  • Were our ancestors really eating fruit/veg/grains/meat/nuts on a regular basis? Hard to believe. How many animals are not eating grains but still perfectly healthy?   • While you are stuck back in 1998 please bring back Coolio’s jams. We can cure nearly all western disease with this diet: breakfast: avocado, egg, fruit, nut (soaked overnight), olive (and oil), coconut. other than this, 100% pastured and wild caught meats and vegetables. Not low fat. NO sweeteners. No grains. No vegetable or seed based fats. Only dairy from A2 countries (or goat dairy). If you are fighting disease or obesity look into a very low carb diet to induce ketosis with maintenance through intermittent fasting. You’re welcome Johns Hopkins.

  • Hey Doctor Mike, there’s a typo in your calorie definition. 1 Kilocalorie = 1 Calorie (as shown on food), not “calorie” with a lower case ‘c’. 1 Calorie = 1000 calories = 1 Kilocalorie. That capitalization on the ‘c’ is important. 😉

    How do I know how many calories are in a food after cooking it?

    Just an example: let’s say I make a burger and melt some cheese on the top of it, I know how many calories are in the cheese raw, but how do i know the amount that it has after melted?

  • So i have a question, i’m 6,6 and i weigh 222 lbs. Since last week i started counting my macro’s and my daily need of calories. If i want to bulk up i need;
    3531 calories
    258 grams of proteïn
    82 grams of fat
    440 grams of carbs

    If i want to cut i need;
    2821 calories
    258 grams of proteïn
    82 grams of fat
    264 grams of carbs

    Normally i eat around 2400/2500 calories a day.
    My question now is, what will happen if i start eating 2821 calories with those exact grams of proteïn, fat and carbs?

    Since i normally eat less, will i bulk up and gain more fat? Or will my body react positively because it truly needs those amounts of calories and grams?

    I’m from Holland so i may have made some grammar mistakes��
