  • I love your Chanel! Do you use a special label to print the name out for each basket and containers. Or do you hand write them on?

  • Hi Nikki, Target doesn’t have any more of these room essential, metal clip labels anymore, is there another way to get them??? Thank you!!!

  • This is amazing!! I have a narrower pantry that is the bane of my organizing existence! I use so many of the organizing things you have but haven’t labeled since I didn’t want to be that aggressive, but I should! Love the idea that it encourages others to use the system.

  • I’d love to see how you store your medicines and first aid for the kiddos. I have an over load! Please come and help me redo my entire house! I need help! I want to be just like you! I have contact dermatitis and have been making so many changes over the past year my skin is finally clearing up. I’ve been eating cleaner and it’s all been adding up and working! Thanks for your videos. A true life changer!

  • Love it…. I have a family of 5 and jars are not big enough so I have glass but my bigger containers are boa free… I wish I could minimize my footprint as well. I am a yogi ‍♀️

  • My husband would have issue with everything being this neat. “Eveything dont need to be put away” . Why cant he just let me put it away in peace . So we can have this neat place.

  • Love the organization ideas. I tried finding the 1.5 liter weck jars but they look like they don’t sell them any more. Do you have an update on any similar containers to these for large amounts of food?

  • This is my favorite channel. Brittany keeps her videos simple to the point classy and pretty. She has helped me organize my whole house. Words can not express my gratitude

  • im late but i really loveeeee your video. it have a lot of ideas of how to organize stuff and it is also short and simple

  • I’ve so enjoyed looking at your kitchen in the background. Its clean, organized and pleasant to the eye. I truly enjoy an organized pantry! The glass jars are a dream of mine. It’s hard to get such a cabinet with a mate who doesn’t keep to the plan, but I’m not giving up! When we move and have a larger pantry I’m going to incorporate some of these ideas. Thank you!!

  • Just found your videos and have now subscribed I have watched 3 so far. The fact that you are so efficient and your videos are to the point is a real plus. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Blessing and have a wonderful day.

  • I am new to your channel and have been binge watching. I wish I lived close to you for consultation. I am in WV near the Ohio river. Your information is well organized and the videos are detailed and stylish.

  • Please don’t change a thing on your video filming and editing style. I love the short intro and how satisfying and informational almost all of your videos are. You’re also keeping it very real and being realistic about the aspects of food and minimalistic lifestyle. That’s why I followed you immediately, because you’re so creative, calm, clear, trustworthy and real. I hope one day that I can have a huge organized kitchen like yours ❤️

  • Nikki I just want to say you changed my life!! Since I first saw your laundry organization video you inspired me to change mine and know im renovating my kitchen and i’ve been watching your videos again and again for organization tips!! Thank you so much!! Big hugs from Mexico!!

  • Thanks Brittany! Great ideas and you made the whole video relevant. Love the hilarious bit at the end…now I know how my pantry got messy in the first place. Subscribed.

  • @downshiftology great video! Thank you for sharing your organization skills. What size are the weck storage containers? Are the big ones 1 liter or more?

  • Hello, I know this video is 3 years old but I’ve just recently stumbled across it. I love your organizational pantry set up! I especially love the weck products. I was able to found all of the products from the links, however, I can’t seem to find the 908 cylindrical 1L jar set. Would you happen to know of another place were they can be purchased?

  • I love this video, Nikki! Some great idea that I going to incorporate in my pantry. Well, after my husband finishes expanding it, that is!

  • Love your videos. Very inspirational. Question: What do you do with the cereal boxes that have remaining cereal that does not fit in the jars?

  • Using jars for dried goods is a MUST! I’m finding that pantry bugs are ruthless little buggers and the best way to prevent them is to use air tight containers

  • I just discovered this channel! This lady is an absolute breath of fresh air. I’m addicted to her recipes and suggestions, organization skills, fresh cooking ideas! I feel like I’m rediscovering my kitchen again and honing my cooking skills, thanks to Lisa! Thank you!!!

