Check out these ideas to keep yourself on track throughout the dog-days of summer! Set Tangible Goals. Giving yourself measurable objectives to work towards will refuel your commitment to fitness.
For example, you could say you want to lift five more pounds after two weeks, or you hope to run a seven-minute mile by the end of August. Look for vacation activities that burn calories such as hiking, surfing, or any other fun summer activity. If you’re planning to stay at a hotel, find one with a fitness room and remember to pack your gym clothes.
Bring along lightweight workout equipment, such as resistance bands. Don’t assume that working out will ruin your trip. Track your progress: Hold yourself accountable to your fitness schedule, and make a point to journal every workout.
You don’t have to buy a crazy app or fitness-specific journal. The easiest way to stay committed to fitness, stay healthy and fit without constantly getting off track, is to integrate it into your daily life and make it something you do by default like brushing your teeth in the morning, after all it’s just as much of an investment in your health. I’m current 15st after having a baby 6 months ago. I was 12st before the baby . I have only done 3 of your videos so far, im left dripping in sweat and can only just get through them but unlike other videos I am actually able to get to the end. Its the first time iv been able to do that, iv always been left disheartened because I couldn’t quite keep up or finish the video. Really random, but i really wanted to share the gospel with whoever is reading: Many are so confused also about the gospel, so let me help you as well as God permits me to: i am genuinely writing this because i am afraid also you are not an actual born again christian: if i asked you the question: “how do you get to heaven?” Would you answer me that being a good person can earn you the happines of God and you will enter heaven? The Bible states that no one is good: we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, you have very probably at least once in your life lied, or stolen something even if it was small, probably you have often used God’s name in vain (as in omg) which is called blasphemy, you have for sure had sexual thoughts about someone, so to sum it all up: you would be a lying, thieving blasphemus adulteror at heart, which is only 4 of the 10 commandments and you probably have broken them all. And for this we deserve hell! One single sin is enough to send you to hell. And by doing good deeds, like loving everyone helping people ecc… we can not possibly cancel our previous sins and gain the favour of God. The only way we can get to heaven is through the Lord Jesus! I will explain that better: God has His Holy and just wrath prepared to fall upon all sinners, and we completely deserve that, but in God’s infinite mercy He sent his only begotten Son to live a perfect life on this earth (something we could not possibly do ourselves) and to finally die on the cross bearing our sins and taking upon Himself the wrath of God that was supposed to be for us! True conversion is realizing that we are completely lost and putting our whole trust in the Lord Jesus and we will be cleansed by His blood, because He already bore our sins! In this way The Father will see us as pure through Jesus! As proof of our salvation we will automatically start hating the sin we once were slaves to and we will love God and His commandements! This doesn’t mean that we won’t be tempted by our past sins but if we get overcomed by temptation we will still hate the sin that we fall into. That is the gospel! And that is the only way you get to heaven and a few understand it. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast
The easiest thing in the world is growing and bettering yourself through exercise. All this motivational claptrap doesn’t prepare you for real life. Dramatic music and people working out in the gym are nothing but shallow clips. Anybody come a decent body… that is not so true measure of success in this world

Honestly thanks a lot for this video, I came across it through a notification of the NRC app and since the park near my home I normally do my runs is closed, I gave this training a try. Before reading the rest of this comment, read it from a light hearted point of view. My friend Emma is my yoga teacher and watching Adrienne in this session this morning at 5:30,brought back memories of how much torture yoga can be,(chuckle,chuckle). My wrists don’t know what hit them this morning but I carried on until the end of the video, this is definiately a session I need do regularly to get better core strength, as for my wrists,well they’ll have to suck it up I’m afraid. This practice was hard for me today, couldn’t hold the downward dog as I usually would as my shoulders were not having it today. But sticked through it till the end, even my hands were shaking while in namaste haha.
This was a really good workout, really got my heart and my sweat going! The best part is the optional workouts from the people in the back. I had a hip replacement over 3 years ago and finding workouts is sometimes hard. I def going to keep trying out these videos!!

I really love this video. I’m an obese stay at home mom. I never realized how bad I was until my son took my picture vacuuming. I wanted to cry. In my mind I wasn’t this big. So I searched YouTube for videos I can do at home and watch my kiddos. The first time was great. I was sweating and pushing myself all the way. The second day was rough. My body was burning! When you march I jog. When you stopped to talk I marched. Two thumbs up here! I will continue to do this workout daily. Thank you!
I feel happier, for real. I felt miserable today, but cardio always works. I recommend it to everyone, just three-four times a week and I can tell you it really makes a difference. I also recommend you to do a half an hour of stretching after cardio. Good luck!

