If you’re sad, it can make you more emotional. It can also trigger more impulsivity,” said Dr. Hidalgo.. And while it can be challenging, set a holiday budget and stick to it. “I think it’s important to know how much you can spend. To look at what expenses you have for the rest of the month, and to know really what your limits are,” she said..
