  • Those jokes are the best. I tried use it with my friends some of them are native and others no but the point is both of them laughed. THANKS CHRISTIAN.

  • The “I can’t” method is something I’ve achieved with being homeschooled and being lazy. I don’t have a problem telling myself no so telling myself I can’t do something will actually make me wanna do what I need to no matter how much time I take

  • Me and my family recently got kicked out of our house and I’ve been living in a tiny trailer home for almost a year now. After we moved, my puppy got hit by a car and died due to the lack of room, and no area to keep her in. She was my dog, and that just brought me down so much. Me being in my freshmen year when all of this happened really messed me up. I’ve lost all motivation to do anything. Stopped taking care of myself, would shower once a week, wouldn’t get dressed, wouldn’t do school work, don’t have any friends. It was just me showing up at school just to be there. Every day during lunch I’d go into bathroom stalls just to cry and didn’t have anyone to talk to about my problems. I don’t even remember any of my freshmen year because I did the same thing every day. And this quarantine was a relief at first. Not being able to go to school. But now that it’s summer, I’ve gained 10 pounds and can’t get motivated to do anything. I don’t know what to do. I’m at this point where I want to do things and my mind wants me to do it, but my body just won’t move. Anyone have any advice? I’m pretty desperate at this point.

  • I’m going to try 1 and 3 for now, I always procrastinate and get worse grades than what I could if I didn’t and I feel this video has helped a lot, and hopefully I get better with my work

  • I am procrastinating when I’m supposed to be doing boring homework by watching but this is the first video that is actually helpful

  • I always watch motivational videos when I need to BIG clean my room and you are part of my Productive Procrastination! I need to be writing scholarship essays to my last school but I’ve JUST finished (within the last week, two weeks) the essays and interviews for three other schools and I just can’t do more rn. So I’m trying really hard to do other productive things. Thank you for this.

  • I just don’t feel like doing anything. If I was allowed to, I’d be playing video games all day with no breaks. This feeling sucks. No, I’m not depressed or anything. I just genuinely don’t know what to do with my life

  • My mum told me that whenever you have the feeling to do your homework or if you suddenly remember that you have subject to do a revision. You have to immediately without thinking twice so you wont forget to do it later

  • A successful life is being able to look back when it’s time to take your final bow and seeing you did your best in pursuing your dreams/accomplishing your goals. A failed life is one of so-so effort or none at all; where you lived someone else’s life.

  • Elimination of Time Vampires
    Scripting my days
Environment of work motivates me a lot and help me to generate result faster and more efficient.

  • Yes, I am worried about losing something as I don’t know if I lose them, what can I do the next stepsthanks a lot, 我非常接受你的观点

  • i don’t even have the motivation to really listen to this video but like i am really really motivated and healthy bussy when my family is out of house but if there here i’ll be like tf happend now.

  • The problem is my brain is the most inpired and motivated at night but my energy level not and I have school in the morning and need to sleep, because I won’t be able to talk the whole next day if I didn’t sleep

  • What if you are the person that has a hard time with things like taking a shower? I have fibromyalgia, so even something like that can be painful and something you want to avoid. Also people that have depression are going to have a hard time doing things like getting out of bed or even brushing their teeth

  • tbh what I do im like ”just get up!! it’ll be worth it when ur done with the task” and then I get up but end up never completing the task

  • you should add english subtitle, for non english first language, to understand better your content. dont stop inspiring. sincerely aluxer

  • Well.. My approach is quite different…i create sub goals in order to achieve the long term goals.. There must be “to do list” for everyday.. I maintain a diary where I mention what special i have done today to achieve my target..from the time I opened my eyes from sleep in morning till the time I have closed my eyes for sleep at night… What different I have done today..?? make me stay focused and motivated.. Which Is my prime concern… Anyways I really love u Alux lady..! May be Someday I will find u and meet u to thank u for making my life better….And why not coz u belongs from soil of billionaires and future billionaires.. The America..! The land of startup and ideas… Long live Alux and Aluxer….

  • Use your laptop or desktop camera and create a video journal for yourself. That will act as a log and if you make it consistent it brings forth journal of your struggles as you see yourself committed to your life! Been doing it over 3 years of video of myself to check my true potential, but also for my family generation who will get to see this in a timely manner for embracing reminisce succession.

