  • Nice yoga, but it was hard to follow without the voice telling you and instead you have to check continuously the video, when to switch:(

  • Don’t we supposed to do both side for the side plank and the revolve side pose. Does it mean the other side we hVe to count ot ourselves????

  • I like where we, yes we are going, with all the strength building,….to get inverted ‍♀️. I think I am ready for handstands practise, by myself.
Anyhoo, thank you for your company on this beautiful ☀️Friday. Wishing you a lovely day ✨

  • My chiropractor suggested I find this YouTube channel and I’m so happy she did. I’ve even recommended this particular video back to her, as she hadn’t heard of it but has a lot of clients who could benefit from a desk break (Also the Office Break yoga is great!) So pleased to know about this option!

  • I recently had an intense meniscus repair surgery on my right knee which has left me seated or lying down for 3 weeks straight followed by about 4 more months of recovery. Man I was spinning so much in frustration for not being able to move. I am a dancer, I train weights, and I LOVEEEE yoga. Before this class, I was so angry and irritated. Now, I am more neutral. I feel like I can make better decisions from this space. Thank you!

  • This is literally getting me through lockdown working from home! Always a good reminder to move your body and get energised for the whole day (even in break times haha) thank you!!

  • Loved this! Kinda weird to not have you talking at first, since that’s what I’m used to from your other videos that I’ve seen. Definitely worked though, and I can see the benefit for office situations! Thanks for making this! <3

  • Definitely will be using this when I’m forced back in the office. For now I am keeping up the full videos in yoga camp. Love this idea as I get rooted to my chair and forget to move x I love you Adrienne

  • Drinking water Seriously the best thing ever, I used to drink a gallon a day… This inspired me to start drinking way more! Thank you and good job girl!

  • For everyone asking about the food Sadguru is eating
I don’t know what exactly it is but I am sure of one thing
*It consists of all the 6 flavours
According to Ayurveda a complete diet has food of all 6 flavours (small amount of each flavour) and you will still not feel hungry or over eat
    Also
    Eat food slowly
Eat only the amount that can fit in both your hands
Watch Fit Tuber’s video he will tell better about Ayurveda than me

  • I hate how she has to stress she didn’t think she was fat, because people would come to the comments and try to ridicule her for feeling that way. If you’re somebody who criticizes anyone striving to become their best self, you’re a fool.

  • Thank you, Allie! I have practiced yoga for 7 years and you still managed to introduce me to something new. I have never done a whole yoga class with blocks before. Furthermore, I really injoy the pace and the challenges your class has and you are definitely my favourite youtube yoga teacher right now!

  • Brilliant class! Blocks were a total game changer for me. Especially in the Warrior 3/kundalini descent portion. Thanks for another amazing video!!! Love seeing outtakes again too. 😉

  • Love this! Do you have a version of this giving the instructions verbally? I have been doing yoga breaks with my students during online teaching and they do better with verbal instructions (reading levels low).

  • Most yoga videos instructionals are not for the average person. For example, Kino MacGregor videos. She has a awesome practice, but you have would have to be a contortionist to bend like that.

Most videos will not tell you that it is ok your heels don’t touch the floor in Downward Dog.. And they might never touch ( due to the way your body is) and that is perfectly okay..
It took me years to figure that out.. I kept thinking I was doing it wrong or that something was wrong with my body.

By filming a complete video instructional using blocks in every pose, you have shown how yoga can be practiced by everyone!

Most people shy away because they think you have to be extremely flexible or fit to practice

    Thank you!!!

  • Workout at 4:53

    10-12 reps / 3 sets
    Leg press
    Bar squat

    Leg raises

  • Amazing class, Allie. Thank you for sharing your guidance and this beautiful place with us. I appreciate your time and effort. What a gift you give us every time!

  • Am working from home during the COVID quarantine and found myself suffering with new aches and pains due to lack of proper desk/chair. This short practicie has really helped re-balance my body again, and has significantly reduced my discomfort

  • Always good to rediscover some Adriene videos, particularly when working from home during Easter! Thank you, my lovely. Much love xxx

  • My go-to working at home vid! Even though there’s no-one here to be embarrassed by/to, I kinda like the quietness so I can just slip into and out of the routine without breaking my train of thought (I’m a writer), thanks Adriene! <3

  • Ok I gained a ton of weight and it becomes a major problem in my life now. I decided to take the leap and change my life for the better cause why live in regret?

