, pull up, etc. form that it’s okay because they’re picking the right exercise is just ridiculous to me. It does a disservice to trainers out there not using these exact exercise variations because it’s best to use other variations for their clients at this stage of their lifting journey. Instead it comes across as “your trainer is shit, come buy my products”

I fully expect an argument along the lines of “Of course, as long as they’re carrying out these movement patterns then it’s all good”…but that’s not what you’ve said in this video.

  • Great video as always. I was a little surprised at the end though when Scott said 7 to 8 sets. 20 years ago they used to say 3 sets of 10. Then there was the 5 x 5 stong lift barbell program. Then I heard about 4 sets of 8 to 12. What is the latest thinking on sets and reps?

  • For those of you who think alpha m knows anything about fitness, he doesn’t. His channel is simply there to sell you shit for his personal gains. Do you really think he cares about your wellbeing? No, he just wants to sell you shit.

  • Started today. Doing this and another ab routine, alternating every 2 days. Will update this comment weekly for 6 weeks to try and give you guys a good review.

Edit 1: I’m at the start of week 3. The past 2 weeks I haven’t felt much long-term soreness (as in the next day). I added some more weight onto the weight of exercises and I’ve been trying to flee the ab muscles tighter on the ones where you crunch. I’ve never had abs so I’m hoping to get my first set. I’ve done abs in the past so I’m a little skeptical. I will keep at it!

Edit 2: End of Week 3. I added weights to the Alternating Tie Touch and standing side by side this week. A lot harder to pull off but I pushed myself to do it and will continue this until the end. Still no visible differences. Rather than alternating this routine and another, I just did this routine 3 times this week. I will continue this next week as well.

Edit 3: Start of week 5 today. I will move on to a new program after week 6. No noticeable difference. One thing I will say that might be said to death but it needs to be told. If you want results, you must also work on your diet as well as the workouts. I’ve recently started putting mor vegetables in my diet. This might be small, but everyone starts somewhere. Where will you start?

  • I do a split program: upper body (4 sets x 10 reps once a week, or 4 sets x 20 reps once a week) and legs (4 sets x 10 reps + 2 sets x 20 reps once a week)… and I usually am around the gym for 1h45 minutes

The upper body is warm-up, 6 exercises, and abs: I do dumbbells chest presses (30°), lat pull-downs, T-Bar rows, and straight-bar military presses… then I finish with a triceps exercise (usually either straight-bar triceps presses or lying barbell extensions), and a biceps one (usually straight-bar curls).

Legs are warm-up, 4 exercises, abs: leg press, abductors machine, adductor machine and sitting leg curls

And of course I complete everything with some other activities during the week, namely Bodypump and Bodycombat (both classes for which I am also an instructor), and at least one hour of pilates every week:)

  • Great workout Scott! I’ve been doing this for a month now through lockdown, 3 times a week, plus cardio and pushups and really see a difference in my body! Once i’m through the first round I may as well keep going to the end! Thank you:)

  • Shoulder breakers got rid of 99% of my shoulder pain. Thanks for recommending this, Scott. I had should pain (bursitis) for decades but it got worse when I started lifting few years ago. I searched for solutions and asked trainers but none could help me until I saw a video where you recommended shoulder breakers. Thanks. You saved my shoulders and my workouts.:D This is an excellent video. My triceps are…needing work so this is perfect. I smashed the like button.

  • I used to think overhead extension didn’t work for me. Turned out it was me who was doing it wrong the whole time. Best tricep exercise I have ever done after skull crushers

  • Love your videos. I admit I use both belt and knee sleeves while squatting. But that because of my ankylosing spondylitis that has left some damage on my joints.:)

  • I feel like you already made this but do you have anything for the bottom part gains of your legs? ( my bottom legs around the front side of the calves look tiny but I train my calves a lot and they are pretty strong )

  • When I was a teenager I had the Arnold Schwarzenegger encyclopedia. I never had aspirations to body build but there was a wealth of knowledge in there.

  • Hey Scott, it’s great to call out people with 0 respect to proper training. What could kill it and wrap up the video would be a better way with proper form of doing these exercises. I’m a true believer in showing the example that truly counts and you could do a nice wrap up by showing what the adequate way of training is.

  • Maaaaaan, wasn’t expecting to see anything related to the pink drink scammer here, she’s back on her shenanigans, she deleted lots of comments and posts to continue uploading vacations pictures and bad edited photos with her new boyfriend. It’s amazing how the Instagram gurus got to the point of scamming people in such ways, they’re not even innovative.

  • Wow Scott awesome video pointing out those details really makes for a helpful tricep excersize. The video flowed so well the 14 min mark didn’t even feel like it. Shout-out to ya boy Ricky w/th musical edits

  • My advice to anyone just starting regardless of age has always been based on my own experience when i started back in the 90s i think I got it right just by sheer luck as I didn’t have a clue but start with full body every other day doing 3 sets per muscle and each set to failure and always pushing for that extra rep every workout every set every exercise. it’s as simple as you can get but put me in a solid position to make gains and gave me a good base to work from program wise going forward and progressing as i got bigger

  • My personal top 7
    1. Clean and Jerk
    2. Snatch
    3. Squats
    4. Pull ups
    5. Incline Press
    6. Deadlift
    7. Dips
Honourable mention to barbell rows as well as postural muscle exercises for things like rotator cuff, posterior delts and lower traps

  • It means to break, or physically destroy; to remove the main function. For example, one might render a gun useless and this means that it will not function as a gun, that is to say, it will not fire.

