  • As soon we cry out to God by asking
Why we are physically here on this earth. He’ll graciously give us our purposes. Then we’ll find our purpose

  • Dear Marisa, I’ve decided to take the challenge and started doing what you’re suggesting in this video. I’ll let you know when the magic happens! But for now, I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. It’s helping me.

  • Many thanks, I’ve been looking for “setting life goals” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about Conoah Goalify Gotchie (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? Ive heard some great things about it and my buddy got excellent results with it.

  • Thank you for this!
I deemed this the year the year I learn how to commit to myself. Which means all my dreams and goals are recieving full commitment by me and things have transformed powerfully in just 3 months. I’ve never been healthier, happier, and felt more alive. Commit and watch what happens.

  • I just found your channel here, aw I feel emotionally happy, your silent intonation makes my heart cry ( in good way) I feel from you a lots of love…. and your mind, your thoughts about life it’s really makes sense. I want to send hug to you and say thank you to making my day happy xx

  • Wow seriously everythings happening According to law of attraction……guys attract to good things visualize everyday….u will get plan step by step u will notice how this all happening.. that’s law of attraction….u will get information from infinite intelligence…share some love knowledge within you everywhere..that’s wat universe loves…luv guys..

    Sensacional, simples e direto!

  • Marissadid you see The Weight of Gold? I never realized the pressure the Olympic athletes have, especially when their very short-lived career is over. Their physical health, stamina, endurance, and disipline is all something we admire. No one ever wants to talk about their mental health. I cried when I watched how many of them had dealt with depression, thoughts of suicide, and those who, even after achieving success had taken their own lives. My brother committed suicide a few years ago. He never realized any of his dreamsso he thought he ‘was a loser’ (he had also lost a woman he cared about very much who committed suicide a month earlier) But I think it’s more than that.More han just our thoughts. There are people who do have mental illness. Yet we stillin the 21st century-believe it doesn’t exist. That we can somehow “will’ ourselves out of it. Or we’re somehow ‘weak’ or being a certain way (very sad, hopeless, ‘lazy’,angry, w/ no motivation or caring anymore about anything) on purpose. I’ve dealt with this for years We look up to ahletes or other successful people for this very reason.”They don’t behave that way because they’re successful.’ But they’re also human beings. The sad part is they and many of us, really have no where to go.You’ve said before-among other outside identities-that we are not what we do, our jobs, our looks, our bank accounts. Sorry this is so longsomething has to change.

  • Deploying #OKRs & hand-holding several #highperformance organizations to develop #OKRpractices, we continue to see at least 2 prominent trends for organizations aspiring to go the #OKRway: a) Far too many organization fail long before they get started; b) Secondly, there is a difference between being #OKRReady & being #OKRChampion. These organizations fall short before ever reaching the level of maturity where their organization is fully aligned and transparent, accomplishing their goals with a collaborative, cross-functional approach.

That’s what led to The Brew’s OKR Capability Maturity Index ( https://thebrew.in/okr-capability-maturity-index-okr-champion-unlock-value/), objectively gauging across 10 elemental dimensions of OKR methodology, it helps leaders & organizations ascertain critical gaps to reach program maturity, realizing the fullest potential of #organizationaldevelopment. #measurewhatmatters

Also, see if this tipping point reads on OKRs, drawing on our experiences & observations – sums up the transformational nature, its application, the best practices & it’s deployment.

    a) Key Lessons learnt from OKR Case Studies: While the transformational OKR sound simplistic at a conceptual level, there is a lot under the hood that crystallizes when one set’s foot on the OKR journey (essentially, bcos more than a management concept, OKRs are more of a philosophy – culminating in to behaviors, one has to subscribe to it in spirit & actions) – not to sound preachy, but often these reflections come back in the face, should any of these be overlooked from OKR deployment playbook.( https://thebrew.in/key-lessons-from-okr-case-studies/)#OKRCasestudies

    b) The Ultimate OKR Checklist for high performance OKR deployment – 11 step comprehensive guide to reap best results from OKRs ( https://thebrew.in/the-ultimate-okr-checklist-for-best-okr-results/) #UltimateOKRChecklist

    c) A 6 part comprehensive OKR Manual on demystifying OKRs: Across these 6 part read, we demystify Objectives – Key results, from theory (Part 1), it’s application & good OKR examples (Part 2), the best practices (Part 3), to it’s deployment (Part 4), the common mistakes (Part 5) and OKR Tracking & OKR CFR (Part 6) #OKRManual #OKRGuide See all of it here: https://thebrew.in/demystifying-okrs-get-best-value-objectives-key-results/

Summing it up, #OKRs are simply transformational! When deployed to its potential, it not only enables teams to contribute to organizational objectives directly, but also establishes broad alignment, accountability, autonomy, focus & transparency across the entire organization.

  • Loved this video, really needed to hear this. the universe brought me to this video for a reason. Keep up the good work, your home is lovely by the way!

  • Hello! Please talk about how to gain respect of others. You are amazing! I even like your tone of voice and the fact that you don’t hurry when speaking. Thank you!

