WALKING AT HOME WORKOUT -20 minute routine. Lose weight & tone up-low impact exercises START NOW

Aim for 15 minutes the first week, adding five minutes per week on four walks. During the fifth weekly walk, aim to double your walking time. For example: On week three, go for four 25-minute walks and one 50-minute walk.

In the week leading up to the race, plan one 10K walk as a final training walk. The move: Start in tabletop position. Simultaneously lift your right leg and left arm, kicking straight back through the right leg and reaching forward with your left arm. Make sure your back stays in a neutral position throughout the entire movement.

Hold for 10 seconds, then slowly return to start. To increase the intensity of your walk and burn even more calories, try walking on routes with hills or slight inclines. Summary: Walking burns calories, which may help you lose weight and keep. After a five-minute warm up at an easy pace, try to keep a strong moderate (130-135 steps per minute, 15-17 minute mile, 3.5-4 mph) pace for the duration of this walk. Allow for a five-minute cool down, walking at an easy pace, to finish your walking session for the day. As you become more fit, aim to increase your mileage in the same amount of.

“Walking with straight legs puts more emphasis on your lower abdominals than walking normally because you are lifting up your entire leg rather than just from the knee up.” To do it, lift your leg. Walking is a great way to lose weight, but to make sure that you aren’t losing metabolism -boosting muscle mass, you need to integrate strength training into your routine, Ellner says. Stop every. Nordic walking, which uses poles and can be done in any climate, is a great way to add more muscle power and intensity to your program. According to the Cooper Institute, Nordic walking burns 20% more calories than walking alone (sans poles).

Muscle tissue burns four times as many calories as fat, so the muscle you get from walking can also help you lose more weight. This means that you can realistically trim some of the fat from your legs and tone them within a month or two by walking briskly every day for 60 minutes per session. Diet and exercise modifications can help you get fit and lean. Toning up requires two basic steps: strengthening and developing your muscles, as well as losing the fat overtop them so they’re more visible and defined. Diet and exercise modifications can help you get fit and lean.

One study published in the journal Diabetes Care found that a brief 15-minute walk after a meal was as effective at lowering blood sugar levels in 24 hours as a longer 45-minute walk. 9. IT RAISES YOUR IMMUNITY. Stay healthy with daily steps.

A walk every day may even help your body fend off illness better. Regular exercise can also contribute to maintaining a healthy weigh.

  • I just started walking about 2 weeks ago..I’m trying to walk 6000 steps a day but was told I needed to walk 10000 step in order to see any result.

  • Hi Lucy I’m intending on doing this one again but I have my playlist for next week, but I may make this my evening workout, Thankyou for all your hard work. Iv come along way with your workouts

  • I have a desk job and I take 30 minutes out of my day to walk in place. Its really helped me keep moving and get a mini work out in. I never thought I would be a walker, its what old ladies did, now I understand it though.

  • This may be an older one (vintage LWR?) but I just discovered it today and I love it! I’m going to share the link with friends and I’ve put it on my “favorites” playlist

  • I haven’t done this workout for a while and I really love it. It is great for developing balance which is so important. I also like the 30 second intervals. Thanks for all your wonderful workouts. There is not one that isn’t great for the body and mind.

  • I think this is your best indoor walking video yet Lucy! i really enjoyed looking at the outdoor scenery and the positive quotes and enjoyed doing all the choices of exercises. Thank you!

  • Why is walking on a treadmill boring? Just put on YouTube or a show. How’s it any more boring than standing still while watching something? And what about the bonus of an incline?

  • Hey I m started this exercise…but in beginning I will start with very sportiveness but nxt day feels like I can’t do this…..y….what happened to me

  • Thank you.. It’s a helpful information.. Specifically the right way to walk. I will try tat as I have noticed my legs was paining after coming back from walk.

  • Fledge talking about walking having benefits that’s like Sean Hannity recommending voting Democrat or a keto person recommending Lucky Charms consumption.

  • I’ve not long found you Lucy! I’ve decided today I’d do this longer exercise! And I am feeling great, perspiring SO much was really out of breath but feeling great! Thank you for putting effort into you channel! Your a star! Keep up the good work X

  • Just love this! You are so motivational. Your tone of voice is both soothing and wants to get me to do more. Thank you! I saw you on Meg’s Menopause IGTV and now doing this one with my husband. Feels good to be able to get some many body parts moving in such a short time.

  • hi thank you so much! I started doing your workouts about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love them! could you plz do a video on how to slim down outer thighs thanks!

  • Low carbs diet + IF 20:4 + 30-45min HIIT in am then 45min walk/lite jog after dinner daily will helps u maintain lean muscles. ‍♀️‍♀️

  • I done 10 minutes. I haven’t done this kind of exercise in a long time. So will take a bit to work up to 20 minutes. But I really liked it. I turned on some Exercise music and done it. I think this will help me get motivated back into exercising.

  • Hi Lucy… I am doing your walking workouts almost regularly… I am 35 and weigh around 72kg… My height is 5 feet 2 inches… Since last month my BP is somewhat higher…. Should I continue the exercises or I should go slower… Please reply…

  • Hello Lucy, Thanks for your passion and energy. Its contagious. Can you make a neck workout please? I have lots of neck pain that I think might be less if my neck were stronger. Looking forward

  • Yes, this one was difficult. I am not new to exercise, either. I had to take 3 breaks but I did it and I’m dripping with sweat and proud of myself!!

  • Wow, I really needed this after more than a month of quarantine here in Italy! I had stopped working out at the beginning of the year (I had been ill during the holidays, then my period, then settling back into routine after the holidays… I couldn’t bring myself to start again) and now this staying at home thing, with all the cooking, the baking and the eating without any walking or biking is really showing on my belly and thighs! D: I hate it so much. So now I’m back and I’ll try fighting it with your exercises!

  • I just discovered your channel and I love it!!!! Your workouts are fun and full of variety. I am very overweight and yet I can still follow the moves. You are the answer to my workout dreams. Thank you so much.

  • thankyou so much mam u r doing great pleez make a video to reduce breast size with daily diet and workout for reduction.. if there is any video u already made then give video link

  • #done #lucyssquad definitely one of my favourites! tried it a few months ago and was unable to complete, but with consistency during the last few months, I was able to get to the end and feel great and this was after doing January’s challenge Days 20 and 22. So my routine now consists of getting through 2 days of a monthly challenge (currently January); then one of Lucy’s walking video. This has become a welcome addictive habit to my lifestyle. God bless beautiful Lucy!

  • I truly love your workouts!! I love jogging a lot, but these last 3 weeks I’ve had to cut back on jogging cause the impact on my joints. I’ve leaned into your videos since then and no guilt here. Your videos target everything!!! When I started my weight journey back in January I was 178 pounds my biggest in my life. My goal is to get to 130 pounds. I need 15 more pounds to go and I’m more than sure you and your videos will help me get there. I really like how you have long and short workouts. I’m a mom of 6 beautiful angels who keep me busy so it’s awesome that you have workouts that are 7 minutes or 20 minutes long. No excuses here!! You are doing a great job and thank you!!

  • I walk a 5 mile up down hill route not too far from my house. I walk backwards about 1/2 of that walk. So far I haven’t run into a light pole. But my sister did . Don’t worry she’s fine. Ya’ll this guy didn’t talk down about walking he just showed a study that said it didn’t help with weight loss. I know he wish he never did show that study…

  • Loved this!,I was feeling tired & now I’m energized. Bookmarking this workout for future ‘I’m too tired for a workout days’!

  • This is a fantastic workout. Thank you @Lucy Wyndham-Read for creating exercises that isolate muscle groups and gives people a whole body workout with always 2 options so one can chose and no one feels left out yet with get work the same muscle groups and give people a full workout with due care. Its rare in todays world to find people like yourself who are not only qualified and experienced but really care to get a population fit -wherever in the world. I write this comment in 2020 when the world saw a pandemic be interesting to see what results or where we are in a few years from now. Take care, Best wishes to you and All following

  • Hi Lucy i really gotta ask what time is the best time to workout and loose weight, and is it good to do high intensity workout in the morning?

  • Walking and cycling have always been the barebones basics on which I have been able to rely even when my health did not allow much else. I just wish I had a home treadmill to “bore” me when it is -30 outside. Stationary bicycle is usually within everyone’s price range and space constraints….a combination of those activities is my cardio go-to.
Considering a weighted vest for walking but wondering if this will be hard on the joints?? Keep up the good work. Enjoy your vids very much.

