I initially though of taking protein power with smoothie to help me be healthy but I researched and found their are serious side effects of using protein.

  • Your cheerful, positive smile and presenting style, gave me a dream to have a healthy life style, now I’m working on it,thank u is not enough for ur great effort on this videos,so I wish the happiest life for you with alots of love.

  • Hi Sadia, I am just in Love with your channel. You were the reason, my plant-based diet got successful.
I add some complete powder in my shakes. It’s with oat, quinoa, rice and beetroot as well as acerola. It helps to burn fat. What do you think about it?

  • Just found Pick Up Limes and subscribed this weekend. Geeking out now, watching all of the videos chronologically. Been vegan since 9/10/11, but was still eating salmon once in a while and just stopped completely last week. That was my last vestige of non-vegan eating that I found so hard to let go. I’m so glad she mentioned omegas. Anyway, I am also gluten-free since September 2018, and so far I’m seeing no gluten here. I assume there will be in future videos, but I can always modify. So happy I found this channel!

  • It’s NOT healthy if you use SOYMILK because SOYMILK is GMO & disrupts HORMONES within the body. CHANGE OUT your milk & then you will have a HEALTHY smoothie. I still LIKED & value your video.

  • blanching your veggies takes out the weird bitter grassy taste. you boil them for maybe a minute or two, throw it in ice water, then dry them off and put them in the freezer. then throw them in your smoothie. I put blanched kale, broccoli, spinach, and zucchini in my smoothies, add other fruits, maybe orange or apple juice for sweetness. the color is terrible, but they are tasty! I also put carrots and beets. you should cook your beets first but the carrots can go in raw.

  • I would never want to become vegan because i just love the taste of dairy products but I still like watching your videos and already made few smoothies following your recipes using almond milk. I wish I could show you, as they look exactly like the one you have made and they are very healthy and delicious.

  • Love making smoothie bolls and I use lactose free cottage cheese because it contains more protion and I am not vegan so I eat/drink still cow mooi but when that is up I have unsweeted Sojamilk in my Refrigerator

  • Thank you for sharing. I like using my homemade quinoa milk in my smoothies. I use a recipe on you tube for rice milk but I use quinoa.

  • I know this is kind of a late comment on your video. I recently subscribed and I’m loving all your videos.
    Love your enthusiasm.
    Keep it up!:) thank you.

  • Hi Sadia!
I am in love with your channel, congratulations!
I noticed you use tofu and soy milk in your receipts, one day in the past I heard that soy is not good for you I am confusing every time I see vegans consuming it freely. I am afraid of including it in my meals, or even buying products that has soy in the ingredients. Could you talk about it and explain the soy myth? Thank you!

  • Hahaha it’s like you read my mind. When you mentioned adding banana, I thought to myself that I prefer to add mangoes. If I don’t have mangoes on hand I add a few grapes. Great tips BTW.

  • I don’t generally drink plant milks and if I do I prefer to make my own. I prefer to get my calcium from plant sources like watercress. I also believe chia seeds have a source of calcium.

  • There is actually no natural soy anywhere in the US. Even the “organic” soy milk or sauce is GMO. Its better to refer to a almond or oat milk.

  • Plants are our friends, veggies and fruits are the best. Natural remedies should be our only way starting now if we want to feel better and forget about sickness. This book of remedies I have helped me a lot ot understand how and why. We need to reject drugs (medicines)!!!

  • Hi Mona. PLEEEEASE tell me which vegan milk is the healthiest. I have acne-prone skin not sure if that’s helpful to know, but I don’t know if I should be drinking soy milk. Lately, I’ve been seeing smoothie videos and people put almond or oat milk. Is it healthier and safer to drink compared to soy milk? Does Soy milk cause breast cancer too? What should I be drinking?
I would love to hear what you know. Really hoping to get some feedback on this. Thank you! <3

  • Idk why but there is something about her that makes you like and trust her! I just saw one of her videos earlier today and ive been binge watching since!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! When I fall off the healthy wagon your videos always give me the motivation to get back on and your delicious, nutritious sweet treats are great for my little boy who needs a very high fibre diet. Bless you x

  • Kya jhoot phekti hai re..jhoot bolne kA bhi ek limit hota hai…jhooti kahin ki..itna aasaani se weight loose hota hai kya..tere paas kya jaadu ka chhadi hai kya..

  • Oh perfect! I love the idea of raw broccoli! I will fill some of these recepies in my popsicle molds and enjoy as a healthy refreshing treat:)

  • I just made a green smoothie with some dark greens.. I couldn’t bear it.. so I kept adding things I found around the kitchen which helped marginally but then I just had a blender full to the brim with a smoothie I could barely drink. But then I found this video and the lemon juice tip fixed the whole thing significantly! I’m so relieved that I don’t have to waste it all.. thank you!!

  • It’s crazy how many different ways you can make one smoothie just by swapping out the milk! I really enjoy your well rounded approach!

  • Adding juice to smoothies that already has fruit isn’t healthy, Fruits already have sugar in them and juice just adds up that sugar. It’s better to use Milk or water.

  • Love this video! And all your work!! I don’t know if you will see this comment but I’d love a video about supplements in smoothies and if you recommend any!!! Keep up the great work!

  • Thank you for this smoothie recipe. I will definitely try it. I usually don’t add sweeteners but if I do I use honey. I may look for the coconut syrup though. My husband likes things sweeter than I do so he may like it.

  • What do you do if you are time crunched in the morning, as a working mom I am always struggling for time., can you make it the night before?

