  • My ultimate goal is fat loss. I am a intermediate runner. If I was looking to do this for a span of 30 days, would it be a good idea to do HIIT training everyday or should I keep it 4x a week and regular treadmill on off days?

  • I’ve been doing Dr. Kevin’s workouts for the past 3 months and my results are remarkable. I lost 15lbs and I watched my body transform rapidly. My abs are becoming defined and my arms and legs are becoming more defined. I love HIIT workouts, especially Dr. Kevin’s! TY!!

  • Hello Dr. I’ve started doing HIIT following your recommendations and videos however I had a question. I also do intermittent fasting. I’m in decent shape and for the most part I can follow your steps with slight modifications. I read that the best way to burn more fat is to do HIIT during your fasting. I did that today and unlike other days when I worked out and it wasn’t during my fasting, I got extremely lightheaded. Any idea why that is and is this something you’d recommend and that it will get better with practice or is it something that should be avoided? Thanks

  • Hello, i have been doing those workouts and they are excellent. But can you do a jump rope workout? I like the explanations and the encouragements you give. Please keep it up.

  • I can not wait to do this workout tomorrow at the gym! I love your elliptical and cycling workout! They are not boring and so motivating! Thank Dr. Kevin!!!

  • As a rule of thumb, you should be at least bent double preferably slightly nauseous during the rest phase ;).
My gym’s treadmills max out at 12 mph, so I HAVE to use incline to bridge the gap!

  • What is the best time to do this HIIT routine? On an empty stomach? And how many times a week? I have a slim upperbody but my hips and thights are little big,so i want to loose some inches from my lower body.
P.s i do workout out 3 times a week: once a week full body workout
and 2 times lower body with 4kilos dumbbells

  • I did this yesterday. 5 min warmup 1 min max run 1 max light jog. Ten round. 5 min cool down. I will do this twice a week, do my cardio class once a week, upper body strength train once a week, lower body strength once a week. I will check back in one month. Thank you Amy. Wish me luck!!!

  • Can someone tell me the calorie burn? I just got a fit watch but of course there’s no option for HIIT so I put it on Run mode to track heart rate and calories burned = 40. Is that right!!??

  • Was able to determine what should be my speed on treadmill. 220-(your age) = maximum heart rate. Then he said that at least 85% of it.
    220 27 = 193 max heart rate
193 x 0.85 = 164 at least is my heart rate. I started with 6 then 7, then 8 where I discovered that that should be my speed to attain at least 85% of my max heart rate.

    30 on, 30 off

    I’m 15, 5’8 and weigh 12 stone 12 pounds

  • 10mph (speed max) with 8% incline for four rounds. I thought I was gonna throw up but I love these workouts. I needed more challenge though.

  • I bought a treadmill today for QR 3000..And as a complete beginner,I did it at a speed of 3.5 for 30 minutes..But the screen was not showing any calories burned..Do I need to work out more or is there any setting to be made?

  • no one can maintain a high intensity speed effectively and consistently for 30 seconds and worst, for 5 reps. There is a reason the 100m is called the 100 Meter Sprint and why they don’t call the 200m a sprint. I would suggest using a hiit zone between 10-15 seconds.

  • It would be a shame for you not to lose fat when other normal people are capable to slim down quickly with Custokebon Secrets (do a search on google).

  • Bullshit, this is my first comment on you tube..
Stop lying by saying that you are doing 12 miles which is really close to 20 km

  • Here’s a better way to do it. I’m only 14 and this is the workout I do for treadmill hiit. Basically I do 10 minutes with 30 second intervals. Warm up isn’t included btw. Warmup can be whatever you want.

So for the hiit workout I run 15km per hour for 30seconds then rest for 30 seconds until the 10 minutes is up. I lose around 5002000kj in the following hour and then it continues increasing. I use my Apple Watch series 5 and it’s honestly really easy. If I can do it so can you

  • I wanna run on the threadmill really bad but I’m so scared my calves are gonna get huge, I’m just gonna gain muscles and not lose weight and that imma lose my ass Any tips??

  • Thanx Coach. Im 34 and the maz hr i get is 145 and then im sweating, out of breath and max on my treadmill. Is that a bad thing? I generally do CrossFit so Im above average fit. Your HIiT wods is helping me inn lockdown every other day. Im going to start inc6linea now but im on say 10 (wod 5) huge high 5

  • Hey Amy,

I came across your youtube page about 2 weeks ago and because of the way you do your videos, talk and show your weight loss i made a gym membership! & Even got my husband to create one, now i have been going to the gym, on the basis of your experience! Thanks for the tips!! x

  • This works! What I do is walk for a half a mile and then run for the other half. I do this till I reach 5 miles total. I lost like five pounds a week and also, I noticed my endurance for running went up. The speeds I go between is 3.7 for a walk. And then I started at 4.7 for a run and now have moved up to 6.2 for a run.

