  • Hey Marie, great video I had a quick question if you have the time. How were you able to search for a recipe from the recipe database from your weekly meal plan database? Did you have to make each recipe a page? If so, how?

  • I made my body transformation. I was able to lost 15lbs for only one month and finally started feeling healthy. I took plan from Next Level Diet and followed their tips. Thank you #NextLevelDiet

  • Hello! I find the videos on the organization of the house very interesting. “desperate housewife” is the exact definition of how I am!! In small steps I try to organize myself.. starting right from the plan menu. These are my tips for how to compile it without trauma:)

  • I really like the way that planner is laid out. I have been inventorying our freezers and cabinets for a while now but I just started meal planning. I use a notebook that’s sectioned. I’m not sure if I want to get a specific planner just for that, but if I did, it’d be one like that.

  • Love your setup! I’ve been trying to figure out whether there’s an easy way to tick off the “need now” grocery check boxes, without having to scroll between the recipe and the grocery list how do you do it when creating your shopping list based on the recipes?

  • I love this so much but am so lost from around 4:10 how are these individual weeks all configured? I know you mentioned an ‘inception’ kinda thing happening but I’ve been trying just about everything to figure this out and nothing ends up being what you have there:(
I’m looking to have one template weekly plan that I can just reuse each week anew, without losing the previous week’s info (much like what you’re showing). They’re not all individual databases, are they? Or pages? I’m so confused.
Would love a follow-up video on how this is all configured. Thanks!

  • Also loved that you did both bc my drawing skills aren’t as good as yours soo seeing that I can do it the other way is great for me too!

  • Dear Anne this looks so energy draining. I have an idea. Why don’t u publish one of these already organized and scheduled digitally by you so we can buy them?!

  • Awesome tips! Meal prep has definitely saved me money in the grocery store and keeps me from straying from the list! I’ve also started freezing the leftovers of meals like soups, chilis, etc (when I end up cooking too much) for quick work lunches for my husband or days when we are too busy to cook and noticed a big decrease in waste!

  • Hey! I can actually edit on your template which is amazing. But however, having a problem on how to actually make a new template for the week? You didn’t quite explain how you made the June 28 column in your weekly meal plan @ 5:21 Please help!

  • Im so lost… How did you create those columns inside that page? Every time I try to drag the directions to the left of the ingredients it doesn’t create that clean separation that you have…

  • Hello Marie! I love your template. I tried the link but it’s not the same template and before the link was out, I was able to have the old one but you can’t edit it. I would highly appreciate it if you could tell me how to get the template or make one from scratch. Thank you!

  • Savings tip: check to see if your grocery store has an app. Mine does, and it has additional savings and bonus rewards based on my frequently purchased items. You just tap to add it to your store’s reward card. I’ve saved tons of money that way and it takes just a few minutes to scan the extra deals.

Also, if I wasn’t already subscribed, that Schrute Farm decal (and the content, obvi) would’ve definitely pulled me in.

  • BTW, I love this! Currently I’m planning in Trello but this seems so much more structured! Love that you have the recipes at the bottom there! Whoo!

  • Great Review! I was hoping you’d go be to the Carrie Elle planner. I really love the layout of it. When I start meal planning I’ll definitely be using her planner. Tyfs ❤️

  • Love the simplicity of your approach. I have two freezers full and my cabinets are full but I never “have” anything to cook! Doing my inventory shortly! Also, Love Big Y (I’m in Enfield CT)

  • One more tiny money saving tip is to make your own taco seasoning. I always make a giant batch and keep it on hand. You probably already have all the spices you need Meal planning is definitely the best way to save $ on groceries

  • You definitely give great, truthful advice and taught me a thing or two I haven’t done before. I’m about to no longer be a SAHM! Did you have your coffee girl or did I miss it lol?!? I have mine here…

  • 5:15.. but how do you stretch page of a particular week across the days on the calendar? Also, the view called “Jul 28” did you create that before shooting this video? And where are the views for the previous weeks? What do you do with an old week once it’s done? Like, how do you save it?

  • love it prefer the one in color, but i can t draw to save my life.
Please what is the pen you use, you note the pencil an all else but that pen, it doesnt get all sloppy when you put color on it that s amazing, never found black pen that write fine like that and that i could use liner on it

  • Hi thanks for the great ideas! I clicked the link to your site and it says website not available. Is there another way to access your meal plan PDF?