  • For the second smoothie am I doin g something wrong? I use an online nutrition label calculator thing and the information is completely different except for the amount of protein

  • I started drinking smoothies as a Snack replacement with mostly kale and spinach, it was very overwelling at first. them, I found that adding vitamin C in the form of pineapple, helped me stay on my smoothy Snack-track. now, I have reduced my pineapple because of a large amount of sugar but, adding pineapple at first was a great way to keep up my motivation to get in more smoothies than high-calorie low nutrition Snack alternatives.

  • I have more tips! Adding carrot juice, bell peppers, cucumber or ginger can help make a pure veggie smoothie super delicious and sweeter tasting! Adding grass-fed gelatin or collagen is also something that I would recommend to bolster the health value, and you can of course add protein powder but you really need to be thoughtful about what one you were using. I use the Myers Way Paleo Protein!

  • i have insomnia, ever since i started to watch your vids, my sleeping is back into normal, you hypnotize me Mona, your man must be the luckiest man
    on earth.

  • Can you please address if your skin is wrinkle free and youthful looking because of healthy vegan eating or cosmetic procedures?!?

  • My go to recipe is 1/2 cup of apple juice, half cup of coconut milk, one single serve container of strawberry yogurt, one frozen banana, frozen strawberries and raspberries. Add more liquid if needed.

  • Very nice recipe! Açaí is a treasure from both north (Euterpe oleraceae) and south (Euterpe edulis) Brazil! As a Brazilian, and having Portuguese as my mother tongue, let me suggest you to use the “Ç” when writing AÇAÍ (the correct way to write it). So that people could understand why it is pronounced with an “s” sound.:)

  • Acai and cacao!!!!!!
I have eaten a raw traditional acai bowl in Brazil… and acai has natural sugar… it is really healthy thou and recommend has a preworkout / highly productive day super food.

I have a small paperback book on different kinds of smoothies, somehow seeing someone make them on camera make it more exciting to incooperate these into my new healthy lifestyle. Thanks a bunch will have to go look at some of your already made smoothies

  • Fun fact: Breakfast is not really THE most important meal of the day, that is actually fake, but that does not mean it is okay to miss out breakfast.

  • Tried this smoothie recipe with a bit maple syrup instead of coconut nectar. Love it! That cinnamon especially adds great flavor

  • Okay the smoothie looks delicious and I have everything yay! But when you tasted it it looked like you made a funky face like why did it taste like that haha! Probably because of the plastic. Anyways I’m getting my First vitamix tomamrow! Thank you Mona. Keep up the great content.

  • I tried putting chia seeds in a milk or yogurt overnight and it never gelled at all. I was trying to show my Dad the health benefits-and it didn’t work?

  • Thanks for this video! I’ve learnt so much by watching you over the last year or sothank you Would love to see more recipe videos like this. Wondering if you’d recommend adding spinach to this recipe, and if it would alter the taste?

  • I know it’s not a technical a recipe request, but I love love Starbucks, any good options to get at Starbucks instead of a regular Frappuccino or iced latte ( mocha, caramel flavor)… thanks

  • I hate that soy has so much estrogen. It would be so perfect if it didn’t screw with hormones. Can’t wait to try the other options!

  • I do something very similar except I never thought to put cocoa in the smoothie! I did this today and added more ice to make more of a smoothie bowl and put shredded coconut and cacao nibs on top! I think I can barely taste the açai! Since the cacao powder was sooo strong

  • Thought you were gonna make a fruit-free smoothie, because you said no sugar. Basically you can make with any fruits. I never add sugar. Fruits have enough sugar. I like Pitaya! Dragonfruit!!

  • Do most people find edamame flavorless? I love the flavor of it, with a tiny bit of salt to brighten it up (granted, it is a very mild flavor, so I could see how it would easily be hidden in a smoothie)

  • Entertaining With Beth, along with your channel, are my top two favorite cooking channels on YouTube.
I just watched the collaboration; it’s great. Thank you. And thank you for all you recipes. I was just searching for soup recipes I could freeze. ☮️

  • If you live in the UK then you can’t get Thrive. Please link the individual products you recommend so that we can buy them from other sources if Thrive isn’t an option. Thank you

  • What would be a healthy substitute for a maple syrup? My girls love pancakes but love to put a lot of syrup on them.. maybe a healthy pancake recipe?

  • Sadia, I have a question for you. But first let me explain myself first. My sister is currently reading a book written by a nutritionist and this particular book recommends lots of protein in the form of animal products and it says to avoid most starchy foods including fruits. I feel very frustrated because she believes it since it is a register dietitian. Could you help me explain to her why this is not a healthy route for weight loss or over all health? I do not understand how dietitians can have such controversial ideas. Shouldn’t we be all in the same page?

  • Maybe the title was misleading….this is like tips for smoothies, not actually recipes/ideas for smoothies which is what I was expecting. Lol.:) I love Beth, though I’m no longer subscribed to her… I still head to her channel sometimes for her baked goods recipes.

  • Water is the only liquid I use now for my smoothies. I don’t have to shop for water. Saves money. And my nutrients are coming from the items I put together.

  • Nice info!!
I bought coconut nectar from TradersJoe and after a while it got really hard I couldn’t even take out. Does that happen to yours…I thought maybe is not pure.

  • Question: do you use the tofu out of the package or do you prepare it some way so it can be bendable to use in the smoothie ( like make it soft to use)? dumb question I know.

  • OMG Sadia. Every time I watch your videos I would like to be a vegan person 😉 but it’s just that I have twin boys that sometimes I don’t have time to do everything from scratch. I do some changes at a time, like drink more smoothies like those. I love your channel. Thanks for doing this:) Cheers!
