    blend it and drink it.

    and for the rest of the day eat healthy snake or 2 solid meals.
    and you will get there.

Also, if you put juice which are from the shelf, won’t they have preservatives and if you buy preservative free juice, won’t it have sugar which are not natural sugars. I initially though of taking protein power with smoothie to help me be healthy but I researched and found their are serious side effects of using protein.

Been vegan since 9/10/11, but was still eating salmon once in a while and just stopped completely last week. That was my last vestige of non-vegan eating that I found so hard to let go. I’m so glad she mentioned omegas. Anyway, I am also gluten-free since September 2018, and so far I’m seeing no gluten here. I assume there will be in future videos, but I can always modify.   • blanching your veggies takes out the weird bitter grassy taste. you boil them for maybe a minute or two, throw it in ice water, then dry them off and put them in the freezer. then throw them in your smoothie. I put blanched kale, broccoli, spinach, and zucchini in my smoothies, add other fruits, maybe orange or apple juice for sweetness. the color is terrible, but they are tasty! I also put carrots and beets. you should cook your beets first but the carrots can go in raw.

I wish I could show you, as they look exactly like the one you have made and they are very healthy and delicious.

    I noticed you use tofu and soy milk in your receipts, one day in the past I heard that soy is not good for you I am confusing every time I see vegans consuming it freely.   • Hahaha it’s like you read my mind. When you mentioned adding banana, I thought to myself that I prefer to add mangoes. If I don’t have mangoes on hand I add a few grapes. Great tips BTW.

  • I don’t generally drink plant milks and if I do I prefer to make my own. I prefer to get my calcium from plant sources like watercress. I also believe chia seeds have a source of calcium.

  • There is actually no natural soy anywhere in the US. Even the “organic” soy milk or sauce is GMO. Its better to refer to a almond or oat milk.

  • Plants are our friends, veggies and fruits are the best. Natural remedies should be our only way starting now if we want to feel better and forget about sickness. This book of remedies I have helped me a lot ot understand how and why. We need to reject drugs (medicines)!!!

  • I just made a green smoothie with some dark greens.. I couldn’t bear it.. so I kept adding things I found around the kitchen which helped marginally but then I just had a blender full to the brim with a smoothie I could barely drink. But then I found this video and the lemon juice tip fixed the whole thing significantly! I’m so relieved that I don’t have to waste it all.. thank you!!

  • Adding juice to smoothies that already has fruit isn’t healthy, Fruits already have sugar in them and juice just adds up that sugar. It’s better to use Milk or water.

  • I started drinking smoothies as a Snack replacement with mostly kale and spinach, it was very overwelling at first. them, I found that adding vitamin C in the form of pineapple, helped me stay on my smoothy Snack-track. now, I have reduced my pineapple because of a large amount of sugar but, adding pineapple at first was a great way to keep up my motivation to get in more smoothies than high-calorie low nutrition Snack alternatives.

  • I have more tips! Adding carrot juice, bell peppers, cucumber or ginger can help make a pure veggie smoothie super delicious and sweeter tasting! Adding grass-fed gelatin or collagen is also something that I would recommend to bolster the health value, and you can of course add protein powder but you really need to be thoughtful about what one you were using. I use the Myers Way Paleo Protein!

My sister is currently reading a book written by a nutritionist and this particular book recommends lots of protein in the form of animal products and it says to avoid most starchy foods including fruits. I feel very frustrated because she believes it since it is a register dietitian. Could you help me explain to her why this is not a healthy route for weight loss or over all health? I do not understand how dietitians can have such controversial ideas. Shouldn’t we be all in the same page?

  • Water is the only liquid I use now for my smoothies. I don’t have to shop for water. Saves money. And my nutrients are coming from the items I put together.
