  • Hey Cassey, I just completed the first day of the Beginners Calendar! I cannot wait to see how much I improve throughout this month. I have to say, right now I need to work on my breathing. Thank you.
Edit: It is Day 27 of the Beginners Calendar and I have just redone this video. Wow, it is still difficult to do some of the moves in this video. The difficulty is now more of pushing yourself instead of needing to pause the video to take a break. I am now able to hold my legs much straighter throughout a movement and my core strength is much stronger. I am hoping to continue doing Cassey’s pilates videos but I want to revisit this video once in a while to remind myself of the correct breathing and posture in these movements.

  • Great idea but this was a mess imagine their self-esteem after this video I feel so bad for them I know there was a meaning for this video but you could have executed a lot better

  • When she said that no one got it right and showed the group I tried to pair them. Got them all right
When you internalize body and self esteem issues so much that comparing weight is easy. All of these ladies are so beautiful

  • You never cease to amaze me! How you’re doing this with no breaks or pauses, out on a hot beach, and still looking perfect and beautiful, I will never know. You are a super woman!!

  • Anybody else physically unable to do the roll up at the beginning of the video? If so, how did you work up to it or what did you do instead? I really want to get there but I don’t know how!

  • I’ve followed all the challenge strictly and today it’s my 21st day (kinda sad now)! It is the first time I managed to be so consistent in doing sport and I loved the challenge! I see my body really changed, it’s stronger, toned and I feel better with it and with myself! I will go on following the videos and I want to know more about yoga she made me discover! Follow Juliana, she’s amazing!

  • I wanted to try beginners as an avid excerciser because i wasnt sure how her programs would be, wayy to easy and slow for me. Time to try out her more advanced. Im excited!

  • Great class thank you. I have only very recently felt inspired to try pilates. i have had a loose yoga practice for years and never felt like i have improved in my posture or flexibility. This is the second pilates class i have done and i feel so much more present in my body and grounded. Thank you

  • I love this class. I did Classic Pilates a while ago, and am so happy to find this class. I had some muscle memory, which helped. Your instructions and reminders about breathing were great. Thank you!

  • This is extremely harmful to the women in the video and girls watching the video. I really don’t get the point of the video either, they should of have stuck to the fact that being the same weight doesn’t mean having the same body type and that is ok, today beauty standards should not define what size you should be, but instead we should encourage others to feel more confident with their own self.smh

  • Me watching the video: yeaah this looks easy I can do it
Me doing the the video: i can’t breath My legs are reallly SoooooooOoooore

  • This video was super fun to go through! it went by in a breeze!! Day 1 of the Beginners Calendar done!

Edit: almost two hours later, and my legs are sooo super shaky from all the leg workouts. Haven’t moved them this much since quarantine started!!

  • Hi!!! Thank you for this video. I always wanted to try Pilates. This is what I really needed these days. Thank you also for the calendar! I hope I can keep up with my daily pilates exercises and make my body stronger.

  • After being young and doing this for the first time, then getting sick with CVS and living from bed, to now being here again after years of slow progress… I’m so glad this video is still here:’)

  • i just finished this 21 day challenge. I am really out of shape (& 60 years old!) and this challenge kicked my butt! I am ready to continue my fitness journey and Boho Beautiful will be my go to!

  • I started planning this video a while ago, and I was very aware of how sensitive this topic was going to be. We needed to find women who were comfortable discussing their weight on camera and we needed to produce this video in the most compassionate way. I didn’t want anyone to run off set crying or upset. I wanted to have an open discussion with real feelings about some real taboo topics.

I’m currently reading the comments on here and it seems that the feelings on this video are split 50/50. Some people are moved to tears because they’re incredibly touched…and then others are very upset, saying it was a terrible, pointless video meant to make women feel bad about themselves.

So, what was the point? To show that labels and numbers have as much power as we want to give them. They can make us feel bad. They can make us feel good. Or they can just be data points to guide our next steps. But your health, which includes both your mental health, your physical health as well as your happiness is something that cannot be accurately assessed by any number. A number does it’s best to help medical professionals categorize your health as a starting point, but it’s not the entire story. Health really does look different on everyone.

This content is meant to make you think. Yeah, it’s uncomfortable, but when did we ever become smarter, better humans by being comfortable all the time? We grow the most when we’re challenged – and I’m talking emotionally challenged too. If this video made you feel a certain way, take a moment to reflect and ask yourself why you feel that way. Can you dig deep and dissect this feeling further? Some of you may find that you need improvement in the area of not letting numbers control your happiness. And others of you may just find that you don’t want a relationship with numbers at all, and that my content didn’t help you achieve that. Both are okay to feel. What’s not okay is calling people derogatory names and spreading hatred. I will never allow that here on my channel.