  • HIIT is a muscle sparring cardio? Seriously? Yeah no, it’s the opposite and it has huge recovery times. You probably even burned less than 250-300 at most. Also, research shows excess post oxygen consumption or after burn would only burn less than 15% of total workout which is not much. Do LISS and Weight Train if your goal is to lose fat this is very inefficient if your goal is to lose body fat

  • Hi Amynicolaox I want to say thank you for this video!!! I know it’s a little but old (2020), however, in amidst of the covid 19 pandemic in 2020 I am trying to find the best way to shed these pounds. Now, that our gym has opened back up at 25% I find myself wanting to just run (typically about 30mins). Afterwards, I feel I need to do a work as I dont feel like I have worked out BUT I love running. So here I am searching for how to get the best out of the treadmill and thus far YOUR video has been the most direct and instructional video. So thank you sooo much for explain what level you warm up on, how long, rate you sprint at and how long, oh and explaining what HIIT is and the effects it has on the body via intermission training. Not everyone know. I appreciate you and this video June 17, 2020. stay healthy, be safe, and stay the distance!

  • I am inspired with your workout on the treadmill. It gives me motivation. However i had a c section 2 months ago and now i am left with a hanging belly. I would like to know if i start working out on the treadmill would i lose this belly pooch? Pls help me.

  • 30 pounds over weight wanna lose 20 pounds within a month. Birthday is coming up. Just trying my hardest to oust myself out of my bed to spend 1 1/2 hour in the gym. I miss fitting in my old clothes and I recently broke up with my ex that use to always call me fat but always stalk me on social media, kinda wanna lose this to rub it in his face but mostly so I can wear cute little outfits.

  • Hi! I have gained a little weight recently and I have heard sprints (HIIT) is the best way to burn fat fast! I do crossfit so we don’t have a treadmill at my box. We do have a rowing machine. I have been doing sprints on the rowing machine 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off. Will that give me results?? Or it has to be a treadmill??

  • How many times a week is it safe to do the hit workouts? And should I incorporate just regular low intensity cardio on days where I don’t do the hit workout?

  • Hi Amy.. This video describes your intervals nowmeaning after weight loss, can you tell me what speeds and amounts of times at each interval did you start out at when you first started exercising during your weight loss journey?

  • I do 1min run at 10.0 speed and 2min walk 4.5 speed about 10ish times so around 30-35mins overall including cool down timer. Should i keep this up? I feel like death doing the 1min runs but i feel so much better after, rather than just running for 10mins straight that sucks after haha

  • I want to try running sprints on the treadmill but I’m so afraid lol. I use the elliptical or arc trainer lol. I usually walk around 3.2-3.3. But i alternate my incline anywhere from 10-15 on and off. All the way to 15 for a few minutes and back dowm and just play with the speed and incline. I’ve just recently started going again so I’m trying to build my endurance, but I would love to get to a point where I’m running sprints on the treadmill.

  • I lost my weight fast doing this exercise then I stopped and started doing other exercises for a while which wasn’t working for me so I’m back to doing this again and its definitely hands down the best exercise for weight loss

  • I’ve ran 10 miles a day at about 5- 5:30 a mile on the treadmill but I don’t think the results on the treadmill are the same as in real ground. I’m not seeing they big results

  • I shouldn’t done this i did it on speed 10 no more level after that.
After 1 week my chest started pains on mid mostly sometimes left and right. Pains at night always.

I completed all sets I think maybe I didn’t drink water enough

  • Hey there. How long did this journey take you overall?:)
Im pretty skinny everywhere, but im desperately trying to lose belly fat… 4 inches of it ): so far im on my 4th week doing HIIT 3x w/ strength training 2x..

  • I only burned 100 calories with this workout. Sorry to break it to you, but this workout is for people who want their results fast with minimal effort. If it were easy and effective, everyone would be doing it. This workout is easy but not effective.

  • I’m the total opposite. I noticed my joints hurt when I run on an incline but feel nothing when I run on a flat surface…so except I’m cooling down by walking, my treadmill incline is always on 0.0.