  • I love the Happy Planner books. This looks kinda similar, but not as versatile. You should check them out for when this gets filled in. Cheaper too, when you buy on sale.

  • I love the perforated grocery list:) I just print a free monthly calendar for my meal planning (I only plan supper-lunch and breakfast the fam’s on their own).

  • Great video! I started meal planning about 6 months ago and it really has helped with the grocery bill and we never have the “what’s for dinner?” question. We don’t always stick to the days planned for each meal, but I usually pick two options and let my husband pick what he would rather have.

  • Paying attention to your planner do you have the recipe for cauliflower tikka marsala I love your videos I’m a mom and I love to cook for my family

  • Fully agree with the coupon cutting problem. The VAST majority of the time the coupons are only for name brand items, and the off brands are so cheap that even the discounted name brands are more expensive. The only exception for me is e-coupons from my local grocery store which discounts their own off brand products (plus manufacturers coupons, too). The handy search engine makes it so I don’t have to slog through 100 pages of advertising. Just search, click, and save… 15 minutes tops.

  • There’s a smaller one? I’ll check it out. Thought about making a travelers notebook & using it as meal planner with the inserts… New to you. I enjoy your meals.

  • Loved this video One thing that has made meal planning easier for me is actually making my grocery list on my grocery store’s pick up app. I don’t actually pick my groceries up, but when I search for them I can easily compare prices and see if there are any coupons. So I don’t feel like I’m spending so much more time make my list/looking for deals and I know exactly what I’m buying.

  • Great review and discussion about how you use it!! I think I would break my pantry down in the area you aren’t currently using, with my bottled canned and jars of overstock just to help, or the odd ball stuff I keep but don’t have year round, could be very helpful with planning!!

  • I got my diet plan from Next Level Diet and lost 2kg in just 10 days. So far, so good. Can’t wait to see numbers on scale after 20 more days. I am so excited about this.

  • Great video!! I’ve been meal planning for a few years now, even taught a class at my church! My biggest tip is to make a master list of meals that your family loves separated by protein/main ingredient or category, ex. chicken, beef, soup, new to try, etc. I will do a monthly inventory of the deep freezer and pantry and go from there. Also, Instant Pots are lifesavers!! HAHA

  • I love this template! However, when I duplicated it to my Notion, I can’t edit anything, as in add my own recipes, pages, edits, etc.:( Can anyone help with this?

  • Looking at your recipe database in this video, looks like you have some great recipes that we would love to try. You mentioned that the database is easy to share. Any chance you could share that with us?

  • I started meal prepping this week for my husband and I. But I do need a print out! I’m so glad you have one to print out. I started to make one.

  • $0 is my favorite cost also! I loathe buying something, even on sale, and find the exact same item in my pantry that I didn’t see before shopping.

  • I GOT 2KG OF LEAN MUSCLE MASS IN ONE MONTH!!! I simply visited website called Next Level Diet and they provided me with diet plan, training plan along with amazing fitness and nutrition tips. Believe me, it’s just amazing!!! #*Next Level Diet*

  • Video idea: cooking magazine review. So Rachel ray vs cooking light vs America test kitchen vs other magazine stand magazines.

So what do you like or dislike in the layout vs ads vs style of recipes included.

So for example, I had a subscription to Rachel ray…until I noticed a lot of recipes I was paying for were on her website or food network site for free. Plus some of her ingredients are not the cheapest…fancier cold cuts etc.

Meanwhile I love cooks country & cooks illustrated (haven’t checked to see how similar they are to Americas test kitchen same company).

  • I will start doing it…for vegetables and meat…but in the day i go to buy it..I will first do a price research in maybe 3 or more supermarkets…SÓ after i do a comparation in prices and itens… i will do the meal planner…I hope i do it in Just one day…and on foot…it will be my sport

  • I’m definitely going to check out the website. Thank you for sharing because I been looking for a meal planner and never found one I like.

  • Who would have believe that I will finally find a diet that works. It’s called NextLevelDiet and you are just a few steps away from getting your diet prepared. Trust me, don’t waste your time on stupid diets and fat loss pills or teas.

