  • Well most people want to be thin and that’s what they think is healthy

    You bring up financial which definitely limits people’s mindset,me for instance works 60 hours a week with four kids that go to different schools and sports and i work nights which screws with my 5 hours of sleep yet i still find an hour and a half each day i workout

    I was working out 6 days with one day off which was literally eating my lunch i can barely afford which led me to 3/2

    Point I’m trying to get at is do it anyways,regardless of what someone would suggest as the 5-23 things you should be doing

    Ok so someone isn’t eating right but they can still learn the movements while they figure it out

    You are just one of the many i follow in the fitness industry

  • Great video. However you mentioned genetics play a key role and said your own calfs are not usually expected in someone with your appearance. You only share 50% of your genetic code from your parents, or share 50% with a full sibling. So your father for example could be a ectomorph and you be endomorph and your brother a mesomorph. You could all have different heights, hair colour, skin tone and store body fats, and grow muscle mass in different ways. But saying your genetics and appearance on average is tied to possibly smaller calfs than most, is misinformation. ��

    2) In USA its illegal to consume steroids = All Blogers MUST say they are natural.
    3) The end justifies the means = Everybody will benefit from saying you are natural. Great for motivating masses. Holy mission.
    4) Training naturally requires conceptually different approach.
    5) Lookup unbiased medical studies and experiments on muscle growth. Learn the topic in and out.
    6) Every idiot can train 3 hours a day and achieve good results but not everybody can achieve same results in a quarter of the time = Train smart
    7) Slap yourself for being naive up to now.

  • Thanks Dana. I really enjoyed listening to you. I started my fitness journey a while ago and I’ve done all of the things that you talked about in this video. It’s so important to have a support system in place while you’re trying to reach what ever goals you have set forth for yourself. My husband and our adult children are mine and it makes me feel good knowing I have there love and support. As for every one else, I could give a shit! If they don’t like it to damn bad. I’m in my 50’s which isn’t always easy but I’m happy to say despite my age I’m gaining strength and endurance and I’m loving every minute of it!
    I look forward to more of these video’s. Keep them coming.
    Also your a big motivating factor for me. I so admire you and what you have accomplished with your body. You look amazing!

  • he first one was the main one for me… I started for looks, but now I like getting better at stuff. I like being able to do push-ups (not on my knees!). My next goal is to be able to do a pull-up. Natacha, you became my role model NOT for your looks (yes, you’re gorgeous too… but there are more gorgeous fitness vloggers…), but because of the Navy Seals, US army and US marine fitness tests. It showed what a badass you are, and I want to be able to do that. Looks are nice, but it’s not my main goal anymore…

  • Loved this video! I don’t usually comment on videos but I need some advice please? I’m in a calorie defecit 6/7 days. I did an online macro calculator and my carbs for the day should be 186g but most days I eat 230g according to fitness pal. How am I suppose to cut down the carbs without reducing my calories? If I don’t eat carbs I don’t stay full. Any advice would be great, thank you x

  • I 100% agree to the fact that people around you will never understand why eating healthy is important to you. I live in hostel and all my friends eat whatever and whenever they want. I like to eat healthy. It’s something that makes me happy but they persuade me sometimes to have a drink or eat pizza. But the more they persuade me, the more I’m motivated to say no. So it’s good but i wish they’d sometimes understand that I need support from my peer.

  • I personally believe GENETIC is key, I started gym 1 and a half year before my African friend and we trained together, exact same training and same diet we were neighbors and after a year of training together my friend become bigger and way leaner than me, however I a was slightly stronger…Black people are Blessed with Excellent GENETICs

  • I wish people would’ve told me about supplements specifically BCAAs. I didn’t learn about them until like two years ago, and I use to wonder to myself “how do people workout multiple days in a row when I feel like my arms are going to fall off and/or I can’t sit on the toilet??” Then I finally heard about BCAAs, and I wonder why people let me suffer for so long?   • Thank you for the great video. I started the whole fitness journey 4 years ago. It helped me to get out of an abusive relationship and build up my confidence and life goals from a scratch. I feel so much better today and for a tiny person I am finally a little bit shredded and muscular (my friends would say I’m too critical about me again hahaha). But I still don’t stick to a goal plan and your video reminded me of a book that inspired me those 4 years ago from a navy seal who uses the same SMART technique.
    Tracking progress is a little bit difficult because I always have to change locations because of my German police training and they closed all their academy gyms thanks to covid.
    But I’m still determined to reach my goals and your video was a good lecture about what’s important. (And hell….I have to take meal prep serious!)

  • I’m only on tip 1 but it is so inspiring… I only think that lifting heavy with deadlift and squats will keep my physique how I want it! I’ve been training like this but I am losing the love for it! I am working so hard mentally to be kind to myself and not do the squats and deadlifts and instead I am loving spinning classes.   • I have a question and idk if you’ll be able to answer but just maybe from what you’ve learned, do you think its still possible to lose weight whilst being more sedentary during quarantine cus we are at home so we are sitting a loooot more like literally all day except for workout time, and I wanted to know if you can still lose weight when sometimes eating carbs for both lunch and dinner. I am trying to shift my family to brown rice but as a staple its always going to be rice for lunch and sometimes at dinner we do avacado toasts, soups, salads, but at the same time we also do many days pasta and other carbs like that. I just wanted to know your take on if it is still possible to lose weight if I portion control with the same foods. I am seeing small changes (i started doing the chloe ting workouts and making changes to how i eat again) but i cant really tell if i am or not sigh. all my love <3

  • for number five i don’t think that is necessarily true. The fact of the matter is you really shouldn’t be working out 24/7 which means you would have breaks. So really you need to stick to that workout so that you don’t miss results. Missing one workout can effect your body. I’m sorry if some disagree but I think you should stick to your weekly routine of whatever you do and get it over with don’t sell yourself short and miss a day. You will be missing a day of results. It’s kind of like excusing yourself from becoming a better you. I know you might be thinking im overreacting over one workout but its not just that you might excuse yourself more often when you start doing it. Strong self discipline is really crucial to losing weight as well.