  • Hey this is lovely with so many people working from home now can you do some more like this or short 10-15 mins videos to get us to have a break whilst at home?
    namaste

  • Thank-you for making this. Just one question: What do I do when I can’t get my ankle over the opposite knee? I’m 63 years old now, and couldn’t cross my legs even in Kindergarten! LOL

  • Hi! I’m a huge fan, sitting on my office desk in South-east of Norway 😉 Love this video, like many others but I do miss an audio cue when to shift positions! Namaste, thanx:)

  • A little does indeed go along way especially when your body is having to learn how to cope with the sudden large amount of sittings you’re doing at your new office job. I’m a little sad my chair does not accommodate the backbend. That would have felt amazing.

  • Great Video! Next time please speak in the video because I can’t follow you while I am not looking at the monitor/screen by turning away or bent over.

  • Thank you Allie! My 5 year old son decided to do part of this with me, so we substituted a couple of Harry Potter hardcovers for extra blocks for him.

  • Esta rutina me funcionó muchisimo, solía tener los brazos bastante flacidos y gorditos. Llevo haciéndola 3 meses y eh perdido 5 cm de grosor… Se las super recomiendo

  • Personally I like having a bit of fat on my body. Fat gives me a feminine look. My chest looks fuller and my hips look rounder. But what I’ve noticed is that if you don’t exercise, your body will accumulated more fat around your mid section, which throws your figure off. I’ve also noticed that I’m less hungry when I exercise regularly. Exercising and eating healthy with an occasional unhealthy meal keeps your body looking good. I’m aiming to put on muscle but also maintain a pich of fat, therefore giving me a bit of a thick look. Slimming my waist, adding lots of muscle to my legs and glutes and having long slim muscles on my arms.

  • actually these poses r not only for stomach…full body parts reduction i suppose…hope it would be effective…gonna try dis…pls drop ur likes if u agree

  • Boat pose is where I struggle personally. And side planks I can do them with a bent arm but not one straight out yet. Any pointers for that last one?

  • i have 2 months until vacation (if it isnt cancelled bc of covid) and i reaallly want to get in shape and lose 2 inches off my waist, this helps!

  • Allie, that was so wonderful, thank you, I love using blocks. The little birds chirping away added beautifully to the meditation, they were singing along with my Aussie bush birds outside my window……peace and love xxx

  • The directions need to be spoken. It’s impossibl to turn my head or bend down and read the screen at the same time. I have to keep looking up or over, which defeats the purpose.

  • I started doing today and I must say that the corpse pose is my favourite one XD
I feel like when the time is 1 minute, for the other exercises, they are the longest 1 minutes of my life but for the corpse one it is the total opposite

  • Guys yoga helped me make my stomach flat more than doing press ab workouts!!! Even my stomach now is sunken in!!! I guess it’s all about breathing! And yoga boosts your metabolism. Overall, I’m happy!!!!

  • Glad I found this. Makes me enjoy the practice even more. Felt more balanced and therefore confident and strong. Much better alignment. Really enjoyed. Top Favorite! Will do again and again. Thanks for making us this video. You’re a great teacher.

  • Can you talk about your skin care and hair routine? Your hair looks so healthy as does your skin! Would love to see your skin care and makeup choices? Great video! <3

  • That’s was my first time with you! Amazing practice and definitely not the last one ❤️ I feel that it’s gonna be amazing journey with you to explore my limits.
    See you soon

  • Love this yoga regiment. Have been doing it everyday for a week and already see a difference in ny body and flexibility. Thank you!

  • ( 10:10) Sorry to say this bad intermittent fasting won’t work with less than 12-14 hours of fasting that’s because, for the first 12 hours of fasting, your body burns glycogen (a molecule that stores sugar). After 12 hours, it starts to burn fat stores. So from 12 hours onwards your body will lose weight! Hope this helped anyone

U should practice this in a month guys, there is no shortcut to have a big change, ignore all the arm workout tht say result in week! There is no shortcut

  • omg i have the same body skinny fat XD I want to start sport but i’m not consistent i need someone with who i can do it everyday!

  • I’ve been struggling a lot with the extra 15lbs I’ve put on the past couple of years but I can’t stay consistent and motivated and I’m so frustrated. It’s so discouraging. Seeing your video is so inspiring! But how do I get there:(

  • I’ve been doing some youtube workouts since last June. I went from 120-112 lbs, my abdominal area is really nicely toned but my lower stomach (aka pooch) has not changed and it shows no matter how much I suck in my gut:(

  • Thanks a lot BRIGHT SIDE today I start this and I’m feeling so amazing it’s all because of your great tips thank you very much and lots of love ❤️

  • Yo my breasts gained a bit of fat after I gained weight and now I’m afraid they will go away if I get leaner lmao. I really like my breasts now.

