Shutting off your faucets is similar to stopping what you’re doing to find seclusion and create a safe space for yourself. It sounds simple, but most of us can’t find time in the day to go to the bathroom, let alone to be alone and at peace. This means accepting your energy as a precious gift. 2.

Heating & CoolingTHE BEST Way To Conserve Energy! (50% of your Energy Bill) Let’s take up heating & cooling next. This is a big one as it makes up about 50% of your typical electricity bill each month (according to Energy Star). Now you’ve probably noticed that your electricity bill goes up during the winter and during the summer.

Running your shower for just 5 minutes is the energy equivalent of leaving a light on for 14 straight hours. Skip the dishwasher built-in dry option and simply air dry your dishes. Doing this.

Minimize leaning over to put on clothes and shoes. Bring your foot to your knee to apply socks and shoes. Fasten bra in front then turn to back. Modify your home to maximize efficient energy use.

For example, place chairs strategically to allow for rest stops — for instance, along a long hallway. Wear comfortable shoes and low-heeled, slip on shoes. How to Make Your Home More Energy Efficient Change your light bulbs to LEDs. Wash your clothes in cold water if possible.

Air seal your home. Sealing cracks, gaps and leaks and adding insulation can save up to 10% on home heating and cooling Clean or replace all filters in your home regularly. Energy conservation is the act of saving energy by reducing a service.

In other words, to conserve energy, you need to cut back on your usage. Examples include driving your car fewer miles per. Saving energy is easy and effortless. A few simple steps and conscious choices can help save the planet and also save on your power bills!

Conserving energy is not a choice; it’s a necessity! Switch off the lights when you leave a room. Unplugging devices when they’re not in use is a simple way to cut your energy costs. ISTOCKPHOTO/TACOJIM These days, it’s more of a win-win than ever to save on energy.

Using less hot water on a daily basis is an important way to conserve energy. Start these new hot water-saving habits: Wash your clothes with cold water. Unless you’re doing a load of clothes that is caked in dirt, it’s not necessary to use hot water to wash them; in fact, hot water wears your clothes out much faster. Take showers instead of baths.

  • Yeah! While we are alive energy is relatively cheap, and can be burned at will to power whatever you might need. Good times in that aspect. I know I enjoy it myself. That said…
Thinking many generations out. I wonder if it will be like today? I think that even the fields we have put drilling moratoriums on will eventually have to be pumped out. I remember my dad trying to explain to me how much oil there was. This was back in the 70’s when cars were lined up at the pumps. He described the supply as literal oceans of oil under the earth’s crust. I have no doubt there is more than we currently know about.
Then another thought creeps in that the future will have to contend with. Air quality. Ever seen a dark plume from a smokestack? I’m sure you have. I think the exhaust pipe on my truck, although it’s output is mostly invisible, is a tiny version of that. How many vehicles at any given time are running? What would be the collective size of all those exhaust pipes? would it be something you could see from space? I wonder if anyone has calculated an estimate of that?

Then another thought comes in, if we eventually burn a reservoir of oil the size of an ocean, nothing else will matter at that point. The atmosphere will be deadly.

Time to fire up my “electric” guitar.

  • Hey my friends and I made a PSA about the importance of energy conservation for a competition. The video is targeted towards kids and it talks about vampire energy. It would be very beneficial if you could vote for our video to help us out in the competition as well as getting the message across. http://bit.ly/1rIJik4

  • Do you think that it is true that one of these days that electricity is going to run out? I have heard people say we should save energy but it is hard to believe that we could ever run out of electricity. I don’t think that we will run out. I leave all of my lights, tv, radio, and computer on from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep.

  • I really like your video sir your way of teaching is very very different from other teachers or other teaching youtubers first video I have seen your that is types of energy or that was shared through my class teacher and that time I know that you are to innovating teacher I like your teaching sir your teaching please keep it up and teach like this only to us thank you sir

Rule of Jim Rohn: “You are the average of the five people you spent the most time with”

In the last days I spent much time with my cat.
She is a very positive, outgoing, friendly and natural personality. So I hope she is influencing me much!………………………………..

I think you should probably add to the most influential persons these persons you engage very much in other ways by reading their books or practicing their advices or exercises or something else.

They can have much more influence than everyday persons you meet.
They can be living or “departed”.

  • We waste far too much energy, a good example is the vacuum cleaner.
Air Recycling Technology if used in Vacuum Cleaners could actually save each year in the UK, an amount of energy equal to that generated by 800 Medium sized wind generators.
That is 1.5 TWh of electricity worth £225,000,000 and 650,000 Tonnes of CO2, Emissions. And a saving of more than 25 Twh of electricity annually is possible in the EU. Equal to £3.25 billion and 13.5 million tonnes of CO2.Emissions.

  • Hello guys..

Pls watch our videofor Switch4tomorrow challenge that had been shortlisted and uploaded to youtube.

Pls likethe video in the link below.

