Early in the morning if you want to use your newly born neurons for learning something. Aerobic exercise, raises your heart rate, but not too much. Not maximum.
I think it would be really beneficial to have more accurate studies on this. This knowledge could benefit society a lot if understood. Most studies of these go on for 2 weeks at a time with 5 mins of training per session. When you go to the gym, it takes months. One way to see evidence these could work is to measure the iq difference of a person before and after college vs the before and after iq of someone who didn’t go to college. If true, I don’t see why these games wouldn’t work, given they simulate the processing powers of cognitive functions.
People tend to forget one if the main functions of the brain to to commend muscles. Obviously the more you exercise, the more complicated exercises and muscles connection you create definitely would have a direct positive impact on your brain, hence it has to create new cells to actually commend those movements. Don’t be deceived by uncertain science. If you are playing a game that really challenges your brain, and do it overtime, you will get better and better in that specific area. If the game challenges your to do fast calculations, eventually you will be able to calculate faster in real life, so yes, you can transfer your abilities from the game to real life. It’s a very logical and provable conclusion that I have proved myself.

I would have to know how old these test subjects are, and how long they trained a day. Also, 2 weeks is no where near enough time to get any results. You don’t go to the gym for two weeks and gain muscle. A typical semester in school takes 4 months. If there is a difference in iq over that span of people that go to school over time, vs those that dont, then I don’t see why the games won’t help. You would need 15-30 mins of practice a day though… not a measly 5.
After their annoying ads I decided to give it a chance to Elevate and I paid the Pro version for the astronomical amount of 19 USD per year. And my conclusion was… the app is actually pretty cool. Games are not going be make you Einstein but they’re pretty good to keep you active. The calculation games are really useful. What I find interesting is that most people hate brain games, and consider any type of development as a waste of time.

It`s been fourteen days since I started out playing this brain training game “nonu amazing only” (Google it) and I am amazed how it helped me focus well in other circumstances! This is exciting, challenging but not annoying. I have not paid anything to be able to play it.
The exception to this is a company called LearningRx. At the time of posting this, they have dozens and dozens of peer-reviews articles, randomized control trials, and any other kind of research you could possibly want supporting their claims of raising IQ. I believe the current claim is that on average, IQ is raised by 15 points through a program. Their website is http://www.learningrx.com, and all their research is clearly posted there.
If the adult brain wasn’t flexible I’d essentially be a high functioning vegetable. A car wreck split my skull and scrambled my brain. I had to relearn how to learn and had to figure out ways to get through mental pathways that were either broken or heavily mired in debris. If it was broken I hit a brick wall trying to think of something, I would know it existed, and that it correlated to other things in my brain but I could not get to it unless I figured out a way to get someone else to say it, then I’d have to concentrate to make sure the new pathway stayed. For example the concept of February, I could not get to it no matter how I tried, I finally got my father to say it by me prompting him with “after January”. I had to relearn how to learn and had to figure out ways to get through mental pathways that were either broken or heavily mired in debris. If it was broken I hit a brick wall trying to think of something, I would know it existed, and that it correlated to other things in my brain but I could not get to it unless I figured out a way to get someone else to say it, then I’d have to concentrate to make sure the new pathway stayed. For example the concept of February, I could not get to it no matter how I tried, I finally got my father to say it by me prompting him with “after January”. If the pathway was mired with debris it became like trying to walk while up to your neck in tar, sure it was possible and I could feel I was making slow progress, but it was usually easier and faster to just go around, in other words find a different correlation to the thing I was attempting to think of. For example eggs for breakfast, in trying to think of it as food I got mired down so I went around by instead thinking where baby chickens come from that can be turned in to breakfast. Both examples were real common place things I had to reestablish in my brain. Oh, and there are random gaps in my memories now too, like information I have zero recollection of ever happening, even after someone proves it did happen. So yeah thank God for adult brain flexibility.
