The 30-Minute Bodyweight Workout: Playground Edition LOWER BODY. If a playground has monkey bars or a slide, it’s gotta have a ladder, too. Stand behind it with arms holding CARDIO. More into running like the wind than pumping iron? Increase speed with some quick hill runs.

Find a steeper spot. “There is so much we can do with just bodyweight when you use just a little creativity and think like a kid,” Scott writes in an Instagram post showing off his favorite playground moves. It’s time to channel that inner child for a workout that will be just as fun as your days at recess—and not just because you’ll be working out the playground. This full-body, 30-minute workout will challenge every major muscle group while reminding you how much fun it is to be a kid again. The Ultimate Bodyweight WorkoutNo Equipment Needed!

Why Playground Workouts Can Be a Parent’s Best Fitness Friend Girls Gone Strong. Initially, working out in the playground came from necessity. I was balancing work, parenting, marriage, the grind of.

The next exercise within the 30 minute bodyweight challenge is inverted rows for 10 repetitions. Place your hands within an overhand grip at slightly wider than shoulder width apart and row your chest around the bar. After this exercise, you’ll proceed to a one-leg deadlift exercise. If you’re after strength, cardio fitness and mobility, not to mention the plethora of health benefits that come with a good sweat sesh, a 30-minute workout is more than enough. Hi, Friends. Welcome to the latest edition of Workout Wednesday. This week I put together a workout that is great for runners who want to squeeze in some strength training but don’t have a lot of time. This is a perfect workout for after your run on.

This high-intensity bodyweight workout is a simple, effective way to work your whole body—without any machinery or extra equipment. From heart-pumping jump tucks to core-blasting mountain climber. High-intensity interval training is such a great way to improve your conditioning levels, as well as help change your body composition.

It’s also a great way to switch it up from running on the treadmill, or stepping on the stairmaster at the same speed, for a long period of time (steady-state cardio).

These workouts took considerably less time, and I appreciated the improved muscle tone and increased strength I felt.

  • Oh my god thank you so much! I was working out with another channel which was great but after months it started t feel too easy. Now I found you guys and you really kicked my butt you’ll definitely be seeing me often from now on

  • So boring! Too many repetitions of the same exercises! Each circuit (or every other one) should incorporate some new exercises to truely engage the entire body!

  • Guys I missed this one, because last night you didn’t mention what day the exercise will take place, you just said 10:30 AM. And you didn’t add youtube reminder

  • Great workout!!! Love tabata style!!! After 30 hours at work, this workout was a blessing, altough i thought i would not be able to do this, but it’s enough to show up here…❤

  • Hi #TeamSELF! Hope you enjoy this week’s workout! You don’t need any equipment, so you’ve got no excuses. Give this one a shot and let me know how it goes!  ✌️

  • This was a great starter workout for me, someone who doesn’t like to feel the burn, be out of breathe and gets discouraged easily while exercising. Thank you!

  • Just wow..m trying this level 5 but couldn’t finish after 18 mins….is it ok for women..m 38 yrs old..height 5 feet, weight 48kg…plz suggest..m fan of yours work out…

  • Such a great workout to do at home when you can’t get to the gym or aren’t feeling a super intense workout. Can make it through the whole thing but definitely feel it the next day!

  • Uwielbiam Twoje treningi:) U nas tabaty z ciężarkami nie ma ale są interwały, więc może też co ś zaproponujesz:)Pozdrowienia z Polski

  • Great workout! I loved the use of (relatively) simple movements that really allowed me to focus on keeping good form and using the target muscles. I got pretty sore and sweaty, so I know it worked!

  • Done this set. Honestly, you’re a beast. Your pace and and each clean move you do, I can’t keep up. not even close. Amazing video!

  • wow, thanks, I got lots of exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x 1000000000000000000000000000000000

  • I knew it! CONGRATULATIONS AMY!!!! I could see a little baby bump and you look radiant =) again, CONGRATS!! BTW, being able to do a workout like that, woow! I was tired like hell and I train every day (without mentioning it, I’m not even pregnant) Thanks for your excellent videos =)

  • GREAT STUFF!! Definitely doing this type of style today right at the comfort of my home! Thank you! Head over to our channel and check out our food tutorials they are all under 5 minutes and macro friendly!! keep inspiring

  • Completed this workout for the first time today in “beginner mode”. Kicked my butt and I’m going to be so sore, but in the “it’s worth it” kind of way. Thanks for posting; was just what I needed.

