  • I know this is an older video and I’m only like 5 1/2 minutes in so you might cover this, but the reason you aren’t hungry is 1) because of the volume of the water taking up space in your tum (duh) and 2) when dehydrated, our body signals to eat because it think it can get water through the food (which it can… Just not a lot). So being properly hydrated means you’re less likely to be hungry because your body isn’t shooting off signals to be like FEED ME.

    Drinking a lot of water has helped me actually realize when I’m truly hungry and I think I have a healthier relationship with food because I’m less likely to binge. If I go most of the day without drinking water and eating, when it comes to dinner, I totally think I need to eat a lot (and do) so I just feel like shit afterwards. Water helps regulate that.

  • why didn’t you address the debunked myth of 8 glasses of water a day. Science recommends drink when you are thirsty, you get most of the water you need in the foods you eat and drink. You only need to add more water based on activity. There is no standard amount for men or women because every single person has a activity level, weight and metabolism that is different and water demands vary day to day and from activity to activity. A gallon of EXTRA water a day ontop of the water you are already getting in your food is ridiculous just like 8 glasses a day. There are 128 oz of water in a gallon which equals 8 16 oz glasses. It’s the same over hydration myth. Nothing in your video addressed any of this. And you say you have a master’s degree?

  • Whenever i got my tongue split, i pretty much could not eat for a week. I drank only water, a LOT of water and i lost a lot of weight. My skin looked so much better and was super clear. Ive always had problems with my acne but i had NONE whenever i went through that. Its not that bad. And i felt so much better and ever since i experienced that my eating habits have improved a lot. You just have to stick with it. Will be hard at first because you are not use to it but when you do, you will feel so much happier.

I drink Himalayan pink sea salt but I can’t put it in my water all of the time because I can’t stand the taste ������ so I will just chug a pinch of it down with 8 oz of water.   • Cold water is not good for the intestines, nor is it good in hot weather as it causes a person to sweat profusely.

    Water should be room temperature or even warm. I tried drinking hot coffee outside in the heat and amazingly, I cooled down. Not promoting coffee as beneficial, just proof that non cold water is the proper way.

  • Not critiquing your video, just commenting my experience: I drink A LOT of water, because I work in a hot kitchen. Water is good for you and can help you in all sorts of ways, but nutrition is also a key part of losing/maintaining weight. Even though I drink water, I was still eating lots of fatty and greasy food which made me put on weight. Now that I’m moving and eating right, the amount of water I drink has helped me feel better than I expected…

  • I’ve gone from drinking at least 6 cans of coke a day to drinking 2-2.5 liters of sparkling mineral water a day. I’ve looked into whether or not sparkling water is bad for you, and hey, it’s not. But apart from dropping about a kilo in the first day or two, I’m pretty much at the same weight.   • Following unsuccessfully trying a number of different eating plans, I had almost given up. But, when I found the diet “lyly amazing guide” you could Google it Knew I had to give it a try. I lost 9 lbs in a week.

  • I think the biggest mistake going into a water fast is eating to much junk food or carbohydrates going into the fast. I would scale back the eating the 2 or 3 days going into the fast with some fresh berries, salad like spinach, cucumber, broccoli in vineger and oil. Meat like fryed chicken in reasonable portion, canned tuna in water. I like the cambells chunky vegetable soup low sodium. Even some of those atkins or keto shakes for a meal. That way the first few days so much like your getting dizzy and weak on the water fast. Also on the water fast take some table spoon or two of apple cedar vinegar and half teapoon of mederteranian pink salt and idozed salt mixed each day. Lo salt has potassium so you could get some of that as well each day. Really if your not used to fasting the first 3 days are going feel pretty crumby and weak especially if you ate junk food and didn’t do any prep to healthier foods before the fast. I didn’t prep on my 8 day water fast and basically took me until about day 4 until i wasn’t feeling hungry most of the time. After 3 or 4 days i wasn’t that hungry so I just kept going. At day 8 i figure well its enough for now. Was to kick start my healthier eating and exercise for the summer. Also I’m trying those 16:8 and 18:6 2MAD and even the OMAD, kinda misking it up to give myself some fasting periods of at least 16 hours a day most days so I can have that fasting period to burn fat and mix in some exercise 4 or 5 days a week with it if i can. I recommend look into getting into Ketosis via fasting and how to be there often by daily intermittent fasting and lower carbs if your looking for faster results. I used to just jog/run a lot to lose weight but the healthy eating and giving up my pop and potato chip addiction has helped much as well. Along with a daily intermittent fasting routine with less junk food.

  • A lot of water is good but you don’t want to spend all day urinating out your electrolytes!

    Also in particular amphetamine users trying to mitigate bad trips have actually died from drinking too much water.

  • I try not to drink water at least 1 hour before bed and I still wake up 3 times a night to go pee. I’m scared that one of these days I’ll pee in my bed.!!!

