See below for some inspiration, and be happy knowing that even fitness pros like to splurge once in awhile. “Savory quinoa bowl with arugula, lentils (or black beans, depending on what’s in my pantry), sweet potato, avocado and tahini sauce. Dinner bowls are my version of comfort food — they are simple, warm, hearty and nutritious. “I eat dinner around 8 p.m. after a long day of coaching and running Unite Fitness. A lot of times, I prepare certain parts of the meal that take longer than 15 minutes ahead of time, like, sometimes in the morning or the night before when I am watching TV, I’ll bake the fish or the spaghetti squash.

20 percent protein 25 percent fat 55 percent carbs Total daily cals: 1,400 (to drop 1 to 1.5 pounds per week) Breakfast. 1/2 whole wheat English muffin. I’ll eat eggs with ham or chicken sausage, greens and some baked potatoes.

Also a smoothie with almond or coconut milk, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, kale, spinach, broccoli sprouts, cinnamon, a scoop of rolled oats and two scoops of whey protein and nootropics. Eat too much, and you’ll feel lethargic and ready for a productivity-killing nap. The point is: A wholesome lunch can really make or break the rest of your day.

For some lunchtime guidance beyond what dietitians eat, here’s what six fitness professionals — from spin instructors to strength coaches — eat for their midday meals. One day (or one meal) of the week, you can nosh on the foods you’ve axed from your healthy meal plan—without feeling guilty or packing on pounds. While either may sound like a godsend to dieters far and wide, cheating on your diet—especially for a whole day, not just one meal—probably has as many proponents as opponents. Eggs, a universal bodybuilding staple, offer easy-to-digest protein to kick-start muscle growth. Cream of Wheat provides energy-rich complex carbohydrates, and bananas contain both fructose and potassium, which support glycogen formation in the liver and muscles to minimize muscle breakdown in the body.

For some pre-exercise eating inspiration, we polled seven fitness professionals to see what they eat before working out. Their picks vary, but all have one thing in common: energy-giving carbs. So, before you go for a run or start a heavy lifting session, consider one of these pre-workout snack. Food Fitness & Fun. My aim is to help you eat better, relish cooking and stay inspired to enjoy the journey of health fitness and weight loss.

  • Hey! Thanks for this helpful video. By the way, I notice a lot of people keep on talking about Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine), but I’m not sure if it’s good. Have you tried Custokebon Secrets? I’ve heard several unbelivable things about it and my work buddy lost lots of weight with it, but she refuses to tell me:(

  • Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal Eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal eggs and oatmeal

  • medium, medium well but im not the best steak cooker so its soemtimes welldone, but i still eat it hahahah fuck man. thats like me. i used to get my steak well done cuz i was like wtf i want my shit cooked. but it is what it is! im learning a thing or two now

  • My favorite part was when they showed a clip of processed lunch meats and cheese… Eggs and a few spinach leaves, yeah looks like powerfood. Ha!

  • That potato pouch is kind of a rip off… for a fast “baked” potato just wrap it in some damp paper towels and it does the same thing in the same time. 8 to 10 minutes for a large russet and you’re good to go.

  • Everybody knows they use gear.. well.. not everybody. There are still young and naive people that don’t. My point is it would be nice to show the diet and the roid cycle these guys are on. If you show the food also show the roids and the sleep and the workout. The whole routine. Please share the whole story so we don’t continue the sad cycle of unnatural enhancement. And then let people make their choice if they want to follow or not after they’re educated on what you guys actually do

  • Why would u eat carbohaydrate in ur dinner meal, ur body doesn’t need energy when ur sleeping so it will stor it as fat☝️ and that will cauz me a problem bro, i don’t need to do more others minutes of cardio

  • He need to take a page out of Ronnie Coleman’s book on what to put on potatoes cuz that man used to DOWSE his potatoes and fries in BBQ sauce!!!

