  • DID YOU KNOW that the term “salmon” comes from the Latin salmo, which in turn might have originated from salire, meaning “to leap”. The nine commercially important species of salmon occur in two genera. The genus Salmo contains the Atlantic salmon, found in the north Atlantic, as well as many species commonly named trout.

  • Nice recipe. One thing though. You should really salt the fish ahead of time and allow it to get to room temp before putting it in the pan. You might have done this but it’s not stated here.

  • 5 people in the comments have asked for the name of the songs, especially for the 2nd one, and all were rudely ignored by the poster, why is it so hard to name a friggin song????!!!

  • Natasha, what is the healthiest salmon to buy at a grocery store? I’ve heard wild caught salmon is best, but hard to find I think I read. I also read be careful not to buy fish that have been in tanks because they can get lice and other bugs. I finally gave up.

  • Can I sub cream with something else? Also how do you ensure that the fish is cooked through my main worry while pan frying is that the top and bottom get cooked while meat inside stays raw

  • You know what. All this time I was scared to cook salmon. This year I said, Ima learning how to cook this fish because every video I see it looks so tasty. As soon as I cooked that salmon my son devoured it

  • My grocery stores (Kroger/Meijer) never remove the fish scale and makes it impossible to cut in the skin. Guess it does make a difference where you buy your meat.

  • I do the same thing with salmon I purchase from Sam’s Club, I use basil in stead of rosemary but I have fresh rosemary growing in my garden and will try your recipe. I normally cook mine on a grill. Its economically and is better than most restaurants!

  • These all look super yummy I’m sure I’m going to make everyone unhappy when I ask… doesn’t the salmon look overdone???? My daughter and I are in constant disagreement about it. She always thinks I leave it “raw” but my son and I love it when it’s just done. Maybe it’s just a matter of preference…. Definitely want to incorporate these flavors….. thanks so much. Would like to hear opinions without “slamming” me . And the music is wonderful

  • made this and it was awesome thanks MR RAMSEY

  • Hey I no have unsalted-butter maybe I not use salt? I never cook and with this simple preparation and what people tell in here ( delicious) I going to try

  • I love this video Stef.
That is the exact same thing I do with my salmon.  I don’t mean the recipe I mean the individual wrapping and freezing from a giant piece.  Would you believe I that about a half an hour ago I took out two pieces for my daughter and I to have for dinner tonight?  If I had rosemary in the house I’d be making this recipe.  Instead I’ll be robbing the lemon garlic prep you did on the tilapia a few weeks back.  Your videos are outstanding.  The production level is off the charts.

  • Gordan: “Flip it once, and once ONLY, and leave it to cook!

Also Gordan: Flips salmon twice. “Tilt the pan and let the butt of the salmon cook in the oil..”

  • Hey Claudia, thanks for sharing this! I’ve tried it twice, the only issue I’ve run into both times is that the asparagus was very undercooked. Had to throw them back in for another 5-10 minutes on their own each time. The fish turned out great though!

  • Is butter healthy? I’m trying to lose weight eating salmon but I’ve been eating it pretty plain with just olive oil salt and pepper

  • Can you do a video about cast iron? I want to switch over to it, but could really use some guidance on how to season, use and take care of them.

  • What kinda salmon do you prefer? Some is more salmon is more fishy than others…like wild caught vs farm raised. I’m new to your channel! Awesome recipes!!! I’m hungry!!!! Lol

  • just subscribed today to your channel because the dishes look very promising! One question though, is there a list of ingredients somewhere? the first recipe here in this video “”creamy dijon salmon” doesn’t have quantities for mustard & cream (what kind of cream and how much?) thank you!

  • Thank you for this recipe! This was a big hit! My husband and kids loved it. I served it with rice and California Rolls. I know big dinner.. I made sandwiches with the leftover salmon on toadted chibatta, with avacado tomatoes and bacon. ♡♡♡ I will put this on dinner rotation for sure!