  • We don’t know what the result is until we define the objective. Here John demonstrates how great leaders were able to clearly use OKR. It is inspiring when a human being has the goal of changing the world, that is to dream big.

  • Wow, this is very profound. I found a related piece of writing online.

  • My goal is to get thousands of wealthy pretty women pregnant thru great sex, free will and consent with no moral or legal bindings against me but financial compensation for my services!

  • Many thanks, been searching for “how to attain goals” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Conoah Goalify Gotchie (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? Ive heard some super things about it and my cousin got great success with it.

  • This guy story gives no excuse to people who are saying my time is not gonna cover me. He has an amazingly inspiring story. This shows you how endless we as human beings and how god compactly created our brains to achieve such a things.

  • I discovered your book “How to be thin” 8 years ago and you helped change my life. I continue to be inspired by you and am considering your therapy course training as part of a new career. I’m so glad you have your own YouTube channel now

Exemplo do Google, genial!

  • Dear Marisa,
Thank you so much! You’re so inspiring and I feel that I’m changing day after day thanks to your very precious advice!
In this video you ask us to take just one goal, but what should I do if I actually feel that I have more than one goal? For example a huge carreer goal but also a huge relationship goal? Do I have to wait to achieve just one goal before I can work on another one? How should we proceed when we have more than one goal?

  • Excelente!

  • Marisa You Are Wonderful! This is Perfect! It brings it all together clearly logically & simply. This is going to be so much Fun! Thankyou & much love & appreciation flowing to you through me ♥️

  • I have bought both his audible books And I love Them. I hope he is getting better. All the best to Jordan and his family. Thank You.

  • This looks so beautiful but impossible as a mother. Children are the unpredictableness off the universe. They don’t follow rules of systems. They destroy structure and I love them so much that I will absolutely allow it. Unfortunately, this means 18+ years of giving up yourself for your little humans. I enjoy the beauty of this video but accept that my life will remain chaotic so long as I choose my children over me, which will ALWAYS be the case. #momlife

  • Thank you Marisa for ALL the fabulous videos you are sharing right now! I’m now watching/listening at least once a day and go back to the ones i get ‘a hit’ to repeat. Love your voice and often feel like i am in a deep state of receptivity when listening. You are a Gem Ms Marisa:-) x I just Love All these Reminders of Who I Truly Am. I am writing my first book, to COMPLETION, and many of your videos pertain to this. Continued Blessings for you and thanks also for your delightful sense of humour! When all this virus is done and dusted, sure hope you come to Australia again:D Cheers.

  • Dearest Marisa, thank you for this priceless devotion of yours to inspire and light the flames across the universe to help us all fulfill our potential. I love everything you stand for. Thank you for teaching me how to create my beautiful and sweet reality ❤️

  • Thank you Marisa, I’ve been feeling frustrated by understanding the techniques fully and along came your video! #attherighttime #synchronicity
    Thank you ❤

  • I’m getting ready to create my long term goals and vision board for 2019. Great video. I was going to do SMART goals. Thank you for showing me about SMARTER goals. Great insight!

  • the reward principle is a great addition. I really liked the fact that I would be able to buy a thing I would never allow myself! Like a very expensive pair of jeans and 100$ in Russia is pretty expensive. Thank you. This is a great video.

  • I haven’t watched the video yet. But, I’m going to say this, not to discourage anyone setting goals and pursuing things in life. I’m posting it here, because this is the first video that popped up on the topic. I’m also posting it, because I’m feeling fairly irritated right now.

Anyway, has anyone found that some of the people who make it out there are idiots that don’t actually do anything? We all know successful people, who’ve worked their tails off to get where they are. But, have you come across people who you just wonder how they get by? It’s like it works by that saying, “God takes care of fools and babies.”

It’s pretty irritating. I can’t say I’m the hardest working person out there and I can’t say that I’ve had the toughest life. But, I come across people who, I wonder just how they get by with the wits they have. They may either know nothing or someone gives them things they never worked for. In my situation with my narcissistic mother, I did all of the work for all these decades so, my sister, who was never around and never did anything, including help with the family business, is getting a free house and she’ll likely inherit the one I was to get, as well. But, there are other people who, they don’t even think past their next meal. If you asked them what they wanted out of life, what their goals were or what they were pursuing, it wouldn’t simply be that they just hadn’t taken stock of their lives, but that they would have absolutely “0” idea of what you’re talking about. For them, life isn’t a pursuit of anything. It is simply existing. It’s going to a job everyday, only knowing to do what you’re told and that’s it. While I can’t entirely say that I can fully answer that question for myself either, since so much has gone awry, I at least know that I’m SUPPOSED to be pursuing something. It’s like Zombie Land out there. Like, as long as people have Netflix, the only other pursuits are eating and sleeping and they think it’s normal. No fire in the belly whatsoever. If you ask them what they want, you’ve just interrupted their emptiheadedness. The idea seems to be to live, breath, then die.

