Using the above workout schedule as a framework, you can easily add in any cardio workout that falls into the corresponding workout style. If you are not able to do HIIT routines then you can replace them with strength training to get a similar fat burn and afterburn effect. For fat loss, there is no best type of cardio. If you enjoy taking fitness classes to burn extra calories, do that.

If you enjoy being outside, by all means do your cardio outdoors. The most important thing is to stay consistent with your cardio protocol and choose types of cardio you enjoy. Various studies have identified that, when it comes to the best cardio for weight loss, shorter, high-intensity cardio sessions – aka HIIT – are key.

  • This workout kicked my butt big time! Total sweatfest! I honestly had to pause a little more than I usually do to and almost stopped completely at 28 mins.. but after a short break decided I needed to finish it! Actually pretty proud I completed it. Hard but very effective! Maxed out!:)

  • Hey guys! I’m a decently active person and wanted to give whoever needs it, a calorie burn reference: I’m 4’11, 110 lbs and burn 130-150 calories for this workout depending on how hard I go.

  • Hey Vince, I feel like my chest is way stronger than my triceps, because my arms give out way before my chest does and they get too fatigued to continue a chest workout but I litterly don’t feel anything in my chest. It’s like for my chest it’s just an everyday activity but my triceps are going ham. Maybe I just don’t know much about body building if you have any tips or info I will grately appreciate it.

  • Last 2018, I weighed for about 69kgs. Since I want to look good for prom, I decided to get back to shape. I lost 11kgs in 5 months, I did dance and HIIT workouts. I couldn’t be any more thankful for Fitness Blender in helping me throughout my weight loss journey.

    3 years later, was 240 brought my weight down to 170 No exercise at all at that time… F en eat real food and drink 80 to 120 ml of water.
    Yes nothing processed nothing at all only real food.

  • I dont understand. The first two months of quarantine, this workouts used to make my heart pump so fast, and my muscles tired. Even though, eventually I had to start making at least one and a half, maybe two hours of this trainings to get tired, on the second month. On really high energy days, I did like three hours. I fucking love this. This third month of quarantine, I decided to go for a weight challenge routine. Been weight training mostly this last month. Now the HIIT and CARDIO trainings do not make my heart pump super fast anymore. I kind of need it, cause I have super bad blood circulation on winter, for whatever reason, and it shows on my legs, my face, my lips, my overall healthy look. Felt like I have a lot more strenght in general, I get the most from each excercise involving every single part of my body in them consciously, but they didnt make my heart go fast, even when I push it faster whitout loosing form. This is my second video, I choose it because I remember that it made me sweat like hell before. I’ll try a harder one and if it doesnt work i guess i’m stuck on adding more and more weight to my rutines. It’s just that I miss HIIT and cardio sometimes, but it isnt getting me where I want anymore. I’m sad! Anyway, thanks for helping me make my body a supermachine I guess. HAHA. This is the only thing in quarantine that helped me not to get sad, anxious, depressed, sleeping well, get trough the day happy, taking care of my wellbeing.

  • I think I started using FB workouts regularly back in 2018 but initially found you guys in Summer of 2016 (holy shit just realized its been that long). I was struggling with sticking to working out consistently until I bought one of your two week programs on your site because I knew that if it was something id paid for id force myself to do it and have been doing it consistently since! Have tried other channels as well (Chloe Ting mostly) and they were great but always found myself missing K+D. So if you’re struggling to get into exercise, I would recommend spending the 10 or 15 dollars on one of their programs if you can spare the money because I find spending money and making use you get use out of what you purchased is a good motivator.

  • question: i always get confused with the duration, how long do you mean by short duration and long duration, a lot of the members on fitness threads do hours of low to medium cardio, i mostly do hiit and im not sure how much is enough or how much is too much. any help?

  • or you could do fasted hit. it also burns 400kcals as well. its easier to do while doing intermediate fasting eating pattern. just simply do any cardio excerise that you like, and do it in intervals during your 16 hours, 20 hours, or 24 hours.

For 2 months, I’ve been mixing your workouts (with an average calories burn of 200-450), between cardio, hiit, etc, 5-6 times/week.My silhouette is slightly improving “in the mirror” but my clothes are tighter and the scale went up about 5 pounds. I’m freaking out a little bit, especially for the clothes cuz it makes me feel fat and bloated. I drink min 3L of water/day and eat really clean and only cheat (nothing crazy) for 2-3 meals/week.   • I use to run like mad, but when I saw this video, I followed it, do high incline left heavy weights and do high intensity workout, for way less time I lost lots of weight, and I feel my body still burning 2 days after workout amazing, and I become more fit and stronger, thank u.

