When you harness the power of those around you who are already making healthy choices—friends, family, coworkers, etc.—you’re more likely to make smart choices around food and exercise, too. In fact, our recent Fitness Tribes survey reveals users who have ten or more friends on the app lose an average of four times as much. I bring together hopeful women who need help on their health journey so that you can overcome fitness fatigue and be encouraged as you find your fit!

Everyone subscribed to B•TRIBAL•FIT has the opportunity to join a Tribe here! Why Should You Join? Everyone’s personal “fit” is different. No one story is the same.

But, we believe women. You might be hesitant to be part of such groups, just like some are, but there really are great profits you can get. Here are 8 reasons for you to join: 1 – BUILDING NEW RELATIONSHIPS.

Source-UniversityoftheFaserValley. When you’re in a group fitness class, you get to interact with other people. You meet new faces and discover things about. Because you can waste a lot of breath, spouting out a message nobody is listening to. But make no mistake: there are people who care about what you have to say.

You just need to find them. Without a tribe, you’re invisible. We all have talents and gifts that deserve to be noticed.

There is a place for everybody at the gym; and in fact, there are many good reasons that you should join one! I am here to give you the top six reasons why you should join a gym or fitness center. 1. Community.

When you join a gym and you go at the same time each day and each week, you start to see some familiar faces. Here are four reasons why you should join a fitness club: Motivation: Going to a fitness club every day should help to motivate you to achieve your goals. Working out by yourself is not half as fun as working out with other people there to encourage you and inspire you. You can join a convenience gym like Planet Fitness for as little as $10-15 per month, or spring for the top membership at Life Time Fitness for over $100.

Y ou get what you pay for in many cases, so try to figure out what amenities like pools, childcare, and group fitness. So Long, LG and Samsung: Why You Should Avoid Buying OLED AND QLED TVs. In today’s TV universe, it really is a two-person race between Korean companies LG and Samsung.

Weight rooms can be daunting, as can the latest and greatest fitness equipment, but don’t let your fears hold you back from a killer workout. Sticking to lunges, squats, triceps dips, and the like is an easy way to get comfortable with strength workouts and focus on using proper form.

List of related literature:

Some might say that what we’re looking at here is a community that creates a sense of belonging, which is valid for certain people who know how to keep their membership of a particular fitness tribe in check.

  • Richard Overton’s journey has been such a source of inspiration here at National Geographic, and we hope you’ll join us as we continue to celebrate his amazing life.

  • I am only to the point of the 80s and I couldn’t agree more about if you weren’t there you missed out on an amazingly different America. We were such a proud country to have been in. Such a blessing

  • Oh my goodness…..I smiled the entire video. What an inspiration to me, I fell in love with his zest for life and his attitude. he will never know how much he has helped me………. God love you Richard

  • Life is a waterfall
    We’re one in the river
And one again after the fall
    Swimming through the void
    We hear the word
    We lose ourselves
    But we find it all?
‘Cause we are the ones that want to play
    Always want to go
But you never want to stay
And we are the ones that want to choose
    Always want to play
But you never want to lose
    Aerials in the sky
    When you lose small mind
    You free your life
    Life is a waterfall
    We drink from the river
Then we turn around and put up our walls
    Swimming through the void
    We hear the word
    We lose ourselves
    But we find it all?
‘Cause we are the ones that want to play
    Always want to go
But you never want to stay
And we are the ones that want to choose
    Always want to play
But you never want to lose
    Aerials in the sky
    When you lose small mind
    You free your life
    Aerials so up high
    When you free your eyes
    Eternal prize
    Aerials in the sky
    When you lose small mind
    You free your life
    Aerials so up high
    When you free your eyes
    Eternal prize

  • Richard Overton deserves a thank you for saving our country from great disaster from 1939-1945 aren’t I right? If I am 1 LIKE= 1 PRAYER

  • I just saw this for first time.
I figured when I looked at the comments and saw 3 years had passed that he may have died and I see that he has.
I believe God allows some to live long lives so we can learn from them.
While watching this I think of all the things I’ve taken for granted. Live your life the best way you can. Love people.
Everything here on earth is temporary. That’s why I believe he never bought a new TV or truck. He was content with what he had. As we all should be. I know he is with Jesus Christ. And I can’t wait until I am.