My guess is also that we’ll never have to worry about GBI becoming a part of our lives as, so many of us are so brain dead now, when you HAVE to pursue earning an income, just why would they do if they didn’t have to?

And I also think that many people either think that, as the human race, we’ve already evolved far enough that nothing needs to be done, at least by themselves.

I’ll say that this mindset probably does save lives, to an extent, though. Because, when you go to a job everyday, and you don’t recognize that you’re losing time, since life’s only value seems to be to exist, you’ve got to be pretty numb. Things don’t frustrate you because, well, nothing actually matters.

There are times when I’d like this form of thinking to rub off on me but, it mostly feels like psychological, spiritual, and emotional soot, which I can’t bring myself to respect.

    Any thoughts?

  • this is one of the best tedtalks I’ve watched
literally cuts to the chase that fears must be faced and when they are faced they won’t keep you stuck anymore

  • Hahah this guy is one of the best comedians on the planet.
To sum it up, just don’t waste your time, it is a resource, you can use to build, or destroy your life.

  • This guy genuinely cares about each individual in the world. He doesn’t care about any political side but the people in this world

  • Reminds me of the butterfly effect, which is defined by Merriam-Webster as “a property of chaotic systems (such as the atmosphere) by which small changes in initial conditions can lead to large-scale and unpredictable variation in the future state of the system.” The little decisions I made before watching this talk brought me to this very precise moment. Right here. Right now. Think the universe will never notice when you’re gone? You’re wrong. We may be but a ripple in the ocean, but that ripple wouldn’t happen if it weren’t for us being a part of it. You matter.

  • It took me about 4 years before i became “good” at goal setting.I think that is another information missing in most goal setting teachings. The truth that just like any other skill, it will take a few years before a person masters the art of goal setting. So stop feeling overwhelmed if you are just starting to practice goal setting, just like any art, it will take time to master.

  • If you’re interested a bit more in the mechanics of how it works (esp. at Google), I found this talk very inspiring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJB83EZtAjc

  • i think the first “R” in S.M.A.R.T.E.R. should be realistic instead of relatable. most people can’t realistically lose 20 pounds in just a week, so instead if you make your goal more achievable and set it to at first lose 5 pounds in a week, then you’ll have the motivation to keep it up and eventually lose those 20 pounds piece by piece.

  • I’ll never go to sleep again woman! do not be fooled, Most women do not have the man in your best interest! men and women are different. take responsibility for you on health! another sleezy way for people to add a bill to you and get rich off of it! • Hi Marissa, love your work.
I want two things simultaneously because I feel they need each other to work. Is it okay to set the goal “I am successful at everything I do including letting go of excess fat and earning $$$ by the 1st of December 2020”. Possible?

  • To all reading this:

May you achieve all your dreams and may your parents live longer. <3

Hi, I’m really close to achieving my goal hitting 100 subs before 2021. And every subs eill be appreciated.

  • I’ve added another page to my goal book….
    Record successful outcomes
eg a coincidence, an idea, a conversation, a compliment, the outcome of a risk taken, anything & everything relating to your goal…

  • i had read both compund effect and desgin the best year of your life aswell as just shut up and do it something recurring in all of them is daily habits and well darren reccomends soemthing quite interesting he says that we should limit our heads to everything that isnt productive and instead replace them with productive, inspirational or instructional or listen to and basically like good stuff to expose yourself too would you agree?

  • I’m so happy that i can finally embrace financial freedom. And only Charles made it possible, I actually earned my salary within a couple of days. I never believed i could gain so much in Binary Options. Mr @Charles_forex09 on Instagram is the right one to help you get financial freedom goto him for assistance.

  • Thank you so much for this priceless advice, Marisa! I’ve written my goals and have been reading them and working towards them every day for nearly a month now. Waiting for the magic as I know it’s only a matter of time.

Also, the kitten cameo is a glorious touch!!

  • Phenomenal speaker, phenomenal message, phenomenal comments by y’all. This speech just made me love life. I am already into pushpin art and some 20 other life goals, something I always dreamed of uptaking but wondered how and when!

  • This is my favourite Tim Ferris speech, I use ‘We suffer more often in imagination than in reality’ to help me make any kind of tricky decision and ‘Easy Choices Hard Life. Hard Choices Easy Life’ is something I think about a LOT. Great work Tim!

  • watching this for the second time a few weeks later and I noticed that the first time I was so concentrated on writing my goal that I didn’t even notice the kitten!! that’s how you know something is working:’P

    Excelente Conteudo!

    Obrigado por compartilhar!

  • This is just superb, I have been researching “how to reach your goals” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Farnicaas Switcher Capitalisation (just google it )? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for learning how to buy and sell gold without the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my old buddy Taylor after a lifetime of fighting got great success with it.

  • Love your video. I just published my motivational quotes book hope you can check it out! https://www.amazon.com/Days-Motivational-Quotes-Youanna-Ibrahim/dp/B08FKSHDD3/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

  • I really hope this helps. I’ve struggled with motivation and the like for years, but I’ve noticed a genuine increase in the skill of goal setting and pursuing my ambitions within the past year or so. I’m far from where I want to be, and I’ve failed and fallen back several times, but the general trend is an uptick and I hope this strategy is the next step for me. THank you.