  • First time I tried this but I did the easy alternative moves. Love it. Been doin the 10minutes floor abdominal and squats videos of Firness Blender for a little over 2 weeks. I love it all. I am 52 living in lockdown in London and this helps me a lot! Gives me energy and vitality. I do exercises thru your videos daily. Except for this one which I will try and do once a week so as not to overdo ��

  • Nice workout �� I’d say this is intermediate to advanced workout. Wouldn’t give it a number because it actually differs from somebody to another, and also differs for one person on different days. As you said some days you feel weaker and other you feel stronger. Though what’s most importantly you keep moving even if you had to do some modifications the whole idea is move it and challenge yourself. ����

  • Please like this comment for everybody to learn that: My brother is studying medicine and going to be a doctor in two years. Here is what he says about this issue. If you continue doing only or doing too much intense workout with low durations, gaps in your heart will get bigger while muscles of it stay the same. This increases heart attack risk a lot. Because your heart muscles won’t be able to hold the blood that fills the gaps of your heart any more. If you continue doing low intense workout with high durations, that will makes your heart muscles stronger. So I think doing medium intense workout with medium durations will help you to keep the balance between the muscles and the gaps. We surely trust Kelly and Daniel but I also wanted to add this important information.

  • 4/5 for me! Before this, I was doing the 20-minute brutal hiit ladder workout and it was 5/5 for me! It was so brutal that doing this exhausted me but not to the point of quitting.   • I never thanked Fitness Blender for my weight loss. Back in 2015, I weighted 105 kg. I was frustrated and angry with myself. I gained so much weight because of dieting and starving myself.   • I’m glad everyone in the comment section feel healthier with the help of this workout but i still feel like this is worth saying: HIIT is not beginner friendly. If you haven’t worked out regularly before you should do a workout that is lower in intensity to reduce the risk of injury. I would also add that i take two(2) Anti-depressants namely -Trazadone(50mg) and Prozac (20 mg).Why did i mention these 2 Meds?Antidepressants retain Bodyfat-my issue is around the Midsection-ive not reached the results i need.I hope this will help!   • I love this workout. It is hard but possible to do at any fitness level. I also liked it because it has a warm up and a cool down which I often skip. I will try to do at 3x a week.

  • I run 4 miles slowly for around 35 minutes and sometimes I do some fast runningthis I guess is medium and the HIIT is a combination of your videos with exercises?

  • This is all good information however for a beginner, it’s information overload… cardio no cardio, calorie in/out versus not counting… HIT versus resistance training… hell, almost easier to just be fat ����‍♂️

  • Fat burns when the exercise is not intense and done in long time…i recommend long walk 30min per day….also these exercices are intense they burn calories but it’s glucise insted of fat.

  • actually, it’s HIIT, and it stands for High Intensity Interval Training. fitness blender actually has a video on what HIIT is and how often you should do it. check it out, it helped me a lot!:)

  • I’ve been doing hiit every day for about two weeks now. I’m also a ballet dancer, so I train for roughly four hours a day. you said in this video that you’re only supposed to do hiit four times a week, but my body has been feeling good if a little sore? is this okay or should I lay off, even though my body is fairly used to this?

  • I would like to do this at home. I have a treadmill and elliptical but I don’t have a bike. Can I do the 30 sec intervals on the elliptical?

  • Soo….What if I go for a really intense run?  I usually try for 8:00 8:30 minute miles, and it definitely feels like HIGH intensity.  Would it be better to maybe do it more like interval training; jog for a quarter mile/go harder for a quarter mile?  P.S.  Your videos rule my mornings.  Thanks for helping me find my muscles!

  • I am swimmer who would like some new ideas for strength and fat burning… I currently use paddles for strength training of arms and upper body as well as fins that are cut short so it is more of a workout for the legs plus regular lap swimming at least 1000 meters. I could use some more swim based suggestions as lap swimming alone can get boring.

  • I’ve done this workout before, and did it again today. Except today, I wasn’t feeling that great and my body felt quite lethargic but I wanted to do a workout. I did low impact all the way through and was kind to myself. It felt really tough at first, but now I am feeling so much better. This is quite the victory for me considering how I used to think compared to now.

Like 99% of every fitness question any one could ever ask the answer is…….. “it depends” It depends on the person their training status, age. Fitness levels etc etc etc etc. The list goes on!!   • My cardio workouts are
    15 mins sprint but within that 15 mins. I sprint for 1 min then jog for 30 seconds.

    15-20 min boxing
    Every 1 min I punch as much as possible, then rest for 20-30 sec

    Then 8 reps 3 sets of push up and dips

    What do you reckon on my workout\ cardio plan?

  • Absolutely NOTHING wrong with steady state cardio. I am very lean at @ 12% and have a lot of muscle. Vigiorous cardio can tax the muscles for weight training and recovery from weight training. I walk at a speed of 3.5 at an incline from 6to 9 for an hour 3/4 times a week in the am fasted.
    Youu don’t need to go banana’s for 15 min to get great results….that’s a fact.
