    I ordered the recommended meal prep containers and heads up. They are fairly low quality and much more expensive compared to the ones at my local Sam’s Club. The plastic cut is sharp and jagged and comparatively they are hard to take on and off. I returned them.

  • How you prepare the green beans and peas was absolutely perfect. That’s the way you should have did the vegetables that you roasted. We got to learn to Value the natural Taste of vegetables. There’s nothing wrong with seasoning. But when we add sauces add sugar, fat, and calories. What you could have done was had maybe the sauce on the side then you can dip it. Because what you’re trying to do is get the taste in your mouth.

  • Microwaving with the spinach in the plastic will melt the plastic toxic content into the spinach. Well… Dr. Gundry, we don’t follow this part now…. it is ironical of all the things that you talk about chemicals. What about the plastic chemicals that would just emit from microwaving!!! I guess that you are almost quite correct but not 100%.

  • well our ancestors would eat breakfast but most times it was leftovers from the night before. Cold cooked meats and tea was the most often breakfasts

  • What I love about your channel is that anyone can find the ingredients you use and you don’t buy expensive things or things or make anything too complicated

  • As for leek, I recommend raw leek in a salad. Cut a large leek finely, sprinkle with salt and leave it for about 30 mins to soften. Then add a can of red beans and a can of pineapple chunks. With some salt, pepper and a bit of mayo it turns into a fantastic side dish. I also like to add some shredded cheese but as you don’t eat dairy, you can just skip it:) Enjoy!

  • I love these meal prep episodes!! Leek is a very popular vegetable in the polish cuisine, along with parsley root (amazing! sweet!) and cellery root these are the must-be ingredients for a good broth. There is a Polish chef, owner of many restaurants, who runs Polish edition of kitchen nightmares. I always laugh because she always puts whole vegetable to make the broth and doesn’t cut them stressing that it will make the broth better but she also puts the whole leek in there. I’m always like, OMG, gotta love this broth with some dirt from the unwashed leek.:D I’m so sorry for my bad English!

  • I put the veggies or green paper in some vinegar and water to wash it can kill bugs or anything on it and it don’t change the taste of it.

  • Pancakes are shown to be fillers, which is good if you’re very hungry in the morning. But they are also high in carbs, and ingesting too much carbs can create serious problems.

I have a question about the Full Recipe shown on Elephant Journal’s site. Is the recipe correct when they say to add fennel seeds and NOT need to brown the Quorn Grounds prior to adding them to the egg mixture? Their website says, “If you prefer to make vegetarian “green” muffins, substitute Quorn Grounds for the turkey sausage. There’s no need to fry them, so you can skip step #2 below. Instead, briefly defrost and add to the spinach-egg mixture with a teaspoon of fennel seeds.” I look forward to hearing from you! <3

  • We made the muffins this morning with some deviations from the recipe. None of our local stores have pasture-raised chicken or turkey. We went with Step 3 (on the Whole Foods scale) ground chicken breakfast sausage, 14 ounces (instead of 1 lb of turkey sausage as the recipe called for). Could not find 10-ounce bags of frozen spinach, we used a 12 ounce bag. We didn’t have dried minced onions or onion powder, so I minced a couple tablespoons of raw red onion. On all other ingredients we kept the quantities per the recipe. Although… Should it really be 2 “teaspoons” of Italian seasoning instead of tablespoons?

    Baked at 350, but it took closer to 40 minutes (because of moisture from the extra spinach?). Then we let the muffins cool for 5 minutes and dug in.

    His verdict: He’d make it again, but only if we cut the Italian seasoning in half.
    My verdict: DELICIOUS, and I love the seasoning. I ate one muffin and found it quite filling. Hope they freeze well, as I’ll be the only one eating this batch, ha.

    The only bummer for me is a lot of the muffin stayed behind when we peeled it out of the paper cup. Possible causes: too high a spinach-to-meat ratio, didn’t cool them long enough, cook them long enough? Anyone else had that issue?

  • Im all for this recipe theres nothing wrong with it no matter what ppl say there is no perfect way to do anything just eat good foods! The one thing im confused on is you always refer to our ancestors and I’m pretty sure our ancestors were not looking to eat meatless grounds…they straight up just hunted there food and ate meat. Turkey meat would be okay in this I would imagine. Although I do love that quoern it is actually really good

  • Great make ahead healthy meal. As I hate washing dishes I would be inclined to divide the sausage up into the muffin cups then topping up with egg mix. Way less cleanup. Easier to thaw spinach in bowl of warm water or take out and leave in fridge overnight. Thanks for sharing the initial concept, much appreciated.