  • Love your channel. I’m so encouraged to organize my pantry. It is overwhelming since it’s not organized. I’m happy I found your channel. Thank you for sharing.

  • Once you have used the week jars. How do you keep the seal tight? I used to have it. I got frustrated with the seal becoming loosing that I just through the weck jars out.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this video and the links to your jars! So organized, functional, and looks so nice. Will be incorporating some of your ideas. Recently came across your channel and subscribed. Am loving it!

  • Nikkie, you have inspired me to finish my pantry organization and be more diligent in the rest of my house as well! I cannot locate the wire baskets from Michael’s you used for canned foods and beverages. Do you have a link? Thanks.

  • I’ve been switching everything I have to glass jars as well. The article about all plastic being bad opened my eyes. Thanks for the education Lisa!

  • I’ve recently began studying the available information about science of diet from Dr Zsófia Clemens and Dr Csaba Tóth of the Paleomedicina hospital and website. Are you familiar? I ask, specifically, bc I’ve seen very negative thoughts about nightshades and cashews, both seen in this video. I’m struggling to overcome debilitating fibromyalgia. So far, I’m only eating animal products, but I may try to introduce plant items at some point. I’m just getting started ❤
    Thanks for sharing!!! xo

  • Appreciate Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you thought about Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (do a search on google)? It is a great one of a kind guide for decluttering your home without the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate after a lifetime of fighting got excellent success with it.

  • Аre you super rich? Your house is huge. And why don’t you pay someoone to do this for you? And where do you work so you can have all this?

  • OK, but… now that this is a few years old without touching a thing give us a photo of the pantry today to see if the organization holds up.
    Thx.

  • Motivating and gets my. Mind planning for hosting a family brunch. Your
So much like me. I have travel and sentiment mugs. Some that are from my grandma.
I have junk drawers more full and coupons I’m gonna use drawer!
    Motivating!

  • I am organizing my kitchen and came across your video. I enjoyed it and you have a lovely kitchen space. I wish I had pull out shelves and a pantry! I am not sure if this is a new house for you but I would HIGHLY recommend you cover the bottom of your shelves and drawers. DO NOT use contact paper. I just had to scrape all of mine off with a razor blade. I found a product at Bed Bath & Beyond that is clear plastic shelf cover. Its amazing! You just cut it to size and lay it in there. Its not permanently stuck so you can take it out and wipe it down periodically or if you have a leak like you did. Your drawer bottoms and shelving will stay looking new!!!

  • Kudos for the Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you researched Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (do a search on google)? It is a great one off product for decluttering your home without the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my cousin finally got cool results with it.

  • I would love to have 2 pantries. Well, I would love to have one. Didn’t think I would miss having one until we moved into a house without one. You did great.

  • Hi Belinda…I just found your videos. Love them so far!! Btw, you’re not hot and sweaty, but lovely and dewy lol. I look forward to more vids!

  • I purged my kitchen today and threw all the open food in glass containers and air tight bins that were in my cupboards and pantry. I also noticed all the junk food I had and came to a realization how unhealthy it is and how I have to stop buying crap!

  • My kitchen is small, but its amazing how much you can collect and things get so unorganized fast.

I think I do a pantry purged every couple of months just to make sure things are organized and I can use what I have. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I also like collecting tumblers and even though I did purge some of them months ago, it seems that more were added and I don’t remember when that happened. I do try to take them to work and use them there so that I am getting my money’s worth out of them. Love the vid. Now it makes me think of the things I have in my pantry and how I need to be start using them or getting them out of the house. Darn it. More cleaning.

  • Hi Just wanted to share with you that bread can be stored in freezer and used up without wasting. Also I keep 1 small drawer for miscellaneous so it controls that. I keep a coupon folder for coupons and paper folder for menus. Lastly I use my ovens to store some of my baking pans and I love my can organizer.