  • When I started my healthy lifestyle two and a half months ago, my husband was so negative and not supportive. It hurt my feelings so bad. Now, I’m 17 lbs lighter and feeling great, and he compliments me every single day. ❤️ He just bought me a food scale and a weight scale today, along with some new shoes ��. ��

I have been lifting weights for over 40 years and I still lift. 40 years ago people were malicious with their comments and often were downright cruel. So I became a closet lifter. At the time I found it easier to hide my muscle than to put up with all the negativity from others. Eg you just said about cutting and bulking but I’ve just watched a video that advises against these phases and links studies.     mixing up training methods, eg. cross fit / bodybuilding

    how many weeks of each, see the problem comes when you shift from bodybuilding to cross-fit,
    whereby cross fit for 12 weeks may effect you gains negatively, thats my problem, i dont want to lose all my progress by doing crossfit.

  • I feel like you are the only fitness guru that talks about failure allll the time…..and it’s wonderful!!!! I fail at maintaining a healthy lifestyle in some way just about every single day, and it seems like no one else experiences that. But you are not afraid to explain your own failures and temptations and it is honestly really motivating to know that someone so fit experiences the same struggles as I do. Bad habits won’t break overnight, and it is so important to have reasonable expectations for yourself, and I love how you push that.

    2016 I got motivated and my relationship to food completely changed (I grew up with loads of veggies, salad and no sugary drinks and I still eat quiet healthy compared to a lot of people I know  I am also not a JunkFood-Fan at all). So I changed the sizes of my meals more or less without really noticing and my stomach got smaller. I lost these extra 10kg (22pounds) I always hated without exercising and really started to enjoyed myself and my body.
    2017 then I went abroad for 4 months, working physically 6 day/week but had a really stressful week and also wanted to try new things and also had the feeling to really fuel my body. I did it a bit too much….I came home and had these pounds back on me…..now I am trying to get to this mindset back, where food is not the first thing in my head and where I start to feel the way I did back in 2016. But this time I also want include sport and when I tried a few sport classes I started to see changes in my arms and my legs. No I also started to focus on my diet again and I came out to have a need of 1800kcal a day (as a women)….so around 1200kcal when I want to loose weight…..isn’t this a really small number? How should I count it, when I cant count every meal I have?..thanks for your help guys <3

  • Your videos are a lot more comprehensive and clear than many others on youtube (i don’t want to insult other youtubers, it’s just a trend I’ve noticed). A lot of people say “Just do it. Just make it a habit.” without going into detail about what that really means. I’m also surprised by how mentally healthy your habits are. Most women on youtube give tips to young girls that can lead to obsessive thinking. They are often too strict on other women, or aren’t aware that other people have a dissimilar life style from themselves (different access to food/stores, access to fitness equipment, different values, etc.) which can make it really confusing and overwhelming to beginners. Thanks for the tips!

  • Hey man, just found out I have tendinitis in my rotator cuff because of calisthenics/my job. My shoulder always hurt after doing pike pushups, I can do handstand wall push-ups with no pain, you know what I’m doing wrong?

    I feel like at some point I’ve been more successful and working out was fun but now I’m not making progress anymore, I rather keep going back. I’ve realised that I’m losing muscle and feeling drained. Currently I work out almost everyday but most of the time I’m really frustrated because it doesn’t work out as planned. There’s a lack of energy and I didn’t know where it came from but my mum kept telling me that I ate too little and that I should rest. Of course I didn’t listen because I felt like it was the exact opposite, so eating too much, and that I’d lose muscle if I didn’t work out. You see, I’m always pressuring myself and pushing myself too hard. Now that I’ve realised what I’m doing wrong and I want to follow your advice.

  • After watching one of your videos from a while back, I went on the macronutrientcalculator to determine how I should be eating. I’m a person who is trying to stay the same size, but gain more muscle and reduce fat. The calculator said that I should be eating 2,000 calories so I downloaded an app to keep track of this and work towards 50% carbs, 30% protein, and 20% fat. I’m doing well with the percentages, but I’m honestly struggling to eat this many calories. I always assumed I was eating 2,000 until actually calculating. Most days I usually have 500 calories left and I’m full. Since I’ve been weight training, I’ve been pushing myself to eat as close to 2,000 as possible, but it’s becoming miserable. Is anyone else struggling with this? Any advice?

  • Dear Natacha, I watch your video “How i build muscles and keep losing fat” over and over again, but I am a little bit insecure if I got your right.
    So, here another question.
    I want to drop a dress size so I will eat in an calorie deficit until I dropped a dress size. Then, I still carry a bit of extra fat on my body (you cannot see my abs, no toned legs or arms), but now I start to feed my body properly (maintaince100 kcal surplus) and I will build more musles but still lose fat and transform my body so that I get abs and so on.
    Is this the advice you would give me?

  • Hye, i am currently really struggling with changing my body composition and building muscle mass. I think that it’s because i am in a professional dance school where i dance about 6hours a day, so i do a lot of cardio. Do you have some tips on building muscle mass while doing a lot of cardio?