Not a struggle? Oh how it was, at least the first half, my shoulders were hurting so bad. Does anyone have advice on sore shoulders while doing upper body strength? The second half of this practice was very yummy for me!
This was my first working and I loved it. I have been doing weight watchers and have lost 23 lbs but I struggle with exercising. I try to walk outside but the Texas heat is too much to handle this time of year. Thank you.
Thank you for making exercise fun and motivated. I am 71 years old and love to get out on my bike or paddleboard. I haven’t been able to do either for a month and now have moved to Israel where I am in my 2 week isolation. Your excellent low impact workouts are exactly what I need to get back in shape and I believe I’ll continue to follow them for quite some time, even after I am back to the outside activities. It DOES rain sometimes. lol

I ususally like all videos with Adriene but I don’t know why I was not fond of this one in particular maybe because there were too many repetitions and I got even a bit angry while doing the same abs exercise for 4 minutes because I felt some discomfort in my legs so I stopped after three minutes. I suppose it is fine to be a bit upset and it might be the reflection of our day (although mine was really a nice one!). Nevertheless thank you for this practice 😉

I’ve had a horrible relationship with exercise ever since I was a kid (I’m really tall and was so, so self conscious moving around) but the past two weeks I’ve fallen back in love with my body. This is the most exercise I’ve ever done, literally, since I had to at school and I never could have imagined giggling through a workout like this! I was scared of doing this and skipped it on the Courage calendar. Felt super groggy today and decided to do it to snap me out of the funk without thinking too much. It was a great WAKE UP call to my core, body and mind. Feeling accomplished (because I tackled something I was scared of, and turns out it was doable, with a little modification because my wrists hurt even though they don’t usually felt even better for being kind to myself and finding a way that works instead of berating myself or questioning my progress) and so energetic! I started your low impact beginner workout and have been consistent for a week now… It has been fantastic as I love every bit of it and use it every day. The Music choice through the workout is great as it inspires me to go on. My wife has caught the bug encouraging me to go for my class each day as my general fitness has improved. I have recommended it to a few friends.

I did this workout yesterday after like 10 days of lazy break from yoga and I hardly kept up. I did it again today and I almost did it completely (I took some breaks). I’ve also been personally tracking my progression on FitPal but unable to calculate how many calories I burn during your workout. Do you have an approximate number for that? I really struggle with the downward dog pose. I can’t “anchor” my foot because my heels don’t touch the ground so all the weight is on the top of my foot. I also always get sweaty hands while doing it and then slide on the mat. Anyone else got these problems? Thank you and Namaste.
Wonderful core practice and today I stuck to it not letting myself get frustrated or doubt my ability and that made so much of a difference like it never stops amazing me how much our mind and intention affects how we practice and for that I am grateful to u Adriene for always reminding us to set an intention and breathe and stay open so thank u Much love Namaste and good night ❤

I dont want to eat and train for the perfect body. To much pain. Currently working on my goal to have a healthy bmi. 1.8 kg to go. Then i lost 15 kg in total. I’ll keep my food journal for maintainance but that is good enough for me. I will still be 6 kg lighter then the average male person in my country.
Ugh I really need to do my assignments that I got through quarantine and I also have school in like 2 weeks. But I litteraly procrastinate allot especially when I can’t sleep a lot of the time through the night. But these videos help me a lot to get my motivation up even by just a little.
I have a serious question regarding back arching during exercises. My back is mostly glued to the floor while I’m exercising with you, but there are some exercises like flatter kicks, scissors or the one at 26:50 while my back is arching so bad. Do you know why this happens? Am I doing sth wrong?

Adriene, this practice, I think, is the toughest from my Core List. At 73 with arthritis in hands and feet I need to adjust to parts of this sequence for comfort and to meet my edge. So note to my senior yogi friends, for me for the first half, upper body, I used forearms and I had some short rests in between but the second half on our backs was super yummy for me as I love building core strength in this way and I found it easy. We can do this, it’s so good for our self esteem. I think tomorrow’s practice is excellent for my inner health, see you on the mat ♀️♀️
Wow! This video is a bit of a killer! I gave it a good go yesterday reckon I managed to do half of it and today my abs are really sore! I’m going to keep working at it though. I love Adriene’s videos. and I am getting better (very slowly)

Not related to the video but. Primary school: doesn’t let you use the calculator because they won’t let you use it in high school High school: you forget your calculator for you Ph&Ch exam and panic and ask everybody if they have an extra calculator and then get scolded by the teacher.

During the “COURAGE” challenge, I discovered how my body can surprise me, and how much I was pulling myself back, and avoiding intense practices. it feels AMAZING when you finish such an intense practice. Thank you Adriene for being who you are.