  • Great video. I love the clear bins that your supplements are in. My only concern is that you’re storing your onions and potatoes next to each other. The onions will make your potatoes go bad much faster. I would suggest moving one to a different location in the kitchen.

  • Omg I just did a vlog of major purging mom edition lol.. I have to clear out 2bedrooms..in less than a month because we move states again… I am in love with your kitchen I can’t wait till we move out and have my own space

  • This system looks so beautiful! You are so smart in how you organize and I’m so inspired by all of your videos that I’ve started organizing my kitchen. Thank you for sharing your gift of organization.

  • Brittany do you have a video on what to do with misc items and kid stuff lol. I’m stumped. It just piles accumulates and takes up space. I feel like I’m constantly donating. Maybe that’s a sign to just not buy stuff lol

  • I really like the metal nests you have in you kitchen. I’m looking for ways to keep the whole kitchen tidy and I really like that idea. Are they from IKEA?

  • Not sure if you have it this way on purpose, but the wallflower beside your Keurig is tipped to the side. If any of the oil spills out it will ruin the finish of your counter or anything it touches. I love your Disney mug collection and how you showcased them in the cabinet:).

  • I’m LOVING and LIVING for this cleaning series! It makes me so happy and relaxed too. Lol. It also motivates me to clean every time I watch some! Love this <3

  • First, you’re adorable. Second, I absolutely love decluttering vids. The Marie Kondo craze caught my attention and changed my life. I didn’t expect it to be so profound but it has been. Thanks for sharing

  • Yes I would love to see a house tour. I can imagine how organized and clean I will be. I still love ur kitchen videos.♥️❤

  • I have just discovered you and I’m so excited I have!
Love your videos and organization style. I love the wreck jars but do not own any at the moment. I know you put a link to Amazon for the cylinders jars but can you share the exact number jar you use, the larger ones with rice beans etc. I see the Weck website has a larger one Amazon does not have. Please help as I love the size you are using.
    Thank you so much!

  • I LOVE this series Belinda! Decluttering and organizing is one of my favorite things ever! Looking forward to your bathroom and linen closet declutter videos.

  • Boy I need to declutter my casa now. This so helps motivate me. Thanks for doing these kinds of videos. I was taking my break at work and had to watch.

  • I love how you look so good almost in each video me motivas a tratar de mantenerme arreglada anque sea un poco love your videos belinda yours such an inspiration

  • Found the best price for the Ball jars here!!
Thanks, Nikki! You are my home-organization guru!:)

  • So sad that I can’t find the chrome baskets with liners at Target anymore. I got them for my pantry and now I want them for my laundry room. I can’t find them anywhere. They are the best!!!

  • Elle, I know this is off-topic but your handwriting is so neat! I don’t know why, but it’s kind of beautiful. Maybe I overanalyze things lol but it is very neat!

  • I wish I would have seen this sooner. Went on the Target website and they don’t carry the wire baskets. Any suggestions on where I might be able to find them?

  • Not sure if this is feasible but if you got some removable wall paper you could stick it on that back wall of your pantry. With the back edges of the pantry unit it would give the wall paper a framed look. If you have an open pantry this might make that small space a bit more visually appealing. Just a thought I had. You have a beautiful kitchen! Can’t wait to update ours!

Edit: lol, just realized this video is 2 years old!

  • I just found this channel and I am loving it. It shows other moms with their imperfections, which gives me a big relief. I have two kids and sometimes when I look at other moms I feel bad for myself thinking: “How they manage to be so organized and clean all the time? Do they not sleep?”. Knowing that I am not the only one with messy shelves and closet makes me feel better. We live in a very small apartment so I always have problems with little space. These videos show that it is easy to be organized and they give me hope to become a better person, mom and wife. Thank you!