  • Jhonnie Jackson! You can simply take the potato.. Poke IT all over with a fork… And put IT in the microwave for like 4 minutes..IT will be perfect every time

  • You don’t need a pouch like this at all. Just take the potato, cut some holes in it, put it in a soup dish, fill the soup dish with some water (about half the height of the potato), then put it in the microwave, and let it cook for 8-10 minutes. Done. Just be careful not to burn yourself because some hot water will not evaporate.

  • This guy needs to calm down. Does he know the difference between egg whites and yolks? The bowl clearly had yellow yolks in it, not whites.
    C.H.

  • Very nice video. Surprisingly open and honest with good advice. I used to just eat loads! ‍♂️ One question if the pH of our stomach is about 2.0, why is drinking coke at pH 2.5 a problem?

  • These guys can eat alot without getting fat because they use steriods, for normal people we get fat by just eating one hamburger.

  • Nice steak meal……super tasty and lots of iron and vit B12!

Love the addition of butter……but he could do better by cooking his steak in a cast iron skillet.

  • I’m learning a lot from this channel, keep these videos coming oh yeah I just watched that 20,000 calorie video, I don’t know how the hell u kept all that food down. I ate 9 scrambled eggs this morning with ketchup & had a hard time keeping it down. Nothing came up by the way

  • There is no way he is “supposed to be small”. Only a certain bone structures can carry that much muscle. I can tell just by looking at his wrists that he is a mesomorph.

  • Boy if you don’t get that damn fork out of that nonstick skillet!!! I want to fight you for that! It’s probably the chef in me. Lol Oh and that’s too many times at the stove. It would be beneficial to do that all on a Sunday.

  • a bit funny to see the nutrition expert for a pro bike team is 10 kilos overweight easily. he probably tries a lot of the porridge in the morning.

  • There is also a psychological part in eating all that… healthy good food… I bet there must be a secret or two there…
    Now hand me the katchup!

  • i never seen a bodybuilder so happy they all have the same look when you look at their faces you see they are suffering from inside why is that? .

  • I would of clicked it even if it was chicken. Just keep in mind folks, even though it could be the same old meal u can get different ideas if it’s a different person each time making it. How they cook it or what seasonings they use or healthier choice sauces. Never know what u will see

  • Good video. Thinking of doing prep meals starting January. Except I want my shit burned to death sorry me no like pinky stuff. I know its juicy but I feel like the cow is going go moo at me if I eat it like that.

  • For us Indians though, we can’t have beef or steak in our country, due to religious aspects.
Can we substitute with grilled mutton?

  • I PREFER CHICKEN AS MY DINNER BECAUSE IT IS MORE DELICIOUS THAN MEAT AND ALSO MORE CHEAP IN FACT I DON’T LIKE MEAT I’M JUST EAT CHICKEN FISH AND SOMETIMES PIG

  • Ummm not trying to start something but chess is not a sport and the individuals who play chess are not athletes. They are incredibly smart people, but not athletes

  • One thing I realise in these videos is they never say if their in off season or in season but even though we can tell some can’t. Other then that I love the value these video do bring though

  • Bro, im not a professional football player but i used to be very2 healthy like this and muay thai. I lose a lot of weight in short time. Like from 100kg to 66kg. Trust me this won’t work. Everything got limit even being healthy. You will loose all your face fats, your arms will be very small like a sick person, face and body size proportions will look funny and finally not even 50 percent of the nutrients you eat will be absorbed by your body. Don’t give false information to get views.

  • You guys really believe that physique with that tight thin waist is real? Looooool… this dude on crazy ‘Steroids’ Skin Thinners + this dude deffo got Plastic Surgery

  • Does Episoketren System really help to improve your soccer technique? We’ve learn many good stuff about this popular training program.

  • If you drink an acidic drink, your body doesn’t put it in the digestive system it directs it down the left hand side of the body to the right place, water to the right

  • Eggs,

People in this community seem to never learn from those who went before them.

No wonder after 40 their light goes dim.

Useful muscles, compared to blow up muscles,
    (More than you need)

More than you need means life substance used up for a brighter light, but short lived light.