  • They are different goals in my eyes:
Sport goals: what do you want to train, and archive in sport.
Learngoals:What do you want to learn, history, biologie. To increase your brain power.
Wheight goals:How much do you want to lose wight?
And painting gaols, what you want to paint.
Language goals: Which new language do you want to learn?

Goals give you a meaning to life.

  • I loved this video so so much. I always felt like the whole idea of goals is great but the much bigger and easier idea to integrate is the process of setting up systems. Loved how you drew important lessons from the book and talked about how you personally integrate these lessons into your life. OH and I love your mom, reminds me of my mom.

  • YOU HAVE BECOME RELEVANT BY BEING IRRELEVANT. YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT.. BECAUSE I AM IRRELEVANT TO YOU.. THE SAME WAY YOU ARE NOW NOT IRRELEVANT TO EVERYBODY ELSE!

  • Here’s an alternative model for goal-setting, more oriented around meaning, motivation, and authenticity: https://theintentional.net/2020/01/23/whats-makes-a-good-goal-a-new-model-for-consciously-choosing-goals/

  • This bullshit is typical of people who threw the dice and won.
Many throw the dice and lose everything.
When consequences are unknown, your moves are nothing more than gambles,
    Not philosophical triumphs.
I am a devout and lifelong stoic. Cheers

  • This video taught me that all the most fascinating things done by people are just that, done by people. I learned not only that but that all the most fascinating things consist of small tasks and parts that can be broken down to their components and digested easily. I want to write a book, start a business, and code my own game and website.

  • Just a spoiled boldy, he thinks not killing himself is heroic, people are refusing to die under circumstances that he would kill himself thousand times.

  • Amazing TED talk, the fact that he starts by sharing that we once was about to kill himself I think makes the following speech much more emphatic and meaningful. Thank you for sharing!

  • I’m really a great fan of this man, He is really a great thinker. He is guide and counselor to the lost young generation in today’s world. Just 3 weeks a ago I came to know him but can’t wait to watch his videos everyday. Every time I watch his new video there is something new to learn. He has made impact on my life. Before I was living a meaningless Life but by looking and listening to his messages I have learnt many important lessons and started a new course of my Life. He is always giving some positive information. Whoever is having miserable life and going through tough times and wanting to commit self harm or every time being obsessed with ruminating thoughts should seek his advice.

  • love Tim Ferris; I have read 4-hour work week 3 times, plus others. with that…what he is doing here is focusing on the fear in order to overcome it. A more powerful method is to simply live in the moment, in the present, in the now. Why focus on the imagined future, which doesnt exist? the courage you get from facing an imagined outcome is also imagined. He is actually going against the quote…”we suffer more in our imagination than in reality””. if that is so…why disect the fear that is just our perceived catastrophic future? when you live in the present there is awareness and nothing to fear. we act out of true inner strength and are ok with any outcome. This is only if you want to live a happy life and succeed, not just externally, but internally.

  • Not sure if this got across but one of my practices is to make multiple smaller goals as stepping stones. When remodeling my house I made daily small goals to obtain my results. These kept me on task in the correct ranking order the process needed to be done. It kept me very focused on the immediate task rather than getting overwhelmed by the larger goal. I’ve been known to do it even by the hour the important thing is that your process keeps you focused and able to complete your final goal.:)

  • Stoicism is so important especially during times of sadness and anxiety while in quarantine. Great video and will begin using “fear-setting” exercises.

  • Maddox tweeted about this and I couldn’t be more thankful for how much perspective this brought me. This video is amazing, everyone should see this

  • I love how well structured, short and to the point this video is. I think formulating the goals is just the first step. The next steps are creating the plan for achieving it and of course what to do once you set everything in motion. There will be fears and doubts and we all need to know how to deal with it and how to create a successful path once we have set the right SMART goals. Thanks for the video and keep up the good content!

  • I like this. One of the things I noticed since I’ve listened to positive talks or podcasts is that I had a tendency to disregard the advice of men. Not always, but I would usually discount it by asking another woman. Possibly without even vetting which woman I was asking. There are reasons for this yet it’s something I’ve been working to repair because not every man is wrong. This is great advice, from a man, about evaluating our fears concerning outcomes.

  • This is a great video! I’ve started a book reading channel with my daughters to improve there reading and English comprehension skills. It’s been a wonderful learning experience for me as well since I wasn’t much of a book reader growing up. Wishing you continued success and happiness!!

  • Sensacional!!!!

  • CRISTHIANE MAIA Video sensacional! Otimo conteudo motivador e reflexivo, metodo bem definido.

  • This is an illuminant video about the potentiality of every singol person. You can do it, just start even if you don’t believe in yourself, the result will be the fuel to go on untill the end…and maybe you coud become passionate too. Thank you

  • College is starting and I feel the pressure of time management and prioritizing. I really needed this video thanks for introducing essentialism!

