As nerves grow very slowly and don’t automatically line up nerve damage continues to send messages to the brain to interpret as pain and nerve pain is one of the worst there is.This is my predicament as well as a blow out cyst on the L4 nerve root.Interference by surgery has made it much worse.Avoid back surgery unless assurance is that it will help.Chronic pain is for life and coping mechanisms are few especially when hints are that a pyschological factor is involved..My damage was extensive S1,S2.,L3, L4 & L5 involved in multiple pelvic fractures (an open book pelvic fracture) and hip including a butterfly break of the femur.As old age creeps up pain is a persistant problem,believe me I don’t want to have along with major disabilities.Although I have found that sexual excitement can while it’s obtainable and lasts actually obliterates chronic pain.Is this testoserone in action or some other mechanism?