If this guy is an ectomorph, then obviously
he has had some anabolic substance assistance
    that shortens his lifespan.

  • Why no salt bro, the salt is great for you especially in the morning, unless the foods you’re adding it to are already high cholesterol or high sodium its good to get some salt in there

  • that’s not hard enough for me right now.
i need it to be hard. i need it to be difficult.
i need to face a challenge like eating the healthiest most of my life, most of the year, most of the month.

i need something to overcome to get the wheels turning, i think.

  • Guys. lost a ton of weight doesn’t need to be hard (I used to feel it did). I’m going to give you some advice now. Get a popular weight loss secrets called Custokebon Secrets (search on google). Thanks to it I have lost a lot of weight. I probably should not even be talking about it cause I do not really want a lot of other guys out there running exactly the same game but whatever. I’m just in a excellent mood today so I’ll share the wealth lol.

  • What are some ways to lost tons of fat? I read plenty of good reviews on the net about how Custokebon Secrets can help you lost crazy amounts of weight. Has any one tried using this popular lose weight methods?

  • 0:05 “How can I make breakfast in 20 minutes?”

That is not some kinda dilemma. That is a crapload of time! 19 more minutes than I have every morning. Lol

  • The whole point of lifting and eating properly is to look healthy and strong, I’m normally not one to comment because i’m sure he puts the work in but this guys body looks completely out of proportion
and should not be promoting any kind diet to make people think that by eating the way he does that you’ll end up looking this way because it’s more than obvious that it’s not natural and if anybody believes different then you’re only fooling yourselves.

  • This video was great. It’s made me realise I’m eating too many wheats and grains and not enough fruit and veg. I completely agree with your point that it’s ok to eat a cheat meal once in a while, the body and mind appreciate it!!! Liked and subbed. Peace.

  • Anyone know what is Custokebon Secrets about? I hear many individuals lost crazy amounts of weight with Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine).

  • I’m new to your channel. Do you or can you make a video for rehabbing your legs if you have had any nagging injuries.. Specifically your knees from soccer.

  • 24 oz Almond Milk, 1cup cream rice raw, 1/2 cup of oatmeal raw, 1tbsp of MCT oil, 1tbsp Honey, scoop of peanut butter, choice of fruit bananas or blueberries, egg whites if you want crushed ice mix in blender….. Done in less than 5 minutes. Are you kidding me on salt intake salt is horrible for blood pressure, kidneys, and makes you retain water. The cheese is also not necessary. Where did this knucklehead come from. Lol

  • One must have patience when cooking and spraying the pan first with “Pam” cooking spray is essential! Aluminum foil is your friend when baking . Old bay seasoning goes on every thing

  • Just a quick note that this is not my daily meal plan. I eat different meals every single day and my calories, protein, carbs, and fats all fluctuate slightly. There’ll be days where I have close to 400g of carbs and less fat and days like I’m the video where my carbs are slightly lowered and fats inflated. Every day is different!

  • Guys, build muscle doesn’t have to be difficult (I used to feel it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Look for a diet plan called Custokebon Secrets. Seriously, that program has transformed my life. I probably shouldn’t even be mentioning it cause I do not want a bunch of other folks out there running the same “game” but whatever, I am just in a great mood today so I’ll share the wealth haha.

  • As expert, I do think Custokebon Secrets can be good way to lost tons of weight. Why not give it a chance? maybe it’s going to work for you too.

  • It’s hilarious how these videos always omit the copious amount of drugs these guys are on.

This is why young men have body image issues.

  • All that carb restriction, just to have 700 calories of Ice Cream at night. Maybe, you should save that banana for the night, make a thick chocolate whey protein, almond milk, banana shake. That will satisfy your sweet tooth.

  • He takes care of his breakfast been watching these breakfast of builders and they don’t look nice his oats looked good with the fresh fruit cinnamon b honey and his eggs looked arite too….fair play done cus that farouq dude be flavour chicken with ketchup n babacue sauce..