  • Great video, I like the S.M.A.R.T.E.R. model it is better and it contains the missing components of the old famous S.M.A.R.T. goals setting model

  • amazing talk and great perspective to achieve any goals by breaking them down into small task that can be done everyday. got my ambitious goal starting now.

  • Life hack.. Always follow your heart, do what is right, and trust everything will be okay. Be fearless and know that your level of fearlessness is evidence of your faith in a higher power and the promise that everything will be fine if you follow your heart and do what is right. The more I have done this, the more blessings I have received.

  • needed to hear this, i am also in at fork in the road in my life where i need to decide if i keep going like i’m used to or actively change for the better and the benefit of my future self. this vlog was super heartwarming and helpful

  • After a lot of self-development, I undertook RTT after a friend had a big transformation – I learnt a lot about myself during the process so thanks Marisa it also got rid of a lot of self-doubt so much so I have put myself out there with my own channel.

  • Great advice. What do you do when your ego tells you you are useless and there’s no point in trying because it is beyond you in your mind and you cannot get out of it. How do you alter that thought pattern?

  • Thank you Marisa! This speech is the cherry on the cake for me. I believe 2020 is my best year yet. I’m taking action! Have been working on myself for months now. I fee,l when the world went into stand still a coupe of months ago, I, like a phoenix began to rise! I love your style of speaking, so eloquent and effective. Thank you again <3

  • I am basically blind to every video on YouTube that doesn’t serve the purpose I am aiming at…. and I keep finding myself on this channel watching old and new JP clips… I am aiming at the right thing and good fortune is on my side too. I will get there soon enough.

  • Define the Lord? I’m just waiting for the day that he can define it all for me and pray to him, for him to say that I’m not the bad guy.

  • But if you buy anything for 100$ you’ll lose money and that’s not a reward. Does anyone know a good reward for reaching a milestone?

  • There is tremendous power in goal setting. It helps you plan where you want to go in life and keeps you motivated to turn your vision of your future into a reality.

  • I dont have any fears except the existential fear of not existing anymore after death. go ahead an fix that with your list sir

  • Still, I am confused rn. But yeah life is worthy if we try to strive it harder. For the plans ive made, I make sure I am going to get better and learn abt some things in life. yiiieeeee.

  • Thank you, Marisa! The way you give us the information is wonderfull. Your teachings changed my mind and my big goal is to make your RTT program to become an RTT therapist. I love your ways of working and they made my life better! Thank you ‍♀️

  • I am so excited about what my future holds. One question: is it bad to focus on more than one goal at a time? I want to be a successful entrepreneur AND be wildly in love with a baby on the way! In an ideal world…

  • Thank you Marisa, for learning about grief that I can share with my friend, I like to learn dealing with Procrastination, this is long standing trouble to me. Thank you and very much appreciated Marisa.

  • Awesome video. I’ve been using the S.M.A.R.T. system for years now, but haven’t heard of the E.R. bit before. That will definitely add a whole new dimension to my next set of goals.

  • I think the ability to make self improvement and disciplined habits is more important than goalsetting. But what gets measured gets improved!

  • Marisa I am a female that has been motivated by all the great self help gurus. I don’t really admire many women but somehow you capture my attention. Your advice is second to non and you you help me in so many ways that I can’t really express it in words. I always feel hypnotised by your soothing voice. Very intelligent, beautiful, genuine and extremely loveable. ❤️

  • Thanks so much for your vids! As a visual/audio learner they’re perfect for me! And the artist is seriously talented! Question.. How do you feel about bullet journaling??

  • Read Sodom and Gomorrah and explain to me what you took from that? because I assure you most of you will miss the point that entire story.

  • Thank you very much for a highly inspirational speech Mr Stephen Duneier. I hope one day we could yarn bomb a Baobab tree in Limpopo province in South Africa. And a great big thank you to Ted talks and YouTube and everyone involved in getting this Ted talk streamed to me in the comfort of my home sitting by my cozy fire. The world is full of wonders that we all take for granted everyday.

Ele é simples, prático e 100% focado no resultado!

  • sharing my takeaways:
    Make a marginal adjustment

Stop being a spectator in your decision making and start becoming an active participant.

Make tiny decisions that need to be made correctly along the way in order to achieve the ultimate outcome.

If you don’t make a decision on the couch, there’s no decision to make up at the top of the mountain.

  • I liked this TED talk so much that I made my own personal worksheet based on it:

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oRfc5N-Wtt6uE-_hDE9IDLea34H1j-ZQPvnJsikWXgU/edit?usp=sharing

  • PERFEITO!

  • Many thanks, I been tryin to find out about “100 goals for a teenager” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Farnicaas Switcher Capitalisation (just google it )? It is a great one of a kind guide for learning how to buy and sell gold minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cousin got astronomical results with it.

  • This is just superb, I have been researching “goal setting planner” for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across Farnicaas Switcher Capitalisation (do a search on google )? It is a smashing one off guide for learning how to buy and sell gold without the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my close friend Aubrey at very last got excellent success with it.