Really random, but i really wanted to share the gospel with whoever is reading:
Many are so confused also about the gospel, so let me help you as well as God permits me to: i am genuinely writing this because i am afraid also you are not an actual born again christian: if i asked you the question: “how do you get to heaven?” Would you answer me that being a good person can earn you the happines of God and you will enter heaven?
The Bible states that no one is good: we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, you have very probably at least once in your life lied, or stolen something even if it was small, probably you have often used God’s name in vain (as in omg) which is called blasphemy, you have for sure had sexual thoughts about someone, so to sum it all up: you would be a lying, thieving blasphemus adulteror at heart, which is only 4 of the 10 commandments and you probably have broken them all. And for this we deserve hell! One single sin is enough to send you to hell.
And by doing good deeds, like loving everyone helping people ecc… we can not possibly cancel our previous sins and gain the favour of God.
The only way we can get to heaven is through the Lord Jesus! I will explain that better:
God has His Holy and just wrath prepared to fall upon all sinners, and we completely deserve that, but in God’s infinite mercy He sent his only begotten Son to live a perfect life on this earth (something we could not possibly do ourselves) and to finally die on the cross bearing our sins and taking upon Himself the wrath of God that was supposed to be for us!
True conversion is realizing that we are completely lost and putting our whole trust in the Lord Jesus and we will be cleansed by His blood, because He already bore our sins! In this way The Father will see us as pure through Jesus! As proof of our salvation we will automatically start hating the sin we once were slaves to and we will love God and His commandements! This doesn’t mean that we won’t be tempted by our past sins but if we get overcomed by temptation we will still hate the sin that we fall into.
That is the gospel! And that is the only way you get to heaven and a few understand it.

The easiest thing in the world is growing and bettering yourself through exercise. All this motivational claptrap doesn’t prepare you for real life. Dramatic music and people working out in the gym are nothing but shallow clips. Anybody come a decent body… that is not so true measure of success in this world

Honestly thanks a lot for this video, I came across it through a notification of the NRC app and since the park near my home I normally do my runs is closed, I gave this training a try. Took me a few attempts to keep up until the end but still feels better every time, guess I should do such workouts too in the future and not just runs:-)

Before reading the rest of this comment, read it from a light hearted point of view. My friend Emma is my yoga teacher and watching Adrienne in this session this morning at 5:30,brought back memories of how much torture yoga can be,(chuckle,chuckle). My wrists don’t know what hit them this morning but I carried on until the end of the video, this is definiately a session I need do regularly to get better core strength, as for my wrists,well they’ll have to suck it up I’m afraid. I think this will always be my favorite core workout. I was so excited to see it on the Courage calendar for today. It always makes me sore, and even with how often I have done it, it still is a challenge. But it is still so good. Thank you Adriene!
Wow! This woman is amazing. I just saw her in a segment on CBS This Morning and rushed to find her. Hoping to find the 10 minute workout that she did on the show because this one looks a little intense for a beginner like me. I should start slow and work up to 50 mins. Thanks for the videos!

I really love this video. I’m an obese stay at home mom. I never realized how bad I was until my son took my picture vacuuming. I wanted to cry.
In my mind I wasn’t this big. So I searched YouTube for videos I can do at home and watch my kiddos.
The first time was great. I was sweating and pushing myself all the way. The second day was rough. My body was burning!
When you march I jog. When you stopped to talk I marched.

I feel happier, for real. I felt miserable today, but cardio always works. I recommend it to everyone, just three-four times a week and I can tell you it really makes a difference. I also recommend you to do a half an hour of stretching after cardio. Good luck!

Not a struggle? Oh how it was, at least the first half, my shoulders were hurting so bad. Does anyone have advice on sore shoulders while doing upper body strength? The second half of this practice was very yummy for me!
This was my first working and I loved it. I have been doing weight watchers and have lost 23 lbs but I struggle with exercising. I try to walk outside but the Texas heat is too much to handle this time of year. Thank you.

