  • hello, i just stumbled on this vid tonight. What amazes me, when u said, u eat 3000 calories a day!! I started at 238 lbs, 5’1″ tall, we wfpb vegan, no salt, oil, flour, alcohol, sugar or caffeine. I have lost 88 lbs, to date, 28 1/2 months now. I am 68 yr old & have low thyroid. I am stalled at 150 lbs, since i now need 1500 calories, but love to eat the same amount of food, since i am a volume eater, twice a day, til full, IF’ing from 5-6 p.m. to 12-1 p.m., no snacking.. You must burn a LOT of calories, I am more active than ever, but came from being nearly bed bound by life style illnesses, which i have healed tho. I once used a cane, & couldn’t walk 2 min’s with out resting, shuffling my feet like i was 80 something.. I have started my own little channel, letting pple know, that we can heal our bodies with changing what we eat.   • A couple years ago i injured my back while working and it took two months for me to return to work. If i never injured my back i wouldn’t have found out about the arthritis in my spine. The doctors weren’t helpful about how i can be in less pain. They just said that i had to be on pain relievers for the rest of my life. Because I knew i needed my kindeys, i looked on google for help. Thats when i found the Anti-Inflammatory diet! Mainly veggies and the meat (ideally just wild caught fish) (chicken and turkey) no red meat! When i was on it for a long time i felt amazing! I had no pain at all! I never had to take a single pain killer while on it. I dont remember what got me off it. But i returned to my old diet and gain all my weight and more. I was very fat growing up and everyone thought I’d be a big boy when I grew up and then I became addicted to drugs and lost a lot of weight and loved having a six pack so when I gave up drugs I started lifting weights and dieting and I looked super good but I picked up a new addiction which was cutting myself.   • Its so sad that this little girl didn’t like herself and blamed herself for her weight. Its not her fault. The parents didn’t seem to help when she needed it the most. Parents are not “loving” their children by feed them junk food or uses it as a “reward” to get them to do something. “Hey, if you clean your room for mommy, I’ll make you some cookies.” You know it happens. There always has to be a “want to” in you to change. Others can help you to lose weight, but if its not in you to change, it will never happen.     I watched your video last night and when you started crying my heart broke for you. I just wanted to hug you. I have the same issues with food and my body.   • I have trained as a bodybuilder for almost 5 years now. And I can say that this is BS. You can’t lose 15KG in 3 months without putting your body on a huge calorie deficits whilst also building lean muscle. The only way would be to lose approx 2kg a month with high protein intake to preserve the lean muscle you build threw out those 3 months. But then he’d only lose 6 kg and build a base layer of muscles.

    To be honest to me it looks more like 6 to 8 months. And for views he says 3 months.
    I smell BS.

  • All of that pain could have been avoided if the parents had taken control and set a good example from the beginning. I was one of those fat pudgy babies that some of you think is so cute! I find nothing cute about it. I’ve struggle with my weight all my life. My relationship with food is far more healthy as I’ve got older but losing weight is almost impossible. It takes me years to do what other manage so quickly. When I had my own children I vowed I’d never let them become fat. As a family we enjoy eating together and we love to talk about food but all the time they were growing up we had good square meals with no snacking in between unless you were really hungry then you ate a piece of fruit. As adults they maintain a healthy weight. Parents are the key to the good habits about eating. My heart goes out to this lady. What an inspiration she is but what a lot of un necessary pain and anguish she went through.

  • Great video man! Finally someone knowledgeable talking sense. I think it would make more sense to add a little extra cardio at the end of the cut, be it LISS or HIIT (which can tire you). But all in all as you said, it doesn’t matter how you create the calorie deficit, either through fewer calories or increasing a little cardio. Keep up the good work.