Just so you know, each woman was mentally prepped for the shoot and knew that we’d be discussing weight and other sensitive body image topics. Our producer interviewed each woman who was casted one by one and in person, and made sure they were comfortable with the topics before committing to the shoot. The entire Blogifam and the crew was very careful in making sure the women felt good during the entire process, from casting to shoot day to video release. The mental health of each of the women was my first priority.

  • I had four wisdom teeth removed this week! I’ve been taking it easy but didn’t want to lose all my gains in my fitness. This workout was great for gentle movement and muscle awareness to keep me on track.

  • I remember I have done this video long time ago but it got lost in my list! It was soooo good, I am so glad it came up in my recommendations today! Thank you!

  • Thank you! I’m on holiday for 2 weeks and this was a perfect replacement to the class I normally attend. Super clear instruction and a great range of exercises. This makes home/remote based Pilates really accessible and easy!

  • My wife and I have been enjoying our first pilates experience with this class what a great experience, we’re feeling stronger and more flexible with each session. I think we must have done it 20 times over the last 2 months. Thank you Beth! P.S. Do you have any office chair substitutes that you find are good for the body? Rotating between a standing desk & exercise ball seems to be a popular combination? Any thoughts are appreciated:)

  • Disgusting how they called them obsese or overweight! As long as your happy and healthy everything is okay! These woman are all okay! BMI bs.

  • How did Bynay, knowing she was only 121lbs ever think she’d be the same as Irene! This experiment was so messed up and unnecessary, I hope the women’s self esteem wasn’t affected to badly:(

  • The yoga instructors body fat percentage was higher because she had bigger boobs. If you have bigger boobs it can add to your body fat percentage. The rest of her body was leaner and more toned than the other girl. This is why at the end of the day all of these metrics alone aren’t a true reflection of overall “health”

  • Beth I have been doing pilates now for 3 years and still keep being confused by when I should be breathing in and when I should be breathing out. Is it possible for you to do a 5 minute video for all of us aspis out there plus all pilate beginners where you just do 2 or 3 reps of each sort of exercise and telling us each time when to breath? I watch one which says you breath out to contract the transvers abdomenous or any time you have effort. Then I hear ‘breath in, breath out…’ and it’s the opposite. If there is already a good one in your library then a link will be great.

The other thing is that your brilliant full body workout in 13 minutes has some really great new (to me) material but your instructions are coming in a bit late so by the time you say it, you are already in the right position for the next exercise whilst I have only just realised where I’m supposed to be. I can keep up IF I get the instruction early enough. I keep having to run it back which is a little frustrating. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM so not complaining, just wondered if next video you could cue it toward the end of previous exercise otherwise I have to watch my phone through the whole routine and it takes something away from it.

  • I dont get her instructions? Says to do this only do this video 1x a week for the challenge? How is that supposed to give you any results whatsoever

  • Hi, thank you for this class. It is suited for beginners, and a nice pace for learning. I felt an uncomfortable tension on my neck, with the exercises at the beginning. any tips how I can improve that?

  • Hiya I have a question. Just started the beginners calendar today, should I be doing any of the other videos or only the specified videos once per day according to the regiment?

  • I almost do all your 10-20 min exercises good or bad i am definitely trying improve myself. But drop & crosses i fail every time

  • This is a perfect beginners class. I have tried other beginner classes and they were SO hard. This was challenging but more about focusing on positioning, breathing, and movement. Loved it

  • i should of never watched this video my confidence my bmi is higher than ALL of theirs. and I’m young. i way to much. Cry every night. go on strict diets. Still nothing I’m crying rn still

  • I love her videos and rotate through them a couple of days a week. Question: In this video she did not take even a tiny break in between exercises (for example, the whole inner thighs series consisted of a few exercises. Is it possible you did not put your legs down, not even once?? How bad is it to take a 10-second break?

  • Notice how weight and BMI don’t actually represent their body types well in the least. Even body fat percentage. Numbers don’t seem to represent bodies well. Why does everyone care about the numbers?

  • I really loved the workout!! I am a new youtuber and doing a 14day pilates challenge I will do this as part of my challenge!! Thank you cant wait to check out your other workouts

  • Hey I’m a complete beginner and I’m just wondering if it’s normal for me to not be able to raise my legs up to the ceiling 90 degrees like that? I mean, I can lift them up to about 70 degrees maybe but not 90. Will that improve eventually?

  • I’d like to get a copy of some of the 30min workouts that I can use off line as I’ll be travelling remotely and won’t have internet access. Is this possible, I don’t mind paying.