  • Thank you! This helped me a LOT… I am in the highest class in our school and there are tons of projects, research and I still have to review for our exams next week. I am having trouble in making my grades higher, it is actually the second quarter already but I still haven’t reached my average of 90% and if I don’t get 91% percent this quarter I might get demoted into the second highest class in our school.

I don’t want my parents to get sad, I also don’t want to get embarassed for getting demoted. I just want my family to be proud of me and it is very embarassing on my part that I got demoted, my parents tell their friends about it a lot and I don’t want to disappoint them.

  • At first I was intrigued by your real “best day of the week”. You see, I’m not the kind of person who’s into details, so, one day, I was watching your video and then you said “today is Monday, the best day of the week”. Three days later I was watching a different video and you repeated the same sentence! so now I’ve got to the conclusion that you’re the most optimistic person ever!!

  • me watching this to motivate myself to study for the stats final that I have tomorrow, after procrastinating for the past week. only to have to learn the entire unit less than 24 hours before my exam:))

  • I pray. Some problems are impossible and not microwave solutions. These are God’s problems. I’m supposed to learn something during the process. Thank you Alux!

  • I feel like I lost all my motivation, to do everything, since I discovered that my friends are fake my mind has been a mess, I just want to be in my bed all day and cry, it’s been like that for 1 week

  • Thank you for making a study tips video that isn’t just
     Drink some water
     Just do your homework
This video had some solid tips!!!

  • I love ur vids they make me motivated and productive but theres this one problem idk how to get better in english I’m not sure what to do pls can u do a video on that it will really help me. I love ur videos

  • Thanks for this I have online school work ans I have 5 late assignments but I have no motivation to do them because I know my teachers will accept them late anyways

  • Perhaps some people who feeling fear to keep motivated learn effectively less. I think I’m that type of person. I’m going to think about this.

To keep motivated myself, I usually probe me to view my progress. Some times I get frustrated, sometimes I get motivated. Only be patient.

    Thank you Christian.

  • i had a lecture today and my teacher just kept yip yapping i couldnt concentrate and i got stressed i gave up on the notes. and the notes were things thats gonna be on the test. any tips?

  • the problem is sometime I don’t feel like studying…but I need to complete tha certain amount because of test or assignment..then I subconsciously start doing house chroes like clening dishes..declattering my desk…and still after doing these things I can’t get much study done…beacuse I have that little amount of energy left

  • I like the idea of writing down the “why”, but here’s a great tip that works for me:
Write down big, past successes and how you felt. When you’re not doing well or feeling down, you can go back to the “wins” and you’ll remember how you felt then. It really re-motivates me.

  • The only way I get anything done during the day is to “reward” myself with a Netflix episode Or something else. I also do the timing method… Work for 30 minutes/“play” for 30 minutes… Several times a day

  • I love the 5 second rule!! Something that I also do to motivate myself is to start with an “easier” task that I can easily accomplish, that way, I feel fulfilled and am more likely to want to get to accomplish task!

  • i used to get good grades and was the top student of my batch last year, but ever since the start of 10th grade i don’t have motivation to do anything. i’m too tired to even shower, eat, or do basic things.

  • I don’t even like social media and I’m a teenager. Is that normal?
Additionally, I’m trying to master Calculus in year 9, Is that also normal?

  • Have watched all your vedios You guys are really great and provide reply good motivation for me when ever I lose focus…thx a lot,,

  • Now, this is an excellent video. It’s interesting that the action doesn’t have to start with the thing you’re avoiding. I’m going to test that theory out for sure. Will a bit of fun get me moving and give me energy for doing things that are not so much fun? Will I be able to carry the feeling of success from one easy thing to another more challenging thing?

  • As promised I wrote an article on how to get discipline on my website. I explained the tips in this video + two extra tips here: http://waystostudy.com/tip4/

  • Watching this instead of doing my writing right now. Does that mean I’m slacking off or being productive? Because on one hand I’m avoiding my work, but on the other hand I’m watching this video so that I can be inspired to do my work in the future.

