  • I have been jumping rope for about 2 months. I decided to do this because I lost my mom the last year and I am mentally sad. So, I woke up one day and I promised me to do something to help me.

    My routine: 20 sets of 30 seconds jumps 10 seconds rest each one’s.

    The results: Besides the great benefits on my overall health and spirit, I have lost 5 Kgs = 11 pounds in total. I am more active now and, I am dealing in a positive way to drive my lost.

  • Each day I jump rope for twenty 30-second intervals six days a week just to prepare for these twelve 2-minute intervals on Sunday morning. This is an amazing workout and I get happy after I get through the burpees. Lol

  • Wow! I just tried this and it’s awesome! Sweating buckets as I’m only 6 weeks into jump roping. I managed to keep up and it’s the longest time I’ve done! I was doing 15 mins before and thought I would struggle with this. The recovery time does help a lot!

  • Today was my first attepmy attempt at doing this video.It looked hella easy but the forward straddle i didnt know how to do so i had go look up a video on it..its by far the hardest one for me to do and i cant go full 30 sec without tangling lol.I took about a 5 mins break after round 3 cause i was tired and felt like my heart rate wasn’t decreaseing in the 1 min break.By round 5 i was weak and felt like i couldnt jump anymore wasnt making the 30 sec in any.Im proud i reached to the end tho.

    Please try jumping rope along with the chloe tings Shred or abs challenge.
    I’m currently doing 45mins(3,500jumps) of jumping rope daily as warm up before doing the chloe ting’s abs challenge along with the 20/4 IF.
    The results are amazing and I’m only on day 6.
    PS: I’ve always loved jumping rope and did it for fun.
    I only started doing it as a form of workout this year.

  • I know some people love to do crossovers, double unders, single leg hops, etc..But I’ve had great success just keeping it simple.

    I’ll do normal single unders at a fast pace (250 per min) for 4 min, rest a min, and repeat as many rounds as I can until I tap out.

    I’ve never cared about being a jump rope master or doing cool tricks/routines. Only concerns are calorie burn and building endurance.

  • Your rope is too long. That’s why you’re having trouble with your form and aren’t able to single jump. Also you shouldn’t jump no more than 2 inches from the ground.

  • I’m a beginner (started this week) but one thing I noticed was I feel way more motivated when I count my jumps and do 100 jumps ten times (10 sets) rather than when I use a timer and do 20 mins. I feel like time just doesn’t pass when I’m watching the clock, I want to give up around 10 mins and just feel exhausted. But when I count my jumps and do 10 sets of 100 jumps it takes me around 45 mins total but somehow it feels easier and I actually enjoy it

  • I want to comment to say thanks to this video owner. I do this video, twice a day for 3 weeks. (Sometimes, tired so I cheat by do only 20s instead 30s one time. Sometimes, bored so I skip.) Plus my diet: less rice, eat pumpkin and sweet potato, eat some meat, fish, veg. Now I lost 2,5 kgs = 5,5 pounds. I will continue and update my progress here. (16Aug20). Thank a ton.

    Day 1jun 20: only did about 11 min, workout 10min ab vid too! this is already improving my posture!!
    Day 2jun 21: today i’m only doing 17:36, also did 10min ab vid with a couple min of lifting weights.
    Day 3 jun22: hell yeah! completed the full thing today! really love sweating haha, also completed 10min ab workout and couple min of lifting!! feeling great:)) i started off a little exhausted but nope pushed through it hehehe
    Day4 jun23: finished all 28min letsgoooo. later in the day yesterday did like 2 ab workouts and a stretch workout. Think that should be good enough:)) in total maybe like around 50min of exercise. Feeling good. Got better at jumping! Now it’s just all about the mind hahah. Also not seeing improvement physically yet but I’ll get there!!
    Day5 jun24: today i started with a 30min all body workout. That turned out to be a greatttt warm up. Sweated a bit but after finishing this today all the vid I’m sweating even more shhjs love it!! I can say today i’m very proud cuz i did them back to back and seriously feel happy about it!! letsgoooo! I really want to be healthier and strive to having abs. let’s keep going! also woke up a bit sick today thought I should rest but I’d feel guilty so nope! edit: added a 45 min workout today.
    Day 6 jun 25: rest day
    Day7 jun26: rest day
    Day 8 jun27: tried jump roping today but body too sore and unmotivated to jump however i did a HIIT 30min all body workout much better and should be back on the grind after resting!!
    Day 9 jun28: finished 30min jumping today!! rested fro two days to recover:)) at first I felt a little guilty for stopping but it’s okay now becaue now i know I really needed that break for my body to recover. Right now i’m about to do a 30min HIIT all body workout. update when i finish with that. Also I’m glad to be a little be recuperated now i’m back to work yuppp! edit: i did finish the 30min workout so total 1hr workout