  • Hi again, I still love your workouts videos. Well I suggest I notice your video don’t count warm up so much so I ask you to set all quiet WORKOUTS
with warm and cool down please because I like once all in one video during mornings. I wonder if you can set video of more walk and whole up and low abs, and back included warm up and cool down. Also other video should be about upper body and walk, too. it need 10 or 15 minutes. Thanks! I am looking forward to see it a reason I asks you because I work during week with a lot of physical so I need balance for abs during week then weekend is focus upper body like arm etc.. My goal is about weight loss and flat stomach. I can’t stand fat tummy/muffin:)

  • Lucy thank you for this video, the quotes hit the spot, and yor education on exercises were awesome! Thanks a bunch! God Bless you and your work!

  • Luv this video! I put on some workout high energy music and did it 3 times! . Thank you Lucy, I recommend your channel to all my girlfriends!

  • I’ve done this workout several time including walking through the intro, no matter how I do it I don’t get a thousand step. But b/c I like the workout I will continue to do it.

  • Great workout working on the whole body. I look forward to doing your workouts every day. I love the quietness and simplicity of your videos. The movements are so doable yet I can feel the burn. The variety of movements keeps it from getting boring and the time flies. Enjoy the beautiful setting in this one!

  • Hey thanks for this video! I did the egg diet lost 10 pounds my self here’s my link to my version of it!
    https://youtu.be/dPyozKx7tb8

  • Wisdom comes from an open mind. You have to be willing to receive new information, which, clearly you are. Stay blessed and wise.

  • Hey Lucy! I absolutely LOVE your workouts! It definitely helps with my fitness level, I don’t get too much time to go for my runs. I did a 10km run on the 4th of June and I had no problem all because I do your workouts every morning before work!! YOU ROCK LUCY!!! Thank you xxx

  • Me and my Nan have been doing your workouts everyday as she can follow your beginners on the left whilst I do the right. We absolutely love them. Thank you

  • very nice the same guy that said walking dont do sh8t to ur body today a video from him explaining how to loose weight by walking,,,Life Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • 1400 steps I marched whole time it loaded and never slowed I’m so out of shape but this video was great I’m sweating but no joints hurt. I’m motivated but cautious I know I need to start slow to avoid burn out.

  • Great video. I’ve lost almost 70 lbs so far over the last 6 months by walking and intermittent fasting while keeping carb intake low. That was very interesting about the tread mill especially walking backwards. I wonder if you could address keeping bpm down. Other YouTubers have said that for WEIGHT LOSS, it is best to keep your heart rate below 220-age x 60-70% (so, like 100-140bpm depending on your age).. This is because going at this rate or below, your body can supply all the energy it needs by burning fat, but going above this, the metabolism needs more energy, and needs to produce glucose, presumably from glycogen (glycogenolysis) or by converting proteins to glucose (gluconeogenesis). I’d want to burn all-fat if possible, so keeping my heart rate down might seem like I’m being lazy (i.e. at this rate I’m not breathing very hard), but I think it has helped me lose mostly fat (85% of weight lost has been fat, although 15% of the weight I lost was muscle, too). I often do a couple sprint intervals at the end (i.e. very easy HIIT) maxing out heart rate, in order to produce HGH, which should also be muscle-conserving. Any insights?

  • It was 773 steps with me marching in between moves. Hope that helps, Lucy! HUGE fan!! My body is everything I ever wanted it to be thanks to your exercise videos and eating philosophy. I use your videos pretty much every day. Love, love, love you!

  • I’ve been doing 2 plus miles everyday on my treadmill since the lockdown. It’s so boring and monotonous, I’m going to get the jump rope so I could hang myself.

  • First time doing this video and I loved it. Thank you. Love your positive statements and the pace of this workout. Not boring at all!

  • I’m 76 years old woman and had been doing your workout for 2 weeks when my adult daughters and I went on a week-end retreat. One morning we did a 30 min. workout. The next day all the girls were complaining about sore legs not me. I breezed through it. Thank you, Lucy.

  • I love this exercise I never tried doing this routine. What I like about it is that you easy to follow. I never like exercise before because sometimes I get bored but all your videos are great. I’m in my 2 weeks journey of my exercise routine and clean food.

