NOTE: Here’s the point in the challenge where you Step It Up to Slim It Down. DAY 11: Walk for 30 minutes early in the day (try after breakfast). Walk for 30 minutes late in the day (try before dinner). DAY 12: Walk for 60 minutes anytime before dinner. DAY 13: Walk for 30 minutes early in the day.

Walk for 30 minutes later in the day. DAY 1. If you’re serious about losing weight, a simple way to use walking to slim down is to aim for burning 500 calories per day every day. One pound of fat comprises 3,500 calories, so if you walk off 500 each day you’ll lose around a pound a week. Double up your workout one day if you want to have a day off that week.

There is a catch. Work your oblique muscles to slim down the waist and whenever you walk/sit/stand or do whatever, always consciously make an effort to suck in and hold your stomach in. Do 2 cardio workouts one in.

Research suggests that if you walk for just half an hour a day, six days a week, you could lose half a pound a week – adding up to almost over a stone over the period of a year. And power walking could help you walk off even more weight. Walking briskly will speed up your metabolism, in turn helping you to drop the pounds. Walk for 20 minutes after lunch.

  • Will begin by saying that I’ve been walking with Leslie S videos for years but as I got more fit, I felt more confident walking outside. Decided to plot out her video to a 3 mile route in my neighborhood. Looks like, while walking in time with her pace music, I only walked 2.7 miles. It’s still 40 minutes of excellent cardio, but just thought I’d share that information with others.

  • I have been following you for years and had left it in between but rediscovered during this pandemic time. Really happy with it. The only question I have is that my Pedometer says I’ve done 2.6 miles. Even in other videos I never seem to be completing a full mile in spite of following you step to step. Not sure what is going on. I have to supplement your video walk with just plain on the spot walk for several minutes more to reach the target. Other than that, I am enjoying the workout.

  • We were running this morning, I didn’t realize it until afterwards but we usually do a 15 min mile and today it was a 12 minute mile. At the 2.5 mile mark I was so tired and wondering why. I guess the only solution is to do this one two days per week and do the 15 minute 3 mile 2 days per week.

I had a pretty difficult time these last few months and couldn’t stay motivated to stay active (I also work from home, at a desk) so I started walking every evening. my min goal was a 10k, but I aimed 20k if I could.   • Where I live everyone walks everywhere, doesn’t matter if it takes you 35/40 minutes walking. So for me on a daily basis I walk around 12/13000 steps a day and still can’t run for more than 100 meters ��

  • Ive been looking for a 3 mile walk i can do and i LOVE this one. I don’t have the stretchy bands so instead i just walk in place or do kicks while during that part so im still getting a workout.   • Bcs of my work i step between 1600 and 3100 steps a day ( im a waitres) and afther quarantaine and maybe 100 steps a day, i had spaghetti legs for 2 weeks and everything hurted:p it was crazy haha �� im used to it again now.

  • I have combined IF and 14000 steps a day, with the occasional 20000. My BP is normal and so far, I have lost 30lbs in 2 months. I did worked my way up to 14, because as you said, it’s not easy, but it’s doable and yes, you will get better.

  • I have gained 4 weight in quarantine and i walked Around 10 steps and did abs workout of chloe on July. I lost 2 kilos and my belly got smaller 4 cm and my other parts also got smaller but my English isn’t enough for telling it:D

  • I found that I was my skinniest and healthiest the year I had an annual Disneyland pass. We went almost every weekend of the year (in the summer we went like 2 or 3 times a week because we lived so close), and let me tell you, walking around an amusement park allll day kept me in such good shape. I started gaining weight about 2 years after high school because I wasn’t in sports anymore and college life didn’t require a lot of movement. I was constantly either sitting in bed with my laptop doing homework or sleeping off the stress. Corona virus has definitely taken away a lot of fun walking opportunities (like Disneyland lol) but there are still ways to get active even just walking around the house. I’m definitely going to get back into it.

  • I understand u but its ok to fall its ok to be sad bt what i leant is dont give up i was 96kg once and wn i started my weight loss journey i lost kgs n i hit 73kgs in about 6 months and then i lost my loved one in which i left doing everything and for about in 2 years i gained back i wish i would have not stopped but its never too late i started my journey again and now i am almost about to defit my self and i am doing this for me i wanna be strong healthy and the journey so far is superb.. growing is whats important and giving ur self time.

  • Easy hack: If you want to walk more than 15 000 steps, don’t go to walk at the park because you might feel tired and want it to end faster. Just go to shopping.

  • One of her better workouts. Leslie makes regular workouts possible. I workout with Leslie twice a day, 5 days a week. Her cueing is excellent. Great motivational talks. Leslie, we need more walking firm workouts.

  • The walking videos are great but I wished Leslie didn’t talk way too much which makes her miss her counting not to mention distraction when you are focus.
    I get this so purpose to be fun and it is fun but it’s so distracting with all the unnecessary chatter.

  • I also do this but for me I only reach mostly 10k and the maximum is 12k. After 3 months of quarantine I really need to jog I gain so much. So I wake up 4am and start walking + jogging around our city. 7 kilometers walk and jog its really helpful. And in the afternoon I try to work out. From 57.8 kilo to 51 kilo hahaha just enjoy what your doing and balance diet really help.