  • Thank you so much for this video! I followed the first few steps, then made coffee and emptied the dishwasher at the same time. Then I cleaned my desk while waiting for the coffee to cool off. I then got through all of my review questions for a test! I took breaks between each section but I got through it!

  • Me:
    *in 2nd year(I think that’s like 8th Grade, 12/13)*

  • normally for someone to earn my subscription they have t be really good and this is the third video of you i am watching and i have to tell you, you earned my subscription

  • im in a spiral i barely get up my room is a mess i sleep till 4 in the afternoon i havent been eating right i go days without showering i havent gone outside in a while im losing muscle weight. right now i WILL get up and clean my room and do a workout before i take a shower and then go to bed by midnight because i will be happy and refreshed tomorrow with a clean room, clean mind, and clean body.

  • Your. Explanation. Of. Playlists. Is. So. Accurate.

“…makes you feel like a warrior, or like you want to dance…”
So relateable, I feel warrior passion in my songs, not just dancing.

  • when i want to get motivated, i write. i make plans. i make them again. and again. i cry at times, other times, i sing. or reward myself with a dish i just prepared. or i talk to my mom.

  • Build a streak, try not break it.. and when you do, don’t be discouraged by it… Just take that day as though it was a rest day and keep on keeping on hard the next day.

  • How to stay motivated? How to keep studying?
Just do it that’s how. If you keep things piling up of course you will want to run away. Believe me. I am going through crams right now. And it’s not funny.

  • Hi dear teacher. Good teacher. I have seen a lot of yours videos. But I have been a little bit disappointment how can I send a present for you by the post-office?:)))

  • .. motivation is different for everyone. some times motivation for me is to be that man that my first (or my dream) love deserves.
but the strongest motivation is to be in harmony with my higher self. every day to be better than yesterday.
………optimism means courage.. can u get it?:)

  • Exactly, thank you! This is what gives me a drive and makes me proceed with all those English activities I try to implement in my daily routine the feeling that otherwise, I’m going to lose an avalanche of all those wonderful opportunities that a good command of a foreign language brings with

  • honestly tip #5 was really smart and i didnt even realize how simple but effective that was. i literally had to pause the video to edit my notifications right then & there because i get so many and a bunch of them are unnecessary. thank you for this video, im really at a low point because its the end of the semester and ive ran out of energy and motivation to go to classes anymore. i know im almost at the end but i just get tired and irritated and i just want it to end at this point. there are about 3 weeks left in the semester and i need like an extra little push just to get me to the finish line and im hoping that i can get there with the tips you gave in this video. again, thank you so much, i really appreciate this video <3

  • I cant help watching your daily digest! You’re good at any language! You’re absent now so I repeat watching the same video that had been viewed galore!

  • I get lazy about studying i failed my Xmas test and my mom said go study and i had a maths test coming up and i got 72%my mom was happy

  • I love your videos! Sometimes I wonder, where do you get the ideas? For example, is this a summary of a few ideas from a book? Could you quote the source in your video information? If I want to read more about it, where can I find more?

  • Awesome video and congrats on the sponsor! This channel has come a long way since I started and I am happy it is still going strong!

  • The question how to use the language in a proper way? and with who how to find people with the same interest so we never west our time?

  • Just taking about a minute to sit there and think I was able to clear my mind which allowed better work. Thank you if I hadn’t come across this video I wouldn’t have finished my English essay on time.

  • Your videos always motivate me so much (it kind of “doesn’t matter” what you’re talking about:D )!
Keep up these beautifully shot videos:)

  • Other tips
    • Get dressed
    • See how you can make it fun or different. Kind of like with the timer tip. See how quickly you can do your task(s).
    • Remind yourself that cleaning is an act of gratitude, productivity is an act of love and self care.

  • Thanks ever so much, Christian! English is fun with you. I am from Vietnam and I promise that I will be following your channel until I am exhausted:)

  • I stop procrastinating by thinking of procrastinating when I get home from school, but I end up doing the opposite and do stuff that are productive.