  • All 250+ lbs of me finished this. I almost stopped multiple times in this video but I kept pushing myself. I am teary eyed just thinking about how hard these simple workouts are for me but I plan on doing this video almost daily until I don’t have to do the modified versions.
I had an extremely difficult time doing the planks so I did crunches instead during the last set.
    Thank you Amy.

  • I have been doing this video twice a week for the last 3 weeks and can still barely make it through the entire workout! I don’t feel as sore after doing it, but what a great whole body workout! Do you have other videos at a similar intensity and style? I really have enjoyed your approach better than most I’ve seen. Got quite a few inches to shave off my midsection, so I appreciate any help!:) Thanks!

  • I love your workout I’m a huge fan off your channel you are really the best
you helping me in this Quarantine to lose weight Thank you aloooot
    Don’t forget level 6 please ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️

  • Is this workout good to gain some muscle? I don’t expect the same results as from lifting weights with low reps, just to get stronger and develop a healthy, nice physique. With proper diet, of course.

  • I didn’t want to work out today because my muscles felt sore from yesterday but at the same time I wanted to work out. I thought I was going to half ass this but I didn’t! I gave it my all! I went all out with the sprints! I was able to hold certain moves for longer which shows my core is getting so much stronger!! Your messages at the end makes it all worth it!

  • Amy, this is my first workout in at least 2 years. Thank you that you gave instructions for the basic to the advanced exercises. I am so out of shape but my goal is to take one day at a time and fit in exercising. I will definitely be checking out your other videos!

  • Very useful VDO clip. I like your 30-minute body workout (Level 5) clip. If you can have any other different body work out exercise, please kindly share. Thank you very much

  • I stumbled upon your videos last night and figured I could use a good cardio workout this morning. after about 8 months in the gym I figured I could ace it, but this was quite challenging. Had me working up a good sweat. Thanks!

  • #LOVEThisLongenduranceworkout #TrainingEndurance #BigSupporttoJordan Hey Jordan, I absolutely loveee this 30min workout, and your other Level4-5 workouts that lasting for longer than 20minutes! Because these workouts are really training my stamina and cardio-respiratory endurance!!! Respect all your hardworkout fitness videos!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks so much, Amy! Hard work fit into a short period of time! I’m really feeling and seeing the results. I feel high all day, afterwards.

  • “COVID-19 Pandemic” you meant he widespread release of 5g technology? History will remember you for this. https://www.takebackyourpower.net/surveillance-5g-fast-tracked-under-coronavirus-pretext/

  • Love that you give beginner modifications! I am used to changing things to my own pace but sometimes can’t think of how to modify. Thank you!!

  • 4 ROUND´S DURISIMOS, PERO CON UNA TRAINER ASÍ, NO EXISTE EL CANSANCIO AL CONTRARIO NOS QUEDA EL TIEMPO MUY CORTO DE ENTRENAMIENTO, JAJAJA, FELICITACIONES

  • I needed a change, i was doing leslie sansone walk at home videos, and though they are great! my body wasn’t responding to those workouts anymore. I found this video and I sweat so much and had so much fun doing this workout. I am definitely subscribing. Thanks So much for this, keeping me engaged and motivated. the time flew by.

  • hi jordan, thank you some much for your Videos. they are all so great. i have lost 16 kg in 4 months only by doing your level 4 and level 5 workouts 4 times a week. thank you so much

  • Awesome workout for those days when your energy is a little lacking and you are short on time! Happy it was fairly easy for me to get through but left me feeling like I had done something at the end!

  • Another outstanding vid, Amy. I look forward to those times when you get tired too and I get to hear your ‘I’m tired’ steccato laugh. Thank you for all you do!

  • I thought all of Jordan’s workouts involved enough burpees already and then he comes forward with Single Leg Burpees. Love your workouts, Jordan. I’m a big fan.

  • This is by far one of the most gruelling workouts put together by Jordan! I’m sweating bucket loads! Big up once again jordan!