  • Hey man, that looks like a ceramic skillet. Fat like Pam degrades the pan and reduces its life. Just put your food in without any fat to prevent sticking because the pan itself is designed to prevent sticking already. Just wipe with a paper towel afterwards and wash with soapy water lightly after use.

  • Hi Matt, I´ve been watching some of your videos and I like the football content, good job!
I know this is an old video. But please, let me give you some cooking tips. I’m a cook, and this is just a constructive coment, there is no “hate” or something in it, just trying to help.

    1. For breakfast, you can cook first your bell peppers to make it softer, then add your egg whites, leave the tomato and basil last. With a good nonstick pan, you need less oil that you are using (making it healthier).

    2. Cooking meat: The pan must be really hot, so it creates Maillard reaction when it touches the pan and sear the meat properly holding the juices, it’s going to be absolutely tastier. Again, with a good nonstick pan you don’t need that oil amount, and try to not use a metal fork on your nonstick pan ’cause you don’t wanna scratch it.

    3. Green asparagus: You can boil it in salted water for about 1 min and then eat it with a drizzle of olive oil, or boil it 30 seconds then directly to the pan for another 30 seconds sauteed. Once again, you need less oil.

    4. Try to cook salmon less, find your “sweet spot” with your oven to have it a little more juicy.

    5. Let the food chill before putting the lid on and moving it to the fridge, if you do it hot, that can ruin your food.

Last but not least, spend some money in kitchen tools. A lot of people don’t have this considered, but a good pan, sharp knife/a sharpener and a better cuttingboard is going to make your life really easier, and you’re gonna save a lot of time cooking.

    Hope this helps, take care!

  • Hey bro can you tell me what’s good for football about food and fruit Which foods and which fruits make us stronger for football plz answer me

  • I need that little potato pouch in my life. Can anybody help me out with some links? Can’t believe I’ve never heard about it before

  • Dude I have to say that your food looks unappetizing(to me at least), as a Chinese teenager I have at least 10 different ways to stir fry that chicken breast and veggies without adding calories

  • Just when I think its good enough, its just keeps getting better. I made over £7,000 and I must confess that this is the best service i’ve ever recieved. Wirmonhackers. com

  • Egg whites, nutritional yeast, peanut butter, potatoes / rice, water, LIFESTYLE, and every free moment I have to spend on the seat, are all factors that keep me lean, fast, and improving weekly! This channel is GOLD!

    I’m grateful for this community!

  • I really don’t get the point in making this videos about what they eat, all of them eat exactly the same. Is there a successful body builder that actually eats a good quality diet??

  • British cooks are jokes. I didn’t mean to be rude.s.. But I don’t like to be feed like a horse in morning by them especially when I am going to cycling like a damn horse.

  • Did 16 miles on treadmill yesterday, felt pretty good,52 yrs so pretty pleased, there is definitely more in the tank aiming for marathon under 4 hours, giving myself “8”years,Means hopefuly I will be strong in my 60 s,ps have average resting heart rate of 44

  • 20-30 grams of protein seems way too little. The minimum would for normal (I mean whats normal…) people is something like 70-80 grams and body builders go up to 2.5 times their body weight in grams. I feel like my recovery and strenght are really benefiting for a higher intake of protein (around 150 grams a day) What is the science behind so little protein? I also miss fat in their diet. As being in racing myself for years and in a later stage in my life also adding weight lifting to my weekly work outs I have came to the realization how little of an importance food is for cyclists. Other sports seems to have a lot more knowledge on this subject

  • “I’m a ectomorph” YOOOO…I’m a ectomorph so this Gave me Hella motivation yo shoutout to all my ectomorphs out there man I swear we got it the hardest but to all my morphs in general all y’all go hard and keep pushing whatever goals y’all have!

  • Nigel was AWESOME! This is one of the best videos I’ve ever seen about pro cycling nutrition. He really explained it in quite a bit of detail. Most of the nutrition vids are very general, but this was fantastic. Thanks!!