  • People be dying from heart disease and cancer and this guy’s packing back cigars, whiskey, and pecan pie for breakfast until he’s 112, lol!

  • Recipe for a long life: smoke cigars, but never inhale. Get up at 1am, or 2am, or 3am, or whenever you wake up. Have multiple cups of coffee in the morning or whisky depending on how you feel. Have some cats who you like being around you help them, and they help you. Milk, fish, corn, soup are good for the soul. Ice cream every night is best for the soul. Church is a wonderful place being social is great for you, and learning things, learning how to treat people better and singing… singing is great. Church is for everybody, but you’ve gotta go for one person: yourself. It’s good to have a spiritual life, but you’ve gotta live it. It makes you feel better to have a companion, to have fun with. If you give up, you’re through! Don’t doubt yourself. These are the secrets to a long life, but you’ve gotta use them! If you don’t, that’s on you. You might give out, but never give up.

  • Great guest! Thank you! (Please consider relocating the underwear commercial from the middle of highly intelectual interviews….)

  • That’s absolutely beautiful:) I don’t cry normally but that is a straight up “God Smack” Thank you sir for your service and your beautiful story:) TRUTH!!!! Will set you free and no Color or Judgement before GOD ever!!! Amen!!! Love you Mr. Overton:)

  • This is really interesting, thanks, its nice to hear about some things i have been thinking about and i am stuck in the silence is safer mode due to shout downs etc.

  • “Leading with empathy” is the right thing to do? “Come on, man” Too much empathy leads to Tele-Tubbies and wallowing in navel gazing (what we have now). How about reason, logic, wisdom…tempered (of course) by the requisite amount of empathy all except sociopaths do possess.

  • Tom, you get great guests, but I just can’t stand all your bro-talk California-isms… everything is “rad” this and “rad” that. Maybe it’s superficial but I just can’t take you seriously.

  • Jon, I like you, but The Matrix is not a “consensual hallucination” that we agree to force on each other. It’s very specifically an imposed software programme created by an oppressive AI to use humans as bio-batteries. Literally the opposite.

  • Tom is very compassionate dude out there trying to rescue us from the Matrix! I am big fan. My criticism would be that he should let his guests finish what they’re saying, while preparing his explorative questions. Another point is that he should not drop f bombs so frequently if not at all. Especially when his guests are such high caliber academic and polished figures. Also calling them “dude”, that’s ridiculous for me tbh. First of all you’re younger than them. Second, you don’t know them personally. Have some respect, DUDE! Time to listen to these constructive criticisms Tom, time to improve buddy!

  • Let’s be accurate. Anyone who dislikes this is an uncultural scum. I respect people’s opinions, but this is rogue seeing that much people dislike one of serj’s official music videos

  • I think the various definitions and end goals in arguments over racism makes the word “racism” a mental wall to understanding the point of the conversation. Black and POC want to correct hypocrisy of the American narrative of being “the melting pot” or “the salad bowl.” If America wants to claim that it’s diversity to be its most unique fiber, we have to verbally celebrate that diversity. Someone who’s Black wants a white person to call them Black in a way that recognizes their contributions to this country. What would American, and even all of western culture, be without Black contributions? Music? Art? Dance? Nearly everything we now just call American and love and celebrate, wouldn’t exist in the way we know it without Black contributions. This also extends to every American citizen. When you look at American culture, it doesn’t matter what your race or ethnicity is, something from your own background probably contributed to it. My great-grandfather was a child immigrant from Sicily at the turn of the century, shortly after the the Sicilian terrorist attacks in New Orleans. His older sister encouraged him to change his first name from Giovanni to John due to the anti Sicilian sentiment of the moment. And while it’s sad that he came to America at an inconvenient time for his heritage, can you imagine an America without the contributions of Italian/Sicilian-Americans? He came here by choice. And then sit back and think about how the founders of our country dragged Black people from their homelands to become property, just three fifths of a human being, and how much of our country’s infrastructure and culture was created by this “property.” They don’t want their Blackness erased. They don’t want it to be the same as eye color or hair color. They want all Americans, not just white folks, to call them Black with pride. Call them Black with gratitude for their contributions, especially because so much of OUR culture is rooted in their ancestors’ pain. Black people don’t want white people to feel guilty about the skin color they were born with, they just want appreciation and acknowledgment. I think the whole concept of racism would start to dissolve if an American of any heritage could wake up in the morning, see someone of a different race or ethnicity, and be proud that being an American means always getting a little bit of the world’s best without ever having to leave home.

  • Great conversation as always, as a fan of Bruce Lee, have you heard Brian Scott’s channel-reading material about Bruce Lee and his way of thinking, and Brians book is pretty good, Ive only read a couple handful of books in the last few year than I have through my life

  • The “mind altering drugs” referred to are basically used in a personal choice or political manner, and just like the political machinations spoken of in contempt, for the destructive nature of the divisive purpose behind store bought justice,..drugs are “chemical lies”, not the half-truth kind of “constructive criticism” that is allopathic medicine against whole body evidence of dis-ease. (If the pop definition of an idiot is “someone unable to learn from direct experience” is sufficiently descriptive, then the real-time evidence is absolutely clear about the illegitimacy of illegal drugs)

I pay a monthly fee to YouTube for ad free content, andthey claimto pay the channel something, who is breaching that contract?

  • When trying to resolve a conflict with someone you care about, and who you hope cares about about you, ie in Bee mode, and you approach the conflict resolution by acknowledging the person had a legitimate insight into a perceptual error you made that contributed to the conflict with the hope they will then recognise the perceptual error they made too, which would result in both feeling the conflict was resolved, this seems intuitively right to me. However, the response could be the person was cynical about your motivations and assessed what had happened was a manipulation to secure a concession, rather than a sincere exchange of mutual perceptual error. I suspect there will be other factors at play which will determine if the person concludes they were engaging in a mutual exercise, or a manipulative one. The significance of the perception each has of the meaning of the error being conceded to each, and by each. The degree of social capital of trust that had built up prior to this event. The perceived sincerity exhibited by a congruence of body language signals with what was being expressed verbally. The upshot, for me, is don’t use this “technique” if your goal is to exploit it for gain in a commercial context because it will be more likely be perceived as manipulative if the concessions are unequal, if trust capitol isn’t sufficient, and if insincerity is detected.

  • 16:00 minutes in and THIS is an important conversation! As an activists with a psychology background. I hope Tom can do something with his wealth and status and quest for enlightenment in his later years to actually push America forward. As an activists I have some ideas. Doubt anyone will see this but I’ll write this out and manifest it.

  • Oh noooooo. Another: Isnt Tom Bilyeu fascinating? Unique? Aren’t you so much more interested In Tom Tom Tom than the silly insignificant guest? Won’t it be great if I interrupt the guest constantly so I can show you all how amazing I am???? fest.

  • I do Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training that has explicit guidelines of no blaming shaming or attacking, self or others, along with 8 other keys guidelines for doing this work. It’s disappointing to hear that Social psychologist Jonathan Haidt could not find any models that work. I would encourage him and the host of this channel to check out VISIONS Inc. Been doing this work since 1984 and was developed out of psychological models for supporting change. It sounds like Dr. Haidt is on a good journey of

  • Oh great here comes another hour of Jonathon Haidt making that weird noise with his mouth between every sentence. Not as bad as on Joe Rogan at least

  • Just a reminder that the remodeling rate of bone, once you are an adult, is very very slow. Think like from 20s to late in life, that would be enough to have an effect. However, if you think tongue posturing will save your face now, it’s already too late. Should have had orthodontic intervention when your bones were still growing in childhood and teenage years. Now it’s only a trip to the Max-fac or a fixed orthodontic appliance for arch expansion or something similar.

  • Tome, you are so smart. There is no need for you to use profanity. The English language is so rich, yet, you choose is a sign of laziness when you use the foul

  • A common goal between 2 to milinia? Is required before movement forward comes together in anything.
The One thing we collectively have is surviving.

  • Tom,
You have to learn to let your guests speak. This is probably the 4th video of yours I have watched. You have great guests which is why 99% of people are here. There will always be a handful of people that enjoy listening to you speak but most come for the guests. Nothing wrong with giving your two cents but you are over the top. And the constant F bombs are so cringe. Nothing wrong with cursing but my god man. You sound like an enthusiastic 16 year old who is way too confident about what he thinks he knows. And I know you are a clever man, so it just makes you look bad when you ramble on and on and on dropping a dozen misplaced f-bombs along the way.

  • Jesus Christ is coming back soon! We need repentance! Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost! Acts 2:38 Admit to God you are a sinner, ask Him for forgiveness, believe Jesus death on the cross paid the full penalty for your sins and your soul will be saved.Gods judgement is near!✝️

  • A few years back I asked the doctor if there was anything he could do to help me focus. They sent me to a gentleman that gave me an IQ test. Turns out I’m on the low end of average. Since then I completely changed my habits and dove into philosophy. I know I can never tell you about quantum physics but at the same time I’m learning to be a fast pig.

  • This tongue posture seems to help move jaws forward, but what about those with jaws they want to retract to the ideal aesthetic position, will this tongue pressing on top of mouth aid in jaw being pulled back in this case? I used to have my jaw too far back, but ive lived my teenage and adult life with this tongue habbit (coincidentally. i had no oral posture knowledge), and now my jaw is too far forward. I am worried fellow viewers will try this tongue posture to retract jaw backwards but have the opposite outcome years later.

  • I am so proud of you Tom for stepping into your fears and overcoming the barriers you had in your life to become a Role model, Influencer and such a dynamic thinker. You are making a positive impact in my life. Thanks and bless you. #stephensmithsrq #lwnfoundation

  • Very Valid Concern but the existential threats this moment are climate change, nukes…and income and wealth inequality increasing exponentially.

  • You’ve got a great way of interviewing experts and you have a wonderful way of speaking and playing with not only your words but tone of voice too.

You also read up on the topics that the experts are in and have very intelligent and useful questions

Thank you Tom and thank you for this wonderful coaching conversations

  • 0:44 Me, who started breathing only through my nose in second grade because I was afraid kids would judge me for breathing too much through my mouth: relieved sigh

  • I am glad you haven’t been demonitized, but the number and length of the ads during your shows are intolerable. I am cutting the cord. Embed the ads, man. Youtube has turned your channel to shit. I am outta here. I can get all this information elsewhere.

  • Since discovering peter schiff 2 months ago my strategies have changed, my net worth has multiplied, my long term outlook is WAY more positive since I actually know now how to survive a crash and I’ve discovered a few other guys online I’ve learned a TON from. I.E. Mike Maloney, mark moss, etc… I credit Peter to the future security of myself and my children. God bless you sir.

  • Mabye most of the people have good intentions but the ones at the top in control definitely know what they are doing and are after nothing but power they definitely do not have good intentions

  • Please let your guest speak. Just some constructive criticism, when you’re interviewing someone ask them questions pertaining to them or their career. Don’t spend a lot of time about your anecdotes, know one cares.

  • Hearing Jon’s fallen into a bit of the racial hysteria is worrying. A bunch of liberal white people getting all emotional is not a good sign in my books. Empathy might be helpful for understanding and persuasion, but it’s terrible for problem solving.

  • Amazing talk. Put into words many things I believe but didn’t realise or know how to voice. Would have loved to be part of the conversation!

  • 2015 was the year that a biological male was declared Woman of the Year by Time Magazine. It was then that I knew we had crossed a threshold into a new level of mass psychosis in the United States.

  • I started doing this when i lost my retainers and my teeth have stayed straight even though I was told if I didn’t wear them they would go back. its been a couple years and there still extremely straight even nicer than right after my braces

  • Thank you, Tom as always for fascinating and eye opening interviews. I was intrigued to discover you hail from Spanaway/Tacoma, WA….I hail from there as well. T-Town representing, I love it! I would like to challenge the idea; can we get to a place where we see race is about as relevant as our hair color? I often hear you offer your own childhood/familial experiences, and even time bound (the 80’s) and geographical references as they relate to the shaping of who you are today, the important lessons learned and what drives and motivates you. Aren’t all of our experiences, inextricably shaped our culture, race and communities, important and worthy of validation in this same vain? In my opinion, we have to acknowledge and recognize what individuals come to the table with, particularly for the collective to be bestowed with the energy and ideas that come from those experiences. To erase that or not acknowledge or consider them important seems diminishing.

  • @ Jonathan Haidt: Opening your heart is great, but not beneficial when the other party is either not willing to, or is a bad actor. If you let racist dogmatic identity politic zealots gain power of public discourse, you’re introducing a cancer that won’t be easily extinguished.

  • I’ve been seeing a lot of examples where religion and sacred rituals are a way to fix the game theoretic struggle between the benefit of the individual and the benefit of the group and how to deal with freeloaders and psychopaths or individuals who act in their own interest and against the group. Bret Weinstein recently mentioned how you need a higher power to get the individual to act in the interest of the group (altruism) and against his own selfish interest (or persuade him that the interest of the group is in his best interest). Another podcast mentions scapegoating as a pre-christian way to resolve this dilemma. An interesting blog notes how capitalism works in place of religion https://economicsfromthetopdown.com/2020/04/29/the-free-market-as-a-double-lie to deal with this same issue.

  • Instead of progressive vs. conservative, I view it as precocious, adolescent intellectual arrogance blended with naive idealism vs. mature intellectual humility blended with pragmatism. So the adolescent is absolutely convinced that he/she knows better than anyone else living or dead what to do about the worlds problems, and being endowed with sublime wisdom never seen before, MUST impose his/her view on the world. The conservative humbly reflects on the high likelihood that thousands of people that came before MUST have had a strong grip on reality and longterm—often unpredictable—effects of our actions, that commands a lot more respect for structures put in place by past wise people, who MUST have got a lot right for their structures to have endured so long.

  • Apparently my oral posture is correct since my tongue has always been rested on the upper part of my mouth since I was young, I still don’t see “attractiveness” here –

  • Hey, could you kindly put the ad before or at the end of the video? It’s feels a bit distracting can be really awkward when sharing/watching this in front of my family for the first time.:)

  • I’m sorry but its crazy that anybody takes this guy seriously. Holy cow what a grade A douchebag. If you like the format, I strongly recommend Joe Rogans podcast over this goofball

  • What if many black and mixed-race people don’t feel this way (woke or BLM) about race and racism today? Should it be forced on them?

  • Jonathan Haidt is one of the most thoughtful voices out there. His books serve as the memorable experiences of my life. Thank you for this inteview:)

  • tom talks way too much about himself and not enough about the guest and their actual ideas. he’s too focussed on how everything relates to him, and what he can add to it.

  • thank you Tom. I wondered why I could never pin down the truth. I don’t have cable but i scour the internet for news looking at multiple sources and still am not sure what the truth about important issues like covid, testing, politics and the economy are. This leaves me cut off from my peers as they are all certain what is true and who is evil. I am a registered Libertarian and educated with some critical thinking skills, and now understand why I have so much confusion. Keep getting these fabulous guests.

  • Okay, I have an issue with tongue placement, and it’s something that my dentist talks about with me. I push my tongue into my teeth in the front, instead of having it resting at the top. I’m gonna try this and come back in a year with results

  • Tom being religious at one point makes total sense. He speaks a lot like the guys I went to church with. College evangelicals can be a very cerebral bunch.

I am in NO WAAAAY a Christian any more, but I saw that in him.

  • Stare too long into the abyss and the abyss will gaze back at you. We find everything wrong with others while failing to realize we are all humans sharing the same sins and nature.

  • Tom, don’t let the imperfection of Christians block you from the perfection of Christ. He’s called savior because we need saving. You’ll understand this: go deeper, look beyond the shortcomings of human beings (remember, you’re human) and plumb the depths of the Word of God (Logos). For a period, I went the road of eastern religion and philosophy and found it to lead to a circular path founded in nothing(ness), leading to nothing. Knowing God, the personal God, is our reason for being. Jesus said “I am the Vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. ” John 15:5

  • The solutions we seek lie well outside of the narratives we are collectively conditioned to have. Tom, for example, has very noble intentions, however, he like so many on these threads imagine that the answers are dialogical, when they are not. The answers are completely experiential and thus require a fresh blueprint with a compelling narrative that is readily translated into a powerful framework of disciplined, collaborative engagement well beyond what this current, as well as past paradigms, were ever formatted to provide. If Tom or his staff are reading this thread and are serious, then I would be more than happy to engage in a beta test conversation that I submit, could serve as catalyst for awakening new insights and their applications within all sectors of an actively transforming global economy.

  • Really well-done, man. It definitely shows the real damage of a society totally engrossed in VR. I agree that it will be great for education and even for entertainment and some communication purposes, but… yeah, it would totally cause humanity to go mad if we abuse it in the way your experiment shows. Let’s hope the dystopia of “Ready Player One” never happens. Take care. -Kenneth

  • This was the best short film I’ve watched so far about VR. Very well done!!
I have never commented before but this inspired me to do so.

  • Hey! Im a 16 years old girl with a little double chin, many cheeks, like a fat face, besides I have an oval face. Im gonna raise my tongue every day and when I get results I tell you! Look foward to just like I am /@[email protected]/

  • I’m going to sit on a toilet for one week but don’t worry, I’ll pretend like I’m taking showers and I guarantee I’ll get just as many YouTube views as you. This s*** is bogus.

  • Life is a waterfall
    We’re one in the river
And one again after the fall
    Swimming through the void
    We hear the word
    We lose ourselves
    But we find it all?
‘Cause we are the ones that want to play
    Always want to go
But you never want to stay
And we are the ones that want to choose
    Always want to play
But you never want to lose
    Aerials in the sky
    When you lose small mind
    You free your life
    Life is a waterfall
    We drink from the river
Then we turn around and put up our walls
    Swimming through the void
    We hear the word
    We lose ourselves
    But we find it all?
‘Cause we are the ones that want to play
    Always want to go
But you never want to stay
And we are the ones that want to…

  • If you need healing or wellness, let me share with you how I was healed. When I prayed a prayer of blessings for Benny Hinn’s Christian Ministry I was instantly healed of heart palpitations and another time I prayed it I was healed of excruciating rectum pain. Just try praying for his ministry, maybe it will heal cancer or other issues I don’t know. It’s a Godly, loving Christian ministry, look him up on UTube or elsewhere online, very awesome healing! His website is http://www.BennyHinn.org

Let me also tell you that the night I read the Bible out loud for a few minutes is the night I went to bed with no neck pain. My reading must have healed me I guess. It was pain so bad I could only sleep on my back for years. So I really try to read the Bible out loud every night since then. Whoever needs healing can try that too, try it for your family if they’re too young to read. I hope it helps. Try praying for Benny Hinn’s ministry for your family thats too young. I pray for it and I donate to it, it helps us so much.

  • I was told to hold this jaw posture by a speech pathologist so that my voice would heal after an injury. I hold it 24/7, even taught myself how to sleep like that. Had no idea it would change my face shape. Who knew!

  • YO that Death Grips track tho??? I’m subbing. Your videos are so inspiring and I personally would love to try that if I lived by myself and had the resources. Thanks for doing these. Legend

  • Get ready for a short civil war. A lot of people are going to die. probably more casualties will be on the side of the loudest minority. Then, we can seat down and talk about how are we going to move forward. It is tragic, but there is no other solution. The more you try to avoid bullies, the more the will attack you; until the point where we don’t have any other choice but fight.

  • Actually ” adapting a modern lifestyle” meant unhealthy foods from the colonizers forced on them due to poverty….which came from systemic genocide and cultural genocide

  • Sorry but I’m not really used to this type of technology, so my question is how could he cook with the visor on? I mean from the video it seems that you can actually see through it, I’m I wrong?

  • A lot of people in the comments are saying stuff like “oh I’m gonna try this and I’ll update you guys in a few years” soo… I think I’m gonna do that:DD I’ve been putting my tongue on my palate for a few days/weeks now, I too will update you all, maybe next year. See ya future me 😉

  • Well i like to say i was 16 when i watched this im 17 now and really have notice facial changes but not just the tonge posture it’s about actaul spine posture and working out in a correct form this means running correctly to its about you being very aware and adjusting your body so it feels right and breathing from your nose while doing tongue posture (keeping it on the roof) also fix tight muscles because tight muscles can pull on you and affect your posture so you stand really werid at times and do fasting to because fasting releases HGH

  • Im doing this for like a year now, my cheek become a little bit hollow and my jawline become more defined I’m 16 years old now, when I was 14 I’m obese and my cheek is fat.

  • I’m a twin and my sister has straight teeth but i don’t, they’re not as straight as hers. I swallow differently & i do catch myself with an unwanted face posture. I’m going to change my tongue and drinking method. Im 17 rn and I’ll try to come back to this comment a year or two later. Just remind me lol 8/15/20

  • I have proper tongue posture but sometimes my nose just doesn’t work and I need to breath through my mouth, and by sometimes I mean like every once a month but amazingly my teeth is straight… no jawline tho but maybe thats just because Im overweight:(

  • i have something to ask idk if it will ever be answered, is that only for teeth issues or does it also used for helping people to breath better? (when chin is back and blocks a bit the breahing passage)

  • I actually started resting my tongue on the roof of my mouth since I was around 16 (8 years ago), for no reason, I just did. And by looking at photos from school, it’s true. My face looks so much better.

  • Clarification on the title: I of course don’t mean to suggest that attractiveness depends only on tongue posture. Nutrition of the mother and nutrition of the person during formative years surely play a very large role in how the face develops. In fact, the book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration would suggest that; fat soluble vitamins being very important for fertility and proper development of young, with grains & sugar (“modern foods”) being very detrimental for development and oral health especially. Oral posture would be another piece of the puzzle.
On that note, Francis Pottenger’s experiment with cats found that cats on a poor diet developed deteriorated facial structure by the third generation.

NOTE ON SUTURE FUSION: I wish I had used the phrasing “these sutures are not completely fused together,” or “sutures are not completely closed…” It’s understood that after birth, the sutures of the skull “fuse” together by age 2 or so. One study found that complete closure of certain sutures does not occur until as late as 70 years old. Another found that “The human frontozygomatic suture undergoes synostosis during the eigth decade of life, but does not completely fuse by the age of 95 years,” based on 61 human cadavers aged 20 to 95.

  • I thought it was weird when I rarely took pictures and realized my jawlines somehow changed… so it changes often depending how its being influenced?

  • I do this since kid cuz logopeda told me it was the correct position of the tongue. But, because my tongue is really strong and I have small teeth and lips, now my teeth have a gap due to this

  • To me, this is probably the best youtube channel I have ever watched videos from. You seem very at peace all the time and I always like seeing your reaction when you.. essentially go back to normal. And I can’t even imagine how much effort you put into videos like this. This is the definition of awesome. I am starstruck.

  • I’ve been chewing gum before school testing for almost a decade now. No wonder my jawline is so nice. Massive confidence boost, thanks YouTube

  • My tongue does that without me trying, mostly because it’s long. Are there negative side-effects for prolonged, uh, tongue pressing on the roof of the mouth?

  • Interesting video! However, I noticed how words like “civilized” and “modern” are used a opposites to “Indigenous” when comparing their teeth and diets and that promotes the idea that Indigenous cultures and lifestyles are inherently inferior (which they are not). It just has to do with our choices of words but it can have a lot of impact.

  • 3:33: Ryan, watch yer noggin!

  • waaiitttt this explains why my mom has perfect teeth and my teeth became all misaligned?? She grew up in a province in the philippines and ate a lot of what they grew in their garden. I am the first generation child living in the U.S. eating modern foods…. wow this is some interesting information.

i also feel very much attacked because i LOVE soup and prefer soft foods (like a whole damn baby). dang i didn’t know diet affects my teeth alignment. i guess i gotta start chomping on more fibrous fruits, vegetables and raw meat.

  • They call themselves progressives but many of their ideas would not lead to progress at all. Everyone wants progress the only debate is what we are progressing towards. It’s such a sneaky move to name yourselves the progressives as if anyone who is against you is against progress and you can claim people who disagree with you don’t want progress Which isn’t true at all we just think what they believe would not lead to progress. All change is not progress and many of the progressive stances are actually regressive and would make most of the problems they complain about so much worse

  • Hey Ryan…
good to see Ryan the fitness trainer turning to nutritionist….