  • Love your vlogs thank you for motivating me to de clutter, may I suggest something for the pantry: how about you try putting all the food cans there as well as all of your backing stuff and don’t forget it’s best to have for example flour and sugar in labeled containers as all of your pastas instead of the boxes that way it looks a lot more neat and it lasts you a little bit longer TE AMO hermosa

  • You could use a little dremel to cut those shims in the back of your pantry to clean up the appearance, wouldn’t take but a few minutes!

  • Can you provide a brief tutorial on printing the labels for the Room Essentials labels please? I realize you did this a couple of years ago, but I would really appreciate a response. Thank you!

  • Looks so good Belinda.. one thing I would change is the canned food on the top shelf should switch with the baking stuff on the bottom shell

  • I love everything you’ve done so far!! Your so humble && logical about things not too pricey! Just great thanks it’s helped a lot!!

  • Very nice! I use old canning jars for storage. You know, the ones that you can’t use to can with anymore. The ones with the rubber ring? I like the way they look, and I love recycling old objects. I live in an old farmhouse, so these jars fit right in.:)

  • Great ideas! I like the drafting out what goes where on a whiteboard first part! I just moved and am totally lost with what should go where so this helped a lot!

  • don’t throw the food in the garbage donate it to homeless people in your city or the food bank if you have one in your country.otherwise its wasteful.

  • Eco-friendly mason jars would have been the better choice over the cheap plastic Target crap. You’re right, though. Plastic is forever! How could you not know that our landfills and oceans are overrun with the stuff? Obviously you didn’t think about how unsanitary it is to put those instructions inside containers containing the food, either.

  • Can you show me the all of your cabinets inside please… Iam just wondering what you guys keep in others cabinets if all your spices and etc are in this cupboard… Thank you

  • Love your hubby’s comments! LOL, so much like mine today after I showed him our pantry all organized!!! Also, would love to see how you would organize the fridge!

  • I never throw away the meal delivery kit recipes away, I figure its part of the value that you pay for. I have them in a little binder that I keep with other recipe books.

  • I never put food in my cabinets and I always line my cabinet shelves so if you have a regular food pantry maybe you could utilize that and just keep your cabinets for other items that are not food related.

  • We are in the process of painting our food pantry tomorrow. I had too much stuff in therr. So what wasnt opened I carried down stairs to our emergency food storage room.
Then I purchased containers. I seam to have problemwith mice. Dang cat go mice hunting.
I m also putting new shelve liners on.
Hope it will look much better.. then the same will do with all the cupboards. Down the road we hope we can get new kitchen cupboards, counter tops etc and kitchen paint.

  • I would recommend you store your coffee beans in a glass airtight jar as well, rather than in the bag. ☕️ From one coffee drinker to another!

  • Ahahahahahahahaha I love the ending sounds like my husband…. just subscribed to your channel you are a life saver! Thank you for making these videos but most of all for linking all the items you used. I don’t have too much time to shop so this is so helpful, thank so much! God bless you woman!

  • Great tips and tricks for pantry organization. I use a lot of the products that you do when I organize pantries for my clients. As a professional organizer I appreciate the great content and resources you have in this video! Thanks for sharing and nice job!

  • Beautiful! My husband and I are doing some renovations to our home and want to get it all organized. I love your style and will definitely use some of your techniques. Thank you for sharing!! Love the simplicity and neutral colors

  • Hey!! Thanks for the tips. I really like your videos. My concern in here is that I bought the Manson jars and got the stickers with the white marker from Amazon. Once you write something it is hard to remove the writing if you need to use the jar for something else? Any tips for that?

  • I am just finishing our kitchen and and I like many of your ideas,
    and

I am just finishing our kitchen and like many of your ideas, thanks.

