  • The official start of the Holiday season is Halloween and the official end of the Holiday season is the Martin Luther King Holiday. In a few weeks I’ll be loading up on Halloween candy to pass out for Teunk of Treat at my church. Us adults enjoy it more than the children when we pass out candy, peanuts.

  • Does anybody else hear an annoying ticking sound throughout this video? I love the music, but it’s so hard to listen to with that ticking sound throughout it. I wish Guaraldi’s people would piece the soundtrack together the best they can and release it. What a shame that so much great music is missing.

  • Here it is March and I still can’t stop thinking of Halloween and this classic. The one day of the year we can be whatever we want. It’s just too cool for words

  • HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2019!!!! WOOHOO!!! just so you know, Halloween starts in late August and ends at sunrise on Nov 1 (per the calendar).

  • (No offense) but even though Beyoncé called her self turning Jay Z into caged bird and getting my mans to reconsider some things, settle down with some kids, I know as a fellow Sagittarius he’s still a true player at heart and will always be BIG PIMPIN! #ForeverMackin

  • The Ending sponsor tag pushing Coca-Cola & Dolly Madison as well as the Opening should of been left in the cartoon on TV as well as DVD special feature material.

  • I remembered my music teacher from 4th and 5th grade playing this song on the piano after the talent show was over and everyone was going back to classes, and thought how super cool it was. My mom loved watching Charlie Brown as a kid so she introduced me to them watching the specials on tv and I loved them as a kid (: Super nostalgic!

  • Thanks for this!!!! I’m 74 now, and the pleasure never fades. A Charlie Brown Christmas, and It’s the Great Pumkin, Charlie Brown still have all of their magic for me!!! Thank you again. Love to you from San Diego, CA.

  • Growing up..
Dad watched this with us on channel 2…
    Early 80s..
    Dad has passed now..
Thank u dad for these memories…
    Thank u too Mr Shultz

  • Iam here 1 months to go time to get ready for Halloween party and candy and cold night and the leaves on the ground from the tree aaaaaahhhh fall time is,they have Halloween candy out already and costume…cant wait…9-16-19..tue…..

  • Missing the part of the “Graveyard Theme’ after the owl approaches, it was cut out because of sponsor plugs but can be found here on YouTube. Perhaps you could edit it onto this existing version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RArIy_SNgM Same with the ending theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11y35JvbC9E

  • This movie literally captivates the complete essence of fall and Halloween. I watch this every year so many times. The Great Pumpkin waltz is the only fall song that actually sounds like fall. This is why Charlie Brown is great. It captures essence of a season in music and visuals.

  • Growing up in Kenya this is all that we knew about Americaand you would think these represents Americans lol. Then you get to USA and nowhere to see these skinny beautiful people, fancy cars having fun. It’s fat people lined up at Burger King and McDonalds to get their Big Macs and bottomless sodas Real shocker USA. We were sold a dream out there for a long time

  • I feel sorry for kids growing up today, the sickness of the internet and the poor excuse for most parents has denied the current generation an opportunity to actually be a kid and enjoy the world around them.

  • Tonight at 8 p.m. on Channel 6 It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. I cannot wait until this comes on. I always look forward to watching these cartoons every holiday. What can I say it’s worth it.its the peanuts. Charlie Brown & the gang is like one of the coolest cartoons ever I think so. Also I’m going to continue to watch them until the the day I die. I even have the Peanuts movie on Blu-ray disc.

  • YouTube deleted ‘It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown’ & right before Halloween. This is how much Google & YouTube care abt children, not all all. They only want money even tho they make sure they force us to watch plenty of their ads tho. Greedy, selfish, heartless, child hating, scumbags.

  • Ty for making this cartoon happen on YouTube this is my favorite Charlie Brown Mimi movie I LOVE IT I’m only 8 I watch this for about 2-8 now I love t

  • Oh Meatball, with you on our side, we will win any battle! Thank you for your service! And kudos to your Pop for the amazing story telling!

  • This has been the soundtrack of every October of my life since I was 12, and it wouldn’t be Halloween without watching it every year. I know the dialogue just about by heart by now, but the music, well, I probably love the music best of all. Happy Halloween, everyone!

  • Those beautiful leaves, that fall sunset…indeed magical! That bright orange pumpkin patch and the simplicity of halloween colors…..Vince Guaraldi….AUTUMN JOY!

  • I love Autumn! The Peanuts gang and Vince Guaraldi’s music take me back to when I was a kid growing up in the 60’s. I still remember watching It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Christmas when they debuted on CBS.

  • Vince Guaraldi was absolutely one of the best Jazz.& Bossa Nova Pianist .He brought Charles Shultz Peanuts Characters to life with his jazzy tunes. He left us way too soon! Im older & still enjoy watching Peanuts to this day!

  • The charlie brown specials are timeless. They hold a special place in my heart, and will forever. I can imagine myself watching these until my final breath at every holiday.

  • I believe the copyright was added in the later edited version of the special, I recall thinking the font used in the copyright didn’t really match the look of the font used for the rest of the credits. It was obviously optically inserted over the previous film when prints were made.

  • THIS IS IT! The version of “Linus and Lucy” we have been waiting for for 54 years! We have created a composite of the flute-driven version of “Linus and Lucy” featured in GREAT PUMPKIN and BOY NAMED CHARLIE BROWN without any sound effects. This is exactly as it is performed at the start of GREAT PUMPKIN. It can be found here https://www.4shared.com/folder/GFC0xWrx/Pumpkin.html

    PLAY IT LOUD!:-)

  • Hands down the best Halloween special ever made. When kids were just kids and didn’t need special effects or super heroes to be entertained.

  • God bless Charles Schultz and Vince Gauraldi! They brought such innocent joy to millions of children and adults with their simplistic and jazzy talents! Trick or Treat was a great time in the 60’s!

  • No matter what is going on in my life these cartoons or this music always makes me happy and lifts my spirits. I cannot help but to smile and start shimmying back and forth to the music.
