How many calories does ballroom dancing burn? – Slower paced styles will expend between 150 and 220, while quicker types will range between 250 and 320 per hour. Belly dancing calories burned – Roughly 270-320 for less intense versions, and between 290 and 360 for faster & higher intensity styles.   • Watching her IG videos of her fitness classes. It’s watching someone know the dance moves ahead and barely explains the moves. Most of the class is trying to catch up and looking a bit lost. To Amanda, she’s like an energizer bunny with being a professional Rockette, a trained dancer with a cheerleader attitude. Makes everything look like it’s easy for her but that’s with yearssss of professional experience.

    It’s like my PTSD of being lost in Zumba.

  • I really love this workout video! I do it everyday and I’m slowly improving on the arms and starting to get through it without dropping them! The routines are so fun, sassy and high energy which I love! I’ve tried A lot of dance cardio work outs on YouTube and they all seem too easy and slow and I end up not sweating as much as I would like, but this one does the job. I don’t think it’s very beginner friendly and more on the advanced side as you need to pick up the movements fairly quickly in order to get the full intensity of the workout but that’s fine for me as it’s right up my street.   • This workout was really difficult for me to follow. I’m pretty advanced and I normally have no trouble completing a workout, but I could barely keep up. And the instructions were really vague so it took me a few rounds to grasp what I was supposed to do and by that time she moved on. Also, I felt like this workout was really unbalanced. She favored the right side and some moves didn’t even do the left side so I had to switch sides myself and that got me even more confused. Lastly, it annoyed me on the arm part that she kept saying it was the last move and then just kept adding new moves

  • theory: the worst punishment in hell is actually just this arm workout, except it lasts forever and satan (who is leading the workout) won’t stop saying ‘just a little bit longer!’ with an encouraging smile

  • I love her dance workout videos! I track my calories too and what I realised was that since this is a dance workout, you sometimes don’t know the steps and so I too would burn 150 odd calories. But once i did the video 3-4 times, i got a better grasp of the steps allowing me to do them in a better manner and then i was burning about 200 calories. I think its a great cardio workout, its just 15 minutes, its fun and supplements my workouts realllllyyyyyy well

  • Popsugar, you’ve been in the game long enough to know that a video instructor gives “mirror” cues. That is the instructor cues right leg, but she’s technically using the left leg. I’ve been avoiding Pop for a long time, and I finally relent only to be disappointed!

  • A lot people commenting its too fast, but it can be great that it moves relatively quickly… since it’s a video, you can pause and workshop the moves while you’re learning and when you revist the workout, you can have a powerful 30min workout without sitting through the instructions. The right/left issue is a bit of a pain, but if you have the access/ability, I just put my computer facing a full length mirror so I don’t have to mentally reverse it, and we’re still on the same side.

  • Too fast, I couldn’t follow her well and I do workouts a lot. I m sorry to say that I couldn’t wait for it to finish! The moves felt quite dated and I just felt as though I was jumping around a lot. Compare this to workouts by Tanju Zumba. It’s good to try new things though and I appreciate her energy, she obviously has very strong arms ��

  • I really doubt it burns 260-360 calories. A HIIT workout burns 400 in about an hour So this being half the time and possibly half the actual work It would sadly prob only burn at most 150-200 calories
    Edit: and that would be if you’re on the bigger side, sadly smaller people tend to burn less calories when working out

  • Even though I know I won’t be able to do everything that fast like them and I’m terrible at dancing this is still such a brilliant idea. Dance cardio is the best cardio ever because it’s fun but if burns a lot of calories.

  • Ok, honestly I appreciate the free workout but there are a few problems here. 1. MIRROR the video. Please. 2. You’re going way too fast. I’m not stupid or unsporty I just don’t know your sets yet. 3. Tell us what you will do before you do it. The counting isn’t as important. “Fore, kick, back, right” 4. Count right please! It’s not 1, 1, 2, 1. It’s 1, 2, 3, 4. 5. We need more breaks. There’s no way we can stay hydrated like this. A water break of a minute in the middle and maybe 2 more breaks that are 30 s. 6. The arms set is dangerous. Stop telling people to keep their arms up even though they hurt badly. You have to listen to your body, especially beginners. You can get torn muscle tissue if you do it anyway. 7. Some movements are a little old school. You should stretch your legs before you kick, you shouldn’t rotate your head 360°. People can get injured if you don’t prepare them properly. In modern sports lessons they go about these “dangerous” or fast/stretchy movements a little more careful. So thanks again but please consider improving these videos a bit. And stay safe everyone out there, make breaks when you need them, TAKE YOUR ARMS DOWN. It’s ok, you’re doing great.

I calculated the calories I burn from exercise and just for being alive and it’s 2509, then I calculated the calories I eat and they are roughly 1500.   • I had such a hard time keeping up! I had to stop almost half way through I just got so frustrated…too bad too. This did look like fun. The instructions were just a bit confusing and went by too quickly, I got worn out just trying to figure out what was next!

  • This is a joke right? Man, no human being can burn 850 calories in 30 minutes and I don’t care who you are. You can be an olympic swimmer and powerlifter in one person. At least not 850 calories from your fat storage. Your body would shut you off right at the start of such intensity. Even if pro endurance athletes can sustain a decent caloric burn throughout a race, they still replenish their glycogen with energy bars and drinks. And that is simply not applicable to a regular person. Regular person is trying to pull those calories out of their fat storage in order to achieve what they started their workout for in the first place. Isn’t it? You use fancy terms Yuri, but you are simply misleading people. It is all about how big a calorie deficit you can create throughout a day, not how many calories you can burn. Because if I, as an amateur athlete, can burn around 4000 calories in a day (which btw consists of around 6-8 hours of low to moderate intensity exercise) being on my 1500 calorie diet, I can only pull so much. That is my sweet spot for fat loss. I can do it day in day out, but not many people can. Anyone attempting to lose some body fat needs to work out that sweet spot. How big a calorie deficit they can sustain on a daily basis. In other words finding a sweet spot with the minimum calories consumed and the most work done. You are obviously after a demographic wanting a quick fix for a structurally broken system. A lot of disappointment you are selling here my friend.

Omg my heart was beating so fast I thought I was gonna pass out, My “abs” hurt so badly at the end but it was a good pain yk. Definitely will be doing this tomorrow bc I actually liked the pain wow.

  • I don’t understand how you count the calories but anyways you don’t burn 360-540 calories from dancing once to your kpop choreography, you need around 45mins to 1hr normal workout to burn the 360 calories, and around the same of dance, depending on how much intense it is. ✨

  • This is IMPOSSIBLE to follow! She doesn’t mirror, she doesn’t forecast what moves are up next, and no move is performed for more than 4 counts so it’s like acrobatics for your brain. No thank you

  • The body movements incorporated in the workout are great, but the warm up moves were done way too fast and jerkily for any unfit person over 30. For older folks, I highly recommend warming up at a much slower and more leisurely pace for at least 10 minutes and then stretching for a good five minutes before doing any strenuous exercise.

  • I have seen many videos on YouTube how to burn 100 calories in 5 minutes and they all are very hard you will feel like you’re going to pass out as a beginner I can’t do them I always prefer doing this kind of workout for beginners if this workout really burns 100 calories I’ll be so excited because this is the most easy way to burn calories every day

  • I’ve always been self conscious of me belly and stretch marks and this actually helps! You’d think it wouldn’t because all the giggling going on, but I love the workout �� I’m definitely doing more. I feel like it will help with my confidence!