    Day 1: in the morning I felt really hungry since I hadn’t eat the day before so I went for a walk and did some exercise (the walking helped for some reason). in the afternoon I felt fine I had a bit of cramping but it went really quick. I watched a lot of anime and tv shows to get my mind off things At night it really kicked in I couldn’t go to sleep at night, but I fixed my posture and my stomach stopped rumbling.
    Day 2: it’s the morning I feel fine and I don’t want food at all. I feel full for some reason.☺️update i had ro eat because i nearly fainted like seriously i lost like a pound. Im going to carry on tommorrow brb
    Day 1 (again): so far its pretty easy i dont feel hungry since i ate alot last night I am getting cramps for some reason tho. It’s later on in the night and it’s kicking in but drinking water really helps cold water especially.

  • yes you will be urinating more but like your stomach, your bladder can stretch as well so you aren’t going to the bathroom as much.

  • I was around 146 lbs. When I first started doing diets but it took way too long. Then I found out about water fasting then tried it (I still am) I got to 131 lbs within days. I was really surprised lol. My goal is around 110 lbs. Wish me luck ☺️

  • First 5 kilos are sugars + water. “Water weight” It will all come back almost as fast as you eat it:) Otherwise the maximum speed of actual fat loss tends to be 200g -300g per day (About 1/2 a pound). Thats it, fat just isn’t used faster.

    Sleeping problems might relate to elevated ketones. My energy levels are very high on fasts.

  • Warning! Do not drink half your bodyweight a day. You might get less bodyweight, but that does’nt really help. Drinking more than a liter a day in one month can cause you to get hyponatremia. That means that you will get low sodium concentration in the blood. That means that your slowly losing salt and filling your cells with water, causing you to get a worse ability to think, headaches and and poor balance. Sever symptoms can cause confusion. In the end it can cause to coma or even death. Just drink water to meals and when training at the gym. Or just when you’re dehydrated, or thirsty.

  • Today is the end of my first day.. so I found out that it’s kinda hard cuz you start thinking about it but over time you will forget and drink lots of waterbut I hated the first couple of hours. But I’m going for 7 days. I’ll keep you guys updated:)

  • I think this does work. I did a liquid diet once. I did eat less calories but not enough to justify how fast I lost weight. It just came flying off at a 3 lb per week rate for the first 13 weeks… only to slow when I started eating more non liquid foods. I also saw major benefits in my skin and hair.

I usually watch planner videos, Amazon hauls, and cleaning and organization videos but recently I started coming across countless videos about drinking a gallon of water a day. Every single video I watched showed great benefits whether it be weight loss, more energy, overall well being, etc. so of course I went to amazon I decided to purchase a half gallon bottle due to the size and portability. In all the videos I saw, not one mentioned any negative things possible with drinking too much. So my day one did not look like any of the ones I saw!! I was going to do a half gallon a day…I felt so sick the first day, my stomach was in pain and I couldn’t explain to anyone what was wrong with me… just that I felt sick. One of the issues I realized was because I always felt full and bloated so I was eating a lot less than I should. Thank you so much for this video, and for sharing the truth. I agree I should drink more water but it will be gradual and I’ll listen to my body!!

  • I think it gets annoying mostly because of the giant jug your lugging around.
    Personally I get thirsty and I have two bottles going, one beside my bed for the morning when I can drink half a bottle and finish off the rest before lunch, at lunch I can drink another half and finish it off by dinner. With dinner I drink half a bottle and I usually have a tea or hot chocolate and then finish off my water before bed. Before I go to sleep I usually drink and pother half bottle and save the other half for the next day.
    This is simplified when you have a bottle cooling up to be switched out ��‍♀️

My urine is always a light straw colour… I usually drink about 800ml a day… And that is when a consciously remind myself… What advise can you give me to increase water intake.   • I’mma do this. I’m actually going to drink over 1 gallon. I’m going to drink 144oz which there is 128oz or something very close to that. That’s about 3 48oz of a hydro flask so..
    I’m also using weight loss subliminals and meditation. 100 jumping jacks every 15 minutes and my diet is the 5-10 almonds an hour, gallon of water a day and one stick of gum. Very small portions of dinner with extra fruit. No eating after 9.

    I’m 170.8lbs so I’ll update on the 27th bc it’s the 20th at 12:36a.m. BABY

  • I get so thirsty that I drink over 100 ounces just at night and about 200 ounces during the day. I’ve been doing this ever since I started getting really thirsty all the time after a concussion I had about 15 years ago.

  • Trust me for every one that’s doing this and if someone tells you it’s bad for you don’t listen to them there wrong you might be hungry but it’s worth it keep going loves oh and also I tried it and I used to weigh 195 lb I’m I got to my goal 130 lb

  • Autumn, too much water for me irritates my bladder with a frequent urination urge my urologist said “don’t force water into your body drink when you feel thirsty” and it worked. I don’t drink near a gallon most days, maybe half a gallon and I’m very active. I drink maybe 3-5 gulps when I’m thirsty, that’s it…. and it works for me.

  • As a pregnant woman is it okay if I drink a gallon of water a day I am 36 and having my first baby and I’m already pretty chubby I’m worried about gaining weight and my doctor says it’s important for me not to fast anymore while pregnant because babies cannot eat stored fat they need fresh new food everyday so I’ve been eating oatmeal Greek salads apples strawberries pineapple bananas but the baby doesn’t seem full enough I’m 3 months and get super nauseous and sick still?