  • Great but i think getting lose skin depends on genetic. I’m 256 pounds now, started training first aprik this year about 271 pounds. My goal is 200 pounds but i don’t believe i will never get lose skin thanks to genetic and my childhood experience. I use to play fotball between my 18 and 23 i also use to do crzy powerlifting such as squats, deadlift, millitary press and bench press. This is amazing but i do love to understand ppl losing lots of weight short amount of time incrieasis the risk of getting extra skin. Why not insteat of just losing fat start building muscle and lose slowly fat at the same time. In sacenrio you would weight more and be more muscler and wouldn’t worry about lose skin.   • I’m glad you took the time to share your philosophy cos I think it’s really really important for people to know that this is so much more than a crash diet. You made such wonderful points about going slow and not being rigid which I completely agree with. As a physician, it’s hard for me to deny the science but I eat meat between 2-3times a month because it’s sometimes part of a social contract (if I go for dinner at a family member’s home and they slaved for hours on a meat dish for everyone to enjoy, I’d have a bite) cos I think a relaxed and healthy relationship with food is just as important for mental health as a healthy diet. This approach has actually helped my family to become more plant based without feeling threatened or daunted.
    I just wanted to say your body has such an amazing capacity to heal, you’ve witnessed this and I can tell you’re starting to understand and celebrate your body more (thanks for sharing this beautiful relationship with us). And by healing your body has clearly forgiven you for those years in college when you didn’t know better. I hope that soon you’ll be less hard on yourself for it, cos your body’s totally cool about it:)

  • Where are all the people who had a rough childhood? People who have no one to talk to and no family to be there for you. All the things this woman achieved, we can do as well (maybe without beeing that sentimental, that was a bit off). Even thougt it might be more difficult from the start, it is possible. What I did is to make one step at the time. It seriously helped. Starting by trusting people again and conquering the fear to ask for help. Most people out there are happy to support you. And with the right support group and new confidence you will definitely achieve your goals:)

  • The end result looks like anorexia. I am a long distance runner and when I was at 7.7% BF, I looked muscular and healthy, anything but anorexic.

Shes every guys “I like her but shes big” and every girls “if she was skinny she’d be real competition”… I was that girl and heard both of those shallow comments from “friends” I was way confident though and it made me a little different. I didn’t hit the reality of being big until I had kids and now at 30 married with 3 young boys I’m working up to my surgery date.   • I started my Whole food plant based lifestyle may 28th. I was super obese and had weight loss surgery to lose weight. I lost a total of 160 lbs but still eating the sad diet. My mental health was still terrible so we increased my meds. The meds increased my appetite causing a 50 lb weight increase over like 4 months. That was like a year ago. May 28 that day we had our first WFPB meal. Since then I have taken up running again and biking. I have lost some weight but you are right it’s about how you feel and look

  • Good video, thank you for sharing. I’ve only recently started my plant based journey a few month’s ago and so far so good. Although I’ve only lost about 10 pnds to date, the greater accomplishment is the decrease in daily headaches which has plagued my life for almost 2 decades. Ultimately I want to transition to a majority raw diet, but not rushing the process. Sustainability is the goal.

  • Your story really hits home for me. I had high cholesterol as a small child and always conscious of what I was eating because of it. My family and I never knew what we thought was helping wasn’t. It wasn’t until my Dad was diagnosed with cancer that we really started looking at what we ate and if eating could be medicine. I had to work my way toward a fully vegan lifestyle and I still struggle with cravings but I know what my body really needs. Its so nice to follow someone who has had a similar journey. I am trying to cut out dairy and processed wheat from my family what’s the best replacements to start this with as the first step of my journey? Should I start elsewhere?

    I am 24, 165cm, 55kgs. I have 188% fat around my belly and hips and much skinny on the upper body. Have good calfs as I have played sports most of my life.

    Do I first gain the muscle mass or do I first drop the higher fat percentage I have?

    I’m pretty much vegan I had to move last week and ate the way I used to and felt horrible so back to vegan for me.

  • Brilliant video. Iv just come across your channel. I was a meat eater then went veggie then vegan for 2 years.

    I then met my bf, hes south african and enjoys his meat and i wasnt will powered enough to stick to my vegan diet.

    To be honest i dont eat tons of meat, most of the time its fish aand eggs.

    But currently im on a week away doing a petsitting job and having time to reflect alone. I know something needs to change and my ethics are messed up.

    Im planning to go back to the vegan diet asap and your video is motivating. Like yourself iv gained weight and unfortunately due to being overworked on my feet and possibly the weight i got chronic plantar fasciitis in my foot making it hard to do stand or walk… so my exercise has been limited. Iv recently got an exercise bike and hoping i can lose weight on that as well as a plant based diet. Atm im still tracking calories on my fitness pal app. X

  • We have had ripped bodies since 1940’s.Counting calories starting a couple of years ago.Go figure,,,Don’t believe in calorie counting,Eat 60-70 gms of protein per day in divided meals,eat low carbs and lot of veggies….

  • But why we need to burn calories? ��, We get colories from every nitrition like fats, carbs, protein, & when if we burn calories, that doesn’t burning our proteins too?? I am confused plz can any one explain me plz��❤️����
