Periodization is one of the most important parts of a fitness programs ultimate success, yet few trainers and gym-goers truly understand how to employ the concepts and principles behind it. The lack of a bridge between these theories and their practical, everyday application is partly to blame.

As you can probably tell from the title, this article attempts to bring periodization down to a. • Hey, Ronan here. Let’s talk about MILK, CREAMER, and SUGAR in your COFFEE or TEA while you’re fasting. Can you have that? Does it mess it all up?

At the end of the day, it’s about how many calories you’re consuming (or how big the grocery shopping is) each day. Intermittent fasting is a way to help you intuitively reduce your daily caloric intake but without you having to count or track them. This is exactly why people who burn fat on intermittent fasting do so. The researchers of the Illinois study that I mentioned in the video took a look at the food journal of the participants and realized that while they were fasting they intuitively ate, on average, 350Kcal less per day when they were intermittent fasting. And this explains why they burned fat.

This means that, when it comes to fat loss, the way that intermittent fasting helps you is by reducing calories overall. So if you add calories to your fasting window then you’re kind of missing the point.

Of course, does that mean that I need to freak out and that a single drop of milk would break the fast and mess up my results? No. Even though this means that you are grocery shopping more often because you’re not really spending all those 12 to 16 hours fasting, if your groceries are really small this may not be detrimental to your fat loss.

But then things start to be more complicated. Your mind may soon go like “hey, a single drop of milk wouldn’t be bad. What about 2? What about… a glass? And if I add just a little sugar?”. And this may become a loop that over time increases an obsession with what you may or may not have when you’re fasting and, at some point, cancel the benefits of the practice entirely.

You can see that there’s no clear rule of what you CAN or CANNOT do. But if you want an advice of a best practice of intermittent fasting, then have zero calories when you’re fasting and leave them for your feeding window. This means, no creamer, milk, or sugar in your coffee or tea.

You may as well see later on than giving you 100% is EASIER than giving 95%.

  • Hi, I dont take dinner, just fruits at around 6 pm. Then a glass of warm milk at 9 pm.
I take my breakfast at around 8.30 to 9 am.
If I count milk as meal then I m fasting for approx 11 hrs. Shall I count milk as meal? If yes, do I have to take it early
    Pls guide

I m 42 yrs old women from india

  • There was one time where I DID bring donuts to my co-workers thinking I was being kind and considerate. Now I look back and think “Oh God, what was I thinking?” Giving people crap food disguised as a treat or a gift is not kind or considerate at all! Let’s WAKE UP

  • Intermittent fasting DOES NOT work for everyone. Stop recommending this for all people. It doesn’t work for people with hypothyroidism.

  • Jesus is coming!! We need to get ready by repenting of our sins like lying and stealing (those are examples) and trusting in jesus christ!! When he comes back we don’t want to be left behind!! Jesus loves you!!

  • Very helpful Ronan. Thank you!

Can intermittent fasting burn off belly fat? If not what can I do? I’m a woman in my 40s.
    Thanks again!

  • Thanks for information.. well explained.. would be great to hear what to avoid during intermittent fasting.. waiting for next video…

  • Just watching this is so inspirational, and you can really tell that she cares. I’ve been on a fitness journey for a really long time, and I’ve been doing it wrong. I would put unrealistic expectations into my head going into it. Watching this just inspires me to keep trying even tho corona closed all the gyms. I’m going to keep trying to not restrict and just to make gains with the weights and equipment that I have.

  • I love dis stuff, but whenever I go for intermittent fasting i get headaches nd i cant study at all, is dere anything dat i could do to get rid of dis headache nd study well in the fasting period

  • Thanks s Ronan for explaining IMF in such easily comprehensible way. I have a question to you what should be the fasting time for beginners (i.e. eating window 10am 7.00 pm )? The internet has a varied range of answers for this question so I am a little puzzled.

  • Been drinking hot lemon water when I wake up. After that.. my routine of meditation and exercise. Then after that.. breakfast. It’s almost 4 hours after I wake up. Dinner is also changed because of pm work schedule. I’m loosing belly fat fairly quickly..⭐

  • Iam already doing IF for 2-3 weeks and what is so fascinating is I lost 6 pounds. I don’t actually care about time but I try to delaya how much I can, most of the time I fast for 14 hrs

  • Good video
.. question.whats a protein that doesn’t require refrigeration,is low priced, and unlike nuts (which are hard to chew)or peanut butter….also I tried lots of almond butter which I like but gives me Candida and leaches my eyes if I eat a lot of almond butter…..also I noticed that if I eat high protein I’m not hungry,I don’t get hypoglycemia as much, and I loose weight fast…( Keto diet).???

  • hey, just a heads up, speaking about calories and what not is triggering for some people so maybe its best to put a trigger warning or something? xo

  • So are you saying do not eat lunch? Get up early. Have breakfast 90 minutes after you wake up and then have dinner 90 minutes early than you usually do? Is the 12 hours included with 8 hours of sleep? I am trying to get an example of my day. Would my breakfast and dinner be larger than normal since I went a while without eating? I am eating healthy and I went from 250 to now 179. I would like to get to 125-128.

  • How can I do intermittent fasting when I am Type 2 Diabetic. I know that recently I was very ill with an aggressive biological bowel infection for 8 days and lost 17lbs. I was only allowed clear fluids for 24 48hrs and that did not include chicken or beef broth because both just went right through! I normally have 4 meals a day Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snack beginning at 8 am and ending at 8 pm with my largest meal at mid-day. Three years ago I was 432 lbs. and now weigh approximately 267 lbs.

  • Hi Vishen,it doesnt.
I have changed my diet since 2018 but besides losing weight I haven’t been able to achieve my real goal of being energetic and waking up fresh and retain it thru the day.

  • Calorie restriction causes the yo-yo effect, not fasting. Fasting and intermittent fasting are not calorie restriction (I know that sounds ludicrous, but it’s not). Dr. Jason Fung MD. explains this with a railroad track analogy. When you are eating in a calorie restricted way and eating those few calories a little at a time throughout the day, your body can only access the limited amount of calories in the glycogen system (glucose in the blood, muscles and liver). Your always on the “glucose track” and can’t switch to the “fat burning track”. Your “energy drive-train” can either sit on one track or the other, but it can’t be on both at the same time. Your “freezer” (to use the analogy in this video) is padlocked shut because insulin is high and glucagon is low. Therefore, your body must slow the metabolism as it has run out of short term fuel (glucose) and has no means to access to long term fuel (adipose body tissue a.k.a. fat). When you fast either intermittently or longer, insulin levels go down, glucagon rises unlocking the freezer. Your body now has seemingly unlimited energy (most of us have 40 days or more worth). The problem is, if you have followed the food pyramid diet (North American diet) for many years the machinery inside of your cells that burn fat (Mitochondria) have lost their ability to effectively use fat for fuel, and you may feel sluggish on a fasting regimen. The good news is, after a short time of consistently eating this way, your body adapts to burning fat for fuel. One study showed that individuals doing Alternate day fasting saw a huge drop in basal insulin levels after 21 days of consistently fasting every other day! This is due to the fact that the body has reset the mitochondria to burn fat and now your body is restored to “flex fuel” where both carbs and fat can be burned for energy. Watch YouTube videos from Dr. Fung MD, Dr Berg DC. Dr Boz MD (Bozwerth), Dr. Ken Berry MD, Thomas DeLauer, there is a wealth of knowledge out there on this subject matter. At 48 years old, I did this last year and lost 38 lbs which returned me to the weight I was at the start of my college years. Have had no issues keeping off the weight since. Hope you have great results too if you give this a chance.

  • HI, I really want to try intermittent fasting, but my question will be: how can I do it, if I have to take medication early in the morning, but I can not take that medication on an empty stomach because it hurts it.

  • If I eat only once per day, during the following 24 hours can I drink regular Tea with Soy Milk? What are your thoughts with regard to drinks etc?

  • Hey girl! So I weigh 105 and I am 18, I am really looking into eating more calories and going to the gym, but I was wondering if you had any tips or if you could tell me how I should start?

  • “wedding transformation” but then starts video and says its 3 completely different reasons as to why they’re doing a transformation. HALEY HOW IS THAT NOT CLICK BATE?

  • Your actually such an Inspiration, im so glad I watched this video I definitely learned a lot. And also now know the things I should be focusing on when I workout. (Btw You have such a nice uplifting smile, definitely one of my top favorite YouTubers now)

  • Hey viewers, so I came across intermittent fasting last year. In a matter of 3 months I came down from 24% body fat to 17%. It’s really easy, it’s not forcing you to change what you eat rather it’s about when you eat. Give it a try.

  • A healthy body gives more authoritative energy, because one takes care the most important thing we are granted in this life.
You have to help yourself before helping others.

  • I just love how Haley isn’t doing this for pure aesthetic changes. she truly wants to feel healthier and be fitter for life. So inspirational and a great role model❤️

  • I felt the skinny fat thing. My arms are skinny and my legs are also skinny my buttocks are not small but not big but not that round which I want to work on. I have belly fat which I have been trying to get it off. I don’t know if this belly fat is due to what I eat because I eat salads rice probably once a week, fish, I don’t eat many red meats, I eat beans avocados, chicken, and so many good things and I only get to drink sweet drinks on the weekend. I don’t even get to have candies or deserts. I get to eat chips like once a month. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Help?

  • Problem with fasting is, your body is set in starvation/survival mode and tries to keep the fat and not to lose it. So it stops burning calories. When you start eating again after a period of fasting, you’re body is still in that mode, so you will gain more than you lose. It’s called yo-yo-effect.

  • What if one takes appropriate amount of breakfast and lunch (2 PM) and eats nothing until the next day’s breakfast (7:30 AM), does that count for intermittent fasting?

  • This is another AD, and the ‘master class’ is also an infomercial to subscribe to mind valley. This is not content! This is an advertisement.

  • Yesterday i saw this video by chance then watched the whole masterclass i felt like I’ve lost 1 hour of my life watching this for nothing and then the whole ideas coming back to me and i don’t know how to describe it but it really gives me strength and motivation to begin a new lifestyle a new relationship with my body and food i had vegetables for dinner alkagizer for breakfast and today i decided to stop eating sugar carbs and dairy i did it really and i will commit to it i can’t believe that I drank coffee with no sugar since i live in Algeria and i can’t buy the programme unfortunately i will just pursue your golden tips thank god and thank you for this video

  • This guy is funny with his fake accent. Its fun to watch and c how many words he pronounces wrongly. Like how he says his body went ‘true’ a transformation as opposed to saying ‘through’ a transformation.

  • He does not look 40 I thought he was about 30 years old how ever I do for give B U T I DO BEILEVE In Love as it does not exist and I think just made up thing when it boyfriend and gril

  • this is motivating! good job girl! also you should mention how women have different body types. some ppl esp skinny ppl can eat a lot and not get fat some ppl are the bigger side eat a lot and can’t lose weight. the difference between my father and mother. it is also wonderful that you mentioned go to the gym for yourself not to be someone else. we are all unique in our own ways, even our body types.

  • Your advertisements on YouTube is too much, and it’s starting to really annoy me. Every time I open youtube there is an advertisement of yours. Please understand to get customers you shouldn’t advertise a million times, it starts to have the opposite effect.

  • Great educational movie! I agree: food is really everything. Considering this:
Why don’t we receive education about our basic need of nutrition in the education system?

  • Uhm, sunscreens, almost all of them, cause cancer. And most truck drivers are exposed to sun ALL DAY EVERY DAY. And most truck drivers have poor nutrition habits to protect from THAT much sun. A sensible exposure to sun with no burning and enough nutrients will protect you. Again, sun screen, unless it is okay to EAT it, will do way more harm than good unless MAYBE you are a junk food junkie truck driver. Come on man.

  • It’s amazing how life changes for the better when we make our health a priority. Appreciate you sharing this story about you and your team Vishen.

  • I don’t speak english that great for saying you how much your video helped me. Your speech was so inspirational for me right now, when I’m in quarantine because of coronavirus I’m just laying in bed and watching stupid videos on youtube (yours’ not stupid!!). I don’t always watch yt videos in english till the end, because I don’t really understand that much. But your video was so amazing for me and I watched it till the end! You persuaded me to start fighting with my “lazy girl staying in bed” me. Thank you so much for that. I hope everything I wrote makes sense to you:D As I said, thank you, and I am sending you grettings from Czech republic! Hope you are doing fine during this time of coronavirus!

  • Just eat one meal a day ( aka intermediate fasting)

  • HI, ik im a little late, but i just want ppl to know that MyFitnessPal isnt exactly accurate to what youre eating. i use it, and i think its a great app to help, but again its not really accurate with portion sizes and everything. idk if that really matters to people but yeah

  • Intermittent fasting give us more levity in what we can eat? We can eat what we want and how much as long as we do it in a certain time window?

  • i can’t tell you the amount of times i started a “fitness journey” and gave up after a day or a few days does anyone have any tips or tricks?!? obviously i need some discipline but idk it’s just hard for me

  • I’ve watched so many fitness journey videos to try and be inspired and it never stuck. I’ve never seen someone be so real in a video like this. I’ve always hated the ‘new year, new me’ mentality bc it sets the expectation that you don’t have to follow through bc who does?? This was so eye opening.

  • I really like and respect you but if i may offer a critique, as far as this video is concerned, you are using your hand-gestures too aggressively. Please tone it down for next time. Thank you for being a selfless educator and you have re-kindled a movement that is gaining momentum in the western world

  • I want to lose fat and would like to try IF.

But first, I just want to ask if it is true that our body also tries to burn muscle to get energy?

I’m doing exercise at home to build some muscle but I’m worried that instead of losing more fat, I lose muscle.

    Thank you.

  • I’m in a different boat but I’m overweight and need to trim down, this has helped me with everything! You’re so sweet and I can honestly tell you mean every word you say

  • this video is the lost inspiring video of all time!! i wish i would go to the gym (besides corona) but it’s too expensive for me so i need to wait till i get money from working

  • I want to lose belly fat and then build a booty, but I can’t handle the fact that I lose my booty when I lose weight. It makes me insecure and wanting to stop.

  • Love this video! You have helped me have a much healthier relationship with food by focusing on nourishing my body. Of course I still track a lot to have the knowledge of food macros. I really needed this video as I felt I was falling off track with that relationship with food because of recent injuries and sickness. I get to train again Monday so will be back full swing in nourishing my body and drinking my water.

  • It’s good to hear Mindvalley and Mr Vishen.
    Let me tell the facts
The science will say hacks about meditation and which frequencies can be released in which state and also there will be new stuff coming up with the research for humanity but it will never able to go beyond higher self (let’s say divine state) which ancient rishis and munis and enlightened can go because the people who are doing research on the lab may or may not doing an experiment with themselves and to know more about that has to go simply oneself inside.
Some research topics to study more below:
The true fact is that actually, the body is inside the mind. Many have a misconception on this that mind is inside the body. Do research on this.
Why not tell more about breathe and meditation as they have more energy than food and sleep?
I wanna hear more about food what is meant for a human to be healthy so that body is in a pure and healthy state
what about yoga I learned and have experienced that body and mind to be better within 1-2 months
What about Ayurveda as everybody has a different body and same food cannot have a similar effect to other people? I came to know that modern medicine is essential but I found that Ayurvedhaknowing more about it has helped me to decide what I need to take for my body depending on the nature of it and this has helped me to be healthy and away from diseases.
Today’s science is more materialistic so there is more depression, suicide, anger, hatred etc. So, the material world and the spiritual world must be balanced to have a good state of mind.

  • Loved this! Quick question though if you do have a dairy intolerance what kind of protein powder do you use? I am struggling with figuring out what to chose with iso whey vs plant-based…

  • Kaleigh I love you and this video. Your hard work and dedication has paid off and shows!! You are an inspiration. You help keep me accountable each week and your insta stories put myself in check when I know I have been slacking. THANK YOU. ✨

  • I think a big thing people don’t realize is that the fitness industry as a business has made it seem so complicated to gain or lose weight through marketing to make you think you NEED their products or programs. It’s this simple eat at a calorie surplus or deficient and eat whole foods. And having s few cookies here and there is not bad.

  • Thanks for letting me know how to use that dang scale I have been trying to figure out how to weight things! If your interested in learning about gluten free diet theres a good book called Wheat Belly

  • i don’t drink sugary drinks when i’m drinking alcohol but i wish i could stick to just two. i really need to work on it. i’m trying though. i almost think that if i did drink something with more substance than just like a vodka soda that maybe i would drink less. it’s really a downfall of mine. it’s almost like i drink too much bc im bored or excited or social anxious or something. idk. loved the vlog! you always make me feel motivated and relaxed at the same time.

  • Hey Ally! If you haven’t already heard of it, you should listen to the plant proof podcast! It’s super interesting (and informative) all about embracing plant based lifestyle.. I personally still eat fish, eggs etc like you but also hoping to transition towards a more vegan lifestyle in the future! Ps loving the content girl, all the way from Australia ☺️❤️

  • Saw your IG post about the support with using your links and I’m proud to say I def splurged in Ally’s name! Lol but for real though, I have a question about supplements and I dont want to ask here since you are sponsored by a certain company so maybe email?

  • That’s the first video I have ever watched from you and I already love you. Thanks for sharing your story I love you too and you are really inspiring ❤️❤️❤️

  • Por alguna razon lo escucho e intuyo q ha de ser muy interesante. Pero el inconveniente es que no entiendo nada nadita nada. ¿Seria posible en español

  • How can I stop binging on nuts? I mean I could stop buying them but than I crave dark chocolate or something as desert.. and I don’t like to eat fruit a lot because I get addicted and I get the feeling of not getting satisfied, also I get hungry afterwards really quick, only with fruits!!

  • Ally I loved this video! I always wonder how are you supposed to measure the apples though‍♀️ because you don’t eat the whole apple.

  • Loved the vlog. It was very informative. I work at a grocery store and it’s amazing the cost difference in organic and non organic products. Especially the fruits.

  • I just need some advice rn, I want to have that figure I’ve always dreamed of, I want to have curvy hips and a bigger bum bc I’m more of a skinny, fit figure. I have eating issues that change dramatically day by day with starving then binging which has caused some fat in my stomach which terrifies me. To grow an ass u will put fat which is why I haven’t started the surplus bc I’m scared of changing my waist. I run every night and switch between ur workouts and an ab workout. But I want that desired shape so badly

  • It was very interesting hearing your measurements bc mine are pretty much the same but I feel like we look very different. I also don’t have boobs tho soooo

  • But sparkling water contains too much salt sometimes and gas its not the best thing to drink, but I guess its better than coffee.

I ll say to give up cofee for me it worked better to switch to green tea

  • I love this episode of yours Vishen…for many reasons. The foremost is freedom as a great factor to know further oneself and do what the I Am desires to do. Thank you and love bless you more, you, Christina and kids.

  • Vishen names a book at 2:57, “God in your brain” by what sounds like Dr. Mark Walkam? Is the author Vishen’s talking about Dr. Mark Waldman, who wrote “How God changes your brain”?

  • Omg this was so inspiring. I am on a weight-loss journey now and I can agree the gym can be so therapeutic. It is the best therapy. I want you to know that you give me even more hope and you are very inspirational. Thank you ✨☺️

  • Mind valley quests are very very expensive, I am in India and can’t afford it please make some courses that an average Indian student could buy,…. It should be affordable to everyone. Hope you will understand.

  • The truly sad thing about this Vishen guy is he worships ‘successful’ people. Its the biggest red flag imaginable to convey the message that they are somehow better or more valuable than what Jesus called the ‘least of these’. When I find a spiritual teacher that refuses to take money for the insights that are freely given to them from above and who stops trying to make everyone think that the shits they take don’t smell as bad as mine do then I’ll listen.
We all want to get better but at what cost?
Shall we eliminate our brothers and sisters who are not enlightened?
We dare not for if we do we prove that the light we claim to have is actually darkness.

  • I love Mindvalley but Sodastream? Really? As Vishen would (should) say “complete bullshit”

  • Sunscreens are loaded with chemicals Parabens etc. Sunshine ☀️ is natural. Consume Budwig cream ( Joanna Budwig Google her)
Sparkling water comes in plastic bottles and plastic has leeched into it Buy products in glass containers only.

  • Too bad the jjvirginshakeguide.com link to submit my email address says that it DOESN’T EXIST anymore…but then, this video is from 2016

  • Love most of the video and agree with most of your points. However at 15:18 when you start talking about the kettlebell swing, you are demonstrating incorrect form that could cause people to hurt themselves.

  • Sun is essential for you. Too much is bad. Morning light from the sun is essential for healthy living. Also sunlight in the morning can protect you from the sun. Sunscreens are dangerous. Cover up instead. Please see ewg.org for information on sunscreen. See jack Kruse for sun.

  • hi, so… i weighted about 119 Kg at the end of 2017 and got to 93 Kg the last summer.I started gaining weight again because my timetable shifted and i had to leave to 5 AM in the morning to school and get back home at like 3-4 PM. i had like at least 11 KM of walking every day and then getting home and doing homework and finding time to relax and eat and i kinda got to a little burned out. i eat erratically and don’t have a schedule, i feel tired all the time, can’t stand light, lack of motivation and a sensation that i must sleep continuously. I just want to take action and get better. can you tell me how to start?

  • can you please send me a good meal plan and everything to not eat.. i am literally in the same boat i LOVE fitness and growing the mindest, i always love learning new things and during quarantine since gyms are closed, i have been slacking and i want to get back on track. crazy how much i relate to this video.. i go to the gym because i love bettering myself and its the biggest stress reliever, i struggle with bad anxiety too especially depression.. i have been through the darkest deepest shit too n im 18 years old.. so that’s amazing how i can relate. my goal is to be slim thick, healthy on inside n out, strong positive mindset. please help me out with a routine/food guide.

  • This is so inspiring! I relate so much on the anxiety and depression. I started going to the gym after heartbreak and it has changed my life. My confidence after it, went up not because my body changed but my mentality. The gym IS my therapy. I’m not even gonna lie I already cried twice because i miss it so much. It has really made a big impact on my mental health. And I feel like everyone needs to see this! ❤️

  • I literally never leave comments on Youtube, but I just want to say, I stumbled across you yesterday, and you’re literally my favorite ever wow! You’re so genuine and motivational!!! I love it! It’s so refreshing! I’ve been trying to get in shape lately, and most fitness girls I’ve come across seems so…dry? Like you actually have personality and aren’t fake!!! I don’t know how to quite explain it, but I genuinely enjoy your videos because you emit such real and positive energy. I appreciate you and what you’re doing! I did two of your home workouts yesterday and my stomach dying today haha!! I’m looking forward to more of your videos girl! Thank you for what you do!!! <3 (Also, you're literally so gorgeous! I'm not sure if anyone has ever told you this, but something about you reminds me of Halsey and I'm not sure what it is!)