  • There isn’t any type of weight loss tea or a magic tablet. There are only clever weight loss as well as training. NextLevelDiet is a terrific tool to begin with due to the fact that it offers you whatever you require to reach your physical fitness goals.

  • Honestly, I never had problems with my weight. I could eat whatever I wanted and still maintain normal weight, but a lot of junk food really affected my health. Diet plan from Next Level Diet contains delicious and nutritionally rich foods your body, brain and heart will love. It’s definitely worth trying.

  • Hey Vanessa, love the lemon print, so you for sure!! I saw Jen Chapin has one of those, and although they look amazing and super organized, that’s way too involved for me. I haven’t got it all together that well, lol!!. I’m definitely gonna go check it out anyway though because now is as good as time as any to start getting things organzied on a deeper level. Thanks for the review. There is definitely a good possibility that I would purchase this because it has so much to offer. Thanks again. Have a great weekend!!

  • For real transformation you need perfect diet plan and training plan. The website called NextLevelDiet do it for you. I lost 14lbs in one month!!! Isn’t that amazing!?

  • YES buying something only to find out you had it is THE WORST! Last week I bought a can of chili (ok cheap example) and I normally only buy it when they’re BOGO and was kicking myself when I came home to find a ton of cans of chili from my last haul.

  • save money on produce by shopping at a farmer’s market when you can. not only have i found fresher produce for better prices but the farmer makes out better too

  • I disagree with the coupons… We go to Kroger and on average we save between $50-$99 dollars each trip… One time we saved $104!! On groceries!! Plus the coupons go on the Kroger card and you can print out the coupon list or use the Kroger app on your phone ‍♀️

  • Yay! Loved this meal planner review! I’ve been thinking of getting myself one for a while now. I think for myself the gatherings section might be useful for camping trips as we have a trailer and go several times a year.. Might help me keep track of what I have and need in there as well! great ideas. Thanks Vanessa! Have a great weekend!

  • I have the dillons app on my phone ( dillons is a kroger store in the midwest) they have coupons on there and some weeks that saves my family a ton of money and all you have to do is go through the list and push a button on the ones you want. Also if you do the scan bag and go option in store the scanner will alert you if there is a coupon and let you add it to your list so you save money that way too

  • love the doodles with the colors!! it’s mesmerizing to watch the sped up drawings come together. very satisfying and aesthetically pleasing

  • I’m kinda confused as to why the the picture of the watercolour set from the link in the description looks different to the one you used in the video.

  • I take inventory, look at my calendar for what’s going on that week, then I use the free app Mealime. You choose how many meals and how large the portions & family are, you can also rule out foods you don’t like or are allergic too & they have special diets if you need or want it. It puts together a shopping list for me. Then I order groceries online for pick-up (some places do delivery). Saves so much time & money. Then I meal prep on sundays.

  • As I started following diet and training plan from *Next Level Diet*, I took my confidence to the next level. Girls finally started noticing me.

  • I’ll give this spread a try, I’ve been wanting to do a meal planning spread for a while but I wasn’t sure hw I should do it. Your vid was super helpful!:D

  • Thanks for explaining the meal planner. Regarding your recipes you have in a box I started collecting so many that I put them in a ring binder using sheet protectors and tab sheets so I could have them separated by types i.e.breakfast, pasta, chicken etc. and you can arrange it any way you want. Just a suggestion.

  • Love your channel! I recently started meal planning, so really new to this. I found using colored pencils works great for me, that way if I change anything, I can erase and keep things looking neat and organized.❤️

  • Zero Dollars? Can’t think that way… It cost you something, just not this week. Why buy it in the first place if you don’t have a plan to use it even if in the future.

  • Wonderful video Marie. Quick question, the grocery list just says “avocado” or “carrots” when you’re in the store how do you know how much to buy? Do you have a better memory than me, or do you click into the recipes to see how much is called for? There are times I buy a total of 5 bell peppers for 3 different dishes, but I don’t want to be in the store opening those 3 recipes to count.

  • This is genius. While I embrace technology for many things such as reminding me of appointments, I prefer pen and paper for planning my life. I love these ideas as much as I love your time blocking and master running plan ideas! Thanks so much for sharing!