  • First time for a Pilates video. I had a hard time knowing when I was to breath in and when I was to breath out. A little more description with each exercise would be helpful, versus just breath in, now breath out. Thank you for this video, overall I enjoyed it.

  • Thank you so much. This was perfect during this time. You took your tome to explain every movement, every muscle and when to breathe. The breathing! It’s so important to tell us when. Thanks again and God bless

  • I love this video. I saved it to share with my doctor. He is always strictly using the bmi chart. Does not take into account bone mass or muscle.

  • The body builder she is beautiful like wow she’s beautiful (I’m a girl by the way) I want to look a little bit like that as a female wrestler in middle school

  • Omg Juliana this killed me! But I’m proud of myself for making through it, now I feel so so good. As always you guys are the best! Namaste

  • Okey guys we’re doing quarantine glow ups! I’m going to post my results and tell you that this challange work or not

    Before:
    Waistline: 64 cm
    Thighs: both 51
    Booty: 86
    Hips: 86
    Weight: 49/50

    1 week: done
I can see a little bit difference on thighs, but all dimensions are same as before

    2 week:
I’m happy bc as you can see, there’s some of good results. I can see that i’m more muscular (especially legs) and i lost a bit of my weight, too
    Waistline: 63
    Thighs: both 50
    Booty: 86
    Hips: 84
    Weight: 48/49

    3 week:
I messed up. During this week i wasn’t eating healthy and all. So that’s why i gained weight and probably that’s why the results are not that spectacular. But it’s okey. I’m happy with these results and i’m going to do another challange
    Waistline: 63
    Thighs: both 50
    Booty: 86
    Hips: 84
    Weight: 49
Ok after thinking I’m really happy(i lost 2 cm in hips!!!) and i’d recommed this to my friends

  • If you hadn’t worked out in years this is impossible lol I really suggest mastering one excercise at a time and workout on stretching the tight hamstrings

  • Wow they’re so emotional there, bmi and fat percentage just give them more info to be aware of their condition so they can decide to keep it or maintain it…. Notice how they think they’re ” labelled ” while these info did’nt come from nowhere but there’re actually studies. That girl is obese but she’s so delusional… she has to admit the truth to be healthy because being obese is not healthy

  • EVERYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT BMI: DON’T USE IT AS A SERIOUS MARKER ON YOUR HEALTH. IT’S BULL. body fat is way more accurate and helpful. please stay healthy and live a good life

  • This is my third time trying this! My goal is that I can finish the challenge this time! Day one! ❤️

    Holding myself accountable!
    Day 1 7/2/20
    Day 4 7/5/20

Day 12 7/13/20 Starting round two now!

Totally forgot to comment but today is day 21!!! My first time getting all the way through this challenge ❤️

  • am i the only one who can’t really suck in my stomach when i inhale? i can tense the muscles but i can’t actually suck it inward i’ve been trying but it’s extremely difficult and uncomfortable. i can suck in when i exhale, but i don’t quit get how i’m supposed to just suck it in and then in some more it has to come back out at some point,, am i just confused lol

  • I LOVE this series! Have done the challenge a couple of times now. Added a 1KG ankle weight on the working leg for an extra challenge as I got stronger.

  • Did anyone else not do this perfectly? I was struggling so hard, wrists ached, arms shook, and had to take breaks. Feel like I’m the only person like this sometimes!

  • They don’t know how much….much effort it takes to get to Irene’s body.
    Wow….they just say she’s obese
    Damn
The look on her face killed me.

  • I am on my way to finish this challenge.I love to challenge myself on what I love.
1day-I was ambitious on it.But it was hard
2 day-Still hard and I am sure I am gonna push it
3day-Some poses are coming slightly easy to me
    4day-Same like 3rd day
5day-My belly changes and I am passionate about it
6day-I did it and I can feel muscles on my belly
still doing,I am gonna write it down ASAP

  • Day 1 ✅
    Day 2 ✅
    Day 3 ✅
    Day 4 ✅
    Day 5 ✅
    Day 6 ✅
Day 7 ✅ ( my body continue to be tightened)
Day 8 ✅ (feeling a little bit tired, but doesnt matter)

  • I’m starting this tomorrow, I’m serious about losing weight and toning up for summer so either I do these 21 days or die trying lol

Day 1: not gonna lie, shit burned because I’m not used to doing body weight, I normally do cardio but it was a good kind of burn, I hope I’m not too sore tomorrow:)

  • Please, please, please redo this video, but take the demo sections out. They take away from the flow of the exercise sequences. Best core workout hands down otherwise!!