  • I’m going to do this because I have broad shoulders and bulky arms. It’s impossible for me to find women’s long/short sleeve clothing that fits nicely on my body AND my shoulders/upper arms. Hopefully, if I can reduce the fat content on my arms, I’ll finally be able to wear what I want.

    Week 1
    Left: 13 in/33 cm

This my first time doing this really and it is easy.

This is day Im going to do this for 5 days Three Times a day while water fasting too I will update you guys In the morning.

  • The camel and boat poses look so easy but the hardest to hold. I’m not sure where most of the weight should on. But loving the poses overall. Thank you

  • Thank you so much Adrienne from Sydney, Australia <3 Who would have thought a video you made in 2014 would become so useful in 2020 during this pandemic and so many people now stuck working from home. Take care and keep up the amazing work. Have always wanted to try Yoga and with gyms closed its so great I could still achieve this on Youtube and for free!

  • it’s actually insane how much I related to your first part of the video about over eating and the whole “soft/ weak/ lethargic” thing. This video honestly is so much different than so many others that I have watched and it means a lot to hear how other people experience those things too. Just wanted to share how much it means and that I really appreciate you sharing your journey, as I have gone through a similar one myself so this was very comforting/ motivational

  • Good for you! I’d love to see where you are in 10 years when you have more knowledge about this subject. It seem like your on a great journey of discovery.

  • And I finally held crow! I didn’t even need the block but just having underneath my head must have been the confidence booster I needed! Thank you!

  • This vedio is good. I am also a successful weight loss woman. You could see my channel maybe my journey help you. We should go together and keep the weight loss off.

  • Your ebook recipe link is not opening up for me. I would like to see what you’re eating so I can try and see if it works for me. Thank you.

  • I’m so glad you highlighted doing the same workout over and over is so boring because I’m the exact same way!! Thanks for the tips

  • I like this guru, but sometimes I am confused. In a video he said he eat just one meal a day, and he skips breakfast, but now he show us his healthy meal. In another video he said he is in perfect shape, but in another he said he felt sick and he aged 25 year in few months…..so where is the truth

  • HOW DID YOU KNOW that I couldn’t play sound in my workplace atm!? This was just perfect!! And the first time I did your practice outside the safe space of my room. Made me notice how I tend to tense up without even noticing! I feel adventurous AND awesome now! Thank you.

  • I’m finally doing this practice and I loved it!!! It was awkward at first but then I felt incredibly strong. really really cool and definitely a do-over. Your ending made me smile.

  • It was a reminder of my past Yoga classes and I’m glad to have this because it will only make me stronger and centered. I feel less tense and stiff. However, I could not watch and do some of the exercises at the same time. Thanks for sharing and I will use these exercises during my sun rise.

  • I have the same body shape but I’m a bit skinnier. I get called a stick all the time but ever since I started working out because of volleyball I feel a lot more confident.

  • I just wanna add that just because someone looks slim doesn’t mean they have gut health or good heart health eitherrrr and a lot of people don’t think about that‍♀️

  • Thank you for being one of the first yoga instructors in my practice to embrace blocks. For over 3 years, I’ve felt like a deviant in group yoga classes. I always bring my own blocks to ensure I have two of them to mange the reality of imperfect proportions. Clearly my arms are shorter. The blocks have helped me have stronger downward dog, plank, hop ins etc. I think my shoulders are better supported. Instructors and fellow yogis have tolerated my elevated technique. I’ve searched the internet for discussions on adjusting our yoga practices to account for body differences but have found nothing. You’ve made me feel like it is OK to use blocks in this manner.

  • i instantly subscribed because this is the first time ive seen someone with the same problems as me before my fitness journey. i appreciate this showing up while scrolling!!

  • I used to be borderline anorexic and binged after starving for too long. I have been pretty ok recently, and the phrase that helps me so much is “proud not hungry.” Be proud of your food. Don’t be hungry all the time.

  • Hello Mrs. April when during and at the end of these exercises I only have pain in the shoulders and not in the lower arm. Is it normal? Thanks in advance for the answer

  • Does anyone here work 12-14h shifts and still manages to workout everyday and eat healthy? I mean during the quarantine yes I do since I work remotely but otherwise, once I go back to work, it’s really difficult to incorporate daily workouts to my routine:(

  • Hi I’m coming back to this video because thats how much of a difference it made to me! Your wording, positivity and encouragement in this video totally clicked with me!! I was “skinny fat” like you were describing and now I’m down 6 pounds in 1 month and I’m never looking back! I feel soooo good about myself now and I can see the difference in my toning too! I’ve learned how to live a healthy but still manageable life and I’m totally in love with my new healthy habits! Thank you so much for being so honest in this. I truly think this video changed my life because it’s what caused me to initially start my health kick and I’ve learned so much along the way that I will keep with me! Keep up the good work:)

  • Yes! I common misconception is that all skinny people are healthy! It matters what’s going on INSIDE the body, not what you always see on the outside.