  • As I started following diet and training plan from NextLevelDiet, I took my confidence to the next level. Girls finally started noticing me.

  • This is honestly such a valuable video for people, such as myself, seeking to take full conscious control of their daily food intake. I am in the middle of adding a macro counter to each meal.

The one thing I am after is the ability to embed or create a graph (i.e. a pie chart) based on the data within the tables, so I can visually track certain things.

Have you come across anything like this? It would be very helpful

  • Can you do an outfit journal? I’m not really good in choosing my outfits but i do love journaling. I hope you can see this Ann!! Amazing video

  • I clipped coupons for a while, but then I stopped because I agree that the effort isn’t worth the return, and I generally find the coupons that are available are for things I don’t need.

  • Your “subscribe to this channel” clip was probably the cutest. Just random FYI. I 1000% agree when it comes to meal planning. On top of that I online shop with Walmart and do the pick up so I save even more because I ONLY get what I need. Great video!

  • Summer bodies are made in winter. I am making mine, what about you? You can create training and meal plan yourself, or you can save your time and visit *Next Level Diet*. You chose

  • There isn’t any fat loss tea or a magic pill. There are only smart dieting and training. NextLevelDiet is a great tool to start with because it gives you everything you need to reach your fitness goals.

  • Next Level Diet really took my diet to the next level. Not only diet, but life. I can see improvements in many aspects of my life. Guys, you rock! #NextLevelDiet

  • I only believe in *Next Level Diet*. They provide you with personalized meal plan, training plan, fitness tips, healthy recipes. Thats everything you need to transform your body and get six pack:D

  • Many people nowadays are working to find out the best method to drop weight. Then again, being able to discover a diet plan that will work for you is tough to discover. A very important factor you need to comprehend is that a diet that works for one person may not operate for another. So you have to know what your getting into before you start one of those diets. Therefore we’ve decided to offer you a good look in the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet. This can give you enough info to find out whether this is something which is appropriate to your requirements. Read more here

  • There’s an app (and online too) called Supercook where you can type or dictate all your pantry items into a list and it will scour the internet for all the recipes you can make with what you have!

  • Ehrmehgersh-I love the kitchen inventory idea and am going to print out some of those sheets. I am thinking about starting a revolving inventory of the contents of our chest freezer (TBH, I have no idea what’s in the bottom of that thing!). Is that too nerdy??

I also agree about coupon clipping. Even the digital coupons. I just end up buying stuff that’s not on my list to save a few pennies.

  • Could u do please do a workout out journal. I have started a fitness routine and have a journal for it but it isn’t as beautiful as yours. Would love some ideas. Thank you.

  • It could be worth lamenting/using lamenting sheets over the freezer inventory. It would help with keeping track of your staples on one page and maybe another for the prepped meals.

  • I made the red coconut curry sauce last week, which you featured on a prior meal planning video. It was SO SO GOOD! And a huge hit w/ my 5-y/o! Love all your videos!! PSI don’t clip coupons either but I use my grocery store’s app (Stop & Shop) and I can select/tap to coupons to add to my store card. They get deducted automatically if/when I buy the item.

  • Who would have believe that I will finally find a diet that works. It’s called NextLevelDiet and you are just a few steps away from getting your diet prepared. Trust me, don’t waste your time on stupid diets and fat loss pills or teas.

  • You’re sooo right. Meal planning can help you save soooo much money!! It’s helped us get out of debt and I meal plan every single week. Nice job!!

  • Watching your Notion webinar last night was a revelation. Is there ANYWHERE I can find more templates from you? Your daily tracking, visuals, how you’re using PARA and everything else just blew my mind . Teach me, Yoda!

  • I just did crockpot chicken and gravy and then chicken pot pie soup for a round two. We stick to a list. And the same about name brands. We do bulk where we can. We use our digital coupons and save well.

  • Both of these are so cute!! I’m the same I have to do nearly everything in my bullet journal with pencil before I go in with a pen or colour.