  • Closet organization as I’m still trying to figure out how to organize my purses, hand bags/messanger bags along with blankets and my suitcase

  • Me and my sister are twin so she’s the messy one and I’m the really organized one… 5:52 is my twin whenever I organize anything and I’ll be like say whatever you want it’s organized now hehe

  • You have literally transformed my life. I love your channel, you have made cooking enjoyable for me, I have learned so much from you! Thanks for the content ❤️

  • I’m on YouTube for organizing my kitchen cabinets. Of course this is the first one I see. I’m organized but there has to be a better way. My kitchen cabinet space is limited. however I keep my crockpots and some things on the metal shelves in the garage. However, I can still utilize the baskets in the garage. I’m praying for a future home with a pantry such as this. We have a space under the stairs I’m using a Orgami short shelf with drawers where I keep canned goods and condiments as well as my cookbooks, foils etc. it fits perfect under the stirs in the closet. Question the recipes for your oatmeals, baked goods etc where did u put the recipes? Some things I don’t need a recipe but if put dry goods in the jars others may be here to need a recipe for example pancake mix.. Please advise! I just finished cooking dinner and just feel unorganized. Thanks in advance. Most of the things you’re using I already have on hand. I don’t buy a lot of food because it’s just my husband and I. However my son is home for bit and I need to regroup. There’s a lazy Susan but there’s a crack on one side and I don’t want to put anything heavy on it. The corner cabinet is spacious width wise and depth but at a loss as to what to put there. Only two of the cabinet shelves are adjustable for height. However, they are only about a foot and maybe foot n half wide. My plates won’t fit in those cabinets lol! Thanking you in advance! Please respond as soon as u can lol!

  • I want to move to glass containers but am concerned because I have small kids. Specifically my 2 year old likes to “help” and is really fast so if the jar were to fall…are these containers or others shatterproof? Is that a thing?

  • I am now motivated to organize and clear up my pantry. I do have a big pantry and we are a big family, we get big quantities of things. How do you suggest I organize? Where can I get the glass containers?
Thanks again! So glad I came across your videos. I am a fan instantly. Your speaking style is very clear! Love it!!

  • I tried putting things in jars but included cooking instructions if I wasn’t sure. You don’t have that. How do you know what to do with everything in the jars?

  • I would love for you to due my small pantry. I have tried several times to redo it And it is a no go. You have such great taste and everything is gorgeous!

  • It funny how they said there are the unopened snacks as there is a bag of opens chips but totally understand they probably do not want the kids into the chips

  • Hope you guys like my new kitchen and pantry! Let me know if you’d like to see a whole apartment tour in the future. And PS don’t forget that I always show behind-the-scenes of my recipes and videos on Instagram stories @downshiftology.:) x

  • I laughed and laughed at the lady’s comment -“I give up! Nikki I’m moving in!”….sooo true some days!!
Thank you Nikki for your generous sharing. Just looking through your videos inspires me and soothes me!
Love from Debby ( I’m one of your Australian fans! We are into our 4th day of winter here so it’s time for lighting the fire and indoor organising!)

  • Love your house and you have a great sense of style, wish I had a kitchen pantry like that, love how the drawers pull out, very handy!

  • Thank you for all your help. I am very grateful to some guidance with cleaning out my pantry. I didn’t know where to start and with your help, I am ready to begin!

  • Nikki, you are the epitome of neat, tidy, organised and elegant living. You topped those who have organisational shows and videos. Thanks and more tips.

  • Love your videos and information:) Just wondering what size weck jar did you use for your rice, flour, chick peas etc… Thanks so much!

  • I’m a 14 year old girl so I don’t have kids nor plans of kids, but I’m a babysitter and your channel is really useful for all sorts of things I love your videos!

  • I have some of the wick jars, but they are hard for my 89 year old dad to open and close them. Any suggestions for glass air/bug tight jars for older adults?

  • One thing I noticed Lisa is that you aren’t using shelf liners. Do you find there’s no need since you’re not a messy cook? Or do you wipe down your jars before storing them?