  • Ive been doing this habit for about 2 months and it feels good yet this video gave me an idea of “system vs goals” and im much loving it❤
    Thank you for this video.

  • It’s my first time to bump into your video. And I’m so happy. You’re full of wisdom. I have learn so many things just by watching this video.

  • The thing that i admire most about Ted talks are they never throw the philosophies inside you, they come up with data, statistics and real life examples.

  • Marissa, your videos continually pop up when I’m going through tough periods in life. The trend I noticed for many many years. I feel like you’ve become like a mom to me even though we’ve never met. Thank you for your continued support ❤

  • 1:29 uh ppl really do that, that’s insanity. I always thought when your setting goals you create a habit to achieve it and maintain it

  • U will forever be grateful to the friend if mine who sent this video to me. I come back to this again and again. Whenever I feel lazy, whenever I feel little low or drained while making a routine, this video helps me the most.

  • This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much ♥️ I will write down my goals this week as if I’ve already achieved them and also visualise the person I’ve become AMAZING

  • TIm Ferris has bipolar depression? I have it too…wow. my idol man. I get you. I always tried to find tricks and hacks to things too…….you are an inspiration no matter what they say.

  • You helped me find my first tip to the solution of my ultimate life problem. I focused far too much on goals and results, that I miss all the beautiful things I could have seen or experienced during the journey. Thank you

  • I’ve been locked inside my house for months due to this quarantine and y mind has been blown by the boredom.

  • Hi, you uploaded this video on Chinese New Year this year, which was also my birthday. Thank you for the new inspiration for me. Chia You….

  • Wonderful video, We tracked down an article about Strategies to Keep Track of Goals & Habits Effectively let’s read about it https://www.girlandpower.com/5-strategies-to-keep-track-of-goals-and-habits-effectively/

  • 9:18 enters the most gorgeous on-stage guest in youtube history ♥

On a serious note, thanks Marisa. Two weeks ago I wrote down my goal as you described here… i followed all the steps you mentioned and elaborated on all of them… I just rewatched this as I was further elaborating…

In just two weeks of writing my “I AM” goal, I felt empowered to take massive bold action. I opened my business, assembled a team, sent emails to prospects. I have been tireless. And this is me, a guy who would have previously said “I am a shy and I don’t know how to approach people” when in truth what I didnt know was what I know. I am actually really enjoying interacting with people and starting conversations.

But something in me just knows… Like I know like I know like I know, that success is at hand.

  • “Essentialism is not about how to get more things done. It’s about making right things done. It doesn’t mean just doing less for the sake of less either. It is about making the wisest possible investment of your time and energy in order to operate at our highest point of contribution by doing only what is essential.”

so far this quarantine summer 2020, has been by far the most active and somehow productive. summers each year is growing to be bettering myself and well-being. ♥

    love from the PH

  • Every day in my career search after being furloughed I was told NO again today. I needed this video and the Universe delivered you to me again Marisa. Thank You!!! I am working on my positive RTT at night before bed and in the morning before I get out of bed. I know it will come to me. Just like your videos have. God Bless You!!

  • I appreciate the content Courage & facing fears is so important. The last video on my channel is on raising my son to be courageous & I discuss this. For those reading this, attack your fears & the courage will come!

  • I like these tips. I’ve watched a lot of self-care videos and most of them say that we should spend time outside. I really want to do this because I’ve been living a sedentary lifestyle for months now, and recently the quarantine here in our country became stricter, so we really can’t go out of the house even just to go for a walk. It’s driving me crazy. I guess I just have to buy a bicycle because I’m desperate to go out for some exercise

  • Taking control of your life is the KEY to happiness and success. We all start
somewhere, whether that be at the bottom or with a little help. Ultimately your
potential is determined by your habits, which will DEFINE Who you are and
what mark you leave on earth.

  • Thank you! I love you! I found about your RTT method around year ago and was fascinated…few days ago I found out you teach a people around a wolrd and found a polish theraphist….I believe it was not accident. 6.07 I have session after suffering many years from self limited beliefs, childchood trauma and nervous ticts…I cant wait and i am so exited! I you helping so many people and I want to do it too! I love your work, I love this video and I did my own goal book too… and I am going to meet you one day ❤ I feel called to help people and I feel this is exaclty what I want to do, I am fascinated how our breins works and how we can help people undestand this and help them be happy and succesfull….thank you so much for all what you doing! Love you! ❤

  • Thank you for an amazing video Marisa. You produce such outstanding content.
My goal is to earn £10k per month passive income through property. I will write to you when I achieve it.
Many thanks for everything that you produce once again. You are amazing.

  • “The output will always be the same because the system or input didn’t change. If we are able to fix the input or system, the output will fix themselves”. Feels like I am in a control systems class. I have never thought of the things I have learnt in electricals would be analogous to habits.

  • I agree it’s more effective to focus on the habit, not necessarily the goal. That’s how I got into exercise and stuck with it. I tell myself, as long as I do what needs to be done today, I’m good.