  • I have neck, upper back and lower back prob. My chiropractor told me that I need to slowly strengthen my muscle. Your video helped me though today is the 2nd only, but i really enjoyed it. It’s easy yet intense for me! Big thumbs up!!

  • Doing home workout for past 2 weeks coz of quarantine and tried yoga and pilates for the first time. I’ve been doing gym workouts, HIIT… but I must say, pilates is waaay challenging. Discovered my zero flexibility. I will do this 21 day full body pilates challenge. First day today. Goodluck to me.

  • I got it perfectly right. I think it’s because I’ve spent years in fashion, as well as years around a health conscious mom, as well as around women of all sizes. I GOT IT RIGHT!!

  • Wow… that was hard!!! And then I heard “let’s do the other side!” Arrrgh!!! Who said we had two sides? Damn… 😉 I did what I can and it was fun:)

  • I am going to do this and I want to share it because I have a bad habit of not committing to anything.
    I am 5″8 and 168 lbs
    Waist: 35.5
    Thighs: 25

    Day 1:

  • The main problem with this is that I don’t know if I’m doing this right? But I’m just starting doing this on YouTube cause I want to get flexible.

  • Does anyone else think the girls who were around 117 pounds weren’t actually 117? They were definitely on the shorter side, but they were quite curvy. Idk, maybe the whole thing was set up. Either way, the video was probably well intended, but kinda weird vibes lol

  • Hi! Thank you for posting this great workout out here in Youtube. I have a question, what should I do if I can’t roll myself all the way up? Thank you in advance.

  • Am I doing something wrong my hip flexers hurt? ” If that’s what they’re called”. Am I supposed to do some stretches before the exercise starts? This is obviously my first video lol

  • I get a stinging pain on my lower back when I try to roll myself up. What’s wrong with me and should I keep doing this workout or no?

  • I’m not sure if my background in yoga and strength training affected my experience, but this was really easy for me. I thought that I needed a beginner’s Pilates class because I’ve never done this before, but I was fairly shocked that none of the moves were hard for me. What are some more advanced pilates videos that you recommend?

  • I often wonder what I would be classified as. I am a ectomorph 5’8 115 lbs. Once I spoke to a nutritionist and found out I am too thin and it’s not safe to be at the weight that I am. However, I am a size 4 dress. That’s definitely not the thinnest.

  • I’m done with this 21 day challenge. And i must say my flexibility has improved a lot and toned my body. Maybe will continue this to 30 days and combination with other pilates yoga workout.

  • Ok so, im over here looking through the comments seeing how people couldn’t get past this one part further in the video. And im like i cant even keep my back on the ground or keep my neck up ;-;

  • Hi I really really love your classes, but the sound is a little offthe sound of your voice in the class is so low compared to the website sound and music which is loud and really blasts out if you have turned up the volume to hear the class. Thanks for the great classes!

  • what the f* was the point of this video? I already had seconds thoughts about you but now I’m decided. I’m so sorry they’ve been through this, I hope this doesn’t have a severe impact on their health, mental and physical

  • Thank you so absolutely much! I was trying to find something for myself, that I would enjoy for years now. Today I found this video, tried it and absolutely fell in love with it. I will come back! Thank you and good health <3

  • Thank you for the class. I have been able to enjoy a class in a huge while and truly enjoyed yours. Looking forward to progress with your videos.Thank you so much for posting this.

  • Managed to tweak my lower back after the 7th day. Inflamed muscles and had to stop for 3 days to heal up. Maybe I’m not holding the side planks straight enough?

  • Hi, guys!!! First of all i’d like to thank you for all this great work you are doing/sharing! Thank you so much for that!!! Ive been enjoying your challenges a lot! You sweat but then you get a wonderful reward of seeing the results:) I was wondering if it could be possible to do a similar sort of challenge for back flexibility. Of course you include a lot of asanas/exercises which help enormously with the back plasticity..but i would like to get into a bit of a more advanced level:) Thank you guys so much again for your amazing work!!

  • This video is my punishment for never sticking to the plan and giving up after a week. I always know what’s coming and how much Im going to ache the next day so hopefully one day I will learn to stick to the plan so I don’t always have to start over with this torture xD

  • This is cringe, “How do you feel about being overweight and obese?”, that’s kind of mean, those women looked like they were gonna cry

  • Found this class so helpful. I’ve used Pilates in the past but it got lost somewhere! With lower back stenosis, my consultant has advised that I find it again. Will continue to do this session as some exercises were challenging. I’ll aim for 3 sessions a week. Hope that’s not overdoing it? Thank you x
