  • Damn, Jeff is so good at his job. I am supposed to be starting my arm workout, but this is so interesting I got hooked on it. He is very good at explaining everything for us to understand why we do what we do. And Jennings is so athletic try that jump thing, I am still on my knees…..

  • Gregg: tries to not fall because jeff pushed him
Jeff: so your muscles on this anterior kinetic chain contracted because your shoulders were internally rotated when your mother gave birth to you

  • Muamua le Atua family & Respect much love uso Stay healthy getting your Jersey this year 84 like the Hat to stay safe & alofa atu I le aiga ✌

  • I’m amazed by how quickly Obi is able to adapt to the exercise. Lots to learn here…. focus, excellent listening, humility, etc.

  • Bulk looks good but doesn’t give strength and stamina i guess its a life and preference choice to aspire and admire a schwarzenger or bruce lee body type, good videp

  • Great video. This is one of the moment I am truly grateful for Youtube. Coach David is a very good coach and he knows what he is talking about.

  • bro i love this dude so much and wanna thank you for js being you… ur the reason i decided to play football even though imma girl

  • Unreal Workout! Such simple but complex explosive exercises. Allowed me to see some imbalances in my body that I can work on and improve.

  • Can you do a similar workout for other sports or proffessions jeff?? I want to see a workout for distance runners or firefighters for example

  • Disagree with the Olympic lifting not being important for NFL athletes as mobility and is key especially for linesmen as they need to be able to be explosive from a low 3 point stance

  • Wow, what a workout bro. Thanks for adding this to your channel. I’m taking this and adding to some of my workout and you might see some of this on my channel. Keep up the good work.

  • Pettis should be there too working out!! These guys are on a mission to be LEGENDARY…! Pettis should be be here stop being in the kile Shanahan dog house! Kendrick’s Bourne invite Pettis to practice with you guys….

  • If you don’t know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, now is the day of salvation. While it is said, “To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation (Hebrews 3:15).” “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20).
Ask Him for forgiveness and repent (turn away from; change) of all your sins. For in John 6:37, Jesus says, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) and seek Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4) (Acts 2:1-4). Now is the time. Tomorrow is promised to no man.

    Isaiah 55:6-9:
“6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

May the Lord Jesus bless you

  • The bulgarian split squat elevated on two boxes is fancy, but not specific to a movement pattern performed on the field. It will essentially train the same thing as a squat. It will build general strength, yes unilaterally, but not real specific to a particular movement pattern on the field. For sprinting if you really want to add load and stay specific why not just do sprints pulling a sled behind? Lineman should do sprints pushing a sled. Strength training in the weight room for athletes is pretty general. Sport specific movements are trained on the field. The vertical movement straight up with the back leaning forward is not like sprinting. He is moving vertical. He is better of just doing step ups or running stairs with weighted vest if desired. Also running up an incline is better than this. This is way more specific to sprinting movement pattern from the starting position. Bo Jackson claims in college the only exercise he did in the gym was neck strengthening exercises. He said lifting weights made him too bulky and slowed him down. You even said the performance in the gym has little bearing on performance on the field.

  • never been a niner fan but boi you’re special (i live in socal). i feel your authenticity and i don’t even know you. keep inspiring us KB.
ps: can you release those tracks!!!

  • Am 58 years an a retired Marine as read these comments it’s a repeated admiration for ole boy an it’s well deserved.. But instead of cheering him on because he’s already in shape B your own cheerleader an all the inspiration you’ll ever need is that person staring back at you in the mirror u can’t lie to that person or hide from him or her… But u can be inspired EVERYDAY even if it’s. baby steps to improvement because some steps are than no steps at all ya dig!!

  • Mr.Rory nice coaching and workout format… great workout Mr.Obi
Really nice gym set up thank yous for sharing. Mr cameraman/woman nice job and team who put it together

  • If you are training for speed then using bands to increase the resistance as you overcome the initial force will only slow you down. It will not increase speed. It is counter productive. Power training is about exerting a large amount of force in as short amount of time as possible. Speed training is best when the load remains the same. If you keep increasing the load each set you will not increase speed. You may increase power. Band training can be useful for overspeed training to return back to the starting position of the exercise in order to do more reps quicker. Athletes should train for specificity. This is not specific to a wide receiver who is trying avoid or outrun a defender. A lineman will encounter resistance when he explodes of the line so his training is different.

  • NFL no fans allowed they hate americans they hate our vountry they hate our national anthem they hate us.. i will never wayvh the no fans league ever again

  • i do this once a week with my mate. We both played rugby in college and lifting weightlifting isnt cutting it. like the lads said, this type of training is FUN

  • Not a single power clean or deadlift. But people get impressed with bunny hops, this crap 2:15 and jumping on snow. They all should get an actual strenght and conditiong coach.

  • So. High impact vs. low impact. I am 52 and can easily do jumps. This is not metcon is it?is this a young man’s workout only? My Family members are heavier and need to modify away from high impacts. What am I to do?

  • Almost busted out laughing @ 1:25 idk why. i know its a great hand eye coordination drill but something about it seems like a meme

  • Can any swimmer help me out?

To execute an efficient arm stroke in any racing style (free style, breast stroke, butterfly, back stroke), internal rotation of shoulder is done.

According to Jeff (therefore science), it is a sin.

    Is there any way out?

  • this video was excellent from the trainer and Obi.. 5 stars fullaz!!. excellent program looks very difficult which is the bonus and Obi did great. Warrior stuff Obi bro.