  • Online investment has been my first??priority even before this recent Covid-19 pandemic which made a lot of people jobless, however cryptocurrency has gained a lot of investors and trader lately but it is wise not to just invest or trade blindly as this will be a wasted effort in making money. For me, bitcoin trading has been so much successful because i got involved in day trading with a working strategy/daily signals properly backed by a pro trader known as Carlos Kinston. Due to personal research on cryptocurrency, i got to discover that if you want to make profits, you need to trade with the insight, skills, and experience of a trader like Mr Carlos Kinston, which has been very profitable for me for the past 6 weeks now and in my first month of trading with his strategy, i was able to grow my intials from $1,000 to $12,550 in 5days. I have not seen strategies as specific as that of Mr Carlos Kinston as his signals are very accurate. I will urge others who are willing to grow a strong portfolio to make use of his accurate and profitable signals now. Mr Carlos Kinston can be contacted via Instergram @carlos_1uptrades.

  • don’t advise writing down your fears. focusing the mind attentively on anything is a powerful act. if you believe that we create our own reality it’s easy to understand how this could be detrimental.

  • “If you aren’t motivated by fear then you will held back by it.”
Well I’d be damned if that didn’t sum up a lifetime of internal conflict and disbelief. People can say whatever negative things about him that they like, this man is my beacon of hope.

  • hey quick question can someone else other than ted talk because I don’t believe one guy named ted has all theses answers. thanks for you time
    TED

  • beautiful mindfulness, living in the moment, tips in a video! Thank you for this Rowena! It is very simple, yet so essential! We always think that life needs to be hyper-productive and aggressively busy to feel fulfilled. But actually, it is more on how you keep moving on your own pace, with discipline and a system that works FOR YOU, and not based on other’s expectations. Just to vibe, with the moment, working smarter, not to feel that you accomplished a lot, but to actually give time to what is more important and to have more free time in the future. It is more on the perspective that doing nothing, doing less is also as important than doing lots and doing more. I also learned that taking care of yourself is the most important investment, and that requires, discipline and system too on what you do with your body, mind and spirit! So glad I found your page!

  • 5:16 At this point I was 100% sure his star sign was CANCER! Not a chance being any other. Went on to check it… BANG! Cancer! That was an easy one!

  • i tried it years ago actually. my life which was normally positive and smooth and seemingly full of fortunate events did not go well, after I wrote down the worst possible things! you’re much better off to write down the things in your life that are already going well, in my experience.

  • The Bible mentions two specific types of fear. The first type is beneficial and is to be encouraged. The second type is a detriment and is to be overcome. The first type of fear is fear of the Lord. This type of fear does not necessarily mean to be afraid of something. Rather, it is a reverential awe of God, a reverence for His power and glory. However, it is also a proper respect for His wrath and anger. In other words, the fear of the Lord is a total acknowledgement of all that God is, which comes through knowing Him and His attributes.

Fear of the Lord brings with it many blessings and benefits. It is the beginning of wisdom and leads to good understanding (Psalm 111:10). Only fools despise wisdom and discipline (Proverbs 1:7). Furthermore, fear of the Lord leads to life, rest, peace, and contentment (Proverbs 19:23). It is the fountain and life (Proverbs 14:27) and provides a security and a place of safety for us (Proverbs 14:26).

Thus, one can see how fearing God should be encouraged. However, the second type of fear mentioned in the Bible is not beneficial at all. This is the “spirit of fear” mentioned in 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (NKJV). A spirit of fearfulness and timidity does not come from God.

However, sometimes we are afraid, sometimes this “spirit of fear” overcomes us, and to overcome it we need to trust in and love God completely. “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18). No one is perfect, and God knows this. That is why He has liberally sprinkled encouragement against fear throughout the Bible. Beginning in the book of Genesis and continuing throughout the book of Revelation, God reminds us to “Fear not.”

For example, Isaiah 41:10 encourages us, “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Often we fear the future and what will become of us. But Jesus reminds us that God cares for the birds of the air, so how much more will He provide for His children? “So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:31). Just these few verses cover many different types of fear. God tells us not to be afraid of being alone, of being too weak, of not being heard, and of lacking physical necessities. These admonishments continue throughout the Bible, covering the many different aspects of the “spirit of fear.”

In Psalm 56:11 the psalmist writes, “In God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” This is an awesome testimony to the power of trusting in God. Regardless of what happens, the psalmist will trust in God because he knows and understands the power of God. The key to overcoming fear, then, is total and complete trust in God. Trusting God is a refusal to give in to fear. It is a turning to God even in the darkest times and trusting Him to make things right. This trust comes from knowing God and knowing that He is good. As Job said when he was experiencing some of the most difficult trials recorded in the Bible, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him” (Job 13:15 NKJV).