  • with just a little bit of time everyday and try to do things in this video.. you’ll not just saving your self from high electric bill but also your saving the environment… think about it and start saving…

  • Because in any energy transformation there are losses. We also can’t use low quality energy as easily as high quality energy. We have limited amounts of high quality energy. If we reduce the energy we use, either by not using energy consuming devices or using more efficient ones then we save money, and sources of high quality energy for later.

  • @uo8am well maybe it’s because yure religious lmfao, i’m kidding but it’s funny to find a religious person who cares about nature…well my family doesn’t seem to..much at all, especially 2 people who are close relation but i digress, well i guess they changed it because my comment got posted instantly, now i’m done making an ass of myself so thanks for reading this, i love yuu….kinda…well i hate yuu too but that’s just how i am.

  • Nuclear energy encompasses both fission & fussion. We have roughly enough fission material for the next 80 years with the current amount of reactors. fussion is a whole other story and still in the works. There is enough fussion material for the next several millenias, the energy is also completely clean. So to just wave off nuclear energy in general is plain ignorance.

Apart from that fact, nice video, storytelling and grafics!

  • Most energy is wasted in supermarkets with heaters by the door and open fridge freezers and escalators continuously running and millions of lights.

  • and we also pioneered most of the technological, medical, and political advancements that aussies like you enjoy today. so how bout losing the typical antiamerican bullshit and focus on how fucked up your OWN country is.

  • @arcart0 What does air recycling do on a vacuum cleaner? Does it use the already moving air to generate more suction for less power?

  • What good does the money do if there is no nature to enjoy and survive on?? Read a book? How about THE book, Gen 1;11, “On the third day, God created all green seed bearing plants for mans consumption, and saw that it was good.” Time to let our farmers grow hemp. Without utilizing what is here, we will never stand a chance to make a change.

  • I wonder if they ignore the fact that wind turbines are 4% of the energy of the United States and kill 350,000 a year along with bats or the fact that the vast array of solar panels in the Mojave Desert fry birds in flight

  • Why would you want to save energy? (other than for money) You can’t run out of energy so… It is 100% impossible to run out of energy. So what’s the point? Other than the fact that we are so outdated that we still use coal etc and not nuclear energy so it is hurting our O3 later.

  • Hello sir
Could we say that at the top of the loop, the centrifugal force (mv^2/R), is >= to the force of gravity mg
    So
    mv^2/R = mg
    V = sqrt(gR)?
    Thanks

  • Sometimes telling family and co-workers exactly how you feel is a great stress reliever. Lol. I’ve been using it more and more and it feels great, the world doesn’t end, and everyone comes to work the next day, say more respectful. I’m around people all the time, people of all types, who will push their way on you constantly until you get in their face and stand your ground. They’re that stupid, immature, arrogant and rude.

  • Here let me save you some energy and 3:40 minutes of your life with this one tip, don’t watch this video. You learn absolutely nothing from this video. They want you to resort back to the renaissance era and carpool in cattle cars.

Get rid of your big house with the energy wasteful duct work leaks heat, and get rid of your heat pump. And get yourself a small house that doesnt need duct work, and you wont need a heat pump that would never show a cost benefit in a small house. So you have saved money on insurance, taxes, repairs, duct work, and a heat pump. Houses used to be an investment.  Now home ownership is a loser. Get yourself a shack, and instead of paying interest. With the money you save, bank it and gain interest.

  • Hey everyone,

I am currently doing a university project on how i can use design and digital services to help families save energy in their homes but most importantly save money off their utility bill because of it. If you could take a minute to fill my survey out i’d be so appreciative. Thank you!:)

    http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/H8WNDQM

  • That’s a great shot in the front. I agree that they should be farther from homes. But home wind turbines don’t make noise like this and don’t cast shadows so far. Home wind and solar electric systems don’t cause all the problems that these large turbines do. Besides, what economic benefit is it to buy your wind and solar power from a utility. There are great systems for home use. We have installed these systems all over the US, Canada and Europe. Home Wind/Solar is here now.

  • ok so has anybody took the time to look at street lights they have to be at least 250-500w and there on from the time it gets dark to it starts to get light and the question is why our cars have headlights after 12:00 they should go to half power or just off

  • Everyone’s got a complaint! Would you rather hear a noise and enjoy the strobe light effect or be ingesting radioactive particles after a nuclear meltdown?

  • If there is a height from ground then there is a potential energy but always the car must have potential energy because it always has a distance from the crust of earth pls clear my doubt sir

  • I think that thing about feeling heat when you clap is exagerated. Based on some basic calculations you would only create about 10 joules of energy total per clap, and a lot of that is sound so the heat change would be like 0.1C. Also if I slowly put my hands together it still feels just as warm.

  • Last month my utility bill was $300. It seemed ridiculous to me that it would reach this high. Something was needed. With the generating power method “boma fetching unique” (Google it), my electricity bill is now decreased by roughly 60% since I was able to produce power, as well. And that`s not just temporarily-that`s forever.