  • This was indeed a full bodyweight blast, Amy! Woo Hoo! This was just what I needed for today’s workout! It’s always a good time working out with you, Amy! XO-S

  • Am from india u helped me sho much in lockdawn Thank you sho much u r best in home workout like a pro its better then gym. But u do

  • Sir i now feel comfortable doing it. Can you please upload level 6.i have already tried adding some more explosive on this exercises like one hand one leg burpes need more explosive sir

  • Im sorry, I realised this level was not for me after 1st round itself. But I tried to do it till the end out of respect…. Now I’m dead, can’t feel my legs

  • I just have to say as an overweight teen, this is the first workout I’ve found that I’ve actually enjoyed doing, so thank you!, I’ll be doing this at least 3 days a week from now on!

  • Hi Amy, how far along were you in this video? I was pretty active before finding out I was pregnant but had to stop due to HG. Feeling slightly better now. Hoping to ease back into a workout routine in the 2nd trimester and wondering where to start. Would this be too much? Thanks!

  • Hi Sir biggest fan from (india)
    ❣️♥️❤️

     Love Bear Sir
    {But i don’t know english}
    (लेकिन मुझे इंग्लिश नहीं आता )

  • I love this workout! It’s simple but has various levels that I can push myself to, so I have options! Thank you, Amy for this video!:D

  • Awsome workout! I lost 5 kg within 5 weeks, with a proper diet, of course. Don’t want to loose weight too fast, 1 kg/week it good enough for me, faster than that I think you can also loose muscle mass

  • With this day I made your workouts over three weeks daily Only because your workouts are full of variety, power and motivation ❤️ You are such a great person I’m proud of myself and I’m stronger than before I crushed it!

  • Best ever workout I’ve seen
It is close to HIIT training
First it seemed. Like my regular workout but the last 2 rounds were like
    Me:that’s enuf for 2day

  • I’m definitely no beginner to fitness but man this kicked my butt! I had to do some beginner modifications occasionally and I’m SWEATING.

  • Anyone else just got so tired after that workout they couldn’t even move and just laid on the floor instead of going through with the cool down bc same

  • Plank Reach out is a workout I never thought gonna be so tough for me! I find it’s tougher than burpees and any squat variety. Goes to show just how weak my upper body & core is

  • Kind of the heaviest workout. Until the chipper.. been out for a glass of water. When I came back I saw that we’re not finally done. I was like OMG, how could I handle that 4 mins more to go.. but I did it somehow. Thank you guys!,

  • Only because I don’t know where else to ask regular people about this, but what, if any, chest exercises are okay to do after breast implants that won’t mess up the implants?  Any suggestions for other resources to answer this question would be greatly appreciated.

  • Funny facts 1)I meant to do the 55 minutes workouts from Friday 7/28 but I realized I did this one! It was perfect. 2) I was ready for another set of butter kick flats at the end when the cool down started. 3) This is the best channel that does an actual TABATA at the end. I love it and I used to do it at the gym. Now I enjoy it at home. Thanks for your hard work dear

  • I really liked the chipper. Your personalities are really encouraging. You are obviously really a great team! I think there was a bit of a rigidity on the exercises (I got pretty bored doing the same things 4 times), and too much slack on the descriptions “do what’s right for you…” I wonder about trying it the other way around more variation in the exercises, and really clear boot camp like instructions. I think we all know a workout is tiring, so I’d rather hear “Push it! You can do it! No quitting!” than “I know you’re tired now…” Hope that makes sense! People who are drawn to the word “bootcamp” in your title are the type looking for something intense and “warrior” like:)

  • Fantastic workout….what I like about SELF workouts is they have warm-up and cool down session built in….please keep making these videos..m

  • I have tried many exercises. This is the one worked for me.. doing regularly…results are clearly visible even after doing for 7 days only

  • i nearly dead only in first ten minutes so i stopped. i wish i can finish this. i want to lose 10 kg for my graduation in 2 months. is that possible?

  • Loved the 30 min, wasn’t going to workout today but knew I could push myself for 30 min.. so glad I did!! Thank you Sydney for these amazing workouts and motivation

  • Dear Jordan, during the Corona Times I discovered your video workouts and I have to say: PERFECT
Closed gyms… me, doing your workouts. I gained a LOT of strenght and definition. And I am a sporty person for my whole life.
    Thank you from Germany

  • Love this workout. At the beggining I was not able to follow, today finally I finished the whole workout with them!! Please upload more!