  • Where did you get the harry potter cauldron from? I love that you’re using it for your sugar. its so cute! this is motivating to do some decluttering myself:)

  • Well, 3 years late but I would love to see apartment tour and how you clean. What products you use. I just went on the beginning of the decluttering and reorganization journey. WOW! It was very hard but it does pay off. My kitchen is 90% done. I can tell already I do not waste as much and I actrually cook more and eat more home cooked food because I CAN SEE IT! It is also not difficult to cook because I have space now. Amazing right? I bought glass containers too. Some unfortunately the BP free plastic simply because glass is not easy to find and some cost way too much. I reuse a lot of glass now from products I buy.

  • Does anyone know who makes or where I can find the chrome bins with the liners? Trying to organize my son’s new apartment. My Michael’s does not have storage bins or maybe they just don’t carry them. Any help would be great.

  • Heyyy que chévere Belinda hoy estuve de limpieza y ahora que veo tu vídeo recuerdo se me olvidó limpiar las gavetas de la mesa en la cocina

  • I found this video very helpful. I am looking to reduce waste, have a more efficient kitchen for my plant based cooking needs (hard when my spouse is still attached to meat and junk 😉 ) Our work flow styles are similar, so this has been a very helpful addition to the many tips, tricks and yummy food ideas I get from you. Thank you!

  • Hahahahahahah!!!! My husband does the same! I organized nicely our kitchen and bathroom where you can see everything!! And he does the same thing, only for real!! Lol too funny!

  • Elle takes out a box* sipider: NOOOOO spider has babies and family inside* dad spider comes home* WHAT HAPPEND HERE WERES MY FAMILY? * Elle puts the stuff in box in a thingy *all the spiders stay in the box and go to the dump and live happily ever after

  • Ok maybe you can help me out with a quandary I’ve had for a while isn’t all broth bone broth? I mean I’ve been making broth since I was a little girl you boil bones and reduce them a while then add veg for soup. What is the hype over bone broth?

  • Your reorganization is so nice! I need to get my pantry in order. We removed the wired shelves when we moved in and never put them back up. My hubby threw them away because they were dirty SMH…we totally could have cleaned them and reused them. Now we need to build new shelving. This video motivated me! I’m ready to get our pantry together. TFS

  • The end made the whole video great. That’s totally how my boo would act. He would say what the flip is this I’m used to having things halfway open so me and the rodents can share and I like my chips a little stale but not completely on the stale side lol.

  • Nikki, Love your DIY shopping list. I have been thinking of getting a chalkboard but I LOVE this idea even more. And I bet it is a lot less expensive!

  • I really love your pantry. It looks very clean and organized. I needed some ideas to make my pantry look beautiful. You are awesome. Thank you

  • What are the sizes to the wire baskets and the canvas totes? I have been searching on target and several other places and can’t find them. My pantry is about the same size as yours. will have to find subsitute items.

  • I heard you can’t put onions and potatoes in the same container. Have you heard of this before, and why do you store them together? Is it because they don’t spoil quicker or draw moisture, for example? Can you please do a video on different types of myths as well as a video on food combinations that are healthier and not good together?

  • Nikki is that soothing, comforting voice that makes you WANT to start organizing. She’s like that best friend who wants to be there for you, every step of the way. Nikki, you make me a better person, girl.

  • Wow… that pantry looks amazing!!! And those jars are super cool
Unfortunately they are a bit out of my price range. I use Mason jars to store my dry goods and now I am wondering if they are air tight?

  • Soo nice but itsnot the real pantry of the real life of a family. One garlic bunch one oignon one potatoe!!!???please dears comments my comment

  • Would love to see an apartment tour! If it is anything like your kitchen I know I will love it! Thank you for the loads of information and inspiration you give to us in each of your videos!!

  • 2:02 watch out with that brand MaraNatha. I bought their almond butter for a while until I realized it had PALM OIL in it So not cool. I don’t buy anything from them anymore.