  • I am just starting into HIIT workouts. I have done both your 15 & 20 minute HIIT treadmill workouts, both are great. The on thing I can’t seem todo is to increase my speed. I Spyro fractured my right leg a few years ago and really cannot run. How can I go about getting any more intense workout without increasing the speed 6 miles an hour? Or could you do a video using walking speed and incline. Thanks

  • Does this help with belly fat? That’s the only place I really have fat since having a baby. I’m skinny with a little pudge. I eat clean also I just need my belly back flat

  • I did this last night for the first time! Set the treadmill for 30 min. I walked 5 min @ 3.0, then did 2 min light jog @ 4.5 back down to 3.0 for 3 min….. then kicked it up to 7.5 for 30 sec walk @ 3.0 for 1 min.. did that 13X till it was about 5 min left and walked @ 3.0!! I was sweating and today I’m sore.. lol gonna do this 3X a week(Sun, Mo’n and Wed) Also I’m I.F. So I’m ready to see these results! Lol

  • Hey girl, for the past few years I haven’t been active much at all. I am now trying to get back in shape. I’ve tried your workout several different times and each time I do, I have to stop. My knees hurt so bad when they hit the treadmill, the pain is practically unbearable. I have tried wearing knee braces but it doesn’t help. Any suggestions? I’d really appreciate it! Love you and your videos

  • Hey, thx for the video..!! I just got a treadmill home today and I wanna reduce weight and belly fat. how should I start its been a long time! kindly suggest

  • Started doing This today instead of running for 1 hr, I did 9 incline and 14 speed I’m just used to the treadmill, it was very fun and I wanted to puke haha

  • I can always rely on high intensity incline sprinting when I gain extra lbs and need to shed them fast. It’s crazy, every single thing he said I believe strongly too. Nothing can take you to that point of complete exhaustion as high intensity short intervals sprints! It clears my mind, burns my aggression and just strengthens me inside and out. It’s truly amazing! My goal is to sprint incline 15 speed 16. So far my best was 15incline 13speed and incline10 speed 15. You have to be consistent with increasing your speeds but take it slow. I do heavy weights in between my sprints.

  • i am doing a hill walk for 2 minutes incline….. then a run at 7 incline at speed 6.5 for 30 minutes… its working very well. i might try this….

  • Longer time running has much more health benefits: your blood is pumped to your entire body including your brain for longer time… 45 minutes at 6 MPH. And incline 3 can protect your knees! Interval running is good if you are training for combat sport.

  • This isn’t the proper way, which is why he feels like he is going to throw up. You must allow you body to fully recover from the HIIT before you go back into it. His rest period is too short. !

  • I have a question… how the hell these mofos run at 12mph and look so…. chill. My tongue will be hanging out and my treadmill will be making a ton of noise. THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD as I run. WTF. I wanna know how trainers run.

  • How many times a week should you do something this intense? I do 3 days of weights and 3 of cardio now, would doing this those 3 days be too much?

  • Great video; thanks! I just added HIIT to my treadmill walking. Because I have severe osteoporosis (which is currently under aggressive treatment), doc’s orders are no running, indefinitely. Re: HIIT, the fastest I’m able to walk on the treadmill is 4 mph, which I do for 30 seconds, and then I rest for 2 minutes. Will doing HIIT this way without sprinting and with that longer rest still help me burn fat? If not, what changes would you suggest I make to my HIIT technique that will help me burn fat, taking my current physical limitations into account?

  • I started this today but with 30 seconds rest. I’m going to do it every two days for a month and possibly more. I’ll keep you updated on the progress.

  • Yes, I think you definitely should have mentioned something about getting on and off safely. I’ve seen a lot of birds, planes, no it’s someone new to treadmill HIIT! But it does work! I just watch the time and every point of a mile I increase the speed then decrease it. It is a great workout!

  • I do 10 speed 10 incline. For a minute. And then I do 4 speed and about 3 incline walking for a minute. Repeat 5 times and then I feel like I’m going to pass OUT. But it feels good afterwards.

  • My heart stared raising just watching you on the treadmill. Fastest I’ve gone on the treadmill is 7 speed. There’s no way I can go 12!

  • Im here after 4 months
In the biginning i couldnt do it with incline but now
im still doing THIS exercise, now with 10 rounds with 9 incline, i have lost 22,05 Ibs in 4 months! I Mean i hav done other exercise, but THIS is the one i have done 90 % of the time!

Good luck Guys! If I can do it, YOU can do it