  • Treadmill pe kitne time our distance walking karni hogi mere pas elliptical cycle hai dono ko kaise use karu weight loss mai i am 80 kg, 35 is my age please reply me

  • Lucy, I love your 1,000 step workouts. They help me stay active and energized during a day full of sitting and staring at screens. Would love to see more workouts like this. You’re amazing! You make my day so much better. Thank you!!

  • Yay I managed this and feel great and accomplished. I have arthritis in my knees and fibro so movement at the best of times is hard. But I did it! Thankyou x

  • Hello ma’am, meri daughter ko varicose veins ka issue rehta hai.. Aur occasionally affected area mai pain bhi rehta hai.. Please aap koi solution ya suggestion bataye

  • The first time I did it I started walking as soon as I hit play and I started doing the exercises as soon as you demonstrated them and didn’t stop moving, I just kept on walking in place, and I got 1930 steps. I think that’s like 67 cal I could be off not sure but this is great! This will definitely help me meet my step count! The second time around it was a little less I got 1131 steps but either way this is definitely true to its word. Thank you!

  • Great I’ve been doing the Lymphatic workout for a while as it improves my circulation, but after the Christmas period (having put on a full 3 kilos) I need something more radical and this feels great. I have to admit, it’s a bit hard but I’m going to stick with it.

  • I usually do your high impact high intensity workouts but I’ve recently been struggling with allergies, so I have been doing the walking/toning workouts as a way to stay fit. Thank you.

  • I just love your walking workouts! I love the convenience of them being on YouTube. I can do them anywhere! The moves are not complicated, and I love how you give health tips during the workout! You are the best! I’m a fan forever! ❤

  • fantastic workout! I just finished mine and I want to say the quotes you used were perfectly timed and the motivation I needed! Thank you so much! Will continue to use your vids in the future as well!

    Love your workouts:)

  • Lucy I absolutely love your walking workouts. Love your positivity and count downs. Im enjoying my fitness journey. Thanks to you

  • Hey Lucy!!! First of all, I have to congratulate you for your videos and your health and fitness tips! You are gorgeous!!!! I really need your advice…I started following a healthy diet about 3 months ago and have lost 17lb until today. But now I also want to start exercising so as to lose weight more easily and tone my body at the same time. I am a beginner. I’ve already finished a week of your indoor walking workouts, which I think are awesome, and I can notice some difference on me. I workout 6 days a week. Do you think I should add some other workouts in my routine, maybe some 4 minute HIITs, or just wait for maybe a month so that my body won’t get tired too easily? Do you have any other workouts to suggest? I would really appreciate it, if you helped me…

  • Hi Lucy, wonderful video.. working out after a long time. I lost a lot of post pregnancy weight doing your November challenge workout and came back to my previous weight. Thanks for that as well . Please do more disastitis workouts.

  • Other than everyday walking and a longer walk on a weekend, I don’t do any other form of exercise, I do dip in and out of doing Lucy’s workouts.
I have reduced my amount of calories I am eating in a day (I am using my fitness pal) I’ve now lost just over 4 stone in just under 14 months, and I’m actually loving the benefits it’s giving me.

  • I am following. Can u give the perfect time of living in the world like when to eat morning afternoon evening and night. Sleeping time

  • Great thank you. I do the longer ones at the weekend and a short one before work each day. I also do one after work if I feel like it. They are really helping me! x

  • #lucylockdown workouts are addictive thanks for sorting out the playlists ❤️ I love the previews and play these workouts on silent whilst lectures are taking place on the laptop. Staying active whilst learning is great

  • Ty I haven’t walked much since Covid I gained so I’m going to make an effort to start walking in the evening it’s hard in Florida hot out.
    Working from home doesn’t help.

  • Last night, I found you on Youtube. Oh my, what a God send you are. I am totally in love with your video’s. This morning I did 4 of your videos. I feel empowered and excited. I was getting so disappointed in all the jumping HIIT videos, which I can’t do. I was so discouraged. I have gotten my heart rate to target range and worked up a great sweat. Please don’t stop doing the videos. Many of us 63 year olds, with bad knees and shoulders need you more than you will ever know. My deepest gratitude.

  • People who like walking checkout the citystrides website. You can track what streets you walk and try to walk all of the ones in your area.

  • Hi Lucy, I just did this workout after a long time and I LOVED it just as much as I loved it the first time I tried it (I haven’t come back to this one in a while since I’ve been doing your other, more recent workouts ). I did your 7 minute Abs and 7 minute Thigh Slimming workout earlier on today and I just added this one since you suggested adding your 16 minute walking workout to your 7-day workouts. I wasn’t sure which 16 minute walking workout you were referring to, but I figured doing this 20 minute workout was just as good .