  • Hi Ellena. I 1st came on the web to look up your apple cider vinegar recipe & as I scrolled through have liked your beginners exercise and now this, the motivation. #no: 7 & 8 were my favourite on yr list. Having a goal & 8 etc Thank you

  • I’m trying to find some motivation rn because I’m sooooooooooo close to dropping my class because I don’t wanna do my 7 pg essay!!!

  • Watching this instead of doing my writing right now. Does that mean I’m slacking off or being productive? Because on one hand I’m avoiding my work, but on the other hand I’m watching this video so that I can be inspired to do my work in the future.

  • i lost weight then put it back on so im on a mission to get the body i was happy with!! oh i love ur video small spaces my sitting room isnt big.and i put on music chanel its fun

  • My motivation was for a long time the possibility to understand a movie or my favorite serie without subtitles. Today I can say that I achieved to do that. Now a days I try to keep my brain trained to understand other people and their diffreret cultures. And I keep learning English trough that motivation because I know I have a lot to improve in my speaking.

  • if you dot do the thing that you need to do then you have to work out

me who watched this because i need motivation to work out:
    well, fuck

  • Creativity Follows Commitment.

The random experiences of motivation are designed by God to give us a brief taste of success and accomplishment, so we will learn that it is worth making a serious commitment.

  • I don’t even have the motivation to get motivated!! I don’t have the self control to stop myself from procrastinating. I wish it was this simple, I can’t just say out loud I’m gonna do it and then do it? Am I the only one? sooo stuck

  • Thank you. For focus: Airplane mode (or leave phone in different room AND Bulletproof coffee / low carb diet. • It’s really interesting to hear about such researches. I incline to think that it mostly refers to adult students’ motivation. I’ve been teaching kids ( 0 17) for 10 years and everything goes differently with each student, but steadily ahead. When I deal with grown-ups, the same story repeats again and again. They want to be race-runners with the guarantee of great award at the end of short distance, they ask me in how many months they would gain A2 or B2, marathon repulses them. Eventually, they give up on English and explaine that they would better dedicate more time to the present job and make some extra money. I suppose that they are of “promotion type”, but usually they come to me after finishing very expensive courses of foreign languages where their “prevention” side has failed. Of course, nobody gives them money there, but they consider crazy money they pay an investment and diligently attend their classes with, unfortunately, not very impressive results in the end of the term. And at this point I may agree with Eric Kaufman that a person first of all should be interested in something. For example, yesterday I was talking to Americans about the Thermopylae battle, some details I got from WiKi and other resourses about Leonides and 300 Spartans, and nothing could stop me cos I just like it, cos I have a pleasure discussing this kind of stuff. And I have no idea how to motivate people with the “potential advantages” they are losing because of their “poor” English.

  • Remember: Big stars have been cheating all the time: The Rock Dwayne Johnson taking steroids, getting depression. Like many x-football stars or wrestlers. Bill Gates a thief (stole great knowledge from Apple and copied Netscape etc. etc.). Kennedy family making their first millions as liquor dealers in the prohibition. For elections working together with the NYC italian mob. And so on and on….

  • Always before I start study I watch this videos because them motivate me!
    I have a studygram when I put the things I do for study.If you want: @matilde_studies ❤️

  • I’m so glad I discovered you at this point in my life. I need motivation. I feel useless and worthless. I know it’s all because of my inaction. You’re really inspiring

  • This was a fantastic vid!

“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going”. -Jim Rohn

“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right”. -Henry Ford

“Focus on potential and not limitations”. -Alan Loy McGinnis

  • You’re are absolutely right about the motivations for improving your language level.
The Irish joke you’ve mentioned, is really funny!

  • Ok but what if by 1 I don’t get up?
What if I just keep watching Netflix and just don’t workout?
    Because I can???
How do you find the motive to discipline yourself when nothing is really forcing you to be disciplined??

  • For every small or large video that I watch about skills to improve myself, I whisper a small thank you. Whatever the channel it is, if its content is high quality, I’ll stick around to see more. And this channel has really helped me. Thank you (in a shout).

  • Thank you so much miss Elena! I feel very motivated in your 7’th motivation!:) I’m not going to be afraid to use measuring tapes.