  • It is almost like the word ‘sugar’ is banned now lol. Sugar IS the most important nutrient for any runner/cyclist. If you don’t take in enough refined sugars before, during and after the race you will simply bonk/improper muscle glycogen for the next stage. When you are pushing watts you are churning thru you glucose stores. When your eyes are burning a hole up the road they are being fueled by glucose. Remember that time Froome was hunger flatting and Porte dropped back to the car to get some refined sugar?

  • Just visit website NextLevelDiet and get personalized Diet and Training plan with amazing tips. I lost 15kg in two months. Finally, I have a six pack.

  • For breakfast were having………Salt table salt and sea salt then for dessert we’re having himalayan salt straight from the Punjab region of Pakistan. And then you can have a nice worm bath mixed with BLACK LAVA SALT from SYPRUS. And then finally you can stand in front the mirror and attempt to say something but you will find that your mouth has devovled into a butthole and the only thing you’ll be able to do is fart salt from your face but this will not be any salt it will be of meny colours. Salty…………..

  • Always take your steak out of the grill a couple of minutes earlier and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before you cut it. This way the juices stay inside, and you get a more tender steak.

  • Notice that they are eating real food and not the nasty crap that like gummy sweet things that are marketed to want-to-be cyclists.

  • Very interesting. Back when I started racing in 1980, on the bike race food for me consisted mainly of bananas and a plastic baggy of sliced apple pieces dipped in lemon juice (prevented oxidation/browning). I raced till 2008, so yes, I made it to the energy bar and carbo gel era.

  • Being , and lived in Scotland all my life…. I have never had, or heard of porridge with whisky and cream. Some romantic made that one up!

  • Dont know why you bother with these diet videos. All the bodybuilders eat the same damn thing! Oats, egg whites etc. This is stupid. Get some new content.

  • It’s not about just being full buddy.. it’s also about health and that you don’t fall out because you’re clogging shit up in your body

  • Thank you Johnny my brother I’ve been watching you for awhile before even the internet you’ve always come across as a positive strong brother thank you for all your information and your presentations you’re very good with the camera once again thanks for all your education on nutrition and weight training God bless you and your family keep up the good work you walk the walk and talk the talk and remember health is wealth

  • Okay so I’m not trying to go bodybuilding but I’m new to the food regimen what should I not eat and what should I eat, just some examples?

  • I like scrambled eggs with just the nice “yellow” whites of the egg. And love to season my eggs with cheddar and season after they’ve cooked

  • Diet Plan called Custokebon Secrets kept appearing here on a lot of youtube and I thought they were scams. However after my mate follow it, and finally lost crazy amounts of weight by using it without starving herself. I’m persuaded. Don’t take my own word for it, search for Custokebon Secrets on google.

  • Next time you talk about race distance and average speed in the same sentence, use either miles or kilometers for both, instead of mixing the two.

  • This guy needs a GOT SALT T-shirt, yeah good for the muscles, in case he didn’t know, Heart is a muscle and everyone knows what too much salt does to it.

  • I don’t normally eat on plates but when I do it is normally on camera and on a special occasion because I am on camera… he is me in a nutshell.

  • Your calorie tracking is pretty flawed lol, that chicken is not 720 calories, would’ve liked to see you weigh stuff but it’s cool!

  • Guys, build muscle doesn’t need to be difficult (I used to feel it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Look for a diet plan called Custokebon Secrets. Seriously, that diet plan has changed my life. I probably shouldn’t even be mentioning it because I do not want a bunch of other folks out there running the same “game” but whatever, I’m in a good mood today so I’ll share the wealth haha.

  • I wish I knew how to cook like that lol. I might do it once every couple of years. I got a question for you too. Since you guys are always the pros, do you have any idea where they get the 120lbs+ dumbbells that aren’t circus style?

  • This is sooo fake all the fast food is soo wrong so their conditioning and I definitely don’t think that’s what Charles Barkley eats before a match all that is soo wrong for their performance.