  • being fit is boring for me before i found out your channel..later i always lost my track doesn’t matter how hard i try..but with your workout fitness is fun..thanks for being my guide in fitness journey..love from india❤

  • Hi Lucy!! I enjoy your Channel and videos. I like it when you do 2 views of beginners and the advance. Love It especially your walking workouts. Can you do standing up ab and back fat workouts Please!!..Thank You for sharing!! Have a Blessed Week!!

  • I’m 55 this year & was introduced to you by my friend. I can’t live a day with your toning/walking workouts as they are my favourite. Your workouts are just great! ❤️❤️

  • Thank you so much Lucy your exercises, your positive thoughts, your smile Really during I did it, I was smiling also. I love all your ideas! And of course I shared them to my friends You are the best!

  • Hi mam….wonderful..mene apki dait or walk se 5kg reduce kia h…now my weight is 75…. mera target 60kg h…plzzzz kuch or b beaty tips..thankyou….allah bless u..

  • Hi I was looking for a short workout in which I got to continually stand on my feet and I found THE PERFECT ONE HERE!!thank you!

  • Answering to some of the common questions I got in the comments:
    1. You don’t have to try and finish 10,000 steps in one go…that’s your target for the whole day,..however it would be nice if you could cover 5k-6k in one go.
    2. You can walk on a treadmill, but I personally feel walking in outdoors is always better than walking in close doors
    3. I will be similar sharing video running and other exercising soon

  • Manjo Malik you are a world best Ye meray dill ki awaz thi jo apnay sun li main walk karti hun or 2 gantay say zeyada b kar leti hun lekin en tips ka nahi tha pata lekin ab pata chal gi thanks for making this amazing and beautiful video

  • Great video, i have terrible arthritis pain in my knees, this low impact moves will help me a lot. Thank you for making this video.

  • Thanks ma’am…itne ache se batane ke liye…mai ese hi walk karoogi jaise aapne bataya h…..ma’am ek request h aapse…aap ek video badte hue bacho jaise 10 to 15 years ke liye kya khane ko dena chaiye please jarror banaye is par video…bcoz mai aapki sari videos ko dekhti hu or aapki videos ko dekh kar apne bacho ka junk food packed food sab band kar diya….apna to healthy food khana shuru kiya or sath hi sath bacho ko bhi healthy food dena shuru kiya…or mera Weight loss bhi ho raha h….Thank you so much ma’am….please ek video jarror banaye bacho ke liye☺

  • Meri age 39 hai aur mera weight 96 hai mujhe thyroid hai mujhe walk karne se be bahut sust hota hai kiyon mai daily 35 min walk karti hun magarvkuch be fark nahi padta

  • Thanks dear I’m ur big fan ur all videos on various topics are amazing and useful every time I learn a lot u and ur mom both are admirable ❤️

  • Mam, what do you mean by 10,000 steps per day..is it overall steps in a day or 10,000 steps for exercising apart from steps for normal daily life?

  • This one looks good. I’m hooked on your 20 min summer bikini ready video and your 4min arm workout where you have on the orange top. I can almost get thru the arm circles without having to rock or pace to keep my mind off of feeling the burn. I’ve been doing the arm one for a few months now and have some nice muscles starting to develop.
I am thankful I got rid of my scale. In april I was in a 24w. I’m working on shrinking out of 18Ws now.
I cannot thank you enough. Sending my love to you from NW Montana.

  • Been thinking of taking a kettlebell with me for a walk. I always felt even better on walks where I had to carry my overheated pug part of the way.

  • I ran out of my breath half way down these workouts. They are so challenging and sweat breaking. Thanks for designing these wonderful workouts and being such an amazing online trainer.

  • Another wonderful workout! Thank you Lucy! ❤️ I’m 3 weeks post-op, and I was able to do the low impact version (with slight modifications)! Feels so good to be (slowly) returning to my active self! Yay!