  • I’m actually just now wasting Time on you tube to get myself motivated instead of just shutting my computer down and thinking just a second without any other sounds that disturb the silence…so if anyone is reading this stop just for one minute and have an argumentation in your head about why you should watch this video. But before think about what you have to do and the consequences!

  • All of these worked for me!! Im so happy that this was made, how I didnt think of this Lol! My GPA went higher im now at 3.7!! Thanks

  • Elena, you are such an inspiration. From you, I’ve learnt about apple cider vinegar, turmeric, and now, quotes! I loved your quote so much that I screenshot a photo of YOUR phone now placed on my ipad screen! Do you have a site of your quotes to screenshot?

  • Remind yourself of the challenges you’ve overcome. As David Goggins said, reach into that mental cookie jar, and remind yourself you’re a badass.

  • Hey Katherine! I truly enjoyed your tips and some of them I had never heard before so that really great. I have been pretty unmotivated lately but I am so glad to have
watched thisss! Thank you so much, I’ll remember these tips!

  • Thanks. I took the time to write these down just in case I need them because I want to make this weekend productive and I’ve been sitting on my booty all day!

  • Ya know what motivates me? Just watching motivation videos xD not even doing what they say it just motivates me to watch motivation videos

  • 1.Set goals

2.Write down things you need to do in order to achieve your goals and keep track of it

    3.Make short term goals

4.Create a routine ao you can start studying easier

  • But what if you get overwhelmed by doing action and become defeated instead of motivated? I feel like this doesn’t work for people with anxiety or depression.

  • It’s really hard to even live like a student i worked the entire and i did got amazing graded but it’s now the end and in this ladt exams i fell tired to study to even workout and we have a 2 week test IN QUARANTINE and TODAY OS THE LAST DAY and im looking for vids like this i just cant do rhins anymore T^T

  • thank you so much this video has opened my mind. it has pushed me to be productive and use my skills effectively. thank you once again

  • I really needed this video. School starts on Monday (its Friday night rn). But there’s one problem…my parents and stress. So this semester I haven’t really got good grades cause of stress. Before a test even tho I’ll study, I’ll get nervous and my heart will start beating fast or I’ll even start crying. When the teacher will gives us the test, I’ll get even more nervous and I won’t be able to focus. It’s like my brain has stopped working (especially in math and physics). I explained it to my parents but they don’t believe me and they call me lazy. I also have a lot of issues and insecurities and I’m not in good mood most of the time. When I have a test or smth I don’t even touch my phone until I’m done. On the end of January, I’ll get my report card and my parents told me that if I won’t have good grades they’ll take it away. But I’m in a long distance relantioship (My parents don’t know it) and if they get my phone I won’t even be able to study. Also I forgot to mention good students. Some students in my class who get 20/20 get praised a lot by the teachers which makes me feel worthless and insecure. They talk about how clever they are and that only a few people are as intelligent as them. Please help me. ((Sorry if I made any mistakes))

  • Great content! Do you happen to have a channel with a version of your videos in Spanish? I would love to share with non-English speakers.

  • Please and please don’t give up. I just found your channel today. And I like American English more. But yours are so good too. You gave me positive energy and your acknowledge is so important for me. Good luck. Be happy:)

  • I have three tests next week. I have tried my best to assist to particular classes with an ematp (some sort of support teacher from school) but lately, my lack of willpower has gotten the best of me.
I know how hard I need to study, how my future depends on these tests (I am technically graduated but since I owe thesr three tests I cannot start college or even get a job) but this problem doesn’t allow me to study and focus even though I know I should do it.
I find myself sitting on my room, telling myself “i should study, I don’t want to fail” but I just can’t find the motivation to do it.
And it happens on every aspect of my life. Visiting friends, attending parties, working with my family (yes, I got offered a job with my father, but I just don’t want to work there, both because of my lack of willpower and because I don’t like it) and school. Also, I’m 22 years old, I also struggled so many years with school because of this lack of willpower as well.

I’ll try to take these tips into account.

  • I’m a kid and searched up for motivation because for the past few days or weeks I haven’t even brushed my teeth or showered because I’m so lazy!!! And I couldn’t even do my hair either T_T

  • Thank you very much for this, as you know a lot of kids get really bored in online schooling so thank you this really helped me and I will definitely get an A+ on my assessment

  • I needed this video!! I’m returning to my pre-med path as a postbacc! I’m documenting the journey on my channel.