  • Just a suggestion: since you meal prep for almost all your meals, you can consider getting reusable containers and lead by example to lessen the burden on mother nature:)

  • I like Dr Gundry but not the recipe.
    Quorn can cause serious allergic reactions.
    Has a lot of fat ans salt.
    They say that the product is “mushroom protein” or “mushroom in origin” but is made from mold that is grown in liquid solution in large tanks.
    Cooking with plastic in the microwave is a no no. So many eggs!!
    X breaksfast i just drink decaf coffee, tea or veg juice with rice crackers.

  • Oxalate muffins…go carnivore and you don’t have to worry about lectins, oxalates and the 50 other anti-nutrients in plant foods.

  • This Diet has literally saved my life. I wont go into details but anyone reading this know there is a healthier, livelier and sounder you under all that fat and pain.You will never know how bad you felt until you feel so good. It is like you are like a precognitive machine now, everything starts working out in life, people treat you differently. Just work through the pain and misery, fear is the only thing that gets smaller the closer you get to it. Trust the plan.

  • In 35yrs I have never and will never cook, or defrost plastics in the microwave. The plastic is being melted into your food. If the plastic says microwave safe, it’s not. Microwave safe means the plastic won’t melt, doesn’t mean plastics not going into food. Use glass only.

  • We bought and read Dr. Gundry’s books and we started the Plant Paradox Program to the letter. Before that, we were on a 2 month clean keto, meaning moderate protein and only healthy fats. We had entered ketosis on day 3 of keto and we were never out, reaching ketosis levels of 3-4 on some days and never less than 1. My husband lost 15 lbs, I lost 9 and both my teenage children were loosing weight too, even though they were consuming higher carbs, example milk in moderation. We loved the new diet because introducing resistant starches made our restrictive keto more enjoyable. We introduced green plantains, cassava and other RS from your list in moderation since we were sceptical. As pe your recommendations we increased a lot our fat intake, eg. spoons of olive oil daily. We use the 14 day glucose sensors and the ketosis meter. During your 3 day fasting we lost 3-4 lbs and had the highest ketosis level ever, however, as soon as the phase 2 started with its resistant starches, we started to reduce ketones levels, significantly increase glucose levels and put on back the weight. The foods are obviously more delicious, but within 2 days we were out of ketosis for the first time in 2 months since we started Keto. We are very disappointed indeed. A man, a woman, a teenage girl and a teenage boy, that’s a pretty varied group to test the program! Those muffins he just made are keto by the way! Go and add cassava flour for instance, that’s the difference between keto and plant paradox.

  • Hi Dr Gundry, I can’t believe you’ve just cooked spinach in a PLASTIC bag in the Microwave, that will fill the food with harmful chemicals. Great recipe but dreadful method with the spinach. You need to research the chemicals in plastic, we’ve been warned not to drink from plastic water bottles from a hot car!!! What’s the difference! Love your work though!

  • I’ll say no to this. No no no. Why? I’m postulating that plants are simply more toxic. They likely don’t only have lectins as their defense mechanism, they have plenty more such as oxalates etc. And Dr. Gundry for reasons I do not know seem to just not address this. Why in the world would I juice out a packaged food for muffins with nutrient quality I can not tell? I’ll rather have the 10 eggs scrambled in pure lard or grass fed butter for late breakfast only than this. This appears to be a sure way to just have early onset gray hair. Foods don’t have to look like their commercialized equivalents. U can eat eggs for dinner if that works for u as long as ur overall energy and nutrient intake matches ur body weight or desired body weight. My opinion only.

  • I have a diet plan that will help everyone, how about eating what you grew up on, your body knows how to deal with foods now the real problem with foods and how they are messing with are foods… (The mother plant)..The DNA of the planets… GMOs and processed foods are big problems… The fab diets and doctor who think they know everyone’s problem, we are all different and our body’s reaction to certain foods are all going to be different…. we all aren’t going to be a size 4… I feel some of these doctors are out to sell books…or some other medicines or supplements they are selling…or they wanta be famous…I want to see one doctor who took their oath seriously…its all money makers and Drug dealers to me… sorry Steven, but I’m real about how i feel…. Hes being practical because most ppl will use a microwave they do have steamable veggies in case none of you knew that.