Thank you for making exercise fun and motivated. I am 71 years old and love to get out on my bike or paddleboard. I haven’t been able to do either for a month and now have moved to Israel where I am in my 2 week isolation. Your excellent low impact workouts are exactly what I need to get back in shape and I believe I’ll continue to follow them for quite some time, even after I am back to the outside activities. It DOES rain sometimes. lol
I have been following your “Home day 1 yoga journey”, then I followed the rest of the videos. I’m glad I CAN SURVIVE this one! I ususally like all videos with Adriene but I don’t know why I was not fond of this one in particular maybe because there were too many repetitions and I got even a bit angry while doing the same abs exercise for 4 minutes because I felt some discomfort in my legs so I stopped after three minutes. I suppose it is fine to be a bit upset and it might be the reflection of our day (although mine was really a nice one!). Nevertheless thank you for this practice 😉

Most the core targeted sessions kick my butt! And I cuss and I yell and I grunt but I do not stop! I finish and then I come back for more. But I feel so proud of my sad and pathetic form. Definitely needed a lot of #courage to press play on this video today. It was very tough but stuck with it and amazed at how my body surprised me. I’ve had a horrible relationship with exercise ever since I was a kid (I’m really tall and was so, so self conscious moving around) but the past two weeks I’ve fallen back in love with my body. This is the most exercise I’ve ever done, literally, since I had to at school and I never could have imagined giggling through a workout like this! I’m working my way through the Courage playlist and trying not to skip anything. Thankyou Adriene for your warmth and inclusivity, you’ve genuinely changed the way I treat my body ♥️
I was scared of doing this and skipped it on the Courage calendar. Felt super groggy today and decided to do it to snap me out of the funk without thinking too much. It was a great WAKE UP call to my core, body and mind. Feeling accomplished (because I tackled something I was scared of, and turns out it was doable, with a little modification because my wrists hurt even though they don’t usually felt even better for being kind to myself and finding a way that works instead of berating myself or questioning my progress) and so energetic! I started your low impact beginner workout and have been consistent for a week now… It has been fantastic as I love every bit of it and use it every day. The Music choice through the workout is great as it inspires me to go on. My wife has caught the bug encouraging me to go for my class each day as my general fitness has improved. I have recommended it to a few friends.
I hurt my wrist in the first half, so had to skip some moments from each pose, but I completed the second half. One day at a time!

I did this workout yesterday after like 10 days of lazy break from yoga and I hardly kept up. I did it again today and I almost did it completely (I took some breaks). Maybe tomorrow I can do it even better.

Lol I did an hour long online Pilates class before I saw that the video today was Core. I forgot but I did it anyway. Boy did I work my body today. I’m gonna treat myself to some frozen yogurt.
This was a TOUGH one, but whenever it gets tough for me, I just think about how great its going to feel when I’m done and we do the relaxing and gentle poses at the end. Also, June calendar people, where ya at??? Loved this

Hi there!! I’ve been doing this workout for the past week and I love it. It’s been more motivating to me and I feel wonderful after. I’ve also been personally tracking my progression on FitPal but unable to calculate how many calories I burn during your workout. Do you have an approximate number for that? Sorry if someone already asked.
I really struggle with the downward dog pose. I can’t “anchor” my foot because my heels don’t touch the ground so all the weight is on the top of my foot. I also always get sweaty hands while doing it and then slide on the mat.

I like your reminder of not tightening the upper body when you work your lower body. I realized that everything on my upper body was tight when it didn’t need to be.

I dont want to eat and train for the perfect body. To much pain. Currently working on my goal to have a healthy bmi. 1.8 kg to go. Then i lost 15 kg in total. I’ll keep my food journal for maintainance but that is good enough for me. I will still be 6 kg lighter then the average male person in my country.
Ugh I really need to do my assignments that I got through quarantine and I also have school in like 2 weeks. But I litteraly procrastinate allot especially when I can’t sleep a lot of the time through the night. But these videos help me a lot to get my motivation up even by just a little.

I have a serious question regarding back arching during exercises. My back is mostly glued to the floor while I’m exercising with you, but there are some exercises like flatter kicks, scissors or the one at 26:50 while my back is arching so bad. Do you know why this happens? Am I doing sth wrong?

Adriene, this practice, I think, is the toughest from my Core List. At 73 with arthritis in hands and feet I need to adjust to parts of this sequence for comfort and to meet my edge. So note to my senior yogi friends, for me for the first half, upper body, I used forearms and I had some short rests in between but the second half on our backs was super yummy for me as I love building core strength in this way and I found it easy. We can do this, it’s so good for our self esteem. I think tomorrow’s practice is excellent for my inner health, see you on the mat ♀️♀️
Wow! This video is a bit of a killer! I gave it a good go yesterday reckon I managed to do half of it and today my abs are really sore! I’m going to keep working at it though. I love Adriene’s videos. and I am getting better (very slowly)

High school: you forget your calculator for you Ph&Ch exam and panic and ask everybody if they have an extra calculator and then get scolded by the teacher.

During the “COURAGE” challenge, I discovered how my body can surprise me, and how much I was pulling myself back, and avoiding intense practices. it feels AMAZING when you finish such an intense practice. Thank you Adriene for being who you are.