I like the “no-nonsense” approach of this video as well! New subbie

  • As a former dental hygienist I can tell you from fact: Many many people never brush their teeth at all. They own the brush and tpaste but it hurts, so they don’t want to!

  • Please make a video on the daily routine!!
Also, morning routine, evening routine, weekend routine…any routine!!
Love your work ❤ Amazing content ❤

  • I know you are probably very busy however could you please tell me the name of the music you play at the begging of the video and as backing? Thanks, love your videos!

  • 1. Shower time gives me so much time with my mind and makes me think about death.
    2. LOL depression and anxiety.
    3. My house is a box.
    4. I expect to go to the gym for 0 minutes. I expect to study… I don’t study, I surf the internet.
    5. Haha that’s definitely not happening.
    6. That promotion. I’m most energised at 3am which is not great because I’m a human.
    7. I overthink everything no matter what time it is.
    8. My productive procrastinating list is “Scroll through memes”. That’s something very important I need to do all the time.
The moral of the story is don’t be me.

  • Good company automatically motivates a lot. When you see your friends being successful it motivates you to do something and achieve it too. Some people might say its jealousy although its not. Everyone should have a competitive spirit.

  • As an INFJ I sometimes actually do need motivation to brush my teeth, take a shower, or get dressed… we’re so stuck in our own heads sometimes it’s hard to do anything else but think.

  • I freaking love your videos!! I never feel like doing what I need to do, when I watch these it helps me shift my perspective for sure, and I thank you for that!!

  • Idk if you’ll see this, but I’ve been overwhelmed with my depression and anxiety for almost 2 weeks. It has made me not leave my bed, shower, perform any self care, or eat. And I absolutely needed you to know, this video, yourwords and tips, especially the first couple, has gotten me in the shower, food in my stomach, and an entire load of laundry in the washer. Thank you, so much.

  • Okay for all the TikTik addicts out there, here’s my tip!

So you’ve probably had days where you have just watched TikTok for hours and then felt like you haven’t done anything important. My tip for you is to have a limit of how many videos you can watch before you go and do the more important thing. I usually say to myself “okay you can watch 3 more TikTok but that’s it! After that, you really need to clean your room”. You guys should try it!

  • I can’t go to sleep until I workout. I will be 115lbs tomorrow/in the future. Okay April, get up from the bed and pick up your shoes off the floor. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, get up.

  • Jesus loves you regardless of your past, depression, sexual orientation, religious views and regrets. He will liberate you from the chains of your past. He accepts you as you without judging you.

  • This is so true! When I don’t wanna clean, for example, I just start doing something like washing the dishes. Before I even realize it I’m cleaning everything and it’s not hard.

  • Does this work if you’re taking a gap year and going to your first year of college during the next spring?:(. I really wanna go back to school & use my brain. I will be a college freshman. I just wanna make sure I stay motivated and that I’m prepared

  • I get motivation by taking away something from myself that is essential for my living until I draw or animate something. Usually the thing is food, sleep, or water. So I basically tell myself, “you cannot eat food until you draw something. I will wait until you draw something, who cares if you die of starvation”

  • I have an annual planner. I write down my daily weekly monthly and annual goals. I find it’s very comforting at the end of the year, when I look back and I see how much I had accomplished.

It helps to get the most beautiful planner you can afford! This ensures that you will enjoy writing and keeping up in your planner.

What also motivates me, is knowing that no one we’ll make my dreams a reality. there is no damn Prince Charming.

  • Thank you SO much for your amazing, educational, and inspiring videos. You have helped me to realize that I am not alone or less than anyone, that there is hope for this feeling of stagnancy currently in my life. Thank you ☺️

  • Watching Alux videos (am not trying to butter up) have been one of my best ways to stay motivated and focused. Others are spending time with successful people in my field, reading, exercising.

  • Hello Christian. That resource is a philosophical question because, in my point of view, if you don’t have anything you can be motivated by a desire to have, however if you have received something without effort to have it, it’ll be easier to lose it.