  • Couponing is so time consuming and I just don’t have the time. I started shopping at Aldi’s and use the sales. I need to get back into meal planning because the most stressful part of my day is around dinner time. Your video has inspired me and I look forward to getting the downloadable meal planning lists. Thank you

  • Hello! Love your video. If you don’t mind me asking, why do you use such a large bullet journal? Do you carry something small with you to compliment it? (Quick notes, reminders, lists, to dos)

  • I can’t believe I found this website. NextLevelDiet completely changed the way I look at diets. When I started following their diet plan, I realised that diet isn’t something you should be scared of and it can easily fit in your daily routine.

  • I would like some tips on motivation lol you seem to have it all together lol..I’m lacking sleep and omg don’t know if it’s the cold weather but I feel groggy and dealing with a lack of energy…Any tips…or on how to get overwhelmed taking care of a family and household duties would be nice…I’m new at it and omg it just stresses me out working all day and coming home to a disorganized home not too bad but I’m just not on top of it like I used too I’m ok with my home not being perfect all the time.

  • Pretty sure you’re the 1st person who has included taking inventory of what you already have for meal planning prep… great tip!
(Also, has anyone told you you look like Emmy Rossum??)

  • spent the whole night to adapt it to our version with my partner. and wish if the weekly meal plan can automatic assign the dates in the recipe session and tick the grocery list would be amazing. do you any idea how would it be possible?

  • My dad lost 100lbs. I visited NextLevelDiet and followed their steps. I only selected food he likes and they provided me with FULL PACKET in seconds. I got 30 days DIET MEAL PLAN, TRAINING PLAN, FITNESS TIPS, and HEALTHY RECIPES as well.

  • What a great planner. I am glad you found something that works well for you. I will be looking forward to your next video until then please take care and God bless !

  • I SHED 40kg!!! Now I’m really feeling healthy. I only complied with suggestions from site called NextLevelDiet. They gave me with 30 dish strategy, training strategy, physical fitness pointers as well as healthy and balanced recipes. See their website and also make your very own body transfromation!!!

  • Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and thoughts on meal planning. It really does help save money and sanity. I have also been trying theme days like Sunday Supper (fancier meal that take longer to prepare) Taco Tuesday (really Mexican theme) this also helps me think of meal ideas.

  • Thank you so much Kallie for all your helpful suggestions. My daughter and her husband have recently moved in with me and my husband. Dinner time is a huge issue, they both work full time and we are retired and have a few disabilities that make it a bit difficult to prepare dinner. They also eat later than we do. So, I’m always looking for helpful ideas and meals. Thank you so much for sharing this video. I’m going to print your free printables and attempt to use them. I have to try and make dinner easier.

  • I always check the receipt to make sure the sales price rang up. I check the discounted sections for deals to stock up. Like dented cans, damaged cereal boxes. Check the expiration date for sure. Then you have more options when meal planning in the future at a reduced cost.

  • I wanted to download the printable so I signed up for your newsletter and it said it’s on its way but I never got it in my inbox. All I got was a confirmation email which I clicked

  • I just got mine in the mail and I love it! Jen Chapin has it too, you amazing ladies think alike. I appreciate your advise and can’t wait to see all you upcoming videos, especially the veggie washing one! Thanks!!

  • Hi! i was wondering how you made your view so small, because right now all my blocks are 3 in a row and not 7 in a row like yours and i want it to be smaller.

  • Good video but for me, the shopping part is just common sense and I’ve never spent time on coupons. I don’t print or clip them. I grab them off the store shelf if it’s for products I use. I also don’t throw out food. I either make big quantit and freeze in portions or freeze an ingredient to use later. I always know what I have on hand, fridge, freezer, and pantry. I don’t meal plan but I have things already cut up or cooked in the fridge. I wash & cut up a variety of fruits, vegetables, salad ingredients, plain cooked rice and pasta for a quick stir fry. Just cook up some type of meat which I take from the freezer the night before and put in the fridge. But these are good tips for those who find shopping and meal prep daunting.

  • Ingredient sharing IS important. I bought leeks to use in one dish last week, and that odd an ingredient would go to waste if I didn’t, also, plan to use them in a new recipe I planned to make creating a bean soup. Leeks come in bundles where I buy them.

  • I LOVE this!! I am going to definitely do your printables and give that a go! I usually will meal plan in my head in the store… I can see the error of my ways! Haha! Thanks for all the work!!
