  • Can you make a video of your yoga session or a beginner session. I always enjoy when you give examples and instructions they are always well delivered

  • As a diabetic I say yoga isn’t that effective. HIIT helps my blood levels but I still practise yoga. I’d look withered out just doing loads of HIIT all the time.

  • you have avery poor knowledge of gym and fitness. All elite sports persons are also a product of mindful hard work and dedication, self discipline and strong belief system. You seem to have failed in fitness took yoga and not a true disciple of Sri Gurudev. I am sure

  • So…
Yoga (here) is basically yoga-asanas and probably pranayama, which, btw, is only a part of yoga…and not YOGA.
Either do yogasanas and expect mental well-being…which btw may take a “Long” time…or just hit the gym…for physical fitness…and do meditation DAILY for 10-15 mins. For mental well-being.
Our Swamiji ( Om Swami, An Enlightened monk ) prefers the latter.

  • I have always been interested in yoga for decades before it was popular in the west ( my western country) and found this video so incredibly helpful! Thank you!!!

  • both have its place…doing yoga will not give you the strength to pull your bodyweight of the floor and strong lower body..at the same time an overly muscular body will have zero flexibility…so it is best to incorporate both..

  • Dear Sirs, Please advice me.
My only purpose is to flattening stomach. May be without weight loss. Its 70kg with 5’10 height.
Am doing 40 minutes exercise since last 4 months thru app, but result is no difference at all. Whenever tried lil yoga, it gives me leg muscle pain above knee for couple of days.

  • Yogathe whole focus is a calm mind and a good body is a byproduct.
Holistic, awareness of breathing, mind. Gentle.

Gymnothing to do with mind. Only focus beautiful body.
Wear and tear. Muscle development. Feels tired at the end.

If practiced together, they can help each other.

  • Yoga is the best thing I have met ever. 3 years ago I traveled north India. There is a place called Rishkeshi, the Hindu holistic city and also the capital city of yoga. I totally fell in love with yoga and this beautiful ,blissful cith, which makes me came back to India every year. I and yoga

  • Thank you so much for this video! It’s very helpful. I’m interestes in all aspects of yoga, not just physical part of it. That’s exectly the answer I’ve been seeking.

  • I do both, I started doing both last 2 monthsI am a skinny legend and I HAD TO GET MUSCLES.i started eating more fruit and drank more water, which also helped with my acne, I feel like a better person now as I am starting to approve. Gym helped with my muscles and yoga helped me mentally.

  • Can children start yoga even if they are quite weak and unfit? To try get stronger and grow a more peaceful mindset to cope with modern society? Because I want to start but my core is weak and I am very inflexible and also have been struggling with a bit of an eating disorder but I want to get into healthy exercise but not in a muscly, hectic, gym-ish kind of way, I just want to have t as a peaceful way to strengthen and calm my body and keep hot as a bit of a coping mechanism in this crazy world today.

  • I like his philosophy. I use to enjoy exercise. One day for some reason I did yoga. After that I didn’t enjoy exercise. I felt jarred. I’m diabetic I use to exercise loved it. But to me it was crazy energy. I have found time and time again. Because I meditate. If I don’t do a spiritual exercise. I don’t feel happy.

  • Sir…. please suggest a routine for doing both yoga and workout…and how long I have to do both and what should be the interval between both.

  • There is no difference in yoga and zym. One is free weight, another is with weights. One is less energy intensive, another is more.
Yoga is less impactful, zym is more impactful.

  • You should not compare both. Because both are important.
They do have different concepts but the science behind both is correct.
If you don’t know detail about anything so please don’t say which one is better.
Firstly do research and then only you will come to know that both are equally important.

  • I do agree that both are necessary. Variety is the key to get the best physical and psychological benefits, as no practice is complete. They complement one another. Yoga offers flexibility, balance, etc. but don’t speed up metabolism Something very necessary in the age of obesity. Nether has a major impact in cardiovascular conditioning….so I say, do yoga, lift some weights and play some tennis or any sport…That will make it.

  • Yoga is a stretching exercise. Stretching is a part of gymming. Gymming 10/10
    Yoga 6/10.
Everyone who does serious gymming, is doing stretching after weight training which is necessary. Indirectly yoga is just a part of gymming.

  • Gym and yoga, both can benefit you in a number of ways. Visit this article to understand which will suit you better. For example: if you want to lose weight, you must think the gym is the best choice, but it’s not like that, read on find out how should you proceed.

  • Your sense about gym is bodybuilding. All ppl are not going gym to participate in a contest. It has some spiritual well being as well. U say gym ppl are not aware? They lift tons of weight without awareness? Any fitness work you do has some mental benefit I don’t compare anything.

  • Nice video Sir, please try to promote your channel globally. Knowledge of Gurus like you should be explored to the world properly. Thanks for the video and all the best.

  • I wish. But honestly no. Im guessing ur going somewhere with this. Im under the understanding that with the third eye completely activated we can explore our inner solar system. Is that where u were headed? See i am a newlywed and started my spiritual journey a short time after. I love every second of it but wish i came into the journey when i had a little more freedom. I really wanted and still would like to live and learn with the masters similar to what you and your wife are doing. We have a small child and would make things slightly more complicated. I love them very much but feel the need to change the world. And in order to fix the world i gotta master myself first of course. It has completely taken hold of my whole being. Ive gone thru drug addiction to being abused.ive gone thru a complete overhaul and transformation of every part of me. And now im being strongly drawn to self mastery so i can go forth and find my like minded family and change this world. If i cant come to india with my family, i might just go myself and bring the wisdom back to the states where it is desperately needed!! I love them all but understand alot of people are being misled. I love u brother and all of the wonderful beings communicating from india spreading the wisdom. Like you and your wife so wholeheartedly agree upon is using our technology to better this world. I agree. Much love from the states. Thank u for ur reply. Would also like for u to alloborate your reply please. I can see movement in my spiritual eye. Colors, shapes, sometimes faces, the star. But not clearly. Im 99% raw vegan for atleast 6 months. Clean water. No flouride. Not doing this for myself tho. But for the world. The macro. Again much love. Namaste best wishes to all you spreading love. Maybe see you in India soon brother. But until then I’ll see u on this tiny screen lol.

  • sir one question, i have been in art of living classes, like you distinguished both yoga and gym Yoga says don’t drink coffee or eat non veg but gym says yes you have to follow both

I m confused i do kriya in morning but also wanted to do gym just to look good

please comment how i can handle both

    Looking forward for your response

  • Hi! Thank you so much for this video! So incredibly informative especially when I’m someone who really enjoys discovering and understanding origins! I’m curious how the original yoga is spelt? I couldn’t quite seem to hear it…:)

  • Yog is best for indians. As per our environmental yog. Funking gym is invented in forein countrys. From thousands of years yog is on our lifes. Dont follow foreign culture.

  • gym has given me hernia and slip disc and problem in digestive due to eating non veg every day..so guys be smart take care of your intestine also

  • i disagree with point 2 raised. gym also hell lot of awareness of breathing process and muscle u r working on. if u r not aware of the system u r injuring urself as in yoga

  • Yoga is fantastic, but I fear a lot of people use it for the wrong reasons. Most of my female friends do Yoga to “keep fit” as they put it, which basically means “Keep thin”. They see hard cardio or weight training as being “guys’ exercise” and so are very reluctant to even give it a try, even though it would be far more effective for what they want. There’s a definite gender bias when it comes to exercises, with some being seen as more feminine and some more masculine. Women are reluctant to go to classes that may be full of men, and men are reluctant to go to classes that may be full of women (like Yoga). It’s silly. Take it all!

  • Hey brother. Been practicing Kriya yoga now for about 6 months now. I bought an awesome book called ” kriya yoga secrets revealed”. Very informative book. Also have been practicing Kundalini yoga for bout 8 months. Religiously. I love it. My third eye is opening and my kundalini is getting very noticeable.vibrating on a more pronounced level. I am my own guru. Self taught. With a little help of course from research. But was wondering how you feel about Kriya yoga.

  • the best sentence i have ever seen
a strong mind can definately carry a weak body
but a weak mind cannot even carry a strong body!!!

  • Your science is fucked up and your squat form gave me cancer, you are weak. We MMA fighters do strength training and combat at the same time. Yoga is kind of bullshittery according to modern science.

  • Kundalini Yoga is best for everybody cause its the Mother of All Yoga! Funny thing is I wrote this prior sentence before I heard you say anything at all -oops 😉 It is such a shame that too many are teaching watered down yoga thats a shame! Yogo Bhajan is such a Saint to do this for our modern life