  • at the of the day it still in the genes they have the advantages the other one is still handsome while the other one is more attractive

  • Tom is telling his personal experiences and approach and then ask a very thoughtful question which makes the conversation all the more interesting. He is very open minded, truth seeking person that doesn’t push his views on others. He is humble and expresses many times that he doesn’t have wisdom in this field and genuinely asking to learn. During the interview you can see how many aha moments he had, so did I. This was a great interview and I also like how John didn’t lose track of what he was saying whenever there was little diversion due to Tom asking branching questions for some more exploration. I learned a lot and made important connections in my mind.

  • I knew my orthodontist was fantastic, but I didn’t know to what degree. He had me resting my tongue on the roof of my mouth since I was 8 or 9. It completely changed the arch angle my teeth were at, and now my mouth is wide enough to hold all my teeth straight, like what is shown in this video. (My teeth are slightly larger than average as well.) I was so young, so I didn’t think to ask about the logic behind what he told me to do, so hearing this now at 22 is fascinating. I also can’t even imagine not keeping my tongue on the roof of my mouth… totally feels weird to not have it there. Great video!

  • Before a childs adult teeth grow they sit inside their palate on top their baby teeth. One theory that I have is that when a child sucks on a bottle the force exerted by the lips on the palate and by extension the teeth inside, makes the teeth grow crooked.

  • Dropping “F” bombs on podcasts seems to be all the rage these days. What’s the reason? Older white guys trying to appeal to a younger, hipper audience? An attempt to come across as “real”? Either way, the F bomb seems very overdone here especially since the guest was very polished and proper.

  • Racism is just black cultural underperformance, non family planning,   laziness and disinterest in sciences. Saying this is tabu but true.

  • Hey man, as a qualified personal trainer. Could you please create a guide for achieving door frame pull ups? While pull up bars are cheap, some just don’t have any money at all or just can’t be convinced to buy one yet.

  • My grand Mother is currently 105yrs young in her right mind and sweet & fierce.

Salute to Mr Overton to serve a country that has never and will never serve him.. I’m honored and proud to be black an I take a knee in your honor not amerikkka.

  • Hey a little tip: tape a rock, yes a rock, to the back of your heqdset so your forehead or cheeck bones dont hurt it works, im doing it while I get a battery pack which is also a counter weight

  • Hi Ryan. I’ve discovered your channel about a week ago and I find your content really helpful. I have a video suggestion for you regarding one of my biggest problems. Ever since I’ve started working out (more than 2 years ago in a gym), I’ve always struggled and am still struggling to build chest muscles. I don’t know why but I can’t get them any bigger. Could you make a video about growing chest muscles effectively with calisthenics? Specifically, I’m can’t seem to grow my lower chest muscles but I seem to have more muscles on my upper chest closer to the shoulders. I’ve been doing home work outs for the past 1.5 months and if I solve this problem, I think I’ll be in an overall good shape. Hope you see this, thanks in advance.

  • Hello BroSorry Brother Do you have a Calisthenics or Bodyweight Exercise for the Side Delt or Side Shoulders, Posterior Delt or Back Shoulders & Upper,Middle and Lower Trapezius, Thoracic and Lower Back, Forearm, Wrist and Rotator cuff and Upper Abs, Obliques or Side Abs & Lower Abs Type, Variations Workout and How to Neck Exercise?

  • Hi Ryan thanks for the recipe, it sounds delicious!:)
Did you say 730 Kcal though? That sounds like a lot! It’s almost half the average daily kcal intake for a woman.

  • Nice video, dude. Great recipe for breakfast..I was looking for a good oat recipe. However, they say that soy tend to make you gain man boobs and female hormones. It that right?

  • Really Interesting video.
Especially the fact that eating soft food and breathing through your mouth is connected to deformed teeth formations.

  • been doing something similar with hot water on top and let it soak overnight. then, in the morning, i microwave it piping hot. i use a 1 litre tupperware with locking lid. i eat half for breakfast and take the remainder to work.

  • My dentist confirmed that if the tongue pushes against the palate you can straiten your theeth. I did it for the past years and he said it changed my teeth. Keep doing it guys!