  • I really love your video!! It’s amazing to see the little changes that happened:) I just had a question and this is open for anyone too but I am a bit overweight and on the muscular side. I have been jump roping 1000 times for the past 10 days now and I can definitely see my arms being more defined and my waist seems to have shrunken, however, I am discouraged because I have not lost that much weight even with a planned diet. I am afraid jump roping will only make me more muscular rather than leaner but I hope that is not the case because I really enjoy jumping over other exercises:'(

  • Is jumping rope plus bodyweight enough to cut fat? I have taken an off from weight training for few weeks. Of course with diet on point! I wonder if I will lose strength without weight training!

  • I don’t mean to demotivate anyone, but two weeks of jump rope is not going to change your life and make you defined and shit, I’m saying this only because people expect fat loss and definition to happen much sooner than it actually does, it takes time, keep at it!     I bought my rope today, did a try out today and from tomorrow I will officially track my progress.

  • When I first jumped rope a few years ago I remember that my calves got really big for about 2-3 weeks but then got really slim and toned after that. So I would say that what you gained was water weight that will shred soon if you continue and will reveal toner muscles underneath.

  • I’ll be sharing my jump rope journey here (14 day) and hopefully I remember to update everyday. I can’t be bothered measuring parts of my body, but I’ll take note of how my stamina/endurance improves, and visible changes in my body.

    Background information that might be helpful (can skip if you want):
    I would consider my upper part of my body fairly skinny, however, I have a little bit of fat on my stomach
    My lower body is quite “meaty” lmao, I have huge thighs (NO thigh gap) and people have told me my legs look muscular
    Unfortunately, my fitness levels aren’t great at all because I BARELY exercise (I’m super lazy) and get out of breath from running up the stairs (please don’t judge). I’m unfit.
    My diet is quite unhealthy but lately I’ve been trying to fix it, the amount I eat depends on my mood/the food.
    My jump rope skills are quite good, I’m still young so I remember a few tricks:)

    Jump rope journey:
    Attempting to cut out the amount of food I have (avoiding having snacks and eating more fruits and vegetables [this will be SUPER HARD for me])
    Drinking 2L of water everyday
    Using weighted ropes (200g weight on each handle)

    The link above is what I follow to stretch BEFORE and AFTER jumping rope. I also do a few back stretches (because my posture is bad I have lower back pain), calf stretches, x20 squats and x10 lunges.

    Advice (Things I have learnt):
    Do not exercise after you eat (I often exercise two hours after) or you will get a horrible stitch like me which is not fun when you’re exercising.
    If you are a beginner like me who has not exercised in a long time, DO NOT PUSH YOURSELF TOO MUCH. I overestimated by body and did x30 sets and experienced HORRIBLE stomach pains the day after that lasted for three days which prevented me from continuing
    Listen to your body. Do not overwork yourself too much. Muscle soreness can be a good sign, but joint pain is not good. It’s ok to take a break.

    Day 1:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x15 sets
    Found it super difficult, I was out of breath on the 3rd set lmao and kinda cheated (staying in one position opposed to skipping) because I was so tired:((

    Day 2:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x15 sets
    I woke up and my muscles weren’t sore or anything, I felt amazing. Day 2 felt the same as Day 1.

    Day 3:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x15 sets
    I woke up with my left calf pretty sore, but besides that everything else was ok. I felt so much stronger already on Day 3 (being very honest), I lasted much longer (was able to get through the exercise without cheating at all and jump roping properly except for 2 sets:p)

    Day 4:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x15 sets
    I think my body is become used to it, I woke up with no aching today. Day 4 was easier than Day 1 and 2, but more difficult than Day 3. Maybe I had more energy on Day 3..but overall, I got through it quickly with a break at the x10 set mark.:))

    Day 5:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x15 sets
    My right shoulder was aching when I woke up. I found today fairly easy and I didn’t sweat as much. I don’t know if I have improved for the past few days as I got pretty tired quickly, however I challenged myself by doing it intensely so that might be the reason why. No visible changes in my body, I haven’t been doing well in terms of fixing my diet.:((

    Day 6:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x18 sets
    My right shoulder still aches but besides that the rest of my body is doing well. I had a busy day today, so I was already tired when I started jump roping today, however I increased the sets by x3 (6 minutes total jump roping). I really do feel as if my stamina has improved so much since the beginning as even when I was constantly jumping intensely, I wasn’t so exhausted nor sweat as much. I honestly feel like I can do so many more sets but I’m scared that of muscle soreness that’ll prevent me from continuing:(. I took an extra 30 second break on the x11 set mark. If you’re starting this journey DO NOT GIVE UP!!! At first I thought it’d take forever for my stamina to improve but I can already notice a difference yayyyy:D