  • This video was very helpful, but do you have any workouts that will increase standing vertical/lateral and broad jumps as well as running two foot jumps and one foot jumps

  • Isaiah 55.6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

  • KB i been rooting for you and I have all the faith you are going to have an even better year than last. Breakout, Jimmy G gonna have all you young receivers on point. Get than check greetings from portland oregon, BAY RAISED

  • Can someone help me understand what he’s doing at 2:10? It looks awesome but the way he’s stepping is confusing me. I’m assuming it’s done on purpose but it looks like he’s both balanced and unbalanced at the same time.

  • How does a older man that use to working out motivation to start and where to start. I’m 50 and I’m very obsess, but I’m ready to live again. I need help an fast!!!! Concern man, I wanna to be the best 50 something you ever laid eyes on.

  • Hi jeff my name is Leovigildo Mota im from the dominican republic and i watch your videos and i relly love them,to be honest i had learn o lot from your videos and i keep learning,i own a small gym here in D,R AND I HELP o lot of people using what i learned from your videos, you actually change the way i workout and train others, love your videos,i think you do a great job.

  • Its honestly so cool seeing how everyone has their own different workout. It makes me feel better about mine since its kinda a bunch of ranfom stuff

  • I need spoon to get back to a pro bowl level like he was at the beginning of the season. All love tho, I know he has dealt with injuries.

  • Great Video as always!

Would be nice if Jeff could upload an upper body version of an Football workout. I feel like there’s plenty of lower body stuff on yt, but not enough emphasis on upper body explosive workouts. Correct me if I’m wrong.
So please Jeff do an NFL upper body workout video! I could really use some tips on this topic:)

  • Hey Jeff, I’ve been watching your awesome vid’s for well over a year now. After just turning 44, I got an MRI. Soul-crushing news: I have a type 2 acromion. So basically, barring surgery, I don’t get to do anything fun anymore. Since I consider you to be my first and foremost authority on weight lifting and all-around fitness knowledge, I’ve been thinking for months how it would be so [email protected]#!&#% wonderful if you could please please please do a few really helpful videos articulating reasonably safe workouts for all those people out there who have been so unfairly cursed with a type-2 accromion like me. Thank you for everything you’ve done. Love your work man!

  • Jeff, I really like videos like this, where you ask the question “what do you want to do with those muscles?” It’s not just about pure size gains or increasing a metric, but making us better at the sports we are a part of. Thank you for advocating a more thoughtful approach to hitting the gym!

I have a sport-specific request for a topic: endurance athletes. I’m primarily a cyclist, but do a few longer-distance running events too (marathon-type stuff). I’m particularly interested in trying to get stronger as a cycling sprinter so I can get better performance at criterium races in 2020. I don’t want to gain too much weight, though, because every pound I gain is another pound I have to drag up a hill with me, so I fight to stay around 5’11” and 160lbs. It would be real cool if you could touch on the topic in a video sometime: explosive leg workouts tailored more for a person who keeps lean, low-weight musculature.

Thanks for doing what you do! Keep up the great work!

  • I’m crying only from watching… I guess he went home in a wheelchair after that workout… awesome to see that he goes beyond lifting only weights

  • Nice video, nice workout!
Is it possible to simulate the bicycle exercise with an usual spinning bike in the gym?

    Thanks and regards from Germany!

  • Listen I did this workout yesterday and didnt stretch afterwards like I know I should. Now my glutes are soooo tight I have alot of pain in my lower back is rediculous. Doing periodic stretches atm which is slowly helping. Be sure to stretch thoroughly afterwards guys lol

  • This is not real, what does Canadians know about football? I do not recall doing any of these workouts my whole life of playing high school football in my freshman year.

  • Its still astonish me just how a lot of people don’t know about Episoketren System despite the fact that many people improve their soccer skills using it using it. Thanks to my buddy who told me about this. I have improve my soccer skills.

  • Why don’t you guys put some old games on? Surely you’ve got some great old games that would be fun to watch. I don’t know anyone who is interested in the 5 minutes of junk your posting now.

  • Dude, I’m in 8th grade and have been following Jeffs workouts for about a year and have seen massive changes I bigger than the average junior football player and I’m coming in as a freshman lol Just found this and I am already sharing it with my friends at school thank you very much, sir!

  • The coach is really good at making this understandable for the average person like me haha. I can tell that Obi is definitely not very adept at a lot of these things but he is such a beast

  • When he was doing the cod box jump his knees caved inward and thats called knee valgus and jeff didn’t say a thing about it as a pro trainer he should immediately see it and for a pro nfl athletes who his knee cave as he half explode thats a shame‍♂️ weak abducters for an nfl player who will need them to explode and change direction fast without tearing his lcl

  • Some of these guys need Jeff cavalier!!
So Many things wrong with technique in these clips
Get the cameras out of there and get to work!!!!

  • Hey Jeff hopefully this is ok or an easy way to get your permission!

I created a Facebook group so that your following has a community to reach out to.

  • Yo KB looking good hopefully there is a season this year you gonna have a big season!!! Keep putting that work in. #LegendaryStatus.

  • 99.9% genetics. That work out is what 160lb skinny, no muscle average people do every day. This guy does it and he’s 250lbs of sculptured muscle. Looks like a bodybuilder.

  • That was intense. This vid also goes to show that looks ain’t everything. Obi may look like hercules but barely survived this explosive nfl workout which targets the body in a different way by emphasizing explosive strength, reactive quickness, agility, coordination, and power which entirely recruits type 2 fast-twitch fibers in the body. Athlete build is really something else and true beast power comes from within all athletes such as football and basketball players. The coach was amazing and Obi did his utmost best to do everything he could. Great work!!

  • KB what’s good my uso! NNNNNIIIINNNNEEEERRRRSSSS #GoNiners #NinersFaithful #NinersEmpire #NinersForLife #RevengeTour2020 God Bless
