  • So, I’ve done this workout at least 5 times now and it’s just so cool. It’s got power moves (like the 3 squats or the up jack down jack) and it’s got dance moves (like the 8 count turn or the kick ball change) and it’s fast and I’m just whirling round my step thinking “this is so great….I wonder when she’ll post the next one ��”

  • Early on in my gym “career” I mentioned to my crappy personal trainer that I thought it might be a good idea to include drop sets in my routines. He thought that was a really stupid idea and that you should always be upping weight, at all times. I’m glad I ended my relationship with him soon after.

    I love drop sets in machines due to being able to more quickly modify the weight than with something like a barbell and plates.

    I will go to college this year and will study engineering. My father owns an engineering and steel construction and processing company and I work there since last week. Maybe I’m a bit slow in the head for not realizing it during quarantine but I could make any gym machine myself. What gym equip would you think of making? It’s way cheaper than buying the stuff. I thought of dumbbells, barbells, a bench, a dip and pull up bar. Do you think there is anything I’m missing and would have huge benefits?

  • Instead of the tension one’s i prefer the really slow negative. It’s sort of the same thing but i feel like it’ll improve your strengh trough the whole motion instead of working in a locked position.

  • Favourite finisher for push is a time under tension with dumbells for either chest or shoulders. Do a rep, hold at the bottom for 1, do second rep, hold at the bottom for 2, third rep, hold at the bottom for 3… Go all the way up to 12 and then back down to 1. It hurts so much

I love all the combos and the intricate choreography, I know a routine is awesome when a couple of the steps are tough and it takes me awhile to get it, and then I get so excited when I get it down I start thinking about certain combos later and I’m excited to do it again!   • Today we did 3-6-9-12-15-12-9-6-3 with clean and jerk and row calories. Sucked pretty bad because I for some reason can not get a good form on the clean or snatch. Bench is over 300, squat over 300, and deadlift over 400, but can only clean an ugly 185 lol. But only 2.5 months back into crossfit so plenty of time to improve

  • I hope I’m asking these questions correctly….In finding your threshold are you speaking to your heart rate and the perceived exertion from learning that number? Or just perceived exertion? And would you say that finding your heart rate threshold for the goal of a running pace, for example, would be different than finding it for the high intensity dynamic movements of crossfit workouts? And have you used a heart rate monitor or any other tools to determine your thresholds?

  • In general this abs guide “suza great plan” (Google it) is a superb guide and a must have for anybody who wants 6 pack abs. Simply speaking, if you want to look good (and I`m sure, feel great too!) have this book. I have only begun to implement the wisdom within and yes, there is some work involved.

  • I’ve been actively going to the gym for a month straight now 4-5 days a week and I’ve seen some really nice change I’m extremely skinny and I still am but I definitely put on a good bit of muscle I don’t take any supliments or anything I bearly even have an energy drink I’m 16 btw

  • It’s interesting how people feel about dropsets, for instance Eddie Hall advises against ever drop setting, just working up until you’re at 80% of your max (iirc)

I performed every day workout routines shown by the guide and I got Six pack abs consequently. Among the useful parts of this book is the 13 Ab plans section.

  • I’ve got the working out part it’s the clean eating in order to lose the fat layer on top of my lovely 6 pack that’s underneath. Lol.

  • I think when squatting most people only do pause sets…. Guns, wheels, Abbs and shields…. Finishers Ryan what’s his name on YouTube refers to them as widow makers a set preformed at the end with very high reps and lighter weight.

  • The reason I prefer drop sets on a machine is that it’s really easy to actually drop the weight. Just taking the pin out and moving it from 80kg to 75kg is much easier than jumping up off a bench, take off a plate either side, then sitting back down.

You could certainly look nice with 6-pack abs, providing you more self-confidence. Aside from that, six-pack abs does not have any relation to your general mental and physical well-being.

  • One of my favorite drop/super set on my push day is; 5 reps at 225lbs flat barbell bench. Immediately into 20 reps at 135lbs flat barbell bench. Immediately into 20 reps 30lbs dumbbell crush press. I make sure to focus on mentally squeezing the elbows together to really stress the pecs. Just thought I’d share.