  • I’m 17 year old freshman at Syracuse university I’m swole asf and tbh main things are ur genetics( I eat pretty much whatever I want and it all goes to the muscles) also consistency once U see training as a lifestyle you’ll get whatever physique you want

  • Hey Scott, can you make a video about which exercises increase vertical jump? and which muscles are more dominant? It would be very valuable for all who engage in sports and athleticism. Thanks!

  • You’re right Herman. Instagram shouldn’t have axed the like button. They should have blocked the ability to block others. That’s how misinformation spreads on social media.

  • In my first visit I forgot to give the like… I came back and watched it again to do it… It is the most scientific and detailed video on Triceps…

  • yo pls help me my lower back hurts should i stop working out or continue with low volume training?(it was my fault when i was doing squats)

  • 40% protein!? Even if you’re talking grams (and not calories) that’s still 200 grams for every 2500 kCal (average daily male expenditure). That’s way more than a gram of protein per pound of lean body weight for pretty much everyone. That sounds a bit over the top, don’t you think? (And that gram-per-pound-of-body-weight-guideline is already pretty crazy.)

  • There is a lot of garbage out there. Even AthleneX puts out the occasional rubbish which contradicts what he previously said. The other day he had a new workout for chest which was a dumb bell bench press from the floor (no bench). It was laughable. The elbows just rest on the floor. How can you get full range of movement from this? Just another dumb weekly video to help pay the bills with content that won’t help anyone.

  • U always make my morning when I watch your “drama” videos! Hahahaah! DEFEND THE FITNESS COMMUNITY, because this gen has to be tailored to attention and sensitive feelings. #neckveins

  • I’ve been training for 8 months i cant even do 176 (80 KG) bench press yet. And i can do 225 natural squat, that is just embarrassing tbh

  • I personally used to sqauts and deadlift on same day and my butt grew faster then my thighs i felt awkward why TF you want big butt if you’re male i definitely don’t want it now i do sqauts and legs presses etc to focus on thighs on leg day and and deadlift on back day

  • Scott I really respect you and you are a great human……… But the sound at 0:15. It’s that of a dog whose tail got stepped on

ANNNNDDDDD they disable comment on that post ( only that post )
Funny thing is the first thing came out of my mind when I saw the title organic twins automatically came out of my mind and the sec Scott mentioned them i laughed

  • Scott, the reason this happens is because the fitness industry is UNREGULATED.

Just like most fitness online influencers have no degree, no certification, no time teaching folks I’m person, and have no background coaching.

If the industry was regulated like other health professionals, then stupid shit online would be illegal when it came to putting out fitness advice.

Scott, same goes with you dude, go back get your degree in Ex. Science, get more certs, and show the community you are continuing to grow as well with continued education

  • This is weak. Why would you care what Alpha is doing unless you’re jealous. Who gives a tuck Scott grow a pair and stay in your lane too. No one is on YouTube looking at your channel seeking a drama, queen we want techniques and inspiration, which this is not either. We get that every day with Donnie Trump talking shit about Hillary or whoever makes him feel threatened. Is your next video going to be on Bradley Martin and his half assed content he posts most of the time? Come on man

  • Just watched your video Please have a look at our videos. We have a free app featuring over 250+ athlete workout and nutrition programs. Cheers!

  • Fuck man….. i have watched hundreds of videos on u r chanel but still not doing exercise …why the fuck u r videos are addictive

  • Hi Scott love your video has someone new to fitness what exercises will you recommend to someone who wants to lose some weight an keep it off thank you keep up the good work

  • If you could go back in time and give advice to your “teenage self”, what would you say?

  • It kinda hits mostly the hip flexors for me. I mean my abs are pretty exhausted when I’m done but I don’t feel it burning. Anybody got an idea what I’m doing wrong?

  • Hey Scott, being a health enthusiast myself, I truly appreciate you being one of the few true naturals out there who hasn’t lost their vision as to why they first started health and fitness in the first place. I’ve been a bit out of the loop with some of these imbeciles but I do know there are tons of them out there doing anything for likes and being fake natties. it truly makes me sick as well.

Because you have such a huge following, please continue to use your platform to call out these irresponsible so called health enthusiasts. they are causing people injuries and giving false expectations as to what’s attainable naturally. thanks again Scott.

  • Thank you! I’m glad someone put alpha male on his plce. Lately I feel that his videos are full of $#/+ mostly selling stuff I don’t care about. Sadly, I’m subscribed to his channel, but that is because in the past he used to make really good videos about men’s fashion. Now he only gives advice for dum guys full of it who think they are all that, and never are going to stop being idiots. That is just my opinion.

  • Organic Steroid Twins. Not sure if they’re claiming they don’t take steroids, but they definitely do.

I also hate when people say, “Why does it matter if they take steroids or not? They still have to work for it.” I get that, but they shouldn’t tell their followers they don’t take steroids cause then people like me who will never even think about touching steroids, think they can get a physique like theirs.