  • Great practice Allie! Just with the help of using blocks, which I usually used when I need to get into some of the pose. Thank you so much, Namaste

  • Same, I’m skinny fat and I don’t feel strong or a good routine or good food either! Trying to change that during this quarantine:)

  • I’m gonna be so fit by the time I go back to school next year. It’s not a “I hope I can” it’s a “I can and I am going to” kinda thing rn

  • I’m skinny fat as well, I’m thin and untoned in most areas, it’s all in my love handles except I have no belly. I’m taking this seriously and getting on the fitness journey and even though I’m very sore most days I’m loving how I feel in general. I work two jobs, dog walker and weekends in a bar so very active jobs, but I ate loads all the time and wasn’t losing weight because of it. I’ve cut down so much sugar and carbs, and gone on a Mediterranean diet. I’ve also been intermittent fasting which is easy for me as I never wake up hungry and usually only eat one big meal a day anyways, and maybe a snack.

I was starting to like my body but now that we have been in lockdown, I’ve gained so much fat and binge ate and no exercise.

Ive been doing yoga every day and bodyweight core exercise like sit ups, crunches, planks, press ups, squats etc, building up to go on my first run soon even though I’m not a fan of running when it’s not treadmill.

I’m genuinely so excited and hopeful and motivated.

  • Hey!! You should pretty please do a video or make a website (like chloe ting’s) with a couple weeks workout schedule that has cardio workouts, yoga, etc, and all the rep/set amounts for the strength workouts. Especially over quarantine I really need this!! ❤️ Thank you!

  • I’m an RN at Johns Hopkins and I just took a few minutes to help unwind before starting my shift. Thanks for helping me take better care of myself to take better care of my patients during this wild time. ❤️

  • i’m glad to see there are many skinny fat girls like me out there, i’m 43 kg rn my ideaaal weight, but i wish i was toned, my confidence would boost 100% i’m so excited to try this out

  • I just found your channel and instantly subscribed! I feel I’m in the same kinda place as you right now and hoping to start to see a change soon!:D

  • Same. I have the same body as you had before.. I don’t know what I can do about it because I already am in a deficit and also workout. It’s just like my body doesn’t want to get in shape ‍♀️

  • Just sent this to all of my colleagues. We have great workstations in the office, but as of yesterday, we’re all working from home because of COVID-19. I don’t want people to suffer because they don’t have their regular resources. Adriene is awesome, the video is short enough to sneak into breaks w/ no trouble. Share widely.

  • So awesome for working from home. I’ve been feeling tight in my shoulders and neck recently because of sitting all day at home, and this has helped a lot! Thank you so much!

  • I want to say thank you for posting this video. I started on a fitness journey in January and the first thing I started to do to improve my health was start yoga. Your video is wonderful!

  • This was possibly the best yoga practice I have ever done! ❤️ Thank you very much!
    Love my new blocks!!

    week 1
day 1 the pain… i hate her she made it look easy ( didn’t do the last one b’cuz i refuse to stand up )
day 2 woke up with all sorts of pain but bts dynamite fixed it for me, still painful to do but will get used to it (my MT arrives in two days)

  • This was the perfect video to break in my new blocks. I loved every moment of this class. I learned some new postures and positions and really enjoyed the welcoming energy of Allie. I look forward to my next class. Namaste ☺

  • a colleague just shared this, and I did it right away, thank you. I did like the music and the script, but it would be nice to have an option for it to be said aloud so I don’t have to look at the screen? Amazing sequence, thank you.

  • Awesome video using blocks!!
I think it is the only complete one..Blocks are so under used.. Obviously not everyone is very flexible.. Blocks make your yoga practice better by aligning your body..

Please consider doing another one.. Thanks!

  • Ive been doing this and i changed from doing ab workout to yoga and i feel really better! And i can see more progress on this then ab workouts

  • I follow all your videos. This one is good at the desk, however I wish it was verbal queuing. Several times we are looking away from the camera and I’m constantly having to look back to check what step you’re at. Can you do a voice over for this? Thank you for all your videos. I love them.

  • Im gonna try doing this in a week so yeah in the end i will write the results!
DAY 1: (today) it was hard especially number 10 and I’ve sweated so much!
DAY 2: again it was hard but number 10 i felt like it wasn’t hard anymore but i’ll see tomorrow!