Once we have learned to put our trust in God, we will no longer be afraid of the things that come against us. We will be like the psalmist who said with confidence “…let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you” (Psalm 5:11).
    Gian Giorgio Trissino
Both I and J were used interchangeably by scribes to express the sound of both the vowel and the consonant. It wasn’t until 1524 when Gian Giorgio Trissino, an Italian Renaissance grammarian known as the father of the letter J, made a clear distinction between the two sounds.

  • Good points… “Praise be to God! Man ever aspires to greater heights and loftier goals. He ever seeks to attain a world surpassing that which he inhabits, and to ascend to a degree above that which he occupies. This love of transcendence is one of the hallmarks of man.” Baha’i Faith

  • 1. Write a list of things that could go wrong
    2. What can I do to prevent these from happening
    3. If these scenarios occur, what can I do to repair it?
Has anyone ever encountered these problems and figured this out?
    4. What might be the benefits of an attempt or partial success?
    5. What is the cost of inaction in 6months, 1 year? emotional, physical, financial
    6. There isn’t anything more beautiful than a life as a stoic

  • Another important “system” in life is that happiness only comes when you seek it for others. Those who seek it for themselves will end up having it taken away from them…

  • Most of us grow up with hard choices, hard life. We lose ourselves. We shut down forced to conform at a huge cost to our emotional intelligence. If we get a chance to resolve emotional distresses and recovery our intuitive mind we have easy choices, easy life.

  • Look into Dr. Abram Hoffer cured bipolar and schizophrenia, amongst other things with mega vitamin dosing, especially using niacin, B3. A small percentage of humans need huge amounts of certain vitamins like niacin, just to be well. Its just how their body works and can run in families. When they get enough of the vitamin, the bipolar or schizophrenia goes away. Feed the body and the mind will be well. Also, Julia Ross wrote an important book called The Mood Cure. She specializes in mood and addiction recovery, she uses targeted amino acids to feed the brain specific nutrients it needs to make neurotransmitters that regulate mood, cravings and weight. Both are worth reading up on. http://www.doctoryourself.c9m for Hoffer and http://www.juliarosscures.com

  • Your step by step approach is commendable. However as rightly pointed each goal needs persistence. I have been breaking my head for the last 5 years

  • You have to set the correct goals first, you can be very productive but if you chase the wrong goals, the ones that don’t fulfill you will feel destroyed at the end. After finding the right goals, go for them! Amazing video!

  • Write your goal, having a look at your written goals everyday forces you to act and helps you to prioritize your actions for the day by asking yourself questions such as “In this moment, is doing what I’m doing bringing me closer to my goals?” I read this from book

  • What clicked with me most: Even if you don’t know what direction is up. You can still say “well I’m reasonably aware of some of my flaws”. And flaws that you’ve identified by your own internal sense of orientation. Things about yourself that you’re dissatisfied with that you know you can change. And you can start changing those in small ways. That turns out to be way more powerful than people think.

  • I want attention for my explosive gas!! Ha ha ha. Excellent. Thanks for the laugh. I needed that. Still laughing as I type. So good.

  • You are a bit wrong here, when it comes to “A” and “R”. The rule about SMART goals say Specific Measurable Attractive Realistic Time bound.

  • Your channel is so motivating, absolutely love it, i’m a new subscriber and will defo be sharing this with all my friends, thank you so much for sharing xx

  • Exactly. If you want to see success in your business/life you’ve got to be able to have a system that works. The best way to set a system that works is by getting filling up your calendar with activities that matter, not the time consuming busy work that makes you feel like you’re being productive when in fact it’s stealing time from activities that make a difference. Hiring a virtual assistant can ensure that you get all the tasks you need done & help you be more productive: http://www.virtualassistantservicesnow.com/

  • That one “simple thing” that she took from me, created an entire lifetime of not stepping up for myself ever in any way. She took it away from me: making goals and achieving them-not by attacking the concept itself, but by killing my drive before it had hardly begun. By killing my high worth of myself, this was the end of everything and the beginning of a struggling, overcompensating, fearful shell.

  • The way I see it, goals are good, but since things are constantly shifting, you’re gonna have to constantly be changing how you approach it and what you do. Basically, it’s rare that the first idea you get, will be the final goal result. Usually, you’ll make many changes to your plan.

  • But what if I told you I want to rule the world to fix Humanity.
for I see a better future for Humanity, but first much struggle will take place.
But in the end we will have world peace.

  • I put videos/audio of Jordan Peterson on when I sleep to hopefully have what he says get into my brain when I sleep. I think it’s working!

  • The one reason I want to become good at goal setting is so that I stop feeling so OVERWHELMED all the time. Without focusing on one or two things and completing them, I’ll be stuck doing everything to a less than acceptable level.

  • I’ve been paddling in my kayak in very rough waters, and sometimes even down a waterfall (cause there was no way back). It was really rough! I got disoriented often enough, and 2 times almost drowned. But I always came back on top. Wet, bruised, battered but still paddling.
Now I have a big goal & working towards it. To reach that, I think I need to become a “very astute captain of a very fast & powerful ship”.
Mr. Jordan Peterson, thanks a lot for this image, I’m gonna integrate it in my morning routine!