  • Hi Lucy. It was my first workout session after a decade. I liked the format and intensity of your session for beginners like me. Thanks for posting. It would be great if u could create a workout calendar for beginners, intermediary and advanced level individuals. Hope there are no workout cramps this time for me. fingers crossed!:)

  • I’m 29 years old and fit. When I power walk for an hour a day I feel a warm/burning/inflamed feeling in my hip sockets.. if I turn it down a notch the feeling doesn’t show up… I’d much rather spend an extra 10-15 mins than burn myself out

  • Thank u so much for this mam…Can u pls make a video to loose belly and thigh fat for people who suffer back pain due to slip disc disease since they can’t do heavy exercise and really in need to loose weight so that their pain decrease a bit

  • I love this! Lucy! I do this after your 20 minute walks videos if I have a few more minutes to spare. Can you do more of these 1000 step 7 minute walks please?

  • This is perfect!! I got about 800 steps my first try. I’m 58, lost 15lds on ww and stalled, I still want to lose 15 more so i got a Fitbit and I’m starting to challenge myself!!:))

  • When I did a walking warm-up and walking cool down I logged 994 steps. Close enough:) Thanks, as always, Lucy! Your workouts are my bread and butter for fitness

  • It’s 2020 and I am repeating your first and bestworkout of yoursI I am working out for almost 2 hours without getting tired! The weather has been terrible lately, so I have the perfect excuse for not going to the gym this is so much better and effective!

  • I lose more weight when I walk at a slower pace. I discovered that after experiencing some ankle pain and tenderness walking at a pace of 3.0 to 4.0. I went down to a slower pace of 2.0 to 2.8 and the weight came of much quicker (better). I just added 10 extra minutes to my walk. From 60 minutes to 70 minutes.

After discovering that I searched online and read some articles that supported what I had been experiencing.

  • Mai 14000se 20hajar step kar leti hu ek din me but morning me time nhi hota to evening me karti hu…mai kitne time me 7kg kam kar paongi..mai 63kg hu..hight 5’2

  • Thank you Lucy. This is my third week, age 57, and I actually have felt a buzz ( rush of energy) the HAPPY FEELING GOOD FEELING which I havent felt for 30 years. Its still hard to continue, but I am determined because I can feel it is working for me. And I trust you completely. You really know what youre doing. Thank you once again. ♥

  • Finding you is like finding a gold mine. At age 59, these are the first workouts in a long time I can fully do. I feel so accomplished which makes me want to do more. Thank you so much Lucy! <3

  • Thank you for this. I lost 4 stone last year using your videos. Am loving this one, have done it 3 times this week but have to say that I find the advert that pops up half way through quite annoying! However, it doesn’t take away from the fact that your videos are great x

  • Walking is always better then running if your trying to build muscle you don’t see really big runners do yea
    Running will drop your testosterone
Sprites 10 to 2o metres and resting after for a minute or two is the way to go
To raise your testosterone and your growth hormone

  • Keto + Walking 5 km to/from work/monday-friday + swimming at the w-e. Haven’t felt that good in yearssss. Lost 41lb in 5 months. Another 20lb to go.

  • Hey, what’s up Fledge I’m a subscriber but this is the first update video I received in 3 months. Just informing you notifications are not getting out to subscribers. Keep up the good work.

  • I’ve started walking, over the last 8 days. While on keto diet. I’ve lost 8lbs already. I normally drive everywhere. Starting to enjoy walking

  • This is my first video of yours and I am loving your positivity, I nearly gave up at half way but I pushed through and I’m so glad I have. Cant wait to try more of your videos

  • Ur AAAAAAAAAwesomeLucy I’m enjoying my every minute of work out. In my life this the first time I started working out baby. All thanks to you

  • As of this time 5:26pm here in the Philippines I did 13159 steps tomorrow am gonna make it 15k steps yes I know I ate lots of carbs today I took off of fasting for 2 weeks nd it’s my 4th day today

  • its a bit funny that after that vid that edward did bout walking as to how walking 10k steps does nothing and now I believe this will be his 2nd vid talking bout how walking has awesome benefits. Common Sense is something u cant beat, I don’t care how much science ppl try to use if someone is walking for hrs and hrs a day for a week YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE in that person’s body. Nice vid edward:) ppl walk on a daily basis. Do take ur legs for granted, use ur legs and walk and walk till ur heart is content:) I love to walk:p

  • Treadmill is also safer because walking outside means dangerous encounters. From armed vigilantes to gypsy pickpockets to racist policemen.