  • I loved this class and the way you used the blocks through the entire class. I struggle with getting those in my classes to use their blocks. Awesome as always!

  • This video is everything ❣️thanks!!! every morning I come right back here ❣️☀️‍♂️ and I’m getting stronger because this gets easier the more I do it ❣️

  • Why a yoga session without verbal instructions? This does not make sense to me. I have to watch the screen & read instead of relaxing and following simple instructions. Here is a link to a great audible chair yoga. Nope, don’t know the instructor or don’t get kick backs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fnLKyRJsrs

  • I’ve done this one 3 times now and love it! Just what I needed after an entire day of driving and sitting on an airplane traveling! Love your beautiful spirit and so excited to meet you so so soon!

  • I loved this!! I can’t get over how awesome it is that you have this as a video. The captions are so true to all of the other yoga with Adriene videos. This absolutely made my day.

  • Hey Allie, I absolutely love your videos! I have been trying to cultivate a consistent yoga practice for years but was unable to stick with it. However, with the help of your videos, I now have a daily practice and can see the changes in my body and mind! Keep up the good work!

  • I loved using the blocks! Great flow! You are in beautiful country. We lived in Grecia, Costa Rica for one year back in 2010. Best wishes.

  • Thank you Allie. Enjoyed working with the blocks. You truly have a gift. Thank you for sharing it with us. Namaste….. and thank you Allie’s hubby for filming

  • I really want to do yoga for my whole workout because I want to become more stronger & I really want to lose weight in my face I’ve gained weight in my face but everywhere else isn’t? I’m not understanding why

  • Can you do a similar video of yoga in a chair for students with audio and words? I would love to use something like this with my students but they need the audio guidance as many wouldn’t be able to read/process the moves that quickly without word instruction. Thanks!

  • Totally loved. Due to injury I started your practice using blocks. It was so nice to see how far I’ve come returning to the blocks. My heels were touching the floor for the first time in downward facing dog. Loved the bloopers at beginning and end of the practice. Namaste to your hubby for filming.

  • I did this after a joe wicks workout (bare in mind after the joe wicks workout my legs couldn’t walk without shaking)and after this video, BOI AM I DYING

  • I recommend you all to so some breathing exercises like meditation after this to help you relax especially if you’re doing these exercises the first time. I’m saying this because it helped me

  • I realized I’ve been in quarantine for 9 weeks and could have done this, too! I will definitely start this today because I’ve got nothing (but inches) to lose!

  • Ok so people are saying they used this for an week and it’s been an change for them ok so I’m going on vacation and ima wear an bikini I never wear a bikini because I don’t like showing my tummy or legs or under arms we have 3 DAYS TILL VACATION IS THAT ENOUGH TIME?!

  • Hearing about your past struggles is like looking into a mirror! I feel some real hope of recovery and wellness in the future.

  • I couldn’t wait to try this one. My block was very slippery so it was hard to feel confident in some o the poses. Still love it!! Thanks

  • I finally got into Yoga and Meditation as part of my daily routines. Now it’s an important part of my schedule. Peace love and respect!

  • How does Isha’s Upa-Yoga (Angamardana) compare to Thanduvada Shuddhi or the Shanthi meditation? Does it involve any chakras (Ajna, Thuriyam, etc)?

  • didn’t want to do updates at first but I think this might help motivate me so yesss let’s go:
    left: 29 cm
    right: 30 cm
Day 1: ✅ challenging but not so challenging that I had to stop or felt that I physically could not do it
Day 2: ✅ equally as difficult
Day 3: ✅ maybe slightly easier but my forehead was still covered in sweat by the end
Day 4: ✅ easier! except for the c-rotations those will surely be the death of me…
Day 5: ❌ got into a HUGEEEE fight w my mom won’t go into detail but basically I’m too tired from crying all day though I probs lost weight since I barely ate due to stress and anxiety

  • I didn’t know how slim he was underneath his robes. His robes make him look much bigger. Much respect to Sadhguru for keeping fit.

  • Lol I’ve seen a bunch of his videos, and him just now appearing in a longsleeve shirt, har, sunglasses with a dirtbike behind him cracks me up

  • That kick he did. That is kalaripayattu I’ve seen it. it’s a kind of exercise they do, sadhguru that is freaking coooooooool!!!!!!!!

  • All of your help with life are wonderful. You make think about my being in a whole new way. You are very smart man. I really appreciate all things in life you, make seem no, matter what you can always improve yourself and the change is what makes life good. I Thank You so very much.