    Day 7:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x21 sets
    Increased by x3 sets, My right shoulder still aches:((. Lol i was really planning on skipping a day because I had a super busy day and felt tired, but i didn’t want to disappoint you guys lmao. I got through it smoothly, took a 1min break at the 11min mark. When I first tried jump roping, I tried 30 sets and I definitely feel as if even though I did 21 sets today, I still managed to stay consistent with the number of jumps I did and lasted much longer so definitely an improvement. No visible changes, but i dont expect it because im only skipping for 7mins lol. Keep going guys!

    Day 8:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x24 sets
    Also felt super tired today, my right shoulder ache was gone when I woke up so i’m guessing my body is slowly getting used to it. Increased set by x3, and i sweated a little towards the 20th set i think. My feet kind of hurt which is unusual, and my left calf has a little soreness after jump roping. No changes in my body, I haven’t been successful at fixing my diet whoops but once I build up to 15mins total jump roping I guess i’ll be more motivated to change my diet lmao.

    Day 9:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x27 sets
    My body didn’t ache at all when i woke up which was pretty surprising lmao. Increased by x3 sets (9 mins in total). Just finished jump roping and my feet ache�� but I’m super proud of myself that i pushed through when I felt like giving up at the 21st set:))) My stamina has definitely improved, tomorrow I might do 9 mins again or increase to 10 depending if my body aches or not:). Once again, no visible changes in body

    Day 10:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x30 sets
    My body didn’t ache when I woke up and I increased it by x3 sets. Tbh I struggled alot today, I got tired fast, I’m not sure why but maybe it was because I had pizza for lunch and I find that having unhealthy foods make my energy burn alot faster. I took two breaks, one at the x15 set mark and x27 set mark. I went very intense and fast, I sweat alot lmaoo. Before I began day one I actually did x30 sets and got a really horrible ache that lasted for three days, and If i recall correctly it took me 22mins in total to get through it. Now, on day 10, it took me 17mins to get through it which I’m so proud of!!!!:DDD Hopefully I don’t get a cramp tomorrow, I’m pretty scared rip.

    Day 11:
    Basic jumps
    20 secs on
    10 secs off
    x30 sets
    My mindset wasn’t the best today, I’ve been struggling mentally and that affected my performance today. I decided to keep it at x30 sets today because I want to make my body accustomed to it before I push myself any further (I’ll probably stay at x30 sets for the next few days), It took me 19mins which was worse than yesterday, I guess that shows how mood can effect energy:(. I felt super tired early, I kinda cheated in a few sets (stayed in one spot), I took one break at the halfway mark. However my body doesn’t ache after jump roping like it did yesterday (maybe because I didn’t try so hard or my body is getting used to it).

  • I’ve been jumping rope for quite a long time now and I would like to say that for beginners this could be enough but by the looks of your body I could see that you already workout
    What I’m trying to say is that you could’ve done a lot more but just due to the thought that you’re just starting it and all didn’t make you push your limits
    To get a worthy effect, you should’ve jumped way more than you did
    But I’m just judging by what I’m seeing obviously I don’t know anything about you at all
    Would love to see another video where you’d actually push your limits to another level❤️

  • When I started jumping rope, I could do around 700 skips at a time (around 100 or 200 continuously, then a break). Then one day, I decided to challenge myself and did 1000.. Then the next day I did 2000.. I took a day’s break and then the next time I did 3000… (5 times jumping 200 skips and 20 times jumping 100 skips)..thats my maximum till now and would take me around 50 mins..
    I just wanna say that jumping rope really helped me get in shape and helped in increasing my stamina… I really hope it wasn’t that underrated..

  • I’m really lazy to workout..I only do 1000 jump ropes in the morning… That’s it!! As gyms are closed I haven’t worked out for four months…I don’t know would that b enough or not

  • Hi Ladies and Gentlemen, note Muscle weights more than fat, you may never actually lose weight (my point is: Fat can take up more space and weight the same as muscle, but muscle takes up lesser space in your body and can cause you to gain weight but know it allows you to be healthy)( also on this note, Not everyones results are going to be the same as anothers, don’t compare yourself, don’t weight yourself because it does nothing for your mentality)

    Where there is a Workout there is also the Nutritional requirements along side, fitness and nutrition work together well. (Got body goals, do it the right way first time around)