  • Great video Thanks! I’ll be starting my daily walking ASAP lol wanted to share this album with you. May not be your style; but maybe it is? either way, hope you enjoy, and have a blessed day! https://open.spotify.com/album/2wcDRURDeE1O3Fm8yomoVh?si=2JF99-CYRQiItBl_vEi9qg

  • I love walking with either a backpack or sling bag on my back.So I always have extra wight on me as a kind of resistance. Hm. I think some people call that rucking.

  • Very good point about adding the amount of weight lost to the walk. I’m glad that you also mentioned the importance of nutrition and a calorie deficit at the beginning of this video! Nutrition is so important for a weight loss goal

  • Hi! Love you! I’m 67 yrs. and I’m 5’9″. I was a model for many years and stick thin! I was a size 4 tall for 30 years. I then went through a horrendous divorce, and everything changed in my world. I’m an interior designer now, which I LOVE, but I’ve gotten far too heavy-and, you’re right-all the weight of the stress and depression went right to my belly and midsection! I still have super skinny legs, but now I look like a candied apple on a stick!! Haha!! I’ve been motivated to get healthy again, and I’ve lost 20 lbs. I’m dedicated to starting the 7 day workout, and really look forward to all your new YouTube videos!! You have a HUGE new fan here! Hugs to you!! XXOO

  • Lost over 100 pounds by walking everyday increasing my speed and distance every week. Also I was on IF and a good healthy diet. It works!

  • My favorite evening routine strolling is walking 10k steps 6times in a weeks…..apart from my morning workout…..after walking in feel flexible and sleep like a baby no more insomnia again eversince I started walking…..I recommend walking for my fiends

  • First time doing this workout. Step count was 6964 before and at the end it was 7989. Heart rate was up to 149bpm.
    Sweating and feeling good!

  • Perfect timing for this vid. Just got back from my daily power walk, since covid and gym closures I power walk six days a week in the beautiful sun and heat. I love it, and it starts my day off great! I plug my fav music in and I’m off. Great exercise, no membership or personal trainer needed.

  • Lucy thanks for all the variety in the workouts. I am encouraged to make healthy choices and you motivate me as we are close in age. You’re terrific!

  • Protip: yea you burn more energy per minute power walking, but you burn more energy strolling for two hours than power walking for half an hour.

  • This is the first time that I have seen a video from Lucy and I just love the positive comments that people are making so nice to see people proud………..

  • I really enjoyed it and I would like to know every day you have different video for lose weight we have to watch and following one video every day or all of them to lose weight?

  • Have to admit, I was sooo put off when you put down walking bc that is my go to and it has helped me a lot. Glad to see some updated research and an open mind. We are not all super fit to start with.

  • Where’s the love button?! Lucy, this is the best online workout I’ve found so far in my newly started journey toward fitness, weight loss and toning! Thank you! Thank you!! I’m your newest, biggest fan! 😉

  • Thank you for sharing. Good video. Good information. Walking in a ketosis state will burn fat off the body more….you were 100% on point with that. Good content. Thank you so much.

  • Loved the workout! It was more intense than I thought it would be, but I’m so glad I powered through. I’ll be adding it to my exercise list. Thank you, Lucy.

  • I’ve been doing this workout religiously for a year now, so it is high time to say a HUGE THANK YOU! I lost 10 kilos in 6 months and still no problem keeping my weight. Always looking forward to your new workouts aswell! Thank you for your hard work and for making me work hard!

  • Thanks Lucy, I was so pumped I did it twice!! I’ve been working out with you for a while now & I feel great & my body”s not looking too bad either!!

  • We sit too much in modern society…just standing as opposed to sitting has tremendous benefits over sitting…increasing NEAT, aiding digestion…

  • Can someone please tell me where I can get a weight vest from? I have asked people and no luck! I really want one for walking? Fledge. F?

  • 901 steps for me today using basic Fitbit tracker. I love this workout! I use it every morning now before I start working from home as a nice and easy way to wake up my energy and feel good. After several weeks I noticed I was losing fat in my face and waist without even trying to do that! Thank you so much Lucy! This is the most consistent I have worked out since the last time I had an in-person personal trainer which was 5 yrs ago. I had given up on gyms and trying to exercise. I was demotivated for a long time because exercise seemed so painful and awkward and complicated. Your videos are easy to follow and this one was a nice gateway exercise to get me back on the fitness path. Now I am on Day 5 of your 7 Day Drop a Dress Size Challenge! Can hardly wait to report back my results!