  • I loved this workout! Stopped training for 8-9 months and have gained weight. I was skeptical about coming back to workout because I felt that I would be disappointed with me seeing that my body isn’t as strong as before but! this workout started beginner style and prepped me for 2nd and 3rd rounds! Thank you!

  • hiii I absolutely love your workouts so much. I do have a request. I have a bad knee from acl/ meniscus injuries. Your workouts tend to have a lot of high impact side to side movement. I love high impact workouts but I am having trouble finding workouts that I can do with my knee problem. Can you put together a workout that is still high impact but is do-able for someone with a bad knee like myself?

  • Its a good home workout but I wouldn’t advertise that it burns 400 calories. I wore my heart rate monitor and it shows that I only burned 250 calories.

  • I love that you teach your classes but you take the time to film exercise videos for those of us who might not be able to make it to the gym.

  • Loved this workout….. great to mix up cardio with abs because it reinforces using your core for everything. I’m a fitness instructor and on vacation but have been doing your workouts almost everyday…. Keep it up!

  • I came across your videos by mistake really n geez never hv I loved n hated someone at the same time. I thought I was working out but after your video I learnt I was doing nothing… everything hurts parts of my body that shouldn’t… the only problem I hv is your exercises are not meant for extremely unhealthy or overweight people… anyway I’m humbly going back to my level 3 for now.. just watching what lays ahead of me

  • Crushes it! I been slacking but it feels good to be back. I had already lost 10 pounds but its really hard sometimes to motivate myself. Thank you for those words it really does help. I’ve been over weight all my life I am 5’2 inc and I weight 188 right know is hard to loose it.

  • ahh I had just commented on your recent video if you could do more bodyweight workouts and just noticed this one! Looking forward to doing it first thing tomorrow morning, thank you!

  • Thank you Sydney another great workout was a bit of a killer but it makes you feel good after you’re the best and I’ll see you tomorrow thank you xx

  • Sydney, I just discovered you a few weeks ago and I am hooked. I love your workouts and how accomplished and strong I feel afterwards! You are so sincere, you make it seem like you are actually speaking to me at the end of the workouts. Thank you for all your incredible work you do for us!

  • Gah! The return of mountain climbers…. I just love those….Haha! I crushed it tho and feel fab! Thanks for this awesome and quick 30 minute session. My core is on fire for sure

  • Thanks for this video. I planned on going to the gym today after work but I forgot my workout bag. I was super mad because I was really looking forward to my Monday workout. I did this instead when I got home and it was perfect.

  • Ive been sick the past couple weeks and this is the first work out ive been able to get through lately! Combined being sick and the weather is gross too its been hard to stick to working out but ive been doing it and today it finally started to feel good again!

  • thank you for a great workout for keeping it simple and not killing us. thank you for giving all the options beginners to advanced, that is so helpful. thank you for your great tips on how to do the moves correctly, so that we don’t harm ourselves but benefit from it. thanks.

  • Awesome workout, I’ve been trying lots of different stuff on YouTube, but this it’s great, the best I’ve done! Te felicito! Greetings from Santiago de Chile!

  • I had a vaccine yesterday and my arm is sore and I felt a little sick this morning but I did this and now I feel great. Just the ticket Dr. Syd.

  • Thanks for joining us for this workout guys! Let me know how you got on, and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already for more of these!

  • CONGRATS AMY:). I just read the other comments and I had no idea you were expecting. By the way I love your workouts especially the ones with the kettle bells!

  • Great workout! I am a mom of four and this no drama body weight workout is convenient and challenging. Thanks for posting! I will be checking out more of these!

  • I’ve had a really emotionally challenging past two days. I did my stretch Sunday but didn’t workout yesterday and felt very guilty. I didn’t eat well yesterday or today BUT I kicked myself into gear with this workout. I’m getting my meal prep together and getting myself out of whatever funk is trying to bring me down.

I honestly could have turned it up more this workout. I’m going to do it again tomorrow and go all out!