  • This is a very stupid person. He is advertising so much that everyone will be pissed off who once subscribed him and then unsubscribed him.His only motive to earn money in the first place.Firstly,he gives the half knowledge, and then ask you to pay.But what he is giving,Joe dispenza, the author of Breaking habit of being yourself and Becoming supernatural are giving you enough info to reach to your subconscious mind and reprogram it.A large number of programs are shit.He is telling, there is always a energy is flowing,Yeah,I already felt it in the Joe dispenza in no charges. Some programs like Jim kwik are amazing. The market of Providing spirituality is growing and he has a fear of not getting money, that’s why he is using different mind techniques on the other hand Joe dispenza does not advertise like this guy.If you really want a peace and success,Go for Joe dispenza and Sadhguru who is telling Isha kriya in the simple way and very powerful and not demanding any money.Joe dispenza will tell you why do you need workshop,if you need then go Otherwise he has been given sufficient info in his book which is available online in free.Maybe it can be disappear after my comment.

  • can you stop spaming me with ur ads on all of my youtube video. i am sending three wishes in universe 1. stop ads. 2. stop those fucking ads. 3. go to heave

  • I also want to stop bringing donuts for my team mates. Please tech my belly to lose fat, and understand the way of life. Where can I pay to burn sugar and transform my life?

  • What the hell! Figure skating is a sport… it’s just as much cardio as running or sprinting plus throwing yourself into the air rotating and landing, and sometimes falling. It’s a winter Olympic ‘sport’.

  • thank you so much for this. i’m also “skinny fat” where I have a lot of excess fat in my stomach but my arms and legs are skinny. I want to workout and lose fat, but I don’t want my legs to get skinnier and going to the gym is just so scary, but I was finally starting to do it but now covid happened and

  • Hiiii I just had one question in a video you said that your dad was currently living with you and I was wondering if it was perminant?

  • omg does anyone else reaaaaaly want her to try a cloe ting workout challenge like the 2 week ab shred or anything else… her body is obviously so beatiful but id just love to see her do that and motivate me lmao

  • if she wants to lose weight for a goal and feel better she literally needs to eat fewer cals. she will not lose weight if she is eating an amount (like 2000 cals) as it is too much energy going in even with exercise. not in any way am I saying she needs to lose weight, however, she will need to reduce her calories if wanting to lose weight.

  • If you want to do measurements you could measure your thighs & biceps (L&R) to see if your muscle growth is even! Some trainers do it as a physical way to see if you are favoring one side of your body!!

  • I feel that fasting works for me, so I use it now and then. However, I still have a lot of doubts about it. Is it true that one can not lose fat but muscle while fasting?

  • i love seeing more mainstream youtubers doing CrossFit!! (i’m a coach) I so desperately want more people to know that it’s such an amazing community and workout regime! killing it bb

  • Ally, you mentioned you try to go plant based but still eat protein (chicken) but protein originates from plants. You don’t need chicken or meat to get protein, and by switching to more plant based you’re not contributing to the suffering and slaughtering of animals!♥️

  • hi haley! ps if you go to ryan’s vid you’re getting shaded for leaving your groceries in the car, even though it was just a mistake! don’t listen to them

  • my mom was super into crossfit for a long time and she brought me to a competition that one of her friends was competing in a while ago and oh my gosh it was quite the experience! very very interesting i recommend

  • Wow. Just Wow.

  • I’ve watched your videos since you were in high school and now your getting married!!! It’s so amazing how far you’ve come and congratulations!❤️

  • hi haley, i love that you talk about wanting to get fit to be a better athlete rather than to look a certain way. very refreshing:)

  • Love that you mentioned that tracking macros or calories can be toxic❤ i used to feel that way but never knew that this was common, i thought it was just a ‘me’ problem

  • You should so do one of the Chloe Ting challenges! I’ve been binge watching transformations from her free workout series on YouTube.
