This research has shaken many researchers around the world and many different research have been done in order to test it, with bigger samples, until in 2017 the topic has been thouroughly summed up.   • I love speaking in public but that doesn’t mean I don’t get ‘stage freight’ before coming on. I believe you hit here with your recommendations, five recommendations. The idea is to go one on one with someone in the audience that you can see is with you. NEVER look at the cynical twit who is there just to take you down. Never even look at these ‘pursed lipped folks’ until the end once you have crushed it to then speak to them in some compassionate way saying, ‘so you understand what I wished to present you, great’ and then keep moving with your eyes over the crowd until you find those who are with you. The other trick is to be extremely well prepared in order to have the confidence that says: “I have something fantastic to share with you this evening and I’ve been excited for months getting this together for you. So settle in, buckle your seat belts and listen up because I am taking you on a journey to a place you’ve never been before.” And remember to be yourself because authenticity counts more than anything else. Folks out in the audience can spot a faker in about two point eight seconds. Be true to yourself and your subject, don’t pretend because that means you will come off pretentious. Best of all have a great time since most speakers who are having a great time speaking are also really truly funny, and humor is always important on matter what.   • If in ur case everyone’s doing a speech or in front of ur class remember
    -When u get up there and start talking for a bit it won’t be as bad
    -Everyone’s thinking about themselves so they won’t judge you
    -Everyone’s nervous as well
    -If you mess up keep going because it’s only just one part of your speech
    -you will forget all about it in a couple months or so and everyone else will aswell (bc think of the last time u had a presentation no one really cared and no one really remembers)

  • This clip is worth showing to high school students. They will be venturing into college admissions offices and eventually professional interviews. A small, but powerful “presence” make over could be the difference

  • The less you know about a subject or the less familiar a situation or topic is the less confident you will be. Only exposing yourself to new situations and studying and/or practicing a certain topic will make you less stresem and more confident in that situation and in general. In the real world you cannot fake knowladge and experiance. If you have the knowladge but lack the experiance you just have to try and fail until you get confident. Negotiations are a great exercise for people who want to become more confident.

  • Guys, imo the best way to get those 6pack is discipline into your foods. I have been training for a month rn and i already can see my 6pack but they arent toned and defined yet. So for me eating good foods is key then moderate ab trainings. I train my abs for 3x a week 2 rounds a day.

  • One thing I do is look in a mirror before a talk, look at my face, and think how silly I am to be terrified. I might even make a silly face so I don’t take myself so seriously. If I can laugh at myself it helps me put things in perspective. Still nervous but not the end of the world.

Knowledge based assessment is minimal in current setup. Show your confidence and communication skills to your examiners. Otherwise u ll consider as failure

  • Would most of this advice be effective for women too? I already eat quite a deficit and have recently taken up aerobic training and full body weight training. I’m borderline overweight, but with a larger frame than average and small but slightly flabby waist.

  • Thanks man. I have also found that while doing a calorie deficit with nutritionally rich foods making sure you hit all the food groups on top of training will help a lot. I went from 220lbs and fat to 165lbs and decently good looking in about 6 months. However I am now working on gaining lean body mass and cutting my abs. I have done a little research along with learning a lot about nutrition and anatomy. I find that it’s easier to cut fat when you make sure train every muscle in your core (there are quite a few trainable muscles) and do light cardio between sets such as jumping jacks.

  • but im skinny in every other part of my body I cant afford to lose any more weight I’m 80 pounds 13 years old, the only part of my body covered in fat is my stomach, I exercise for 2 hours every day and I eat mostly fruit and vegetables along with healthy carbohydrates like brown rice and lentils, yet I still cant see my abs, I am trying so hard but nothing is working, I was 130 pounds and then I starved myself for a year to get to 80, I sometimes feel as if I will never get abs no matter how hard I try.

The guy whistling and walking confidently in the graveyard may impress some women but men are able to see real clues, the look in the eye. Also, in some cultures you are expected to be polite and respectful that makes you look weak when you are not. And some “confident” body language is downright offensive depending on where you are.

  • I love to speak front of people or croud, my largest meeting was above 200 people. My secret if I have to speak front of a croud I do the same way as if I was in a ski competition (relax, get in my bubble, focus at the end of the croud, I am here to win & have fun).

  • Laugh before presentation. I found that talking with friends, and laughing right before you public speak, makes you more excited rather than nervous.

  • I used to try to memorize everything I was going to say in perfect order. That alone made me nervous. Now I make my presentation into a story in my mind and just tell it. Its much easier to remember that way.

  • This was much appreciated. I think the one tip that I would add is in my case I’m always nervous I’m going to be asked a question by my colleagues that I have no idea what the answer is. You have to remind yourself that it’s okay to not know and to tell them you will look into it and reach out to them later. And the second tip is this, if you work in a large corporate environment how many meetings or presentations have you gone to where you don’t listen to a damn thing the presenter says. Sometimes I think most people are doing that and it kind of helps relax