  • Hi Lucy, I just recently found your channel and I am so glad I did! I am obese and these workouts have been fun and easy enough for a beginner. Thank you so much <3

  • What a long time I didn’t follow this video!! But in this time of confinement it is perfect to see nature!!!! Thanks for your videos

  • Lucy—-thank you so much for your YouTube workouts. I am so favorable of the 7, 15 and 20 minute workouts because 1) I can do them!!! 2) I can stick with them and before I know it, the work out is complete and I feel like I’ve ran a mile. You have given me hope that as a 50+ female going through intense hot flashes, there is something I can do a short period of time even with the hot flashes. I may not see the difference, but I feel great. The hot flashes haven’t stopped, but at least I know I can get the exercise I need in the course of a day in increments. Thank you again, and God Bless You.

  • Hi Lucy, just subscribed at your channel.
I would like to ask you, I’m a BEGINNER to all this, which of your workout would you suggest for losing belly fat?
I have watched your 20′ minute workout and I feel that in the first 5 minutes trying to follow this workout, I will be laying on the floor and I will need someone to pick me up!!:)))))
Any comments from beginners who tried this workout?

  • Your videos are excellent but you don’t put any music… You keep talking and talking and talking too much. I have been watching your videos and all are the same. I understand for introducing talking is ok but you keep talking and talking…

  • Im tracking my calories thru an app and i burned 2000 calories today. Do you know how days it would take to lose 20 pounds if i burned 2000 calories a day?

  • Just did this one, I gave birth to twins 4 mths ago and this workout was low impact and gentle yet still strenuous, i am sweating lol. Good way to ease back into exercise.

  • Hi, Lucy! I keep stopping working out these past years because I’m just to lazy, if not tired, to do so. When I gained weight, I am so thankful to come.across.your workout tutorials which I can do “as a beginner” and someone who can’t do anything extreme due to my scoliosis. Thank you!

  • Thank you Lucy.
Your workouts are a great support during this lockdown.
Simple and practical way to remain fit.

  • I’m in my 3rd trimester with our fourth child and this workout is perfect! I love the fact that it is low impact and varies so much it is so wonderful to have a trainer who is willing to take the time to make videos accessible to people like me. Thank you!

  • Lucy, I’ve been working out with you for four weeks now and notice a dramatic difference in my body, energy, and outlook. I feel so much more calm and centered when I go to work. I like the way you explain what we’re improving and I find myself kicking up my metabolism at work with some of your moves. I like your walk and tone videos the most. More please of those please! How about a month of those?

  • Whew! Just finished this workout, loved it! This I will definitely be using often. Thank you Lucy, you are Awesomeness

  • Hi. I would also like to see back fat addressed in a video. Also upper stomach. I am hoping that as more weight loss is attained some of this will finally disappear. Amazing video. Very vigorous exercise. I am 70 and enjoy your videos.

  • I walk everywhere now! I carry a backpack and extra bags for store purchases. Walking has always been my “go to”, but I just added the component of “walking everywhere” since my gym closed, due to the pandemic. I still supplement my walking on my home treadmill and That’s when I get to watch your videos!!! ❤️

  • This is great. I’ve been meaning to start working out for a while, now, and I came here because I saw Anna Saccone following your routines. I’ve started with your HIIT workout for beginners and it was really simple, it helped me get into the idea of doing this every morning. After a month or so I looked for something harder and found this 20 minutes workout… I LOVE IT. I get to the end in a pool of sweat and with my muscles burning, but that’s what makes me feel good, like I’m actually doing something useful. I hope I’ll see some results soon! I haven’t really been keeping track of my weight as that is not something I care about, but I hope I’ll see my body more toned and my belly somehow more flat in a few months! Thank you for putting out these amazing videos.

  • This workout always feels so good I remember the first time I did this I could only get half way through some of the moves, I can do them entirely now and I’ve started adding more speed and intensity

  • I like these 20 minute workouts… when I am thinking “I have things to do, places to go, people to see”… then I tell myself “It’s only 20 minutes… I can spare 20 minutes”… and then I’m glad I did!!!

  • You are the best I really like all your workouts video…can I do this workout everyday but I will make one day rest?..I really wanna lose fat and have a slim body during college
